What is the cause and/or reason for this invasion?

Tokarev will level economic sanctions against Lecumberry unless they withdraw from Calladria or give sufficient cause for this invasion

OOC: (By economic sanctions, of course, I will mean I will call you a 'big meanie' and not give you any of the fictional money I might have given you before ...)

Lecumberry - your request for a meeting with our leader is denied. Total economic control is also denied you, and we will bring this up to the region as a whole in our defense. Total economic control is unlikely, as we are an economic powerhouse (read our profile) that needs no intervention.

Calladria calls on the peaceloving nations of the region to support her in the prevention of this invasion. We cannot imagine that our fellow nations would sanction this sort of action against a new country with a bright future who is insistent on earning her place in the community of nations. We may consider giving Lecumberry preferential trade terms, but only if this invasion is immediately called off.

The actions of Lecumberry are irrational and foolish. What has Calladria done to deserve falling into your control? Please concentrate your efforts on dangerous rouge nations that may actually pose a threat to the civilized world instead of just trying to take over a powerful economy.

Lecumberry's economy is sufficently weaker than its intended victem that it will suffer an embaracing defeat without the aid of outside nations [many of whom have frightening economies 8) (which is the highest.)]

I ain't RPing with you if you have no specific number, and especially not if you blatently disregard logistics. It takes months to gather an invasion force, muchless get them past my submarine patrols since i'm likely far away from you and reachable only by sea.

A second set of troops has been sent to Oglethorpia to launch an air attack, that will keep you busy!

Calladria thanks its newfound allies of the region who stand for its freedom and the sovereignty of nations. Keep in mind that despite our relative newness in the region, we do have a non-negligent armed force, which has been emergency-mobilized in order to defend our borders. Due to our extremely strong economy, we have been able to begin mobilization rather quickly. Word from our borders say you are not near our lands quite yet (which must be true, since our country was created only hours ago and you could have had no prior knowledge as to our location or terrain for the mobilization of your forces.)

We again thank our allies, and offer foreign aid from our generous coffers to those who would lend intervention on behalf of the free, on behalf of national sovereignty, and on behalf of a civilized region.

In case Calladria is occupied, we will formally protest against Lecumberry. Imperialism by conquoring innicent, independent nations is not tolerated, and it will not be gone without the attention of the international community.

Under consideration we have decided that your present Warmongering and Empire building within the region of the East Pacific is a clear threat to our territorial possesions within the East Pacific.
We will protect other nations against your agression at this juncture in order to protect our own assets in the East Pacific.

Any action by your nation against the sovernity of another nation will be met with force.

The sea-cat hovercraft division speeds toward the Lucumberry invasion force as they land on the shores of Calladria. Stopping about 100 ft off the beach, they speak threough a megaphone.

"You stand no chance of getting away now, surrender or die! Which will it be?"

As the commander finished speaking, lights on the vessels flickered, depicting the missiles which were targetted for areas accross the beach where troops stood.
Assault crews were also readied in smaller hovercrafts, but they were out of view right now-as were the 7 attack choppers readied and loaded to take down enemy men.

"Good evening, I am President James Hirst of Pablicosta,w e have noticed a contingent of Lucumberry troops moving in from your beaches, and have taken action to stop such an attack. It is with this, that we offer you our hand of alliance?"

If, by some miracle Lecumberry takes over Calladria, the Principality will invade and annex both weakened nations.

So, go on! Fight amongst yourselves! Make our job easier!

Good afternoon. I hope you will excuse the delay of my response, and understand that my attentions were necessary elsewhere. We are indebted to you for your support in our time of crisis. We accept your offer of alliance, and offer you the assistance of our own generals. While we have only a small armed force (350,000) with which to defend, I think you will find that our men are extreemly well-trained. We will maintain a defensive stance until the outcome of the peace talks, but we remain at the ready - we can hardly trust a nation that would attack us unprovoked to keep its work of a cease-fire during peace talks. Again, we appreciate the assistance, and I have encouraged our generals and admirals to coordinate their efforts with your own officers until further notice.

Following the Empire of Lecumberry's invasion of the Republic of Calladria, the Commonwealth of Vervun invited both sides to peace talks. Calladira agreed under the condition that Lecumberry issue a cease fire. The Empire soon readily agreed to the terms.

The negotiations will take place within the Commonwealth's capital city of Veyveyr, in the Hall of Marshalls. Chairman Sondar will be acting as mediator. Minister for Foreign Affairs Alex Granger will be attending as representative for Pablicosta as an observer.

Currently, Sondar invites the nations to begin the Veyveyr Peace Talks on Tuesday 11th November at 1:45 (RL, UK time). Should any other nations wish to attend, please telegram Vervun.
