OOC-Right I have TG'd Intelia and asked to change the system to allow for RP's, it will certainly better his system, BUT you must stick to your purchased army!

IC-

100 T90 Tanks and 100 M1 Abrams line up patiently on the borders of Spotania. Their neat formations are quickly blurred as 300,000 Black Cat's take cover behind them, checking their weapons as they crouch.
The men can see an outpost on the Spotanian border, but as they are just out of view from it, they shouldn't be spotted.
The T90 tanks ready and load their artillery long range cannons, and the Black Cat's pull back abbout 20 feet.
And then the commander screams, and across the tidy lines of tanks explosions fire out as artillery shells begin soaring towards the outpost. The tanks judder back and forth befre unleashing one more round on the outpost, and then switching back to regular mid range fire.
When the dust has settled arround the outpost the tanks begin slowly moving forward, heading for the post to complete the take over.

ummm.... I don't think that there is artillery in the game.

oh wait, lol i see you are referring to your tank cannons. lol, i misunderstood.

Trinton starts moving all of it's T-72 tank units to the border of Spotiana, also bringing in reinforcement of 1 million Infantry soldiers.

Yeh, T-90's can be equiped with very long range, hih explosive shells, efectivly making them artillery.

You should TG this thread to spotty.

oh yes, and Pablicosta. About the thing about RPing wars. I think it is a good idea, but we should be only aloud to RP in a limit. For example, 1 person cannot say, I attack with this and this units and destroy the enemies this and this units. It should be so, person 1 says i attack with this and this units (and the "recorder" or lets just say the GM, decides who prevails in the battle. :) So lets have somthing like this:

Everyone divides their nations to sectors. So if I have 2 million soldiers and I divide my country into 2 sectors (so my economy doesn't suffer a direct hit), I will have 1 million soldiers in each sector. The benefit of this will be that when we attack, our money, which will also be divided into two, will not just dissapear as it would if there was only 1 sector. Example, when i recently got attacked, i lost money in the millions. If i had lost it in the Billions, my country would be almost dead now. So if there are 2 sectors, and if all the money gets destroyed in sector 1, you still have money in sector 2. Think of sectors as "borders". A country can attack and take over your sector and vice versa. I agree, that this might be a bit more work, So i think that there should be only 1 recorder but there should be referees fo the match so the recorder doesn't do ALL the work. Tell me what you think about this idea.

I geuss your too new to really know how an RP works.

Example of Bad RP

"I send my 40 M1's into your nation and they fire at your 100 T-90's. All your T-90's explode and their crews are BBQ'd and sold to small children!!!"

Example of Good RP

"40 of my M1 Abra tanks begin moving acrros your border, they spot a group of arround 100 tanks which they can not quite recognise. the commander gives the order to fire and shells begin saoring towards the tank regiment!"

Example of Bad RP Response

"My 100 T-90 tanks move at super light speed and dodge all your shells, then they turn and fire back at you and you all die!!!"

Example of Good RP Response

"As the group of T-90's see the incoming shell fire, they begin moving away, yet still returning fire to the attacking M1's. BY the time the smoke has cleared, 17 T-90's have exploded and a further 20 are suffering from sever damage"

See the difference. You never say what your opponent looses in a battle, thats down to him/her.

I think your idea on the sctors is gonna make this thing even more complex and harder to run with, just leave it to peoples RP skils, if they have all theri army attacking screw them if you destroy it and then walk into their capitol armed with pointy sticks.

anywayz... back to war.

as my 100 000 organized militia soldiers, start recieving fire, they call for air support and just as soon, they see 5 F/A-18's heading towards the incoming enemy. They start dropping guided percision bombs. No armoured back up is seen to be around, so the commander decides to stay and put up a fight. When the dust of all the artillery fire clears, it turns out that 90 militia soldeirs had been killed.

The 300,000 Blac cats split into their divisions as they saw 5 jets headed overhead, then dropping bombs down. Most went for them as moving targets and so obviosly many missed, but 130 Black cats were killed and 2 T90 tanks were put out of service.

Without taking notice the Black cats retook their cover behind the large T-90's and began mving forward, although now in seperate groups of 100 men.
The tanks continued firing at the militia soldiers as they moved, and also fired heavy duty smoke grenades into the outpost and its urrounding areas.
In the returned fire no tanks were put out of service but a further 10 Black cats were killed as they split away from the tank cover.

The remaining 299,860 Black cats spread themsleves to surround the outpost and began moving into secure positions-firing constantly at the enemy Militia.

The 100 M1 Abrams and 98 T-90's also dug themselves in to an extent, sand bags covered their fronts as they fired high explosive shells into the vast numbers of Militia soldiers.

As this attack continued 12 MIg-29 aircraft approached the base and dropped two prescission guided bombs into the militia each.

OOC-I think you should surrender this outpost-over 300,000 Black cat troops and over 200 tanks allied together attacking under 100,000 poorly trained Militia. Just my opinion.

IC-
As the gunfire continues at the outpost the number involved is growing as a further 100 T-90 tanks arrive to back the lines and 30 Mig-29 jets are positioned within 2 minutes range of the outpost.

i am having trouble signing in on this forum, i have asked Intellia to make some forums on the warfare website. We shall continue this there.

oh yes and I voted for no, this gme is not better with RP, because i'm a VERY bad RPer and even if i have a kickass army, which i do at the moment, I can't even use it in a proper way in a RP. So I think that RPing is fine but with little help from Intellia. I sortta of like Trinton's way, because the only reason i signed up on this thing is because i thought i wouldn't have to RP, lol. So I think if you want to RP, just TG Intellia in a way that you would post your message here. And then Intellia should make the thing that he was doing on the warfare page and turn this into a news report.

Example: My soldiers are taking cover in the thick forests crossing the borders, while my tanks are charging the command post head on to cover for the hiding soldiers.

Warfare News: Pablicosta has the Spotiana post surrounded my mass tanks, all other units at or near the post are unknown (foreshadowing). Pablicosta has lost blah, blah and Spotiana has lost some of it's poorly trained soldiers in numbers of blah, blah.

The commander finnally gives the order for his troops to march in the enemy post, while the tanks fire rapidly at the post, trying their best to consume the organized infantry of Spotiana in the well dug trenches. 32 infantry die from incoming enemy fire but make a strong aggresive charge on the enemy post which seems badly bombarded and the trenches are starting to fall apart. The commander calls for air support and in an instant a squadron of 4 Mig-29's is seen flying above and in a short moment the enemy post lightens up with explosion everywhere. 180 T-72's continues their bombardment as the planes above dissapear after the havok raised on the enemy post. The enemy is roaring in flames.

**********Defence against Trinton Attack**************************
Spotian organized soldeirs wait silently as they hear bomb shells exploding all around them. 200 000 organized militia soldeirs wait for the devastating bombardment to be over. Not far behind them, wait 900 M1 Abram tanks camouflaged in the desert. An airfireld, not far from them, holds up to 94 F/A-18's. The commanding officer orders his militia to stay ducked in the trenches and wait for further air and ground support. The incoming infantry starts to get destroyed as they race towards the post, from buried land mines. The M1 Abrams start heading towards the blazing post in a hurry, eager to defend it from the enemy. As they race toward the post they fire there turrets in the air, barraging the enemy while moving. The commander desperate for faster air support, calls in 90 of the 94 F/A-18. The sky turns dark and the enemy is faced with huge bombardment.

Just to let evryone know, I don't mind what way you select to play this system, so I voted for not bothered.
