The Apocalypse class: The Armada's new Lexx.
The Xanthalian Space Armada has begun testing of a new ship prototype designed to fulfill the function of the decommissioned Lexx class. This new ship, which is being dubbed the Apocalypse class, is massive and took over five decades and $100,000,000,000,000 to build. Once put into service, it will be capable of using the Infidimensional Transmatter cannon specially designed for the Apocalypse class to take out any target in a single hit. The Apocalypse class' ship-to-ship tactical capability is negligible, and it's cannons take from a few minutes to a half-hour (for the IT cannon) to charge, but it's single-shot capability is far beyond any spacecraft known to exist at this time. Due to the vessel's high cost and long production time, it has been well shielded with double type-Z shields for protection. The Xanthalian Imperial Armada has stated that once testing of the prototype is complete, the ship will be commissioned into active service and a sister vessel built. Beyond that they said they have no plans to build more due to the fantastic monetary and resource cost.
Apocalypse class (shield and target destroyer):
The Apocalypse class is the ultimate weapon against any target, offering minimal standard weaponry and massive single-shot firepower to match or exceed anything else known to Xanthal. The Apocalypse class is the replacement for the decommissioned Lexx class, powerful, expensive and massive. Apocalypse class ships can punch through even type Z Xanthalian shields and obliterate planets, stations, or ships at incredible ranges.

That a big @$$ spaceship. Sell it to me when you build a bigger war starter ship. BTW what where the dimensions on the Lexx class.

*note to self* In case I ever piss off Xanthal or vice versa, Apocalypse is top priority target.

OOC" Glad I IC ignore you 8)
Wolf Kingdom: I don't think we can feasibly go any bigger. This thing is half the diameter of Earth in length. It's a huge drain, which is why we're only building two. If these ever go out of service it'll be because the line of big-gun ships has been terminated. I never specified a size for the Lexx, but it was about 15,000 meters long.
Scandavian States: Probably, but it's not like we'll stick them out where they're easy to get. And if they're ever used it'll be with a really freaking huge escort.
Der Angst: Well, that's both insulting, stupid, and unhelpful...
Thelas: You too? Damn. Nobody likes big guns.

Ok. Thanks for the info on the Lexx class.
Letila: Huh?
Wolf Kingdom: No problem.
So it can destory a Planet, one of our Imperal Zoir destroyers could do that and still have massive amounts normal weaponary for space battles. But still it is impressive that the humans are even able to come up with something powerful enough to destroy a planet.

Zoir: We too have quite a few ship classes that can destroy things on the planetary scale. The Apocalypse class is unique in it's ability to penetrate almost any shields in a single hit with it's IT cannon.
Letila: Plenty of planet-killers in future tech.
Planet-killers are accepted?
*Runs off to build a REAL GCU*
Altaran: By some, not all. And you should probably be future-tech. before you try it.

Yes but you seen your selves how hard it is to kill even those annoying Zoir Warlords ships, the Noble warships are bigger, much harder to kill and have a lot more firepower, sheilding and armor and the Imperal Warships even more so. Currently the Only classes of ships that can take on Imperal ships in a fair battle are the Alantian Outcasts Fury ships and even they are not prepared for Imperal Cruisers, Battleships or the Super battleship, Unfortanly the numbers needed to run these ships and the cost to build and replace them along with the expensiveness of their specal fuel Limits the numbers of Imperal ships greatly. The Imperal ships while beinganceint are still more powerful and advanced but were built with the resources of a Near Galaxic empire, now if we lost one it would take a long time to replace it or to start up one of the ones siting around used.

OOC: Lexx? As in the show?
Altaran: That's fine, I didn't know one way or the other.
Zoir: The fact still stands that the Apocalypse class ship can take out any one target once every thirty minutes if necessary. The extremely low firing rate is it's weakness.
Slutbum Wallah: Yes. As in the show. A modified version of that.
The Xanthalian Space Armada has officially commissioned the first Apocalypse class vessel as XAS-228.

Slutbum Wallah: Considering I have no clue what that means, probably not.

They probably mean 'have you bought the DVD\VHS\Whatever of series 3 of Lexx, the TV programme'.

Then it couldn't take part in a fleet battle otherwise it would be destoryed.
Lord Derishi, Lord Marshal of the Tordoran Space Police.
Altaran: No, I haven't bought any of the videos.
Tordor: Yes. It's not designed for ship-to-ship combat.
So its a weapon to be used when you have destroyed the Planetry defenses, drew away the enemy fleets and as a last resort because you one don't want it destroyed by defenses or enemy ships and two you don't want everyone coming after or a war that will not end intil one side or the other can not fight or are wiped out.
Lord Derishi, Lord Grand Marshal of the Tordoran Space Police
It's more like for hit and run on essential targets. Come in with the IT cannon pre-charged, fire away and destroy the target, then leave before the shields are penetrated.
but when it takes 30 minutes to fire you need to keep the enemy away and also if you blow up a planet, your feels he has to do the same or at least Slag one of your planets, its more likely to make a war last longer. Waging war on Civilans makes the war more vicious and if you start it, it makes you look like evil and such things do not end wars just makes the enemy more determined to win.
Lord Derishi, Lord Marshal of the Tordoran Space Police
The point is you'd charge it up before you got there so you could fire right away. And yes, you're right, it's not the smartest thing to use if you planned on being low-key.
Its something to be used only if the enemy is doing the same things by starting it I would say. Not likely to happen however.
Lord Derishi, Lord Marshal of the Tordoran Space Police
True. It's not a first resort weapon.
