Dressed down to identify with the "common man," despite being from an influential wealthy family, that allowed him to attend Yale medical school for 9 years achieving his degree as a general practitioner. The candidate with two first names "Dean Howard," upset an entire region of citizens in an attempt to recieve sympathy votes from minority SilveryMinnow citizens.
Stated Howard, "The flag of Confederation used by Southern SilveryMinnowian's was one that represents the racism of the poor white trash that infest the southern area of SilveryMinnow like a pestilence."
There was only complete silence in the crowd after Howard's statement except for the sound of Howard's staff slapping their foreheads in unison.
Howard later attempted to clarify his statement, "What I really meant was that SilveryMinnowians who display the Confederate flag, are probably just ignorant b*stard's who have no understanding that their flag represents racism."
Howard promised to use the lessons given to him by his advanced degree to carry on an "enlightened discussion," about predjudice in SilveryMinnow. He then phoned his immigrant maid to tell his minority chauffer to bring around his limosene to pick him up
