CGN Report Logo flashes on the screen.

Bram Stroker: "Hello, I'm Bram Stroker. Tonight, our camara's broadcast to the world the first ever trial of elves sanctioned by Lady Siri, out of Menelmacar. For those of you that don't keep up with current events, this is the story so far:

(OOC:http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=83656&highlight=)

And now, to the trial...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The courtroom was crowded. Filled may have been a better word. Bursting even better.
In a room that was to hold 300 people, five hundred had crammed in including all the camera equipment that the news'ies used.
Conversation buzzed low around the room, overlaid by the sound of the air conditioning system working overtime to keep the room's air from stagnating.
All was in place except for the accused. Those who had no evidence, or not enough evidence set against them were set free. Those that remained, all 100,000 of them, where sitting in various holding cells around CG.
Their images would be beamed into the court room as so they could see the trail.
OOC: Finally the trial starts!! If you need help with any of the judges... you could always call on Esamopia... somehow though I think that you'd want to keep all the glory of the trial though, and I do not blame you. Just make it fair (UltraOOC: I look forward to seeing some of those elves executed!!)
Preliminary judgements are made for and against the majority of elves on trial.
Judgements roll out quickly via the panel of judges (4 elves, 7 humans) as they process case after case.
These cases are, of course, the smaller ones. Simple cases of fraud, robbery, blackmail, assault and the like take little of the panel's energy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

(Snippits from these cases)

"... and before I knew it, I was out of a job, a house and my children's future. All because I mentioned to my boss... my elven boss, that the conditions of the factory were unsanitary."

"And who was your boss?"

*The man points to one of the projected faces with the name beside it.*

"Him."

------------

"It was terrible. The police wouldn't even do anything about it. My brother was beaten up and left for dead and the fu*king elven police wouldn't even lift a hand because he had previously spoken out against the government..."

-----------

(OOC: More to come)

Of course, there will be considerable pressure on CG to keep these trials fair and balanced, and to keep any punishments for guilty verdicts proportional to the crime. In the two examples cited above, you're talking... negligence, maybe reckless endangerment at the very worst. Hardly capital crimes. Assuming they were even guilty.

"They laughed... those fu*king bastards raped her and LAUGHED while they did it."

He's eyes leaked tears as he related his story and for a moment, he couldn't speak as the grief overwhelmed him. Finally, that moment end and he started again.

"I took her to the hospital after that but... the docters said that the internal bleeding couldn't be stopped... and she..."

The man trails off, leaving no question about what happened her.

"What did you do after that sir?" the Prosecutor asked in a gentle voice, while holding out a handkerchif.

"I went to the police. I had seen the attackers and I thought that surely they couldn't just IGNORE it. But when that elven bastard of a sargeant found out that they were other elves he shut the case down. Told me that 'elves would never lower themselves to have sex with a hu-man woman'. The fu*ker wouldn't even call these bastards in. I don't under stand why they had to pick her... she... she was only 16."

Serendis: Milady, is it just me, or do you have trouble believing that just about every one of these Elves was an asshole?

Siri: Indeed. While I doubt just as strongly that all the allegations are false, it does smell an awful lot like there's at least some railroading going on here. Feel free to conduct your own investigation if you wish. But try to be gentle questioning people in NH. They came out of this Interdiction thing as surprisingly good sports, and I want to hold onto that momentum.

OOC: I've shown three snippits of the trial. that doesn't mean I'm saying that that is all there is to it. Be patient. And if you want to conduct spying in my country TG me about it and we can add it to this thread, lol.

Edit: you've gotta remember that out of the about 500,000 elves he sent me, only 100,000 are going on trial

Edit 2: IC: The government of C-G would be glad to host any representative of the Esamopia government during this trial. Indeed, we would be glad to host any government's rep during the course of this trial.

Snippits from the Trial

From the Defence

"... so you say that he was drunk?"

"Yes. I guess it was about 9:20 when this human, drunk out of his skull approached me, ranting about how he would kill the next elf he saw."

"I see. And what did you do?"

"I tried to take a step back, tried to calm the man down. I really had no interest in fighting a human that day."

"How did he react to your efforts?"

"He rebuffed them, yelling insults about my bloodline."

"And your reaction?"

"Well, I tried to walk away but he grabbed my arm."

"What happened then?"

"The guy took a swing at me. It missed of course and I yanked my arm out of his hand and tried to walk away again. As I turned my back on him, I saw a knife come out..."

OOC: ok, well, time wise, this isn't really working out. I've suddenly been baried under a wave of Essays/Midterms to do, so, I'm gonna shorten the un-importent trials.

IC:

From the Office of the Prime Minister:

Out of the 100,000 being tried, 63,604 are found guilty and are sentenced to everything from 1-2 years in prison, to exile to Life Imprisonment. The rest will be re-componsated for their stay in C-G jails and sent to wherever they want to go.

There are, however, a core group of elves that have not been tried yet. These 10 elves have been charged with the most serious crimes. Their Trial has just started...

OOC: I tg'ed NH for what charges he wants to bring against the horrific 10. lol.

"Little girl, tell us about what you learnt in school. What did the Elves say about humans?"

Girl:"The told us humans were bad Elves in our past lives and that whay we were born humans and that we have to follow the orders of all Elves. They also told us no human is allowed to say NO to an elf".

Prosecution: I would like to submit this text book as evidence...
05-11-2003, 05:22
Prosecution:"Could you point out the leader of the Elves, for the record?"

Witness:"Thats him, the Speaker of the Stars."

"And what did he do to you?"

Witness:"He ordered my left eye to be ripped out when he noticed I could read as I was cleaning the palace."
05-11-2003, 05:37
Witness:"I was got married but that elf said he had first rights".

"Before we begin this trial, I ask if any of you have anything you'd like to say to the courts." the judge asked, gesturing with his head towards the gaggle of Elves.

The center one stood. "I am Elanias F'nor nos Fëanor. The arrogence you Mon-Keigh have show in the detaining of my person is increadible. I do not recognize the authority of these courts. I do not recognize the authority of this legal system and I do not recognize the authority of the puny lands of Canada-Germany over me.

Not a soul breathed in the court for 3 seconds in eternity, and then a low rumble broke out.

The Judge rapped his gravel twice to restore order to the crowd.

"I see. Well then Miss Elanias, I shall tell you something right now. It does not matter whether or not your recognize the authority of this court, as the court recognizes it's authority over you. As well, you will cease using the term "Mon-Keigh" as many in this room find it offensive."

"And if I don't?" Elanias challanged, standing proudly

"Then I would have no recourse but to have you gagged to prevent further such racial slurs," the judge rebutted quietly.

