Problems have arisen in the Tydus System. The installed government on Tydus Prime are demanding we do not allow the Taiidan Imperium to have a 20% share of the ring mining operation of Tydus Prime's rings. Citizen Johnson made this press release.

"We demand that the Imperial Navy deny the Taiidani scum access to our rings, and cast them out of the alliance. Aliens have no place amongst mankind! If they refuse, we will declare ourselves independant!"

Citizen Johnson is suspected to have been corrupted by his power, and he has formed a facist regime on our planet. The government is meeting, but the most likely solution will be to remove citizen johnson from power.

The Emperor has released a statement.

"I assure the Taiidani public living in the Imperial Navy that there is no threat to their lives. We will shortly vote to remove citizen johnson from power."

The problem is that 5% of the Imperial population is Taiidani. More as this story develops.

3 Heavy cruisers filled with Dropships and 10,000 troops have been deployed to the Tydus system. they are there to ensure that if Citizen Johnson is removed from power, there is no struggle to remove him.

This is the newly formed Tydus Council! Anyone attempting to remove Citizen Johnson from power will be met with force! This is your only warning!

The Imperial Navy has unanimously agreed to remove Citizen Johnson from power. Dropships are preparing to land...

Dropships move in to land.

"Prepare to deploy men. Set weapons to stun."

"SIR YES SIR!"

Suddenly the Dropship next to them was torn apart by a Plasma missile.

"REPORTING HEAVY FIRE! Need assistance at once, over!"

Aboard the Heavy Cruiser Guardian:

"They are resisting."

"Dammit. He became this corrupt in the time we gave him?"

"Shall I deploy all the Dropships?"

"Confirmed Commander. Take them down. set weapons to kill. These troops are his now."

OOC: I'm going to continue this even if i get no replies. it is an internal issue after all, but Imperial Alliance support would be apreciated.

If not, I'll still continue, this will become a part of the Imperial History archive.

4 Sarrkin Cho class carriers and 3 Destroyers from Tydus III (A Taiidan planet) arrived in orbit of Tydus Prime.

"Call the Guardian. Ask them if they could use a hand."

"TTI we'd love your help-but be careful. he's brainwashed the population down ther to hate Taiidan. If you stay after the combat then Terrorist attacks are guarenteed. You can help-but best you leave after the attack is successful."

The attack force attached to TIN sweeps in from the jump point.

"Armada is here to assist."

One carrier, 5 destroyers, and 15 marine carriers appear.

OOC: Sorry I was involved in something else.

"Welcome Celeborne, then tell them to drop to the planet at once. We're going in hot!"

Fighters surrounded the dropships as they began their ascent. The Fighters provided cover from the Plasma Flak tanks, allowing the Dropships to come down fighting.

Soldier after soldier charged from their dropships, guns blazing. from the larger dropships, Eagle Tanks rumbled out of the hatches.

The marine transports began firing landing pods out like a large gun . The pods self destructed in layers as they entered the atmosphere providing chaff and odd heat signatures to any ground fire.

As the marines hit the ground they activated thier power armor and began moving towards the objective.

"Look! It's a Plasma Cannon Emplacement that shot down our dropship!"

"Call in an Air strike."

A Line of bombers flew above the Plasma cannon. 3 were shot down, but all released their bombs. a a gigantic pink explosion, the Plasma Cannon was utterly trashed.

"Enemy tanks approaching."

"They're the old style tanks. looks like they never got an overhaul."

"Send in the Eagle tanks."

Rumbling over the hill, 30 Eagle Tanks moved to engage the enemy.

Taiidan Interceptors joined the air cover, as 5,000 Taiidan Marines were dispatched in dropships that filled the air like flies.

"Alright men, these humans despise us. I want you all to be extra careful out there. FOR THE IMPERIUM!"

"FOR THE IMPERIUM!!!"

Troops charged out firing Pulse Blaster rifles at the Enemy.

The marines started an inward phalanx movment then split into a V formation and started taking out any armed resistance that they came across.

