we've dumped it

It really depends on the density of the object it collides with. But that's about right.

We have used anti-matter warheads for some time, we are now working on string manipulation. shh :P

How could you work on string manipulation when it is only a vauge theory? Actually, theories. There's more than one.

Essentially, someone who could manipulate strings would basically be a mage.

I'm gonna try it out in my RP... if it doesn't work well, then I'll can it.

Antimatter, eh? I'm in the business too. Lima Beens, would you like to create a joint research project with me? All of my work is done in space, if that's a problem.

Fyreheart abandoned antimatter research after an explosion killed the the research tem.

Lima Been sure has been advancing quickly over the years, what are your plans now?

Maybe this is eluding me, but how is this good RP again? Over the past few threads of Lima Beens, he just makes bigger more powerful weapons. What timescale is RP set to? One day is 10 years? None of this makes any sense to me. And the pinned threads just seem to contradict or not even mention some of these things...
07-11-2003, 02:47
I think one day is a year. So going from nuclear weapons to anti-matter weapons in one year is a pretty big leap

its a good rp because it a good idea that they are now... well....semi rping with

But isn't RP counted as a whole? I mean Lima beens was a modern tech country a few hours ago... Now he's going quite far into the future, and a bit into teh sci-fi realm. (Antimatter is not nearly abundant enough to be gathered in sufficient amounts with modern technology. And it would take a somewhat sci-fi direction to say you could gather tons of the stuff)
Largent

this is true. Also, how would he maintain it for enough time to launch the weapon?

OOC:I'm not trying to be smart with anyone I'm asking a serious question

I thought antiprotons were stable as long as theyre maintain in a perfect vacuum - theyd be negativly charged so they could held in magnetic bottles.

Um, Liverpool England, having the tech is quite different to using it. Who knows, it could be used for reactors. Now please stop screaming the words and leave the fellow alone.
07-11-2003, 05:00
Oh, we are all sure that anti-matter reactors are modern tech...

[ooc: Same with gravitic tech (More tenuous than the string theories, I think), but I see plenty of big honkin' phallic symbols in the sky.]

anyway our goal is to make 10 factorys that each make a kilogram of antimatter a year.

Eek, 1 second
07-11-2003, 22:47
Lima, the best scientists can make about 10 Antiprotons a month... and you expect to make a kg a year? Once you can do that, you become RP ignored by me because you will no longer be modern tech.
Kahta
07-11-2003, 23:12
Lima, stay in modern tech. I too ignore future tech.