Elan's hands thumped on to the table in front of her, "You wouldn't dare." she hissed into the microphone.

"Perhaps not, but notice how the cubical you and your 9 fellows are in has plexglass walls that rise up to the celling. If you continue to make a fuss, I shall order the plexiglass to be darkened and the microphone shut off so we may not have to suffer through your indignation. You, of course, will still be able to watch the trial via the TV installed in the wall to your right."

Elanias' face froze mid smirk, and she finally took a good look at the courtroom surrounding her, and for the first time, noticed the lack of polished wood, or anything that resembled a traditional courtroom.

Instead, what greated her gaze was a room made out of bullet proof glass and steel, composite materials with only cushions to soften the chairs and benches that people were currently sitting on.

Indeed, the judge himself was sitting behind plates of bulletproof glass that rose half way to the celling, as was the jury to Elan's right side. As well, the spectators behind her also sat behind a wall of plexiglass and metal.

Infact, oddly enough, the only ones that were not somehow protected by metal or bulletproof glass were the lawyers, sitting at their respective tables.

Her mouth shut with a clack of the teeth and she sat down knowing that she couldn't win this battle. She also knew that it was going to be one of many to be faught.

The judge could almost be seen smiling.

"In that case, lets start with the opening statements..."

Sirithil blinked delicately as she watched the trial highlights. "Say what?"

Maglor was sitting next to her on the couch. "Well, that's certainly a new wrinkle."

Siri nodded. "Indeed. I don't know any Menelmacari that uses the term 'Mon-Keigh', it's an Eldannari term... and who is this Elanias, anyway? Or this 'F'nor'?" She looked at Maglor meaningfully. "Did you have any kids while you were in exile? Because I know Celebrimbor hasn't had any..."

Maglor shook his head. "No, mother... not that I know of. I was trying to stay hidden, remember? Why not ask Serendis to have MISSION look into it?"

Siri pondered this. "I suppose that's the only way. Aside from going to Canada-Germany myself and just asking the woman."

Maglor looked thoughtful, and smiled at his mother.

Siri shook her head. "Ohhhh, no. I am not going to--"

He interrupted her, speaking gently. "She thinks you're her kinswoman. She'll likely open up to you more than to a MISSION agent."

"True... oh, all right... what could it harm? It'll have to be secret, though. The last thing I need is people thinking this bigot is actually a member of our House."

"Are you sure that person is in no way related to Lady Sirithil?", asked the ShadowPrince, "Fëanor had a lot of children".

"And all of them died in the first age, with the exception of Maglor of course. Even the great Maedrhos fell after the War of Wrath. Their composition was that of 6 humans of varing races and sex, and 6 elves. After all, it was said that this was to be a jury of the accused peers.

Jack ran a hand through her short honey brown hair.

"Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury. As you know, you have been called here to decide the fate of 10 people. If you've watched the news, you know what they have been accused of. You know what they did. Defence Attorney Mr. Betty Paine had led an interesting life.

In a country were name changes only happened very rarely and children were often named during pregnancy so that the implanted ID chip could be manufactured and programmed in time for birth, a mistaken gender test had far reaching repercussions.

His parents had thought him to be a girl and so his ID chip was programmed for the name Betty.

Indeed, such a mistake had impacted his childhood like a hammer striking a skull, resulting in all kinds of metaphorical blood and little bits of brain matter.

By the time Betty has reached highschool, though, he had moved with his parents 3 times and had finally succseded in finding a school that did not require the teacher to say the full name of the student.

In Pinetree Secondary school, he was known to the student body as "Be Pain". This was the result of a fight during the first day at school. A 10th grader had came up to him and demaded to scan his ID chip to know his name. When Betty refused, the 10th grader had started a fight. Suffice to say, "Be Pain", or just "Pain" was soon found to be a suitible nickname for him.

That nickname has lasted with him right up to Law school, where it was replaced with just "Bee". After all, "Pain" was hardly a suitible name for a respectible Lawyer.

However, in trials like this, where the stakes were high, Bee, or Betty, became Pain again, using his sharp mind to dish it out to all commers.

As Betty stood infront of the jury box, hands clasped behind his back in a position akin to a soldier standing at ease, the jury knew none of this.

As he started with his opening statment, the jury knew that they were in for a long ride.

"Thank you your honour." Jack replied.

"State your name for the court, please ma'am."

"My name is Stephane Baum." she answered in a child's pitch but with a bitter and knowing edge to her voice.

"Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth on pain of law and whatever god you believe in?"

"I do."

"Be seated."

"Thank you."

The shariff walked back into his position and Jack Black approached the witness.

"How are you feeling today Ms Baum?"

"My back hurts." the child replied.

"I see. I hear that it's quite normal for that to happen during late pregnancy, though I've never experianced it myself."

"That's what the docters tell me. Well, that's what they tell me NOW anyways. Docters who treated humans were in short supply during the Elven reign."

"I see. How awful. Tell me more about your experiances under the rule of the elves."

And so, during the next 3 hours, the 13 year old Human child did.

Stephane Baum had been one of the masses of children whom when to elementary school, taught by Elven teachers, to learn to read, write and be repressed.

"They told us that we were scum barely deserving of the care that our Elven 'Beneficiaries' had put into our lives, and how we were lucky to get 7 years of education when many in most human led nations got none."

Baum started to relate stories and rumors that she had heard of 11-14 year old human girls being pulled out of the educational system because of their elven looks and forced to become sexual slaves to a variety of elves. These elves had a free hand with the human girls, alowed to do whatever they liked with them.

Betty jumped. "I object! The witness may not testify to anything that she has not seen herself."

"Are you going anywere with this Ms Black?" the judge asked.

"Oh yes, just a few more questions and the connection should be clear."

There were no other questions asked, however, as immideately after those words were spoken, the muffled Ka-thunk of a 40mm granade launcher, followed by the courtroom door being blown in, put a temporary stop to any speach.

After that 3 second lull, the panic began.

As fully suited figures poured into the room, the security detail placed in many groups around the courtroom had their weapons out and started to fire.

"Sir!"

"What?"

"The trial in Canada-Germany! Attacked!"

"Attacked???? By whom?"

"Terrorists. All we know."

"We do have an airbase near Canada?"

"And one near Germany, too. Hopefully they're holding the trial in one of those places."

"Send five helicopters loaded with 10 members of the Timothean Guard each to each region. And call CanadaGermany, ask them where the trial is, tell them that help is on the way, give description of terrorists, etc."

"Yes Sir!"

OOC: The Timothean Guard is the highly trained special forces of Aquilla. A unit of 300 of them held off an attack of 5,000 for 24 hours once. Only two of the Guard in that area survived until reinforcements arrived.