Commander Francis of the 3rd Battalion made it to the halfway point, and then secured a bunker.

"What are the losses, Seargeant?"

"we've lost 70 men. The enemy has lost 176 due to their obsolete weapons."

"We never gave them a military overhaul."

"Still sir. the Tydus troops have more men than we dropped. we must be careful."

"We'll win, but many of us may die. Remember the objective. capture Citizen Johnson, and secure a surrender. Let's move out!"

The men abandoned the Bunker and began to fight their way uphill. The objective was a massive complex at the top.

OOC: Whoops, I missed this too..

IC: Defiance and Goliath monitored the transmissions to come from the Tydus system.

The two ships zoomed into the area. "Hope we haven't missed too much," Markson grinned from the bridge.

"Good of Larkinia to turn up."

"Indeed. How's the battle going?"

"Well sir. Sorry to disturb your meditation."

"No problem. return to your post."

"Yes sir."

The Admiral closed his meditation chamber once more...

Defiance was unable to land on the planet, but Goliath quickly opened its launch bays and four dropships fired out of the bay, heading to the planet.

"We're on approach. Closing fast. Rough air going in guys, we've got some chop."

"The Eagle tank line moved forward steadily, cutting down most opposition. But it was forced to pull back when we encountered another Plasma Cannon post."

"So?"

"It's a Quad cannon sir. We lost 14 out of 20 Tanks."

"Dammit. Air strike those sons of bitches."

Bombers blew away the Quad Plasma cannon, but the damage had been done.

"Do any of our allies have any heavy guns?"

OOC: Gets out RIFTS Coalition War book... Define 'heavy'

IC: One dropship exploded as its undercarriage was torn apart with plasma fire.

The three remaining dropships landed, as their bays opened, several personel carriers and humvees poured out. The humvees sped forward, the marines manning their cannons swung around to tear an opening for the pulse-laser marines running out of the APC's to get through.

In answer to the question the destroyers began orbital bombardment of the enemy heavy guns.

To Answer the Imperial Navy's question, 5 Heavy lifters delivered 25 Ion Tanks. Each armed with twin-linked Ion Cannons, these would surely tip the balance to the friendly favour.

"Let's move out!" Shouted the Tank captain as they rumbled up the hill.

OOC: This is comming out sweet-battling on another planet...

IC: 2 more dropships touched down, dropping 15 lesser Falcon tanks who joined with the Taiidan Ion Tanks.

"How far now?"

"We should have Johnson in custordy within the hour."

"Good. Keep working on it!"

The Commander threw a grenade in a bunker and watched the defenders fly out of the firey explosion.

"I love the smell of plasma in the morning!"

"We have recieved orders from the Emperor. If things go wrong, we are to bombard and destroy the facility on top of the hill."

"Yes sir. Luckily, they look set to succeed."

The humvees join in with the Imperial Navy and Taiidan tanks, and the marines with them spread out behind them.

There was a mighty explosion as Imperial Troops blew off the main gate of the facility and swarmed into the main sector of the structure.

Guard posts immediatly began to fire, but these were quickly scilenced by the Tank group. Imperial, Taiidan, Celebornian, and Larkinian troops flowed inside the compound.

Compact walkway combat was inevitable.

The first squadron of marines moved into the main sector.

"We've got walkways here and here," one said. "Angel group take the right, Freedom group, left."

The second squadron rushed in and split off to the left while the first group moved to the right. Guards at the end of the walkways fortified themselves and started firing at the marines closing in.

The marines closed forward, chunks of their armor being blown off and others falling dead by the return fire. The lowered their pulse lasers and fired back.

"Get the Flamethrowers."

A Flamethrower was handed to each team.

"This should keep the corridors cleansed."

"Move out! Remember, carpture the Citizen, don't kill him!"

The flamethrowers caught up quickly to the marines in the corridor.

Two marines knelt down and set their pulse lasers to automatic and emptied their clips into the waiting guards as the flamethrowers moved forward and lit up.

The Commander led his men forward, blasting man after man.

"Keep it up men! We're almost there!"
