In the Halls of Darkness (TCO members ONLY)

OOC: I'll be setting the scene and describing everything before I get into things you can respond to. I hope you all enjoy this.

IC: It was raining out; the airfields were slick as far away dropships under heavy guard turned back toward Padmasa. Deep in the cavernous halls of the fortress city servants scurried about, the obsidian hall had been opened for the first time in years uncounted. Guards ran to their posts in dress uniform, and the citizens were shocked to see, for the first time, the highest Padmasan generals and priests walking through the halls in their jet finery.

Xok stepped into the hall, two of his best aides at his back and stopped. He stood at the head of a large staircase that fanned out to either side around a fountain of blood. The hall's floor and walls really were obsidian but they had been decorated heavily. Paintings of the dark masters and of the great battles lined the walls. Directly across from his position was a grand balcony, with twin banners baring the Padmasan eclipse hanging from it to cascade down to from a backdrop for the high table. The lighting was a mix of blue and red lights that created an eerie effect on the room. A buffet had been set up in front of the blood fountain and was hastily being stocked with delacies that not even Xok, in his highest hour, had seen upon returning from a successful campaign.

"You two, mingle with the generals, inquisitors, and priests. I'll deal with the foreigners.

"You! Servant set up the holo-projecter in front of the high table. I want it showing gladiatorial battles until the announcement is made!"

"Aye, lord Xok"

*Xok, sure that everything looked perfect and was set for the arrival of the foreigners set off for his chambers. His armor was buffed and looked better than ever, and the chainsword hanging at his hip looked like a weapon that Death herself would not mind wielding. Having donned his armor and put on his sword, he hastily threw on a coweled black cape, a helmet not being allowed at this event.*

OOC: Now the part you all react to.

IC: At the capital of every nation in The Order a dropship sat awaiting its passengers. Each had a compliment of six guards in full armor and an escort of four gunboats. They had been sent for the leaders or ambassadors of the nations for the first COS (Crimson Order Summit) and were set to fly back to Padmasa at whatever speed the computer choose, for it was that they would arrive in a staggered order so that none saw the other arrive or knew that the others were there. It was not a secret that all members would have someone in attendance, it was just polite.

OOC: It's quite alright. I am not, I am in fact far future-tech. The armor I was speaking of is powered armor and the sword, as noted, is a chainsword. Sort of like from in WH40k. Any other questions?

The rain swept across the palace landing pad as the dropship swooped in for a graceful yet over-extravagant landing. Lord Andrew Steelbane stood at the window overlooking the landing pad. He had always loved the rain. Behind him, with the grace of a Khaajit his loving wife, Lady Jessica Steelbane crept up beside him and slipped her hand into his.

"My dear, I think it is time we got ready for our visit to Padmasa." said Andrew, his gaze still lost somewhere out amidst the pouring rain.

"Ah, the shuttle is here," Jessica said, finally looking down to the pad "What is the nature of this visit?"

"That, Jessica, is something we will soon find out." said Andrew, turning to his wife and grasping her other hand, staring into her shining, red eyes.

Jessica bowed her head, then nodded, turning and heading off to get changed.

Andrew nodded to one of the guards, hidden in the shadows who stepped forward.

"Assemble the elites, select the four that are most least likely to get drunk at a party, and have them dress in full ceremonial Ordinator armour, by the gods we shall show them what true Monolithian prowess is!"

The guard captain bowed and marched out of the room. Lord Andrew turned and headed for his and lady Jessica's rooms.

A few minutes later, before the assembled guards, Lord and Lady entered the waiting dropship with the Ordinators following.

"Greetings, Lord. Sorry we couldn't arrange for better transportation but We needed to be able to get you there on time. Your guards are welcome to follow, however they will have to relinquish all ranged weapons before leaving this dropship. We are heading to the capital and cannot have the FIRST foreigners to enter to be armed."

