Cat People Granted Vote In Rotovia
"Ladies and Gentlemen the much debated issue of the rights of the Nekos inhabitants of Rotovia has finally been decided. The Decree of Rotovian Rights has long been held as the cornerstone of our legal system, it provides all the essential rights of Rotovian citizens, however it does contain one clause that has forever prevented the extending of citizenship or basic Human rights to non-Humans: These rights are granted to all Humans. However, after the continual campaigning by various political and civil rights groups, including the Rotovian Liberal Party, this clause was brought before the Lower House of the Rotovian Parliament for debate; both the Lower House and Senate passed the amendment by a near unanimous vote, save the lone vote of Rev. Charles Arnold Director of the Rotovian Catholic Party. The new amendment will read: these rights are granted to all sentient beings. This is truly a great day for democracy, and a great stride forward for the Rotovian people."
