The New Edomite Socialist Republic has just been formed out of the former New Edomite republic, which was horribly corrupt.
Our people suffer from:
1. Adult illiteracy (over 50%)
2. Lack of potable water in a number of areas.
3. Lack of infrastructure: properly trained doctors, teachers and civil servants of many types.
4. A poor economy. Formerly, our main export was natural gas, but the countries that were buying it have cut us off because we have a socialist government now.
5. Guerilla warfare. In the months since our new political freedom we have been harassed by guerillas we believe to be stirred up by the former Christian Democratic Government.
We are looking for recognition internationally by responsible governments willing to help us.