"I fully understand Herr Kapitän, although they will keep their "Scorpian Stichs",when we arrive, I have ordered them to mingle with the guards covering the guests, if that is fine with you, Kapitän?" inquired Andrew.

"Of course M'Lord" replied the captain.

The dropship lifted off and shot off toward the imposing mountains of Padmasa there was not a sound in the cold metal interior, except that of the drumming of rain on the hull.

Monolith:

“Lord Xok, dropship 276 just called in, they are on their way.”

“Thank you, captain. Ready 4 guard battles, full dress uniform. I want our guests to be impressed with their first look at our men.”

“I’ve already begun lord.”

*Many miles away the dropship slid out of the clouds and began a low altitude run over the steppe. As it neared the capital the landing pads were light up in sharp contrast to the darkness that perpetually surrounded the Fortress-city. The Walls were patrolled even in the impressive storm that caused the waiting guards to stagger, and the cannons tracked the dropship with the clean precision that only a computer was capable of.*

“Lord, we’ve arrived. The storm is really brutal out there and the landing pads are notoriously slick.”

“Thank you for the warning, Herr Kapitän. I will try to be careful.”

*Andrew walked to the back hatch and a Padmasan gunner hit the release. The assault ramp slammed down revealing a landscape light by two floodlights and the neon green lightning that was so disconcerting. The path to the main gates stood before him, it lacked a red carpet but was lined by 200 men on each side, all of them standing at full attention, their right fists clenched at their breasts in salute. Andrew stood transfixed for a moment by the black walls and the green lightning that made the Padmasans in their black leather uniforms seem so devilish. He could now see why they were so feared, this, is the reason I chose to join the Order he said to himself. Jessica nudged him gently and he stepped forward, ready for anything. The gates swung open for him leading through a courtyard and to another pair of gates. As Andrew stepped through this last portal, Jessica at his side and his Ordinators at his back, their shadows dancing over the black marble floor, he looked down into the halls of the underground city, he knew that there was something simply wrong about this place.*

“This way please.”

*A man in gray robes joined them form a doorway Andrew hadn’t seen to his right and headed off down the path.*

“You are the first to arrive, and must have a moment to prepare before being announced. I’m sure the ante-chambers will suffice for a few moments.”

*The Monolithians followed and soon found themselves in a small room, one wall was a mirror and next to the door there was a speaker with several buttons set slightly below it.*

“Please relax for a few moments, press the red button when you are ready to go The Obsidian Hall”

*The guard left them then, the cold metal door slammed shut behind him and Andrew once again looked at the completely bare room around him with it’s dark stone walls, floor, and ceiling. It seemed wrong.*

Convict: OOC: That's fine, I'll try to get the ball rolling for ya.

IC: The Dropships swept from the landing pad and shot off, in the distance the mountians of Padmasa loomed ever closer. The 'ship was rocked by turbulance but continued in it's shadowy flight.

"Sorry, Ambassador. We'll be arriving soon. Just hold tight and don't try to get up."

The Kapitän's words were punctiuated by another bout of turbulance that threw the occupants against their restraints.

As soon as the door was closed, Andrew looked to the Kapitän of his Ordinators.

“Heinrich, the shield belts if you please.” Said the Lord.

Heinrich reached into the knapsack hidden beneath his cloak and produced two compact personal shield generators, designed to repel fast moving projectiles and quick stabbing thrusts, and handed them to Andrew, and attached placed his in the small compartment in the rear of the suit of ceremonial Daedric armour and placed the other in a similar compartment on Lady Jessica’s Domina armour. He closed the cover to both compartments and the shimmering effervescence enveloped the couple.

“Ordinators!” he suddenly shouted, his voice reverberating around the room “I want you on your utmost alert! Be prepared to come to the aid of the Padamasan guards, but remember! Do not kill the assailant! Use a sonic grenade on the infidel! I want him to be, ‘interrogated’!”

“Also,” added Lady Jessica “Be extremely polite to our hosts! Even more than what you are to me and our children.”

Andrew placed his arm into the small of Jessica’s back, she placed her hand in his, and Andrew pressed the red button.

