OOC: A pal of mine made this for me, using a sheet he found on the Internet, please give me your opinions OK?

Branch Name: Sharldonian Republican Marine Corps(SRMC).

MISSION: Defense of the Democratic Republic of Sharldonia, acting as First Wave troops in the event of Sharldonian aggression becoming necessary.

HOW DOES IT MAKE WAR?: Tactics are mainly based on the concepts of Maneuver Warfare, mixed with those of Revolutionary Warfare.

WHAT ARE THE TRADITIONS and HISTORY: Pending.

MOTTO: Fortuna suffragante - "With luck on our side"

SONG: Pending.

WHAT KIND OF SOCIETY DOES THE MILITARY BELONG TO: Democratic, they come from all walks of life, and most of them are well-educated, good people, who vollunteered for the Service to serve their nation.

DOES THE SOCIETY SUPPORT OR HINDER THE MILITARY: They are viewed as normal people, just working their jobs in peacetime, in war they are viewed as valiant defenders of the nation, and the people.

WHAT KIND OF RECRUITS DOES THE MILITARY GET: While they do recruit from all walks of life, the Marines tend to get more Middle Classpeople than anything else, factory workers, dock workers, etc... this is simply because there are more of this kind of people than others.

WHAT IS BOOT CAMP LIKE: Harsh, brutal and demanding, like the United States Marines, or the French Foreign Legion.

BUDGET: The Marines have enough money to afford a few high-quality Training Centers, and some bases of average level, but they still must maintain a small size.

RANK STRUCTURE: They have the setup of the United States Marines, Junior Officers are often viewed as "Big Brother Figures" while Senior Officers often are more deserving of the title "Father Figures" soldiers are trained to act independently if necessary, and honesty is a good quality for the most part.

LOGISTICS BASE: They tend to cart around their own supplies and such, and they somehow manage to keep organized, and efficient.

SUPPORTING ARMS: The Marines have no Cruise Missile, Ballistic Missile, or Obital Bombardment capability, for Supporting Arms they tend to use alot of Mortars, RPGs, etc...

ARMOR: The Marines are not really a mechanized force.

MORALE: Morale tend to be average-to-good.

UNIT STRENGTH LEVELS: The units of the Marines tend to be somewhat small proportionatley, to allow for their chosen modus operandi.

HOW DOES THE MILITARY INTERACT WITH SOCIETY? They maintaing a good relationship with society, they're often among the first to go in to help with an emergencey, and they're often visiting schools and such to promote patriotism.

LOYALTY: The troops are well fed, well treated and loyal.

RELIGION: The only trouble here is that, on occasion, religious groups will clash.

MEN AND WOMEN: Men and women are put in integrated units, but the Barracks are in sections to keep fraternization to a minimum, women use special pills to deal with "That time of the month" when on duty, and the equipment load is managed to make it easy for men, and women, to carry.

LIVING STANDARDS: Strict, they are clean-freaks for the most part, and they are treated well.

SERVICE: The Marines are an all-vollunteer force.

How Intense is the training? Very, targets are made to seem semi-realistic, and realistic training excercises are held on a basis regular enough to be of use.

How Experienced is the Military: It has seen little combat thus far.
How violent are the troops: While they grew up in a nice society, troops have often been desensitized since childhood by video games and such, and then the process goes on in Boot Camp.
What is the standard tour of duty: 6 years, unless you "Go Career" which last up to 20 years, more if you choose to, and are able.
