President Carter cleared his throat as he sat at the recently rebuilt White House.

"Greetings, from New Genoa! As you may have noticed over the past few months, New Genoa has been very uninvolved in foreign politics. And I've decided to release an official statement to the world.

New Genoa will be entering a long period of isolation. We still plan on trading with our close allies and assisting them in a war that will directly affect them, such as an invasion of their homeland. The New Genoa Greyhounds will still participate in the NSMLB.

New Genoa also plans to resign from the NATO and NAIA alliances. We deeply regret for doing so, but we can longer participate as active members.

Iuthia, the torch has been passed onto to you to lead the NAIA. (OOC: I'll make you admin)

In the upcoming years, New Genoa plans on cutting military spending even more so and devoting the money to social welfare and education. We hope, in time, that New Genoa can strive to become a near pacifist nation. Thank you world."

OOC: Goodbye, Genoa. I wonder, what I can get away with now. *looks to UE/NAIA Non-Agression Pact and laughs, evilly* Just Kidding, anyway, sorry to see you go Genoa.

OOC: Now, I said I would still participate in any direct wars on allies and in the NSMLB.

"What's going on?" One reporter asks as President Morghan J. Harrington strolled out, her hair messy, circles under her eyes and looking as if she hadn't slept in weeks. There hadn't even been time to set up a podium or apply makeup. The Secret Service Agents looked really worried, constantly scanning the skies for trouble. The reporters and their camera crews dutifully hefted their cameras up, lit a few lights and held the microphones up.

"Word of New Genoa's relative isolation reached me even in the closed chambers of an APTO members only meeting. When the Republic of Adejaani was young started reaching out into the world, we met many good friends and allies. However, it was not until one President Carter of New Genoa decided to let us join APTO did we grow in leaps and bounds becoming this awesome nation that I jumbly am the leader of. I could never have hoped to have a better Regional leader, who forged such a strong alliance of nations that time and hardship has yet to break. We will sorely miss New Genoa on the International Stage. I believe that the world has gone slightly dimmer, for one of the greates Voices of Reason has stepped back from the spotlight. Go forth, Old Friend. May you prosper still and forevermore. Thank you."