OOC: Sorry, I've been having trouble with my ISP. I'm writing a reply in word right now...

Monolith:

The door slid open once again and a man, probably the same man who had led them before, stood smiling at them.

“Your swiftness is appreciated. If you will follow me I will take you to The Hall.”

“Lead the way, then.”

The Monolithians fell into step behind their guide as they passed through the dim hallways of Padmasa. Suddenly they found themselves in a dead end hallway facing, what seemed to be a blank wall.

“What treachery is this?” Andrew Roared.

“None, my lord, I assure you there is none. Now please tell your guards to lower their weapons.”

The Ordinators had pointed their weapons (sorry, forgot the name) at the man. As soon as these dropped he walked to the far wall and pushed it. Andrew was on the verge of laughing when the wall actually swung open revealing a vast open chamber. There were already a few people standing around, most were in clusters next to some painting on the wall. The Guide stepped forward and called into the chamber his voice reverberating off the walls.

“His lordship, Andrew Steelbane and her ladyship Jessica Steelbane!”

The guide stepped back and gestured Andrew and Jessica forward. As the couple strode out onto the landing arm in arm shock went through those assembled. Xok himself turned a mere moment after they had been announced and stopped dead. Elves! The enemy itself was in Padmasa! No, one moved for a single moment and then as the couple started down the stairway Xok strode forward to meet them.

“Why did they not tell me? We should have known!” Xok growled as he approached the two. He arrived just as they reached the last stair. Xok, who towered over them with such ease in his armor, knelt to kiss Jessica’s hand. It was comical, and some of the arrayed Padmasans laughed outright. Xok stood and glared at them, or at least Andrew though he glared… he really couldn’t tell because of the cowl Xok wore. Xok thrust out his hand to Andrew and grinned wolfishly, exposing glittering fangs.

“It is a pleasure to welcome you, the very first foreigners ever, to Padmasa. I am Grand General Xok, unfortunately Haruat is out on diplomatic business and The Masters never reveal themselves, so the duty of hosting this has fallen to me.”

Convict:

“Sir, whom did you just radio? Pilot! Hover here, until we know what’s going on I’m afraid we cannot proceed.”

*The dropship came to an abrupt halt that threw everyone against their harnesses.and the six Padmasans drew weapons.*

OOC: Sorry man, but the detection gear we use can “see” radio, laser, and other emissions.

IC:"Whoa! are we stopping because of the weather?" screams Thomas.

*Looks around and sees guns pointing at his direction*

"Whats going on? Why am I being treated as a criminal?"

*Hears the guards questions"

"Don't Shoot! Don't Shoot! That was only my homeland base and i was just turning on my GPS system. This system keeps me in contact with my homeland and gives my position to my country. I am an important national figure and my country took every possible precaution to guarantee my safety.I see that this creates a problem."

Andrew shook Xok's extended hand, noting the considerable pressure he was applying to his hand. Andrew leant forward and whispered to what Andrew took to be an ear "Is it just me, or do you have something against the Drau?" he said, leaning back with a smug grin, the years of Jessairit training had paid itself off in that one moment, being taught to judge a mans weight, size, strength and emotions in a single handshake was a very handy trait.

"Ahh, I see, you don't seem to be doing too badly by the looks of it." he said in a voice loud enough for the entire room to just hear.

Jessica, after taking her chance to absorb her surroundings, noticed the fountain of blood and beckoned the guard commander to her side "Rose, crimson, my hand, now." she said simply. The captain removed his ceremonial crimson red rose from his cloth belt and placed it in her upturned palm.

Jessica stepped forward and slipped it into her spouse's cloth belt in a single, gentle motion as she took his hand, which was held behind his back politely, and rubbed his gloved palm subtly over a rose barb.

Andrew, noted the glance Jessica gave to the fountain and the rose in his belt, knew immediately what to do.