OOC: Wow, your people are fast, lol, :P

IC:

Panic ripped through the courtroom as the suited figures fired their weapons, spraying the crowd with hot metal and sending scortching brass to the ground.

Security, armed and armored though they were, were caught semi-flat footed. In the 3 or so seconds that they took to react, their numbers dwindled from 15 to 11 and the Black Suited Figures kept on pouring in....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hong Gui Tan, son of Guardian Protector Hong Gui Tan and Lt in the Armed Forces, infantry, had been taking a well deserved weekend in the City.
The only reason he had been at the trial, however, was to see the face of the leader that had managed to kill some of the men and women under his command.
1-C-GAR 1-Squad had been aboard the C-SOTL Tri-5 when this Elf had organised her break out effort. Sergeant Andrew Tang had been shot several times in the back while herding several non-resisting elves away from the fighting. Sergeant Amber Saundry had been wounded trying to drag his body away.
Lt. Tan, not surprisingly, wanted to see the Elf bitch Hang. Legally, of course, if she was guilty.
When the the bastards had busted down the door, however, Tan was caught with only his Sidearm, a Glock 20. This did not bother him, however, because he had something else on his side.
"Inbound! We have Inbound sir!"
"TacSit?"
"Helo's, Military, Markings: Aquilla."
"Broadcast?"
"Reciving now."
The buzzing noise of air rushing past a microphone filled the darkened room.
"We are of the Timothean Guard, inbound from Aquilla, we have heard of your problems regarding Terrorist actions in a recent trial of yours. Do you need assistance?"
The man in charge smiled a bit. "If there's anything left to do by the time you get there, by all means, help out. I'm sending you the Co-ord's now."
IC:
If your eyes had been on him, he would have been seen to blur into the air, leaving only flashes of colour as Lt Tan, one of the Naturally Enabled, Stepped Up.
~~~~~~~

As this happened, 2 things became appearent. If no help came, the remaining guards would soon be overwhelmed and the terrorists were NOT human.

The guards were some of the best in their league, though not up to C-GAR standards, but found almost no time to shoot as they sought to find some cover to avoid the seemingly solid sheet of lead that was washing over them.

When the Lt connected to the closest invader, one more fact became appearent. The terrorists were elves.

~~~~~~~
Tan fired his Glock as he ran the length of the courtroom, moving with speeds very few outside of the Enabled could match. One Terrerist went down under his directed fire before he entered Physical Combat range.
He dove at the bodies closest to the door, hoping to stem the flow of black Clad bodies. With his Glock still in one hand, a Chinese Ring dagger in the other, the first body he met fell to the floor clutching it's neck.
Immediately, he was set apon by the other's surrounding him and as he dodged their blows, he realised that they were moving almost as fast as he was.
"Great," he swore under his breath, "elves."
Oh well, I guess I'll just have to try HARDER, he thought to himself before the elves saw him blur again.
~~~~~~~~~~

Sonny Bonder was not having a good day.

Actually, he had been having a great day. Michelle had said yes to his proposal and his boss informed him that he would be getting a raise.

Now, of course, he was trapped behind a Metal composite divider that was suppose to seperate the crowd from the part of the court were all the action took place.

Instead, it seperated the main body of guards still alive from the asshole's that were trying to kill them.

He swore as another bullet smashed into the divider right in front of him before deflecting off to who knows where.

When the fire against them slackened alittle, Sonny raised his head alittle to look through whatever bullet proof glass was left. His breath caught in his throut as the sight of the Terrorists battling with a blurred body imprinted apon his mind.

The blur ripped through the bodies near the door, exposing guts to fresh air and introducing bullets to internal organs. Sonny could barely see the body in action, arms and legs being only slight flashes of percived movement.

"Jesus..."

And then he ordered the rest of the guards to stop acting like children, and attack.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
There had been only 30 of them in the start. Now there were 23. Tan narrowly avoided a low stroke of a curved blade designed to make his guts meet the floor. Twisting past the arm that sent it, he stabbed elf between it's ribs before slicing accross his chest and clipping his knife off the sternim. The knife withdrew and Tan ducked, a bullet grazing the top of his head before impacting on the bleeding elf's head, splashing his brains on to the floor and sending the body tumbling back.
Tan kicked out behind him with his left leg, sending the shooter shuffling back, before shifting his weight and sending his knife cutting across the shooter's face.
The Elf blocked with the still hot barrel of his gun before having his ankle blown into meat by Tan's Glock. A reversed movement later, the shooter had been opened from his groin to his jaw.
Finally clicking empty, the Glock found it's way back into it's holster and another ring knife apeared.
~~~~~~~~~~~

Sonny threw himself flat on to a bench as a mag's worth of bullets roared over his head. His Mp-7 well in hand, he dived into the asle in front of 3 intruders and fired full auto. Two got away, one lost his head.

Of course, Sonny didn't have to worry about the other two on account of the new hole in his chest as a wildly fired bullet found enough force to penitrate his body armor.

~~~~~~~~~~~
There were 4 guards left and 11 intruders. As another elf breathed out it's death sigh from multiple holes in it's body, the count became 10 elves.
~~~~~~~~~~~

He was bleeding, not a lot out of any one particular wound, but many trickles can make a river.

Spinning past yet another attempt to impale him, Tan rounded on the elf's back and planted both knives, between the ribs, into the lungs. They slid in, slid out, then, the left one, was applyed to the back of the Elf's neck, ripping through the spine.

