I'm not a communist either, but I must agree. Communism works...on paper. However, the greed of the leaders of nations keeps communism from working. That's all I got to say.

As part socialist I like to see neo-socialism, as you will, as a blend between capitalism and socialism, such as what is practiced in the Scandinavian nations.

Unfortunetly there are many blinded pro-comunist who dismiss this as petty capitalist plots.

Communism has the same problem that most utopian societies have. It doesn't take into account the vast differences in the way human nature works. If we were all cookie cutter citizens and our leaders were chosen from this pool of conformity, then things might work. Of course, in order to have such a unified populace, things like cultural diversity and civil rights go right out the window. Unfortunately, not all people are the same, and they never will be, so the perfect world is never to be.

This is why the very word Utopia means "no such place"

A capitalist economy encourages innovation through competition. Communism supports mediocrity. Capitalist rats eat Tillamook cheese, and those poor commie rats eat government issue cheese.

Commies = Bad. I'm not a liberty to say why. If I did, I'd have to kill you.

Actually, thats just a stareotypical general view of Communism. Karl Marx outlined a very explicit government in which the proletariat would take over and all comrades would be equal, although the proletariat would continue to run the economy as it had been before.

The problem was that Marx didn't realize that running the economy as before would just prompt the proletariats to make up a new middle class thus creating a vicious circle.

And please, for all who plan to use the Soviet Union, China and all modern communist nations as examples, it has been agreed upon by true communist that they were not really communist.

That's not image of capitalism. Capitalism actually suggest government interference in protecting private buinesses with tarrifs and taxed and small buisness rights.