"Excuse us for a moment, Herr Xok, there is something we must do." said Andrew, producing the crimson rose and marching briskly towards the fountain, both kneeling before the fountain, he broke the head off the rose and placed it gently into the bottom pool, gently dipping the palms of his hands into the blood, his wife doing the same, and returned to General Xok.

Lord Kentaka finally got out of his office. After days of going over budget reports and military figures, he had enough. He threw the rest of the papers on the First Minister Abakum's desk and told him to haev a good week.

The First Minister then took those papers and threw them in the garbage. "I'm going with you. This is not the type of government we should have."

"Very well. Pack your bags and shower. This move from Proxima Centauri has given us a lot of burdens. I'll meet you in an hour at the airport."

Lord Kentaka donned his ceremonial Crimson robe and took the Sword of Sparta down from the wall. He put it in the sheath and affixed it to his waist.

Kentaka and Abakum met up at the airport. The Crimson Guard were waiting for their master and saluted him as he boarded the dropship. The head of the Crimson Guard, General Ogana, met Lord Kentaka and First Minister Abakum on the ship. The three men were now ready to leave.

Hopefully this trip will allow me to get a decent night's sleep, Kentaka though. He would need his rest before the first Crimson Order Summit.

Convict:

"Sir, We are, of course, sorry to do this, but the location of certian parts of Padmasa (the city, not the nation) cannot be known. You must relinquish the device and any others you may by carrying, or we will simply use a Pulse Grenade to destroy them all and possibly crash the dropship.

"Pilot, get us moving again, but prep the self destruct, the back-up systems, and tell our escort that if you do not radio an okay in 10 minutes, and the self-destruct does not go off, to open fire. We will take no chances."

The dropship began moving slowly, and the Kapitän held out his hand to The Ambassador. He had not put away his side arm.

"Sir, incase you are thinking of being less than honest, I think I should tell you about this little piece of equipment." He holds up his sidearm. "This is a standard issue Devestator Flechette Pistol, it fires a 25 mm Flechette round, the same thing our shotguns fire. Do you know what a Flechette round is? It's a rather wonderful design, it's like a buckshot round, except that instead of pellets, there are hundreds of tiny needles that will shred the flesh off a man. Oh, and here's some trivia for you... did you know that a needle can go through Kevlar with ease?"

Monolith:

Xok grinned, "Aye, you might say that..." He spun on his heel suddenly and strode over to the buffet gesturing for Andrew and Jessica to follow him. He picked up a plate and put several crab's legs and a pastry on it. "I reccomend the Chicken Marsala, or The Filet Menion, with the berniase sauce." (Two of my favorite things to cook and eat IRL) Having given them time to take food he walked over to a painting, it was rather large and showed a great battle, hundreds of men in Padmasan black charging at lines of men wearing silver and gold. Close inspection revealing that the men in silver were elves. The sky in the battle was another point of interest, it was a blood red, with neon lighning jumping across the clouds.

"I am sure you do not know of this battle, and likely do not know the history of Padmasa. But this was the last battle, outside the elven capital. You see Padmasa, except for the mountian realms, had fallen under the rule of elves. The Masters, deep within the mountians, where even the elves did not walk, became great magi and united the folk that lived in those wastelands with them. Our legions were great, and the elven mages could not stand against The Masters. The legions razed the city, and the Magicks of The Masters ensured no elf escaped. Ever since the war , no elf has set foot in Padmasa and lived... It seems you, our stalwart allies, have just become an acception."

Xok smiled faintly. "You have caused quite a stir. No business will take place this eve, so you should feel free to enjoy yourselves. However I will caution you not to indulge in the Black Drink... a glass of it will likely have us carrying you out, not to mention it's other properties..."

Crimson:

"Welcome aboard, sirs. Are you fully prepared to leave?"

"Yes, Kapitän."

