Unfortunately, none of the current Bedistan World Cup players will be able to attend due to the rigorous training program imposed by new coach Gene Barber. However, eleven of our most legendary players from World Cups 7 and 8 will be happy to attend:

All significant members of the WC8 Lemmings will be in attendance. This will include Lana Maelstrom, Helen Mellon, Joe Lally, Coach Mick Mickelson, and sundry others.

Grant Rockson will be unable to miss the event, for reasons some RM insiders are aware of. Clem Gilson and Glick Masterson will attend pending dates/contractual obligations.

Members of the WC7/8 Kickassers (neé Kickfooters) including Gilgo Gobbins, Bix Gilderbecke, Rose Krantzengil, and assistant coach Morris Horschackio, will attend if Lou Gilsterson doesn't boycott the event on account of the Lemmitanians being there.

Oh dont worry if he does we'll just declare war on him :lol:

The entire Snub Nose 38 International Football side, the Hooligans, will be honored to attend the event. Also in attendance will be the Snub Nose 38 Hooligan Cheerleaders. Muzzled.

Knuckles (Midfield) and Pancake (Keeper) will represent the Hooligans in the round robin.

Remington Grey of ASPN requests the honor of "Giving Away" the bride.

Of course, attendance by the Snub Nose 38 delegation is contingent upon emplacement of a ban on evisceratomatoes at the event.

Bi Kikere (coach of Tanah Burung in WC 6 and 9, of Gilmmecia in WC 7 & 8 ) will certainly be honoured to attend the event. (Gilmeecia, would you like to play her for this event, or shall I? :wink: )

Also coming will be members of the Tanah Burung squad led by former World Cup all-star defender Rosa Bibere. They'd like to bring a gift basket of genetically-engineered vegetables for the happy couple, but they're willing to leave the evisceratomatoes at home. (Actually, evisceratomatoes are increasingly rare in Tanah Burung, but that's another story which will have to await the WC9 role-play thread.)

Nikean captain Keresin Keresiuene will attend, along with manager Jaskelainen Tenerethitel. Nilinen Istel, retired international player, will attend as well, although he will be glued to a bar stool, so unfortunately cannot participate in any events. He will cheer with a drink in his hand, however.

(OOC: To answer your question, RM, in the Roster thread: Tranquillitis (my other nation) uses the Moose as its team name, and the picture is the logo of the local AHL hockey team for my city (the team is the Manitoba Moose). No harm intended.)

The Snub Nose 38 Minister of Statistics and Other Totally Useless Information

1. Since this event will be taking place RL after WC9 qualifiers, that kind of puts it at the same RL time as WC9 round 1. Suggestion: It be established (by RM?) that the Nif/Cannon Nuptuals take place over a certain period of RP time between WC9 Qualifiers and WC9 round 1. Else, many of us will be faced with being in two places at once. Or having to travel at light-speed to get between this event, a match, and back...

2. While SN38 plans to have a large contingent in attendance (entire team, all the cheerleaders (muzzled), managment, some ministers, etc), we will be RPing a select few.

3. SN38 will continue to insist (RP) on a complete ban of evisceratomatoes (sentient or otherwise). However, SN38 also plans to have a much more fool (how appropriate!) proof "safety" mechanism/device then the current "Empam" in place to prevent "SPLAT" by the time the Nif/Cannon Nuptuals occur.
