A young almond-eyed human male with tanned skin and a high brow topped with jet black hair to match his eyes sits at the INN newsdesk, and the symbol of the Empire of the Eternal Dawn adorns the wall behind him; the words 'New Foreign Policy For New Administration' blaze across the corner of the view dramatically - in full glorious trimensional projection where available. And of course, the now-traditional ticker flickers its way across the screen, tailored to the local language of the viewer.
With a smile, the young newsreader - palms flat against the desk and calm as a rock (definitely anxious, to the trained eye, however - first timer, but with the cool calm expected of the INN staff) - begins to speak. His rolling baritone Turath accent - rippling rr's and lilting p's, in this case - is, of course, only audible in the Empire. Elsewhere, a manufactured version tailored to the capital of the nation transmitted to is all that is heard - INN spares no expense, now that it has gone solar.
"Our main story this evening, of course, is the policy shift announced this morning by the EOTED Executive Council. For our foreign friends, the Executive Council is now, of course, composed of five High Lords and Lady, the Empress, and the High King. Comprising the August Empress Rialla 'The Merciful' ux-Rihad II, the High King Semir-randil I of Ma-Nenya, the High Lord Commodore Ax-randiri Rihad of Ax-turath, the High Lord Aquinall of Ma-tek, the High Lord Aglar ux-Rihad and High Lady Danielle Pariskova of the Sol Orbital Colony of Vilya Elenosto. - The Executive Council, of course, is the executive branch of the Imperial Government - responsible for matters of defence, state urgency, general security, and all matters relating to Solar foreign policy.

"The primary point outlined is the decision to-,"

"-and the primary focus of the new policy, of course, will be to take a more pro-active and hardline stance on the matter of geo-political stability. This will, of course, mean streamlining the IDF to the tune of a 60% size reduction over the next four months in the primary focus of the IDF GF. Those personnel currently occupying IDF GF positions will be redirected to the new IDF Non-Lethal Peacekeeping Service, or IDF NLPS. This section will be headed by the newly created IDFNLPS-JCT Division, lead by the Imperial Father His Imperial Loftiness Si Ling I and the Imperial Mother Her Imperial Loftiness Bao Ling I.
"The goal of the new IDF branch will be to provide assistance/stabilizing influence in zones of extreme danger to civilian populations, and to secure the safe transition of trade items during wartime (if so requested). The new branch will, as always, report directly to the Council. Combat theatres designated as 'primary threats' may also be responded to with use of the Peacekeepers, but only with the supermajority (of 75% total Government Servants of the People) consent of all three primary branches of the Imperial Government.
"Other focus areas of the new foreign policy will centre around a general push towards efforts in line with the goals of recent diplomatic efforts; stability will remain a central and driving force in the aims of the Empire of the Eternal Dawn for the foreseeable future.
"Economic activity - trade establishment and economic oppurtunity generation for intra-EOTED for-profit organisations - will also be a central goal, as will be improving general diplomatic relations-"