*The assualt ramp raised, seemingly of it's own accord. And the dropship spun in the air, before shooting off toward Padmasa.*

"Sirs, I'd caution you to strap in, there will be a lot of turbulance over Padmasa... If you have any firearms, I must request that you turn them over now, they will be given back during your departure. Also, if you have any comms, GPS locators, or other devices that would give away your location and indirectly give away the location of rooms in the city I ask that you also give those up. We have had problems with certian other guests that we wish to avoid..."

"High-elves!" spat the Lord "I assure you, we Drau do not allow those foul heathens into our beloved home!"

"Too right, the so called "high-elves" forbade our beloved arts, it is then that the great civil war began, after our forces won the war, we cast out the Altmer from the Empire." said Jessica, reassuring Xok that they too, despised the abhorrent Altmer.

"We will have to invite you to our home sometime General." said Andrew "Quite possibly at the next summit. To repay your, hospitality."

"On an altogether different subject, do you enjoy theatre?" Jessica asked, changing the subject from that of delicate politics, "We have a brilliant play being performed in the Hall of Masks called 'A Hypothetical Treachary', we have not seen it yet, but plan on in the near future, and would be delighted to have you accompany us, wouldn't we Andrew?"

”Do either of you take even a passing interest in Gladiatorial bouts? The holos we’re running are rather good bouts, but nothing spectacular. It is really a shame, the way the sport is fading these days.

“But, it is no time to be wistful. And we should speak of matters that are just between our nations. You see, we like to encourage good relations and it helps that our allies’ leaders won’t end up dead. So we are giving up some of the Cybertech we have to allied leaders so that they have long healthy lives. “We did like a good gladiator match, but then they were outlawed by the council, dueling is the only sport that comes close, although it has to be approved by the games council, it’s a duel to the death, winner taking all. "Well, this should be a good time. Good food and good company are never bad things," Kentaka mused while they stood and stretched.

"Yes sir," Ogana affirmed. Then he turned towards the guards and said, "There are going to be guards here from all different nations. Talk to them and see if they've got anything good to teach you." General Ogana didn't think the elite Crimson Guards needed to learn anything, but it's best to keep them on their feet.

"His Lordship Kentaka, First Minister Abakum, and General Ogana" the guide shouted into the chamber and gestured them onto the landing.

OOC: Nope, it's all up to date. And if you understood how profoundly paranoid I am you'd realize I'm going light. And yes, it is likely you are less advanced than some of us. Then agian, I still barely ever use laser pistols, dispite the fact that they are in mass-production. That says something about me, I don't know what.

IC: "Pilot radio in, everything is okay. And get us moving will all speed."

The guards sit silently, having put away their weapons... the flight lasts a mere 20 minutes longer. When the dropship hits the ground with a disturbing thunk the kapitän hits the release and the assault ramp slams down.

"Just head through the doors, you will be guided to an ante-chamber to compse yourself before being taken to meet the other delegations."

OOC: Gah, I refuse to discribe this again! Let us just leave it at:

*As you enter the complex a man in grey robes meets you and leads you to the ante-chamber, that has been discribed SOOO many times before, to compose yourself.*

Lord Andrew Steelbane stepped forward, his wife still standing faithfully at his side.

"Lord Kentaka, Minister Abakum, General Ogana." he said, both he and his wife bowing to each in turn.

"The party seems to be growing in size," he said with a grin "I think our guards look a little bewildered, would you like them to mingle?"

Kentaka stepped foward and bowed as well. "Lord Andrew, Lady Jessica, it is an honor to meet you."

Abakum and Ogana nodded and bowed in agreement. The two guards stood behind the delegation and General Ogana turned to them. "It's ok. We'll be fine. Eat and enjoy yourselves."

The guards nodded and walked away.

"Lord Xok," Kentaka started, "it has been a long time since we have last seen each other. It is good to have The Order back together."

"Aye, it is good that everything is back together once again. Lord Kentaka, we have business to discuss, tonight. I promis, this will be the only serious thing that happens all night."

*Xok grins then turns to shout at the gaurds from both delegations.*

"If you drink any of the Black Drink we cannot be resposible for what happens!"

