Founded originally as Deep Space by Freebodnik IV as a safe haven for free and equal societies, and to pave the way for freedom elsewhere in the universe, the region of the Milky Way Galaxy has fallen on hard times, and we find that many of our comrades have disappeared into the blackness of space, never to be seen again. Now the Milky Way Galaxy must turn to the world.
We extend our hands in eternal comradeship and good-will to all, and humbly invite all nations of any environmentalist, socialist, democratic, liberal, libertarian, or freedom-loving persuasion to join us in the glories of deep space!
We have spent a very long time engaged in the work of terraforming the planet Gloria Candida, in a nearby solar system. This planet now serves as the home-world of the Milky Way Galaxy region, and is a free place for all who join. All we ask is that you use the resources of our system sparingly, and treat others as you would want others to treat you - with decency and respect.
Citizenship in the Milky Way Galaxy grants the ability (should you be a UN member) for eligibility as delegate in our democratic rotation-system, which guarantees a two-week term [RL] for every UN member in the region. It also guarantees the ability to participate in the voting and politics of the Milky Way Galaxy.