Only 9 to go.

~~~~~~~~~~~
Michelle had seen Sonny go down and not rise again. It had filled her with a terrible pain when the thought that he would never get a chance to smile again, or crack another joke that may or may not have been funny (he was weird like that, some of his jokes had been hilarious, and some, so awful that you wanted to cry).
But like him, she had a job to do, and with the three other survivers around her, alternetly ducked or firing their weapons, she was filled with a determination to do it.
This, of course, was exactly when she looked over to the Prisoner's Box and saw that the Lady elf was no longer presant.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

At this same moment, Lt Tan realised that the elf he was fighting was the only elf left in the room except for the prisoners huddled in their box.

So, for interogation purposes, the last elf was captured alive.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Elanias F'nor nos Fëanor, self proclaimed Lady of the F'nor nos Fëanor line ran along with the 4 other surviving members of the Raid.
Her car awaited.
The dropship sent a quick message to the docking control center as it arrived, saying in short that they would be skipping the airport and land on the roof.
The pilot put the shuttle down, corkscrewing down as he landed. The soldiers could hear the gun fire down below. Soon, six Morchant Tirith troopers, in full body armor, hit the roof. Going into a low crouch, they trained their weapons. Theallas looked around, noticing the group of figures running away from the court house, By the way they run, they are elves, damn it, their going to get away.
Theallas paused for a split second, and then ran to thee edge of the building, jumping down, he ran to follow the escapees. THeallas felt the strain he was putting on his legs, although, still withing his body's tollerance, he deffinatly would feel it in the morning.
As he ran, Theallas detached the smalll leather band that held his katana in place, he then took out his pistol and unstraped the safty. Raising the energy pistol, he trained it on a spot infront of the elves. Shouting in a clear Quenya, "Stop! Supposed Kin Of Feanor, Stop Where You Are!"
Tan blured out of the Courtroom. With one quick scan, he identified the seperate forces.
Terroriest Elves, Aquilla forces and General Theallas of Thelas, all of them pointing guns at each other.
"shit."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"HOLD YOUR FIRE!" He yelled out, blurring past the Aquillians and then the General.

Then, to the fleeing elves, he ordered them to surrender.

One of the elves turned around and glared right at Tan.

"No surrender, only Death."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The car, which the elves had been meters away from, blew in a horrifying pyrotechnic display, killing the elves almost instantly, and tossing Lt Tan thirty-Seven meters back before he hit a wall with a sickening thump, knocking him out.
(OOC: I'd say that the General was about 20 meters farther back than Tan was, and the Aquilla forces were 10m behind the General.
He quickly woke up when he learned what he was being called for.
The trial in Canada-Germany had apparently turned into a bloodbath, and there were forign forces there to boot.
He swore under his breath.
"I think that it is time that I paid a state visit to Canada-Germany, to see this action in person."
That it would be around eight hours to get there, with preparations accounted for galled him little. What worried him slightly more was getting in contact with the Canada-German government, which would likely be involved in dealing with this himself.
Still, he would send a request to his northern neighbor now, and check when he neared the border, if he could not immediately get in touch with the Canada-German government.
OOC: heh, do you get a sense that I'm trying to go somewhere with this? A Mysterious Elf that claims Kinship with (arguably) the most powerful of elves? A Group of well armed elves avoiding all security placed around the court house? Death rather than Surrender? It's almost like Elenias was part of some elaborate scheme by unknown decendents of the Feanor line who have been corrupted by Melkor (outside of NS, not nessasairly meaning MU). And, of course, since she has killed herself instead of being caught, it's almost like she has a daughter somewhere ready to carry on her work.
but nah, that can't be it, can it? :lol:
IC:
Hong Gui Tan couldn't see clearly and for a second, he couldn't remember where he was. Infact, he couldn't feel his body, not his toes, his fingers, his arms, nothing.
Shadows kept dancing in his muddy vision (what he didn't know was that the majority of capilaries in his eyes had exploded from the pressure the Explosion had caused, this of course, caused his eyes to become a bloody mess), until one shadow grew more prominant.
Tan couldn't see him, but, even in his muddled confussion, his Enabled mind pegged the shadow as an Aquillan.
Shouting, some kind of shouting; but barely penitrating the stuffing in his ears (the explosion had also burst his ear drums. Even now, blood was leaking out of his ears.).
"S.r, ..e y.. al.i..t?"
Muted syllibles and dull echos. Tan forced his mind into consintraiting even more.
"Sir, a.e yo. a..ight?"
This time, he could understand. He tried to talk, but thought he could feel the air moving past his throat, he still could barely hear himself.
To the Aquillan, Tan's words came out in a shout. The Foriegn man could see the bloody mess of the Leutenant's eyes and the blood leaking out of the Sir's ears. What Tan didn't know, and what the Aquillan soldier could see clearly, was the odd angle Tan's right arm and left leg were in. That and the ivory white of jagged bone.
"I'm fine." Tan had said.
The wail of sirens had signified that the police had finally gotten there, and then another set of chopper blades. Two sets of calvery had arrived, in a stereotypically too late fashion. All the bad guy's where gone and the good guys had suffered.
Granted, from first shot to last, it had only been about 8 minutes.
------------------
The Aquillan chopper was the fastest route to the hospital. Once the injured had been loaded up, the Thelesian General, somehow bording stiffly on his own power and Lt Tan being carried on by a stretcher, the choppers had been givin directions to the nearest hospital capible of Helo landing.
Aquillan Lt. Colonel Jrrrbglmrpdllldgru:
"I seem to recall an elf left inside for questioning. Shall we -
He is cut off by the sound of chopper blades.
It is the Aquillan chopper used to transport the wounded. The pilot has a grave look on his face.
"Privates Grnstsbs and Yrrrtdlmbgsrpti are all right; or as close to it as anyone is; Grnstsbs lost an arm. Private Brnrnstrbskkklr is still in a coma."
"And the Lt....?
The pilot's face contorted.
"Lt. Mrnrnskskrllldbbdbduuuulskbrrknn did not make it."
Shock spread over Lt. Colonel Jrrrbglmrpdllldgru's face. He remembered just this morning, eating breakfast and telling jokes with the Lt. The pilot was speaking again.
"I'm sorry, sir."
"Not your fault." The words were forced out of his mouth.
"And are you all right?"
"I'm an emotional wreck and muddy and I probably cut myself in 29 places and I think I twisted my wrist, of course I'm all right! Nothing that can't be taken care of with first aid and a psychiatrist."
He realized that his pocket radio had been knocked on when he fell. He recognized the voice of Freddy Longbottom, famed Aquillan talk show host.
"...life's never been better! In fact, just yesterday I bought my 4th BMW!..."
Lt. Colonel Jrrrbglmrpdllldgru kicked the radio and jammed his toe. It only worsened his mood. He glanced over his remaining men for the first time since the wounded were rushed off. The ones that had been in the choppers had been knocked around a bit; the worst off had two bruises. The others, like him, could easily be taken care of with a first aid kit that was in one of the choppers. He instructed his men to clean themselves up.