*Xok turns back.*

"I shant repeat the warning, and I don't feel like carrying a national leader to bed. Anyway, Lord Kentaka, we like to encourage good relations and it helps that our allies’ leaders won’t end up dead. So we are giving up some of the Cybertech we have to allied leaders so that they have long healthy lives. We have anti-ageing implants that will extend your lifespan 75%, along with other various augmentations that will make you much harder to kill. "Thank you very much, Xok." Kentaka looks over a menu of options handed to him by a nearby assistant.

"There are so many choices. I will have to think this over." Kentaka folded up the menu and placed it in one of his pockets.

"I don't know about you guys, but I've been working non-stop for a few days, and I need to get a few stiff drinks in me. Ever since we moved back from Proxima Centauri and regrouped The Order, I have had tons of paperwork and other pointless governing to do. I'm sure you agree," Kentaka motioned to Xok, "and General Ogana certainly does, that a man like myself cannot stay cooped up in an office all day. I've gotta get out on that battlefield!"

General Ogana nodded in agreement. "Crimson Sparta was not built on paperwork and beauracracy. It was a nation built on the principles that a man fights for his honor and for his country. That's what the Crimson Guard represents. That's what Lord Kentaka represents. That is what The Crimson Order represents!"

Andrew nodded to Kentaka "I agree completely, although there is a time when paper-pushing is the equivalent of fighting for honour, but I'm still trying to find that time." he said with a chuckle "But I try to get out of the offices at least twice a week, just watching the creation of a battleship is beautifull, I trust you have been briefed on the new Scythe Mk. Thomas then arrived amidst the semi-circle of leaders and generals.

OOC: Many apologies for my late reply. But you wanted the arrivals to be staggered, didn't you?

IC: A Crimson Order Summit? Sounds like an interesting getaway.

Emperor Brittanicus thought about who to bring along with him to the summit. The Emperess, a few military personnel, head ambassador Baroness Julia and... The Emperor looked at a repotr on his desk from the economic advisor, Milton Friedman. Friedman... He paused and thought. A Crimson Order summit is probably one of his worst nightmares. Huge people dressed in battle armor, things that would scare most people. More thinking... But we might need some economic advice, and Friedman's the best man in the world.

The Emperor picked up the phone. "Dr. Friedman, how are you today?.. Good, very good. Listen, how about you come to the Crimson Order Summit that's going on? We might need you for adivce... Yes... Yes... Good! Pack your things. I'll meet you at the airport. There's a ship waiting for us."

Generals Hal Leslie and James Marion were waiting at the airport with Admiral Sam Chester and Vice Admiral Dennis Hastings. Emperor Brittanicus' limo pulled up and The Emperor, The Emperess (Lady Chrystal), Baroness Julia, and Dr. Friedman exited. They talked for a minute and then boarded the ship.

Xok shook his head ruefully. "Paperwork... Can't remember the last time I did any. You folks need to learn to delegate, though I imagine that it is easier for me to do so, not ahving to deal with all the matters of state," he muttered. "And you have a point, beauracracy only serves to hurt a state and twists it's purpose."

*He then looked up as Thomas arrived*

"I am sure it will, I am sure it will, and I thank you for the compliment. But there will be nothing great done tonight, no, tonight we get to stand around, complain about paperwork, and be overall lazy. For tomorrow, the summit begins in earnest. Also, Thomas relay an offer to Convict's leader."

"Thank you, Thomas. It is good to be a genuis," Kentaka said with a laugh.

General Ogana piped in. "I agree with you, Xok. Paperwork should have no place in the military. We've got some paper-pushers that think everyone should fill out a form for everything... They got taught a lesson though. One day, we were doing maneuvers and their cars "accidentally" got bombed. Let's see 'em fill out a form for that!"

Kentaka and Abakum laughed. It was a known fact that they hated the beauracratic process and tried to circumvent it as much as possible.

Kentaka added, "I guess we could bring back mass executions, but I'd rather have those people for human shields in battle."

