Language(s): Their native tongue is Kitsugo, which is similar to Japanese in its grammatical structure and its use of word-representing rather than sound-representing 'letters' in its written form. Its spoken form is very fluid; listeners unfamiliar with the language often hear only a stream of vowel sounds interspersed with the occasional 'l' or 'n' sound. Most foxpeople also speak English and/or Japanese, and many add an additional language.

The Pynzeenzoc are the descendants of an ancient space-faring race whose planet was dying. They used their limited resources to send as many as possible out to a new world. Eventually the ship found it's way to our planet. Once it landed, it could never take off again. The Pynzeenzoc set up a a primative society, but kept their culture and history imbedded in their lifestyles. They remained multiplying and expanding their community for centuries. In the middle ages they were sighted on occasion and regarded as evil goblins. Finally, as the world developed, their exisitence became common knowlege. The Pynzeenzoc all live together in what is now known as the Community of Pynzeenzoc on a large island in the northern hemisphere. They are generally thought of as isolationists, but lately they have began to share the world's burdens. They have modern human level tech with limited advanced astronomy and medicine (no space-tech beyond modern though). Their numbers are relatively small, but they seem to grow everyday.

Classification: Humanoid. (Homo sapiens noldorin)
Height: Both males and females range from 6' to 7'-6" in height.
Weight: Human-normal range; taller than humans but more slender. Musculature tends to be lean and toned rather than bulky.
Average Lifespan: Immortal unless killed.
Average Body Temperature: 310 K
Limb arrangement: Two arms, two legs.

Prefered Environment: Just about anywhere, though preference is for temperate to subtropical regions. Have particular love for forests, mountains, and the sea.
Current tech level: Varies by nation. Menelmacar uses highly advanced technology, approximately equivalent to the Minbari Federation (Babylon 5) or a bit above the Imperium of Man (Warhammer 40,000). Specialty lies in gravitics, plasma physics, and technomancy.
Base element: Carbon.
Medium of movement: Walking.
Social structure: Varies by nation, usually semi-feudal monarchy. Menelmacar is an example of this, ruled by the Elentári (Queen of the Stars), the Conclave of Equals, and the Great Noble Houses.
Other: Some various treatises I've done on Elves follow.
Quote:
The rulers of Menelmacar. An immortal race, they will live forever unless killed, though they can also die of grief. They grow slightly slower than humans do until adulthood, though throughout life they will slowly but steadily grow greater in skill, intellect, and magical potential. Immune to disease, resistant to poison, heal physical injuries without scarring, and have heightened senses. Known for arrogance and decadence; capable of both good or evil but tend to lean towards good. Easily spotted by pointy ears and tall, slender-but-muscular stature. Really don't like Orcs.
Average age: Immortal.
Variations: Five subgroups, Noldor, Sindar, Silvan, Vanyar, Avari.
Noldor: Mostly black hair, though there are also some dark-redheads and blondes (like Siri). Eye color is just about anything conceivable, though usually a bright, vibrant color. Usually fair to tanned complexion. Tallest subgroup. Known for skill in crafting, magic, and combat. Largely prefer urban environments. 70% of Menelmacari Elves. Siri, and most of the Synod, are Noldor.
Sindar: Usually brown-haired. Fair to tanned complexion. Any conceivable eye color. Slightly shorter than Noldor, but still taller than humans. Known for skill in crafting, song and the arts. 15% of Menelmacari Elves. Empress Ilandiel nos Daviónë of Fenwick is Sindarin.
Silvan: About half brown-haired, half blonde. Tanned complexion. Any eye color, though tend towards green. Only slightly taller than humans. Under-represented in the cities, preferring a rural lifestyle. Known for skill in hunting, tracking, survival, and song. 5% of Menelmacari Elves.
Vanyar: Almost all blonde. Fair complexion. Any eye color at all. Only slightly shorter than Noldor. Known for skill in magic and the arts. Tend towards a rural environment, but not overwhelmingly so. 5% of Menelmacari Elves.
Avari: Usually dark brown or black hair. Olive complexion, any eye color. Can be any height the other groups can, as some are descended from each of the other groups. Have a strong martial tradition, and are over-represented in the military and especially the Mornahossë. 5% of Menelmacari Elves. Lady Serendis, the Prefect of Defense, is Avari.
Gestation period: 12 months. Procreate rather rarely.
Average age of puberty: 15-18
Percentage of Menelmacari Population: 95%