"And you, Lt. Colonel?"
The pilot again.
"I need some time alone."
And with that, he strode over to behind the courthouse.
Aquillan Lt. Colonel Jrrrbglmrpdllldgru:
"I seem to recall an elf left inside for questioning. Shall we -
He is cut off by the sound of chopper blades.
It is the Aquillan chopper used to transport the wounded. The pilot has a grave look on his face.
"Privates Grnstsbs and Yrrrtdlmbgsrpti are all right; or as close to it as anyone is; Grnstsbs lost an arm. Private Brnrnstrbskkklr is still in a coma."
"And the Lt....?
The pilot's face contorted.
"Lt. Mrnrnskskrllldbbdbduuuulskbrrknn did not make it."
Shock spread over Lt. Colonel Jrrrbglmrpdllldgru's face. He remembered just this morning, eating breakfast and telling jokes with the Lt. The pilot was speaking again.
"I'm sorry, sir."
"Not your fault." The words were forced out of his mouth.
"And are you all right?"
"I'm an emotional wreck and muddy and I probably cut myself in 29 places and I think I twisted my wrist, of course I'm all right! Nothing that can't be taken care of with first aid and a psychiatrist."
He realized that his pocket radio had been knocked on when he fell. He recognized the voice of Freddy Longbottom, famed Aquillan talk show host.
"...life's never been better! In fact, just yesterday I bought my 4th BMW!..."
Lt. Colonel Jrrrbglmrpdllldgru kicked the radio and jammed his toe. It only worsened his mood. He glanced over his remaining men for the first time since the wounded were rushed off. The ones that had been in the choppers had been knocked around a bit; the worst off had two bruises. The others, like him, could easily be taken care of with a first aid kit that was in one of the choppers. He instructed his men to clean themselves up.
"And you, Lt. Colonel?"
The pilot again.
"I need some time alone."
And with that, he strode over to behind the courthouse.
Michelle looked over to where a Aquillan solder, a Lt. Colonel by the looks of his insignia's, was walking towards her. She, with the remaining Courtroom guards and many police, were standing guard over the one Elven terrorist still alive. Not by much, but still alive.
"Sir." she said, saluting at him.
Why? We were standing next to each other. We were the same distance from the car. We were both in our prime of life. Yet he died, and I lived. Why?
It isn't any use. Suicide?
No, suicide is dishonourable. but this really stinks, not being able to go kill fifty elves in revenge
Having been trained to know what kind of mood a prisoner was in just by how they moved, and how they looked, Michelle knew almost immedietly that there was something wrong.
The fact that, inside, she was also raging and crying against the death of Sonny, who had died in front of her on the day that he had asked her to marry him, also enabled her to see fellow grievers clearly.
So, Michelle stepped away from the formation and walked up to the approching officer and stood there blocking his way. She saluted him again, and asked "Are you alright sir?"
31-12-2003, 23:53
At the hospital, Theallas had just sat down, and kindly refused medical aid, saying "I can heal this myself, take care of those people" As he pointed theother survivors. Once left alone, Theallas closed his eyes, a second later, his magic swirled around him, quickly healing the wounds across his body. A minute later, he stood, walking over to a nurse, "Exuse me, who was that agent who was badly wounded? What is his condition?"
The nurse looks confused for a second before it clicks in.
"Oh, you mean Leutenient Tan. He's Regular infantry. His condition is..."
She looks at his rank and takes a second to make a decision.
"He's not in the best of conditions. Two broken legs, a broken collar bone, 3 broken ribs, a dislocated shoulder; over 90% of the capillaries in his eyes burst from the pressure and his eardrums are tatters."
She looks down at her board again saying, "He's expected to pull through.", before looking up. "Did you want to see him sir?"
OOC: This is a bad time for president saQaaolchoura to land correct?
Perfect for an RP that is rapidly declining.
IC:
President saQaaolchoura was listening intently to what he was hearing on the Canada-German news network. He wasn't fluent in the official language of Canada-Germany, but he was conversant. Not to forget of course, that the Canada-German words were rather short, and drawled. Compared to Qaaolchouraav, anywhen. That was enough to make out that the situation in Canada-Germany had gone from bad to worse.
He wasn't quite clear on who the causualties were, but it was clear that the attack on the Canada-German courthouse had been retailiated against violently.
He looked up as the helicoptor landed in a helipad in Aery'l'k'areaio'l'pjha'the'qend'arred'nthii'j'ijji'r'aoed'eoua, a small town with remarable only for its helipad, and it's name the longest both in the province, and along the border with Canada-Germany. (How these northern hill people managed to finish saying the names of their towns before their dying day, especially with their drawled accents taken into account was beyond him. Of course most of Qaaolchoura had that problem, "Qaaolchoura" itself being a very truncated abbreviation of the High Qaaolchouraav term for "Land.")
He wasn't sure if he had actually gotten permission to enter Canada-Germany, so he had stopped to verify it, and to determinw the quickest mode of transportation to the Canada German capital, and from there to the courthouse.
Canada-Germany
04-01-2004, 07:17
"A Detatchment is already on it's way to pick you up. The best place to meet them would be 3km to the north of your current position, right along the border. The detatchment will meet you there."
10-01-2004, 06:57
The front man smiles and mumbles into his mic "Target found." before turning to the President.
Turning and raising his gun to the president.
"Die."
Red splats everywhere as the front man's head explodes and the rifle he was bringing up drops to the ground.
"DUCK AND COVER!" Comes a yell from the side as a LAV 3 that had just been moved into place 1500m distant opens fire with it's chaingun, stitching red over the bodies of the 9 remaining personnel and blowing large gaps in their HUMVEE's.
When the chaingun finally stops and the bodies are finally still, 3 squads worth of men raise out from the darkness, weapons at ready and pointing at the now cooling bodies; each of them wearing patches from 1-C-GAR, 2,3 or 4-Squad.
The leader of these men, a Master Warrent Officer, lowers his weapon first and checks one of the bodies.
"Fu*kin' Elves," he growls to himself before reporting in on his own mic. "Sir? We have the President. He doesn't seem to be harmed. There are 10 bodies in the enemy formation, and they appear to be elven." the MWO pauses, listening to the earpiece. "Yes sir, it does appear to be a trap, yes sir, we know what it means. I'll get the President in as soon as possible."
Finally, the MWO turns to the President himself. "Sorry about that Mr. President. We're having a few.. problems over here in C-G. If it's alright with you sir, we've been sent to bring you in."
The roar of engines makes itself known as 7 LAV III's reach the men.
"If you would sir?" the MWO askes while motioning towards the vehicals.
"Oh, by the way, for future referances, we don't use HUMVEE's to transport leaders of state, too flimsy."
OOC: After the country banned guns, we slowly began redifining them for military use. Currently the only guns banned to the military are cork guns although officialy guns are banned to everybody. Flamethrowers have always been legal, and so an assaination attempt was made on the president's life with a flamethrower at one point. It turned out to be broken, but the clothes that he wore that day were ruined as a few sparks (all that it could do) made tiny little burn marks in them.