The ride had been as rough as all the others, and the passengers could only wait for it to end.

"Sirs, we'll be landing in one minute. Just proceed into the complex, you will be conducted to the party after entering."

"Thank you Kapitän."

The dropship landed with a great thump and after the delegation had stood and readied for it's departure, Kapitän O'Mally hit the release and the assualt ramp came down with a crash. The delegation wlaked through the rain, between the rows of guards with great dignity until they had entered the outer walls, and then they simply hurried into the complex. Outside orders were shouted across the yard and the soldiers once again marched inside, using different enterences than the guests had taken.

"Welcome, sirs, you are likely the last delegation to arrive, as such I will take you directly to the party. If you wish to go to your rooms rather than stay for drinks, just ask a guard and you will be lead to one of the suites reserved for your delegation. I am sorry, but some of you may have to share quarters," The speaker was a man in grey robes who had joined them form a side passage no one had noticed. He lead them quickly to the party.

OOC: You know what's inside, I've described it repeatedly and you have likely spoken with others involved via tg. Also, Convict, everything in the next part of the post is IC, and should be taken as such. "Hmmm, that Thomas is an odd fellow," Xok murmured. he quitely handed each leader a small disc. "You can play it at any computer or holo-projecter in your suites. It's is what transgressed during his ride to the city... heh," XOk grinned to those around him and then turned to look at the stairway, for once again a party was entering the party. It was Cobradom's, at least that's what the national leaders suspected.

"Shall we greet our last, apparant, delegation?" Without waiting for a reply Xok heads off to meet them.

Lord Andrew pocketed the disc as the couple followed General Xok towards the latest arrivals.

"I wonder what that Thomas did on his journey over..." he whispered into Jessica's ear "Whatever it was, we shall find out later tonight."

The final delegation was by far the largest to arrive at the party that evening, the couple waited for their official announcement before they began their greetings of the delegation.

Andrew noted the presence of women in the delegation "They aren't chauvinists, I'll have to remember that." he said to himself, filing away that tidbit of information in his already cluttered memory.

(OOC: Wow, an RP thread that gets updated at a speed i can follow... =) ).

The humongous astral dreadnought Decrepify drifted through the void of space. The dull black and green splotched vessel was hard to pick out from the emptiness around it, or at least, it sort of looked like one vessel. Closer inspection revealed many hulls, joined together, sometimes by welding but more often by a morass of metal that looked like it had been grown than forged. It was irregularly shaped in the extreme, with former hulls jutting out this way and that. No light shone on the outside to indicate it was occupied, nor were the engines engaged. Silent and massive, it slumbered.

It had taken the transport and its escort many days to locate the vessel, but at last they had tracked it down. While no message or query was sent from the behemoth, it was quickly made clear they were expected. A hangar bay slowly opened, illumination leaking through the hole and providing a target to home in on. In short order, the transport had rocked to a landing. Outside the vessel, guards dressed in ancient power armor formed into two lines flanking a path to the shuttle. Their armor was scoured, rusted, and tarnished. Perhaps originally a dark green, it now varied between black to the color of oxidized copper. The armor was also deformed, bulbous or blistering along varying segments, with deep cracks in some of the ceramite plates. Each guard held a mighty greatsword, which they planted tip first into the ground, place their hands on the pommels, and stood at attention.