A few corrections to the Dark Eldar analysis of our species.
Raem wrote:
Physiology: Elves tend to be slightly shorter, and thinner, than humans, with similar ranges of hair and eye color and skin tone. Their features are often described as beautiful, and every subspecies of elf has pointed ears.
The colors of hair and eyes tend to be more vibrant than the equivalent human color. Eye color can be just about anything conceivable. My own eyes are a rather striking red. Skin tone follows the human range but is fairer on average, ranging from quite pale - the Queen of Galdania would seem to be an example - through tanned to a sort of olive tone. And, we are taller than humanity.
Raem wrote:
Their frames tend to suggest lighter bone stucture, though of course individuals can be exceptionally large or small. Elven metabolisms can only be described as slothful; their incredibly long lives indicate a pulse so infrequent that the heart may only beat once an hour (or even less often).
Possible while in meditation but not true while active. Actually, the Elven lifespan is attributed not to a ridiculously slow metabolism so much as freedom from the limitations of the genetic markers that prevent immortality in other species. Most species, including the humans (whom the Eldar refer to as 'Mon-Keigh' for a reason I have yet to discover) are limited in lifespan due to bits of junk RNA called telomeres, in their cell nuclei. When their cells divide they lose some of their telomeres and when they run out, their cells stop dividing and they die. In Eldar and 'lesser' Elves, there is either simply far, far more telomeres, or less of them are lost with each division. In 'greater' Elves, however, such as those in Menelmacar, there is the ability to replenish the telomeres; as each division occurs and telomeres are lost, an additional, equivalent amount is added at the base of the sequence. The cause of this remains unknown. The newly-generated telomeres are, as far as we can see, randomly generated. The effect, of course, is to allow the Elven body to function indefinitely.
Raem wrote:
Additionally, subjects have shown little need for sleep, even over long periods of time, and this may be further evidence that their bodies are paced so slowly that they are barely even alive as we understand the term.
True, however, we do require some degree of meditation or sleep. Usually only an hour or two per day. We have a fair bit of flexibility about when this can be taken; Menelmacari businesses tend to be open twenty-four hours, as the market is scarcely less busy at night than during the day. If we desire - and some people do - we can sleep longer than the minimum.
Raem wrote:
Finally, despite this slow metabolism, some elves seem incapable of consuming meat (whether this is due to cultural or biological influences is unknown; certain subspecies, see the "eldar" and "drow" entries, seem perfectly capable of eating meat of any kind, and seem to take great pleasure in consuming the meat of intelligent creatures).
Elves have the same omnivorous diet as humanity. Any preference towards either vegetables or meat is purely cultural. However, alcohol affects us differently than it does humans. We do not become impaired or inebriated ('drunk', I believe, is the human term?) but rather drowsy and sleepy. We can take more alcohol than a similarly massed human, probably because our taller bodies mean there is more bloodstream for it to mix into. But when we reach our limit, we'll sleep happily for a good while - ten to twelve hours, usually. It should be noted that upon waking, we are quite refreshed, as one might guess from such a nap.
Raem wrote:
Notable examples of the legendary elven longevity include Sirithil nos Feanor, who is reputedly over forty thousand years old (which would make her roughly half the age of the modern human species, to put things into perspective).
And older, I should note with some pride, than human agriculture, toolmaking, or use of fire.
Raem wrote:
Due to their ridiculously slow metabolisms, elves only seem to be fertile once every few years, with some women only capable of bearing children once a decade, with gestation periods measured in years. Despite the low birth rate, the lack of death due to disease or natural causes means that the elven population easily sustains itself, and looks set to grow indefinitely. Additionally, elves are immune to disease, a quality that has confounded human medicine for hundreds of years.
Generally true, though gestation is approximately one year to thirteen months, give or take a couple of weeks. I should know, I've done it seven times. Interestingly, Elven reproduction seems almost a conscious decision in many cases. The birth rate rarely rises above two births per couple. This leads to a greater growth rate than one might think. As the dark one stated, while in human society two per couple is the minimum to sustain the population, since the parents will eventually die, the statistical maintenance rate of births per couple for population maintenance in Elven society is somewhere around 0.15, to reflect the number of individuals who meet their ends in warfare, accidents, or foul play, even though it is likely the majority of the population will not. This is moderated, however, by the relatively few occasions on which Elves bother to procreate.
Raem wrote:
Culture: Elven culture can best be described, except with a few noted examples, as archaic. Many elves live in small tribal communities that eschew modern technology, and even only rarely make use of what we would describe as primitive technology. They seem to desire harmony with nature and peaceful lives. This cultural stereotype has rendered many humans incapable of seeing them for the dangerous, hostile, and agressive beings they can be. One notable exception to the peaceful stereotype is the superpower Menelmacar. Technologically advanced, yet physically still Homo Neo Terra, the elves of the Menelmacari empire more closely resemble modern or postmodern human societies in attitude and disposition.
It is interesting that it was not noted that the Menelmacari and the Eldar are roughly equivalent in their level of technological development. While the Eldar are more ancient, there has been a long period of decline and/or stagnation following what they refer to as 'the Fall', which can best be described, to my knowledge, as a species-wide descent into decadence so deep it caused the wholesale collapse of their interplanetary empire. One might also note the Kalessin people, genetically similar to Elves and also very long-lived, arguably immortal. They, too, have stagnated in decadence, though at a far earlier stage in cultural and technological development, living solely for their own gratification. Menelmacar, on the other hand, is on an ascendant phase, soon to reach the critical mass at which it can make wide-scale expansions into the stars. This parallels early Eldar history, from what records exist of that period. It is unknown whether Menelmacar will experience such a Fall in the far distant future.
It is also interesting that both Menelmacar and the Eldar have selected similar areas of technology in which to specialize. Gravitics is a big one, with both peoples attaining near-total mastery of gravitational manipulation, and applying this knowledge to nearly every conceivable area of their daily lives. I myself consider it the most versatile technology since the electronic microprocessor. Even the physical design of some vehicles of each race are quite similar.
Both seem also to have something of a preference for energy weapons over their projectile counterparts, though projectile weapons are spurned wholly by neither Menelmacar nor the Eldar. They also seem to have a preference for bladed weapons, particularly swords, not abandoning them even in an age when firearms and similar ranged weapons are supreme, but rather, retaining and developing them to a highly advanced and unquestionably lethal degree. There are other similarities, but these are the largest ones.
Another interesting similarity is linguistic. Menelmacari have only begun to study the Eldar language in depth, for it is deeply complex, but at the deepest levels there are some vestigial similarities to the Menelmacari Quenya language. Even the very name, "Eldar", is a Quenya word, meaning "People of the Stars". Selected originally for the primary reason that Elves used to be a nocturnal people, long ago ('twas a simpler time...), it seems also quite the appropriate name for an offshoot who had made the decision to launch themselves to the stars. Another theory slowly gaining interest is that the Eldar might not be an offshoot, but could possibly represent the far distant future of Menelmacar itself. It is a fascinating but worrying possibility in a growing field of study. Yet Eru Iluvatar's great Design permeates all of existence, even the chaotic aspects; some of these theorists are hopeful, in the belief these temporal 'hijinks' of the Warp may rather be a warning, a glimpse of but one tragic path in a very fluid and very distant future.

