Incoming transmission... routing to Ganymede.
Outgoing transmission, routing to Arkship...
<BeginTransmission:Ganymede->Arkship->Angelus Mainframe>
You intrigue Us. An envoy will be dispatched to Europa at the first opportunity.

ooc: Europa installation.....normally I would raise a fuss. But considering I haven't bothered to RP a recovery yet, I guess I can't say much. *grumble grumble grumble* :? :wink:

A tiny StarFish lifted away from the southern pole of Ganymede, and orbited towards Europa. Following the indicated beacon it touched down and awaited the welcoming committee.

The Beacon is located near a low hill, a slight rise in the surrounding emptiness. After a few moments, a large openning appears in the hill, as huge gates slide far enough apart to permit the exit of a single gravdisc carrying a single occupant.
The disc draws nearer, and G4 nods in respect towards the Starfish.
Please, come this way.
The disc rotates and moves off towards the fissure.

A black Snel exited the StarFish and followed G4. As it moved, it was quickly apparent that the black coloration was due to a bodysuit of some kind, not its natural skin color. Strapped to its belly was the usual translator/synthesizer.
"Exactly where does this way lead?"

G4 turns and looks at the Snel. The shaft leads through the mantle to very near the moon's core, where the Angelus subMainframe Angelic Skies is in residence.
It is much warmer there, and the spawning pools should provide adequate relaxation for you. We have something very specific to offer you, and this is as good a place as any to speak with you about it.

"I see. Lead on." The Snel then remained silent, awaiting arrival at their destination.

G4 smiles and leads the Snel deep into Europa, the smooth metallic walls never changing in appearance, but the gradual increase in warmth clearly revealing their rapid descent.
After a short while, the tunnel opens into a large cavern, all wrapped around a massive miniature of the Mainframe housing on the WorldDisc. Huge domes surround it, and the sounds of heavy industry echo through the caverns.
G4 nods to the Snel, and continues leading it down between the domes. You are the first outsider to be down here since the Sephirum all died out almost a century ago. She smiles. And you will be the first non-Angel to see the Spawning Pools.
She continues on to the largest of the domes, and a small door slides open to admit them inside. Immediately, a blast of warm and moist air slams into them, and the muggy atmosphere envelopes them like a shroud.
The interior of the dome is hollow, and large pools of liquid stretch across the floor. Hundreds of spiderbots scuttle around and in between the pools, occassionally dipping their legs into the liquid and doing something unknown.
Welcome to the Spawning Pools, one of three "hangars" for the Angelic Organic Armada.

"Ah, I am impressed. Very nice. The humidity can't be good for machines, though. Am I correct in presuming, then, that the ships are submerged?"
Hmm... artificial gravity, it must be, for things to be walking this deep.

G4 smiles. Well, yes, and no. Most of the automata working in this environment have been specially treated for work within the intense humidity. However, We also rotate machinery as often as possible to prevent corrosion and the like.*
*
She leads the Snel further into the facility, finally stopping before a vast pool of a greenish liquid. A vast form is submerged deep within the pool, and as they watch, it slowly begins to lift from the now-turbulent liquid.
*
We have begun to find that the Organic Armada, while effective, are no longer worth the expenditure of resources required to keep them in active service. As she speaks, the form (http://www.silentrequiem.net/angelus/shadow.html) finally breaks the surface.*
*
Normally, We would simply dismantle something that is no longer useful to Us, but in the case with the Organics, We do not wish to do so for obvious reasons. She smiles and turns to the Snel. Thus, We decided to contact yoy to see if you would be interested in a trade of some sort.

"Ah. I see. Yes, interesting creations these are. I have heard about them before. The one known as Dr. Blue visited you before helping the Sakkrans, yes?" The Snel rubbed its four fingers together, like a fly about to take off. "What would you have in return?"
imported_Angelus
02-12-2003, 04:57
Yes, Dr. Blue was quite helpful in assisting Us in the redesign of the Organic skin matrix. It allowed for faster regeneration, and slower decay while in deepspace. We are much indebted to him, and thus are offering the ships in return for two things.*
*
G4 turns to look at him, her face as blank as ever.
*
The first, an irrevocable promise that these ships never be used against Angelus or her allies in any offensive nature.*
*
And the second, that the Snel give Us access to as much information concerning extrasolar space as possible.
*
This is all We ask, and in return, you will recieve 140 Interdiction-class Motherships, 340 Organism-class battlecruisers, 390 Enforcer-class light cruisers, and 12,000 shadow-class fighters.
* *
Is this satisfactory?

"An offensive attack is not something that a Snel would consider, unless it were the only option available to survive. You have shown no enmity to us, therefore you will have none from us. I can promise this without consultation. As for our knowledge of extrasolar space- much of it is some decades out of date. Still, what we know is yours to ask for. We find it unlikely that a genocide will have taken place recently, so what we have should be satisfactory."
"For such a price, your offer is also most satisfactory."
She smiles. Most excellent. We will begin transferring control of the Organic hiveminds to your people as soon as the proper channels have been cleared. Furthermore, We would like to invite you to bring your information to the WorldDisc, or We would be happy to send a representative to Yggdrasil.*

*
Far away, in Saturnian orbit, a massive host of ships slip back into realspace, their organic hulls glistening in the cold light shining from the distant sun. The living ships fairly pulsated with tremendous potential energy, and a sudden sense of waiting suddenly permeates the area.
*
On the WorldDisc, one of the Kaenian observers hisses through his teeth in surprise, and one of his coworkers turn to him in concern.
*
"Josef, you ok? You seem a little, nervous." The Berserker places a genuinely concerned hand on Josef's shoulder, and Josef takes a deep breath.*
* *
"I'm allright, really... Just that those Organic ships really give me the creeps."

"Good. We have seen the WorldDisc. To my knowledge, you have not visited Yggdrasil. Perhaps it would be more informative to visit Yggdrasil than to meet at the WorldDisc?"

G4 shakes her head. No, I am afraid that We have not been to Yggdrasil, though it has been a desire of Ours for quite some time.
She pauses for a moment, and fresh data from the Mainframe filters through her consciousness.
Finally, she smiles to the Snel. I am pleased to announce that the Organic Armada is ready and waiting. It will begin its jump to the Jovian system in 32.47 minutes.