IC: THe president had at this point relaxed to the point of becoming a bit tired again
"*yawn* Indeed. How long has this elven problem going on? Do you have any major seperatist/autonomous movements aside from the elves? Qaaolchoura being an ethnic patchwork, we have these problems, but my area in ethno-linguistic, cultural, and social-political factions has never stretched outside of Qaaolchoura and her sattelites."
"Our nation's elves are not seperatists," the MWO said ernistly, "indeed, most of the elves in C-G love living in C-G. The troubles started, however, with the incident when Lady Siri disappeared. Our intelligence reports that a team of Foriegn elves started to agitate against the government, spouting off claims of elven superiority and elven revenge. The president thought about it. Obviously it would mke Canada-Germany look bad if a foreign leader was killed on their soil, but it would make the elves look worse
It could also be expected that much of the the ultra-loyal-to President saQaaolchoura, Ticharealoftaqenaalordagit Party could be expected to form counter-terrorist units, and be discreetly backed by several provinces as well as the puppet Governments of several of Qaaolchoura's sattelite nations.
Surely, attacking a trial meant to enhance justice without warning, and shedding the blood of many innocent, is not honourable. And in Aquilla, we take honor seriously. "Wheither you felt it was justified or not, you killed a man in cold blood. You are under arrest. Guards, secure him."
Canada-Germany
21-01-2004, 02:26
OOC: Right now, the escort is entering Capital City limit's so it's about 40 minutes away from the parliment buildings and Stanley Ipkiss, or about 30 minutes away from the courthouse.
Qaaolchoura
21-01-2004, 03:12
OOC: 'K, can you mention when we get there.
IC: President saQaaolchoura had an odd felling in his stomache. He felt that there was something urgent happining in the courthouse.
"Could we possiby see the cpourthouse first, and go to the parliment buildings afterwards?"
21-01-2004, 04:53
MWO Jefferson nodded, decided that with 3 full squads of C-GAR, very little could happen to the president.
Thus, he calls up the driver and asks about the detour.
~30 minutes later~
"We're at the courthouse Mr. President. Was there anything in particular you wanted to see?"
Michelle snaps out sharply. "Who are you?"
A little alarmed at the sharp reply, the Major replied, "I am the second in command for this mission, and heard a shot from here, and went to see if my superior officer (SIR!) was all right."
Qaaolchoura
22-01-2004, 03:50
President saQaaolchoura was struck by a feeling of dread. He wrapped a lok of his hair about his finger in a very unpresidential manner.
"Might I see where this er- incidence went on? And may I take a look at the aftermath?"
He began chewing on the end of his hair.
He was quite relieved that there were no tabloid reporters around to make overmuch of his little mannerisms, which were spiraling out of hand.
"Right this way sir, " Jefferson directed out in front of him, towards the court house.
Of course, the loud "Who are you?" brought his attention to the rear of the courthouse and the answer brought him, the 3 squads, and thus, the President to the scene of what might be another incident.
--------
In responce to the Major's statement, Michelle had this to say, "Your Superior officer has shot a sentient being in cold blood. He is now under arrest."
23-01-2004, 04:04
"That is indeed a serious accusation sir. Is this true?"
"Now since when did you get the right to question me? I am your superiour officer, you know. Anyway, in response to your question, it was my right and duty."
The major's eyes widened.
"You mean..."
"This elf either killed or had a hand in killing my brother."
"In that case, what is Ms. ... um, um, um, whatever, so mad about?"
"Probably because she didn't get to kill him herself."
People were heard approaching. Helicopter pilot Mstrbtrymatgnplrzbdiiibflsctrtrtrttn decided to try to explain a little bit.
"Ma'am? I think I can explain what they are talking about."
OOC: I love giving my president exxagerations of my own faults. This next part will be so much fun.
IC: President saQaaolchoura had nearly half of the hair on his head wrapped between the fingers of his left hand. He reached into his windbreaker for the flamethrower that he usually kept there. D--n! He'd forgotten it today of all dyas in the chopper. Ahh well, perhaps it would have made him seem too much like a capitalist billionaire anywhen. He reached into his left pocket to see if he had his identification card. Maybe if he entered what ever the situation was as a neutral negotiator. . .
As he'd stopped briefly as he had reached for his ID card, and the Canada-German escort had stopped with him, while the Qaaolchouraav escort had slipped right off ahead like curious children. One of the problems of high civil liberties is a lack of discipline, not, that he would surrender them for any reason, anymore than any citizen of Qaaolchoura.
There seemed to be even more commotion when his advisers (who were also serving as an escort of sorts) entered the next room.
He turned towards the Canada-Germans, gestured them forward, and sprinted ahead.
He looked at the room, and notice three people, one perhaps Canada-German, two with Eagle-like features (rather aquline, wait wasn't there an eagle-nation involved in this? Aquiline, Aquillian, Aquillia! Aha!).
One of the Aquillians was talking to, or more like pleading or arguing, (not uite clear which) with the the Canada-German.
He turned to the other Aquillian, yanked him aside (in what he thought was a place where he would disture the other discussion not), and in what he hoped was a qute voice (his normal voice when exicited made people hundreds of yards away flinch he knew) asked:
"What is going on here now? To be more precise, What, where, when, why, who, and how?"
Canada-Germany
24-01-2004, 02:48
He had his C7A3 out, as did the rest of his 3 squads, and, following the lead of the other C-G guards in the room, pointed them at the various non C-G and non- Qaaolchoura people in the room.
To michelle, Jefferson barked out, "Corporal, report!"
"Well, it's like this. In Aquilla, if a person is murdered, and the murderer is known, the next of kin has the right in the next 30 days to either kill the murderer or turn him over to the government for execution. And since" the major was grabbed by someone "Aquillans are also narrowminded and assume the rest of the world follows their ideology, so the Lt. Col. was just being a good Aquillan citizen. I am Ribletno, much more sensible." The Lt. Col glared at the pilot. Meanwhile the major was trying to work his way out of the person's grip, saying, "Nothing has happened except proper execution of justice." From the back of the room, someone said, "Corporal, report!"
ooc: I'm Aquilla, not Aquillia. My people are Aquillians. And we don't have Eagle-like features and there are three members of the Aquillan Armed Forces in the room. Minor details.
"One of the Aquillians's, a Lt. Col, has exicuted the Elven Prisoner. This man in front of me tells me that in Aquillia, this is legal." Michelle responded
"And have you informed them of otherwise?" The MWO asked.
"I...."
She seemed at a lose for words. It wasn't a law that she had ever run up against.
"I see. Well then, I shall have that pleasure." Jefferson cracked, then turned to the Aquillians. "You, the Lt. Col, what you have commited here on Canada-Germany soil was a Crime. And because you have commited it ON C-G soil, our laws apply to YOU. Ignorance of the law is no defense, Corporal Peets, Corporal Midan, take this man into custody. It is against the law to kill without a court order, or something, in this land.
