Right after the massive 23th General Election Campign in Omzian Democratic Republic, it is a milestone: The Omian Socialist Party is out of power, after a long 20 years in Presidental Power.
In a suprising result, out of the 460 seats in the Parliament, the Omzian New Democratic Party gained 223 seats --- a strong boost from its previous number of 59. The Omzian Progressive-Conserative Party gained 130 seats --- a boost from 82. However, the Omzian Socialist Party, only gained 89 Seats --- a decrease from a whopping 288 seats in the last election. Most citizens from the Osaria, Honjaksgrad, and other major cities voted for either the New Democratic Party, or the Progressive-Conserative Party. Most urbanites disfavored the Socialists due to a lack of improvements of their lives, the Omzian economy, and the Omzian Republic's international reputation in the past years.
The leader of the New Democratic Party, Gagarin Vansare, sworn into the Military Authority today. He will be officially declared as President of Omzian Democratic Republic within this week. President-Elect Vansare has promised more progressive policies in social welfare, education, healthcare, and crime. President-Elect Vansare also promised the resolution of the everlasting territory dispute with the Oansak Minority in the Northern Mountains --- something that is not resolved in the past 20 years. He also promised more involvement in the International Stage i nthe name of Omzian Democratic Republic.
The cabinet, composed of various ministers and military leaders, has yet to be appointed by the President-Elect. The High Administrative Council will be a "share of power" between the 3 majority parties.