Other: The Clanger was not originally native to Iuthia, however we have had a small number move into our boarders possibility due to the discovery of soup wells several years back. A lot of information isn’t known about the Clanger, as they are a rather odd race of people who communicate to one another by making whistling noises, only recently we have managed to break the language barrier and incorporate them into our society.
How many?: Iuthia’s clanger population is currently at 14’300 (0.01% of all our population).

Medium of Movement: walks (biped)
Social Structure: egalitarian liberal socialist democracy
Other: Reproduction: sexual with an 8 month gestation period carried by the female
Pigmentation: an evolutionary mutation in pigmentation has developed the striking array of blues in the skin.
The Head: Four pairs of cranial protrusions, which give a heightened perception of smell and sensitivity to atmospheric changes. Two large eyes are recessed in the skull to avoid damage in bright light, they provide homo-superior night vision and are highly photosensitive. The cranium itself is rather large, but the porus bone structure and substitution of cartilage reduces stress on the spine. Two pair of nostrils exists, one pair behind the inflexible cartilage protrusions in the jaw and the other pair just below the protruding eye ridges.
Rest of Body: A reduced torso is compensated for by increased chest area, filtering the heat from respiration and blood flow in the heart through the other organs. The skin is able to increase or decrease the level of pigmentation in accordance to the gradual change in climate. The skin itself is relatively thick and rough, owing to the corrugation of the surface to increase heat conservation, it is able to become flaccid and loose as temperature increases. Tiny hairs within these groove lines make Biotopian’s skins fell ‘felt-like’ and further minimalise heat loss.
Health Problems: Fracturing or splintering of the bones within the limbs, as well as wear on the cartilage in the elbow, hips or knees. Common ailments include infection of the airways, damage to the sensitive cranial preceptors and the wearing down of teeth.

Other:

Name: Noldorin Elf (Elf varient)

A few corrections to the Dark Eldar analysis of our species.

Species: (Blue) Biotopian
Classification: Humanoid
Height: 210cm
Weight: 93kg
Life Span: 94
Average Body Temperature: 37.2 C
Limb Arrangement: two arms, two legs
Language(s): Biotopian
Preferred Environment: Temperate grasslands
Current Tech Level: post-modern
Base Element: Carbon
