The Republic Of Alantino first began in the Pacific as a Micronation. After the form of a non-territorial Micronation, the government structure was needed to be developed before it could be implemented.
The government structure had an Emperor (100% control of all functions), and it just so happens that with great targeting at citizens, they began to recruit at a rapid rate. The citizens really enjoyed the ideas of the emperor, but it was still a few years before any land was to be brought.
Two (2) years after the beginning of the micronation project, Joseph Anthony Marzullo had a great deal saved up for land, from donations to actual savings from work, he finally found land that suited his micronation agenda.
Around this time, the macronation that hosted this land that was going to be brought went to war, and at this, recruiting hit a new high with over 100+ weekly.
The war carried on for months, then a depression. A few months later, the people of this breaking nation revolted and the government collapsed. The military command and control collapsed, the leaders were either killed or went into exile and they entered a state of emergency.
Joseph Anthony Marzullo seen an opportunity here, he quickly informed his followers that he wanted to take a stand before an invasion occured by the enemies of the nation. So Joseph Marzullo quickly assembled his people, this was done in a quick few days...
He then collected as many weaponry as possible and handed it down to the loyalists, his goal was to secure the boards and capital. He then made a speech to the nation, he said that the times of depression will be over, that he will do anything possible within his power to create a national unity, and to bring back national security.
After hours of talking to the people, they all cheered for mister Marzullo, they believed in him, and they believed that the hurting of their nation was finally going to be over. Following nations came to notice that the people, once again, began to come together and the rebellions have stopped.
Noticing that an invasion would give them a bad image in the international community after the last administration left, so the final invasion was haulted and the now Republic of Alantino was left to bring itself back to life.
OOC: This was the storyline to justify the nations being in the international community. Just to give some back bone to how Alantino will just pop up one day to RP. :D
