Xanthal to add rail guns, upgrade energy weapons on warships
Realizing that energy weapons, while powerful and efficient, are an essential armament of Xanthalian warships; the Imperial Armada also realizes the need to add light physical weaponry to it's arsenal. Therefore, over the next decade all Xanthalian warships will be fitted with 100mm caliber rail guns.
Also realizing that Xanthal's current phaser technology is outdated by several decades and in need of upgrade, the Imperial Armada will replace current phaser weaponry aboard all starships with modern Multiphasic Disrupters within the next twenty years.
Bump so nobody's taken by surprise when this shows up in RP.
I hope that our space neighbor dosn't plan of using these weapons to take over Trasian Space i hope, that would be a violation of the Treaty. by using advanced weapons like that in Trasian space or near it.

IC: Our treaty bans only subspace weaponry, and only in border regions. This is not subspace weaponry and will be used throughout our territory. Also, why would we want to take over your space? We don't need the territory, and a war would hurt us both.

We have already allowed one of your military ships, a cloaked one no less, into the neutral zone without firing on you. We have shown zero aggression toward you in our many years as neighboring civilizations, yet you treat us as potential enemies. We are tired of this treatment. You want a neutral zone, you've got one. The next ship of yours we find in it will be destroyed with extreme prejudice. Good day.