That means I have murdered. That means the death penalty.
That cannot happen.
The Lt. Col. looked at the Major, and a mutual understanding passed between them.
As everyone waited for the Lt. Col. to move, three Aquillan soldiers appeared, and spoke to the Major. "You called for us sir?"
The Major looked at them, and moved his lips inaudibly.
The Aquillans looked shocked, and the Major moved his lips again.
The Aquillans raised their electric pistols, and fired at the group of people. The Major and the Lt. Col. followed suit. Within seconds, everyone, including the Ribletno pilot were under the effects of an electric stun, except for the Lt. Col, the Major, and the three Aquillan soldiers. The five then ran out of the courtroom, and toward a helicopter.
An Aquillan Lt. saw them running. "What's the rush?"
"Talk to you later." And they boarded the helicopter.
OOC: As unreasonable as it is that you were able to pull and fire your weapons at about 40 people and disable them all within a couple of seconds without them blasted your asses back into the ground, I'm gonna let that action go through, lol. Why? Well, cause now, it'll be war, :P BTW: are you gonna flee back to your country? And if you do, is your government gonna protect you?
IC:
The Master Corporal in the LAV III had been alerted by the first set of Power'ed Shots, and, as the MWO hadn't reported in after the second set of shots, the Corporal in the 30mm Chaingun Turrent had been alerted.
"You see that? Who's comming out?"
"Shit, it's not our guys, and they're RUNNING."
"Call CentCom. Givem the Sitrep and co-ords, Tell'em that the 'quill's are bording their copter's in a rushed fashion after several gun shots were heard. Recommend that they Scramble the Jet's and knock'em down if the 'Quill's get past us."
"Roger."
----------------
Three 30mm Chaingun's swung towards the Chopers and a voice rang out.
"Halt, do not attempt to take off. We have been authorised to use Deadly force if you attempt to flee. Halt..."
----------------
"They haven't auth'ed us for Shit yet Master Corporal."
"The 'quill's don't know that."
"Ignore them" the Lt. Col. hissed. "Get to the airbase ASAP."
"But we could be killed!"
"Either way we are. Hurry!"
The helicopter took off.
--
The previously mentioned Lieutenant entered the courtroom. And saw everyone unconscious.
"Oh no."
He was the highest ranking officer now that the Lt.Col. and Major had run off.
"Better get these guys to the hospital."
He brought the Ribletno pilot out to a helicopter. And heard the voice.
"Lasyeru, this is bad. I'd better go over there."
"Fuck it, FIRE!"
--------------
In the 3 seconds it took for the Chainguns to warm up, the copter's had lifted themselfs off the ground. By the time the angle of the barrel was up as high as it could go, the Copter was long gone. Only one bullet made it out of the barrel and that smacked into the wall of the courthouse, spraying debre everywhere.
"Get Command on the line, advise them of the situation and tell them the last known heading of the Chopter, they probably have it up on their screens already, but better safe than fuked in the ass."
"Yeah?"
"We could get shot down."
"Cares I?"
"Uh, no sir."
"Only 12 minutes to the airbase now, and...we do have some armament on this huh?
"Uh, yes sir."
"Well, get it ready." The Lt. Col. also got out his electric pistol, and fitted it to a place in the chopper specially built for it.
The fighters closed in, being naturally faster than the helicopters.
"Get your parachutes ready."
The fighters came within firing range.
Simultaneously, one Aquillan parachuted from the chopper, the pilot put the chopper into reverse, the Major trained two machine guns on two plane's fuel tank region, and the Lt. Col. fired repeatedly with his electric pistol, with the hope of killing the pilot of the 3rd plane.
The planes peeled off seeminly shrugging off the fire (in actuality, all three were hit several times, but none severally.)
But before they peeled off, 2 AIM-120's came off the second Jet's rails.
"Your Lt. Col shot you with one of your own weapons and fled in a helo." the MWO answered shortly.
------------
"Command, we're passing Qill borders, we're gonna have company real soon up here. Please advise."
"Have you spotted the target?"
"Yes sir, 2 forms, I say again, 2 forms have just dived from it, over."
"Generate a lock on the helo, tell it to land A-SAP while we get this shit sorted out."
"Yes sir, and the 2 paras?"
"That's what your soldiers are for."
"They've dived into an airbase sir."
"Then tell the soldiers to use appropreate force Pilot."
"Yes sir."
The headset clicked the the sound of the comm link being cut off.
The pilot turned to his Co, "You heard the man, generate that lock and contact the helo."
"Aye sir."
I say again: We have recived reports of Aquillian military personnel killing a prisoner in custody of C-G civilian police, harming both C-G Military and Civil personnell and then fleeing in a Aquillian helocopter. Currently our forces are following the fleeing criminals.
We have Aquillan personnel who have borne witness to this and should be willing to relate to you what they saw.
In the mean time, new information. We request that you do not, repeat, do not intercept our helo's crossing your border. You may escort. But our bird is following your bird, and we want our prisoner.
-----------
Manny Thine looked out the window at the parachute.
"Now what the hell?" he muttered to himself before getting up and walked to one of his glass cabinats, unlocking it, removing a Glock 17, going to a lock box, opening that, removing one magazine, inserting one into the other and readying the weapon before he tucked it away within easy reach. Then he exited his home to go great the drifter.
After all, the parachute had Non-CG, military markings on it, and Manny, as a reservist, wasn't about to completely trust anyone floating down from the sky with no explanation.
"So that's it...are the security guards all right?"
--
The two parachutes reached the ground. They discarded them on the ground and ran to to the hangar, where they boarded an Aquillan X9 stealth fighter/small spacecraft on official business.
"Where to?" asked the major as he got into the pilot's seat.
"Arda."
The plane taxied to the runway and began to take off.
--
Aboard the chopper
"So our commanding officer makes us break international law, nearly kill a dozen people, and then leaves us in the ditch with a wrecked chopper, what do we do?"
"Beats me...oh *****!"
The helo's engine sputtered one last time, and died.
"We're fine." Jefferson responded "but I can't say the same for your Lt. Col."
-----------------
"We've got a plane taxi-ing for take off sir!"
"Target it, I want a full spread of CR..."
"SIR! Enemy helo's engine has failed, it's falling sir!"
"Damn it, get the Enabled up here! He's gonna be playing catch."
"And the plane?"
The officer paused, "We'll get'em sooner or later." he replied quietly.
----------------
The Aquillian halo plunged down into the earth, quickly at first, and then, somehow, slowing in it's decent.
The slowing eventually became a full stop 3 meters above the ground and hovered there for 3 seconds. Then, as if the ropes supporting it had been cut, the helo dropped the last 3 meters and smacked into the ground.
Inside one of the C-G helo's, the body of the enabled hit the side panel with a thunk as he lost consious from the effort of supporting the wieght of the Quill's helo.
President saQaaolchoura stared around. He knew that wr was awful- that was why he'd switched the controling of nationalist movements in the Qaaolchouraav sattelites to providing services(the carrot instead of the stick) after all. Yet this was terrifying.
