Today in Genya, General Kit Ph'at launched a military coup, overthrowing democratically elected liberal President Henry K'hat.

Ph'at has pledged to re-arm Genya, after K'hat cut military spending and declared Genya a pacifist state. In fact, Ph'at has renamed the Republic of Genya to the Armed Republic of Genya.

Ph'at has long been an opponent of the Christian Church, and now that he is in power, he may crack down on the church in the near future.

To see a nation so close to true harmony, snatched back, is a true tragedy. Buri would like to humbly request that the General abdicate, and return the elected ruler to their position. If they will not, then please at least consider returning to his policies, a future of military force will only lead to more suffering for your people, and those of your neighbors.

While your claimed "strength" is a fast way to claim a position of leadership, it doesnt grant the skills the position requires, to attempt to rule by power alone is madness. Buri would also like to aid in any way needed to help the people of Genya, though we will not take any military actions at this time.

At this time, we are limiting our involvement to aerial strikes only; our Tu-160 Strategic Bombers are being prepared; likewise, our Nimitz' aircraft complement is being fueled for immediate duty.

There shall be no negotiations with us; you do not repreent the people, and therefore serve no purpose in the government, save to drag your country into war. Step down and restore the people's representatives immediately.

Elements of the Operation Oberon force are now holding their position 500 kilometres off the Genya coast. They will wait there during the negotiations, military action is suspended until futhur notice.

These will be sent to patrol the waters near Genya, but no conflict shall be made until completely nessecairy.

Spauldmerica, I would like to limit the amount of military forces in the area of Genya and attempt to defuse the situation through peaceful means. Should the negotiations fail, Aequatian forces are prepared to invade Genya to oust General Ph'at.

The meeting.

It is sad to see that such a peaceful nation has become hostile. But, it is your nation and we will not interfere. We too had a "revolution" of sorts. Three days ago, the parlament voted to disolve our former government and it became a quasi-communist country.
