The Genyan Liberal Party has acheived a massive landslide victory in the elections today, beating the ruling National Party, a centre-right party that has ben in power for four years. Under the National Party, taxes fell by 18%, but public spending was nearly slashed in half. Unsatisfied with the lack of good public healthcare and education, the people have elected the Liberals. They say that they will raise taxes for the richest percentile, but for the majority, taxes will remain the same, at about 24%-26%. They have promised to restore public facilities, and bring foreign investors to the nation to help bolster the economy. The Liberals have promised to construct more homeless shelters, and to create jobs by getting people to work as government beurocrats.

The government will also give out 50% more University scholerships, while cutting the entry fee for University by 15%.

These elections are somewhat acceptable...We would, of course, support the Communist Party, if one does exist.

Does a Communist Party exist in Genya?

Academicea is pleased that you are lowering University Education fees and increasing scholarships. Is this enough however? We find that the policy could be improved considerably. That is why the Provost offers Genyan students the opportunity to study at the Campus Republic at a fee worth 20% less than your new charge.
For example IF the:
Old Genyan Fee= $10000 then the New Genyan Fee= $8500.
Academicea is offering a fee = $6800

Depending on the University, rates were anywhere from $12,000-$6,500

Yes, there was a Communist Party in the elections...They were mostly popular with the urban youth of the nation. They did not gather much support. There are only four parties that actually have any chance of winning in Genyan elections, The Liberals, The National Party,
The P'hon Tet Party, and the B'yen B'ian Party.
