Dear NationStates-
I want to make this clear: my nation will NOT engage in ground combat with homosexuals. There are several reasons for this, both more moral and ethical. It is proven that homosexuals do not follow the rules of combat and that they have a bad sense of military fashion. Therefore, I will not risk the dignity of my men on the battlefield. And enough of my people have AIDS anyway, so we don't need no homosexuals giving us even more health problems.

The request is circulated through the ranks: Homosexual soldiers of all ranks were asked to step forward and volunteer to lead the strike from the front should the Dominion need to act against the Bio-Mechanical Rejects. Fair wasn't a word familiar to the DAF's leadership. Even with the devastating numerical advantage of the Dominion, they continued to look for further ways to gain an edge.

In fact, about 15%-20% of Galdania's military personelle are homo/bisexual.

That raises an interesting question, which is:

Are robots homosexual? I mean, they only have one gender and there have been reports of relationships between units.

I've been waiting awhile to spring this on someone, but I'll keep it short because ignorant don't seem to have a high attention span for facts that disagree with their world view.

Alright, in the world the most effective land army up until the modern era (and even then many military historians would still say they are) is beyond a shadow of a doubt the Spartan military.

He's an interesting fact. Practically their entire army was gay. Yup they were all gay. Die in your lovers arms was the theory and it worked damn well.

In any event the first Plenzonian homosexual-only infantry division is currently being trained to run at your soldiers and give them all cooties.

The Haaregradian people view your nation with contempt. Eleven percent of our general population is gay or bi. Seven percent of our armed forces is homosexuals, with an unknown amount of bisexuals. Any nation that is afflicted by the type of pathetic homophobia your nation has deserves to be "liberated".

If the people want to fight for the military, let them. Volunteer men should be welcomed with open arms.

n.b the spartans weren't that crash hot a military machine, just obsessed with breeding soldiers. they were not gay as we understand it either, ancient greeks were not encouraged to form close relationships with the opposite sex, so they basically went to other men for companionship and close relationships, not because of any biological drive like modern homosexuals. Also, the theban band is a far more potent example of a homosexual fighting force :P. Anyway, our military is open to any sexual preference, some of the best military leaders in history have been at least bisexual if not actually gay. (Alexander, Richard Coeur De Leon etc). Any prejudice towards gender preferences is stamped on hard.


OOC Personally i find the concept of homosexual sex disgusting, but legislating about which sex you're allowed to be with is fucking stupid. so my ns country reflects this.