Escorted by four similarly arrayed guards, two individuals entered the hangar. The first, standing 2.7m tall in his armor, dwarfed the other marines present. His helmet was in his left arm, giving the guards in the transport an unsettling look at his features. Where eyes should have been were deep black pits, void of any detail, which seemed to smoke slightly in the light. Occasionally his tongue flickered in and out of his mouth, long and serpentine, and revealing teeth that resembled the edge of a saw blade along his upper jaw. His short, black hair and angular chin were unexceptional by comparison. Hanging down his back was a black cape, held by epaulets that appeared to be real skulls. Emerging from a rent in his right shoulder pad was a thorny vine, which proceeded to wrap itself down the arm to the wrist. And jutting from a specially made opening in his left glove was a 9" bony projection with a sharp serrated edge that curved up out of the back of the hand and projected forward. His armor was similarly splotched in color to that of his guard, with a greater tendency towards tarnish and rust. The handle of a gigantic sword, over 2m in length, projected from behind his head. The second individual also carried his helm, and his visage was even more horrific. Instead of normal mouthparts he had mandibles like some giant beetle, and multifaceted eyes. His hair was much reduced, being short and bristle like. Rather than the more normal 2 arms, an additional set of arms emerged below the first, this pair ending in three-fingered hands. His armor had been specially designed to accomodate his odd features, or perhaps had changed to match them, and was segmented across the middle of the chest region. He carried a smaller sword in a belt sheath, and an electronic writing device was in one hand.

"I am Ulcoth," the large figure said to the captain, his voice deep and otherworldly. "Let us meet these potential allies." He, his assistant, and his four guards stepped into the transport.

(OOC: They have no weapons beside the swords and a knife each. They have no tracking or positional devices. Making them unlocatable to their god is another matter, but i doubt Nurgle shares that information freely. They will not be discomfitted by a rough ride... in fact, they probably won't even notice).

Ulcoth:

The Kapitän smiles and pushes the button to raise the assualt ramp. The dropship and it's escort dive down toward the steppe, throwing everyone against their restraints.

"My lords, any tracking devices and firearms must be turned in before leaving the craft."

The ride is relatively fast and soon the dropship slides from the clouds and lands with a crash. Guards look alarmed to see another 'ship arriving. The gates swing open once again and the grey robed guide stands looking at the dropship.

"I hope the summit is productive lords."

The assualt ramp once again crashes down and the delegation strides out onto the landing field. They walk to the gates and are lead by the guide to an ante-chamber to prepare to enter the party and to allow the previous delegations to sort themselves out.

OOC: Which chaos god do they follow? I have forgotten most of my chaos lore...

"The delegation from our newest members has just arrived they will be coming down as soon as Cobradom's delegation is settled into the rythm of the party and we have all been introduced. Hmmmm, it seems that Thomas is also going to be joining us again..."

Xok snickers, and gestures for everyone to hide the discs they had been given and not to mention them.

Convict:

The guards look up and one hastily presses a button at his belt. "Having trouble sleeping, sir?" The guard snickers, the man had only gone to bed 20 minutes before. "We could call a medic, get you some pills to help you sleep."

And apologies for being so slow in responding, was away from a computer all thanksgiving).

The heavy stone walls dissipate the echo of the retinues armored footsteps, making their progression to the antechamber eerily silent. The grey-hooded guide taps the door and it swings effortlessly open, the guides features hidden in his cowl as he bows his head towards Ulcoth.

Ulcoth strides to the center of the chamber, his aide taking a position just behind and to his right. His retinue move to form a square about him. As one, the honorguard unsheath their swords, great claymores blackened with age and venom, and clasp the hilts to their chests with blades pointed skyward. The group then stands motionless as they wait to be lead in.

The passage forward is cleared, first by the opening of the doors, then by the triggering of the hidden portal in the stone wall. The guards move ahead of Ulcoth, taking slow, measured steps, and preceed him as a square with blades up and before them. When within 10m of the assembled lords, they stop, take one step to the outside, and turn facing outward, creating passage for their lord. Ulcoth strides through, followed by Belthok (his aide). Belthok makes a clicking sound as Ulcoth and he come to a stop, and the guards each take one step (the forward ones in, the back ones out, demarcating the corners of a trapezoid), and again come to attention. Ulcoth bows to the assembled guests.

"It is a pleasure to meet you at last, Lord Xok. And i greet the rest of you as friends in purpose, if not yet fact. May Father Nurgle bless this meeting."

With another clicking sound from Belthok, the guards sheath their swords and stand at ease. (Legs spread at shoulder width, hands clasped before them).