And according to his knowledge of history, this was but a very minor skirmish. It was diplomatically loaded. Hopefully it wouldn't start a war.
He'd be pressured then to join Qaaolchoura into it, and Qaaolchoura had never been in a full scale war before. The nation had declard war, but never deployed troops. Although perhaps. . . Perhaps he could offer to broker an agreement, should war seem likely. Not likely that they'd agree, but it couldn't hurt. Still, hopefully things could be settled fairly quickly and peacefully. It seemed to be just a cultural misunderstanding.
The room that the President entered didn't seem to be that of a leader of a country. There was no extravigant furnature, paintings or fixtures. Most of the things in the room were functional instead of decreative, though not stark by any length of the imagination, and, except for the solid oak desk Ipkiss was working on, made out of some sort of metal and plastic alloy.
Looking up from several reports, the Prime Minister rose easily and smiled, though his face looked fairly strained.
"Hello President saQaaolchoura, I do believe this is the first time we've met face to face. I'm sorry it's had to be during such a time though."
Qaaolchoura
03-04-2004, 20:52
President Sa Qaaolchoura looked around. The office of Prime Misister Ipkiss looked much like his own- which had been a closet before he commendeered it and installed windows- except that there was more plastic-at least he assumed that it was plastic, although it was slightly cold to the touch- and less wood.
Not at all like his official office of course. His official office, a large room with many arches and mosaic coloumns, mosaics on the floor and ceiling, and paintings and tapesties on the wall with taprestries hanging throu several arches, and windows that were half stained glass, half open air (or had been until clear glass and air-conditioning had been installed in his term). As he glanced again, no tapestries or paintings on the walls, and the floor was laminate, not mosaic.
President saQaaolchoura nodded.
"No, I don't believe so, although I have of course seen you speak on the Public Qaaolchouraav Television News channels.
An expert at undersatement he added:
"It is indeed rather a bit unfortunate."
"Indeed. So Mr. President, what did you come here to discuss?"
Qaaolchoura
08-04-2004, 00:46
President saQaaolchoura was more than a little muddled t this point. He thought about it for a minute, before recalling.
"The er- incident openly involved at least three other nations, as I'm sure you recall. There was no way to tell how they would react, and as Canada Germany is one of only two nations which are not sattelites of ours to share a border with us, as Canada-Germany shares our rather long northern border, and as Canada Germany's border is the foreign border closest to our capital, it would be strategically disastorous to allow Canada Germany to be demilitarized or occupied by a hostile power, moving the gates of The Friendship into Qaaolchoura. I thus thought that it would be prudent to offer my services as a meditator should need arise, and failing that, stand by Canada-Germany in the event of threat of invasion."
Only then did he realize that he might have been a bit too candid. Ahh well, politics, war and diplomacy were too full of lies and scheming as it was. Openess is good. He hoped.
This man... this president was extreamly blunt. Too blunt one might have thought.
"We have no intent on letting ourselves be overrun by enemy forces... infact, to my knowlage, we have no enemy right now that would be able to challange us militarily on the battlefield."
Ipkiss paused.
"Your pledge is gratifying to hear, however, and the people of Canada-Germany Appresheate it greatly."
24-04-2004, 20:30
President saQaaolchoura wondered what would happen if Canada-Germany got in trouble with say Arda or GDOAD.
Tracking devices are necessary for battle coordination, retrieving lost bodies, etc. Are sewn into uniforms so can't be removed. We're getting a report...
The lt.col. and Major flew away from your courthouse, parachuted to an airbase, came on board a high speed stealth plane capable of orbital spaceflight and robotic flying, flew about 200 miles, and parachuted again, over what looks like...the region of Middle East. I'll zoom in on the radar, see which country...
The downed Aquillian Helo gave one last gasp before exploding in a fireball, blasting searing heat into the backs of the C-G soldiers who were currently dragging the wounded bodies of the Ribletno crew away.
Hard winds buffeted the hovering EH-101's as they struggled to stay in the air.
"Well first, a rescue team for your wounded would be appreshated," the commander snapped into the radio.
----------------
"We no longer have any forces following them, our last persuit group was delayed by a downed Ribletno."
Transmission from CGMFA to ACD
"Unfortunetly, we no longer have any forces in the area. We request that you send a recovery group to... recover them. Though no extradition treaty exisits between our two countries, Canada-Germany would like these criminals to be tried in our court system."
----------------
The Parachutist was obviously insane.
Of course, Manny shared this self same quality. And so, to Manny's twisted brain, there was only one good way to deal with insanity.
His handgun came up and the trigger was pulled 3 times; two bullets flew into the Parachutist's back, one into the unfortunet man's head.
"Where to put the body now..." he wondered to himself.
After what seemed like an Century, the Aquillian men where finally on the scene.
"About bloody time." the commander growled under his breath. Then, speaking into his comm, "All back to the helo's, we're pulling out. Lets leave the rest of these boys to their duty."
And that was that; the C-G soldiers retreated to their helo's, letting the Aquillian troopers take care of their own, and the large EH-101's took off again, straight for home, leaving only flatened grass behind to mark where they had been.
------------------
The investigation into the death of the Aqullian parachutist that had landed in the back countries of C-G would turn up nothing. The main suspect, one Manny Glock would be questioned many times, his house and surrounding property carefullly searched, but no evidence to connect him with the dissapearance of the poor Aquillian would ever turn up.
Soon after, the case would be closed and the results, or lack of, would be turned over to the Aquillian authorites with deepest apologies.
------------------
Normally, two individuals in a stealth jet are not easily found. Normally, even if they were found, their fate would not include exicution on the spot. However, somehow, the situation was far from normal. Maybe the two fugitives had seen something they weren't suppose to. Maybe the top level of government had had an attack of paranoia. Hell, maybe someone in the chain of command screwed up and passed along the wrong message.
In the end, it doesn't really matter.
What does matter is that the message was passed along to the Enabled crew of the Space Elevator Station One (SES-1) that these two fugatives were to be found, but not taken.... alive.
So, that is what they did. With the general location in mind, and a hypothisied route in mind, the Enabled minds began combing the largest possible area until they found their prey.
And when they did find their prey, they did as ordered.
The occupents of the Jet would only have felt a slight vibration before the hull of the jet was squished together like a tin can. Following that, an explosion lit the sky with a fireball's light.
The SES-1's compliment of personel would suffer 2 fainted, and one slightly mind burned.
All in a days work afterall.
C-G's government would deny all knowlage and involvment of what they considered "an unfortunet accident."
