To Save Some Innocent Lives(Peacefull RP).

Anyone with the time to take a look will realize that Sharldonia's c main industriess are the Information Technology, Furniture Restoration, and Trout Farming industries, and the largest, most important of these to our economy and stability is Information Technology, which is why it's listed first, well it could very well be about to become far more important to the Sharldonian people, as the leaders of our Armed Forces have proposed a new program to the President and Congress that could reduce the risk to the Sharldonian people in times of war, and it has met with their hesitant, somewhat nervous approval, what is this plan you ask? simple: Artificial Intelligence Soldiers, what that means, in simpleterms, is that the top IT companies in Sharldonia will be contracted to make an AI that can linked to several computers, each the size of the Human brain, and each of thoe Human-brain-sized computers would be installed inside an Androidic Human body, meaning we could send Androidic Humans into battle instead of Biological Humans who have families, children, etc... we are also looking at the possibilities of foreign contracting on this project.

The following Sharldonian IT companies have thus far been hired.

Clarke&Mackwell IT.
FuSearch IT.
NuTech Industries.

However, some foreign aid would be welcomed, and an open invitation is going out to all interested nations.

The Kingdom of Gasra has a private sector dominated by the Information Technology industry. Albeit small at the moment, we recognise the importance of technology in the new Millienium. Therefore, ITLink (the main IT firm in Gasra) offers its support in a possible contract, fully backed by the Monarchical Government.

Sincerely,

GMGCO
27-10-2003, 13:06
ITLink's support will be accepted, they want a piece of the contract then?
27-10-2003, 13:11
ITLink and Gasra offers all support for this project, and wishes to actively assist in any way possible.

OOC: I assumed a contract was on offer from the original message. If I misread that, I apoligise. I would still like to assist in whatever way you wish. :)

Sincerely,

GMGCO

Very well, ITLink now has portion of the contract.
27-10-2003, 13:20
ITLink thanks Sharldonia for this oppurtunity. Is there any specific part of the project that is to be worked on by our company?

Joan Muldoon, ITLink President.
27-10-2003, 13:25
Yes, Muldoon my friend, there is, if at all possible, would you be able to do some research on making muscle-gels and things of that nature? as in things that help the Androids move and make them seem more Human.

The Free Land of Lunoris is willing to help in this project. As first we are willing to spend money on it. As second we can send some of our Scientist over. They will keep working our pay roll. And are ofcourse sworn to secretcy to anyone besides the involved nations(they are on the defense pay roll).

Lunoris is more than welcome to send over a details of Scientists.
27-10-2003, 13:31

Certainly, our reseach departments will begin immeidiately. I will telegraph you with the results of this research as and when it is completed - which will be in the near future.

OOC - any particular time frame you want me to get this research done in?
27-10-2003, 13:38
Lunoris: Of course.

Gasra: Very good, thank you.

OOC(Gasra): Within 1-2 Real Life days tops, good?
27-10-2003, 13:38
OOC::  2 days? You want such a difficult programm finished in 2 days?!? That's equal to 2 years.. your inventing a computer capable of thinking on its own.. That's difficult.. :(
27-10-2003, 13:39
OOC:: Meh, lets see, a day is a year. So one could say that a week is a bit to short, lets say 2? OOC: That time scale isn't totally set-in-stone, but we'll work this out.

why build them around a human physiology if they are designed only for combat? i'm sure you can find a much more vicious form for them
27-10-2003, 13:45
why build them around a human physiology if they are designed only for combat? i'm sure you can find a much more vicious form for them Some will be eventually, but for now we're trying to master the Human form, it's all Congress will vote in favor of, they won't consider more advanced projects.
27-10-2003, 13:49
OOC:: Oks.

IC:: Okay, we will send scientist. And how much money could you use? I'm willing to donate 1 billion USD(OC:there goes my defense budget for this day).

Lunoris: Your donation is accepted, we'll be constantly donating 50% of our Defence Budget untill this is a steady movement, then we;ll work from there.

OOC: I'll try and find one of those calculators that works out budgets and such.

Our nation itself is not an expert in information technology as such, concentrating mostly on it's defense industries. However we have long-term collaborated with our regional partners on a limited function Artificial Intelligence for use as a fire control computer in our navy. This project has enjoyed some success in forming a response reactive being, if not a a completely new *person*, such as we understand AI to be in it's ultimate form. We'd be willing to trade the data we've so far gathered if it will any way aid your project. We would donate a working model, but they're all currently installed in ships and thus busy. We don't require anything in return, but the schematics of the end product android would be useful in supplementing bureacrats and police officers, cultural taboos hindering us from dehumanising combat.
With respect to those dreaming such a pleasant dream,

The data might be a help, you understand, of course, that this operation might not succeed?

We're fine with that. We take the view all research leads to something, and as we've taken it as far as we can get funding for, you may as well enjoy the fruits of it. The data gathered so far follows.

Schematics for Sorceror's Apprentice Class A.I follows.

OOC It's called the Sorceror's Apprentice because of the section in fantasia, work out why :P
