OOC:
I was just wondering which nations have a stargate... Silver Coast has one. Our nation is a small territory on the ocean coast, just part of a great range of mountains. Our leader is a Go'auld, the Egyptian god Geb (god of the earth). His power is more symbolic and religious than anything else; he is the head/god of the Silver Coastian Cult of Geb, and can veto parliamentary decisions, but most governing is done by a democratically elected parliament of Humans and occasional Jaffa.

Anyway... Our stargate is in a sealed cave in a mountain; the cave is richly decorated, Egyptian/Go'auld style. You can only get to it or leave it by transport rings (other than through the gate, of course), which connect with a room, fortified and dug beneath a network of caves, constantly guarded by Jaffa.

So does every stargate on the NS Earth have its own coordinates? It would be good if we could have a list of stargates on the planet (and off it) and a description of their surroundings...

I forgot to specify... The DHD is in the same cave, but it can be overriden from a control room adjacent to that where the rings lead, and the iris is also activated/deactivated from that control room.

Geb does not dispute your right to worship false gods. It suffices that many Silverians recognise the one true god Geb.

Geb extends tolerance to you and you are displeased? Truly, the followers of your religion are difficult to understand...

OOC:
Well, who else has got a stargate? In other words, bump...

Hmm, Stargates ... that I know of there are several; "The Goa uld" has an entire network, Menelmacar has one 'gate, and "The Vortex Corporation" has three, unconnected to the rest of the network.

we don't have one, but are interested in obtaining one. please contact me if you have an extra, or a replikator device that could copy yours, we pay well.

I have mobile StarGates... well, not exactly StarGates, and they have more of a chance of going wrong.

Unfortunately, we do not know how to build them, and we have only one.

I have one. I swiped it from Anubis before I vaporized him and his toy ship.

It's just a bigass paperweight in one of my bases, not hooked up to anything.

Menelmacar has a stargate, which we inherited from the US when they became our protectorate. As such, we also have all the SGC files and 'acquisitions' as well. It is also the primary gate for this planet.

The gate (OOC knowledge only!) is located within our own big honkin' mountain base that we use for strategic defense command (it's the central control node for Menelmacar's defense grid). Good luck getting in there. ;)

Crimmond, if you're not using that gate, might we acquire it? It's always good to have a spare.

Well, if they came through expecting to wind up in a half-abandoned mountain in Colorado, they'd have a very unpleasant surprise waiting for them. Remember they don't know we have a gate (yet)

Hmm... I think we purchased a Stargate a while ago, from the Vortex Corporation, but we cut its power and mothballed it about 30 years ago. One of them was destroyed with optera IV... so I dunno... We have two, both of which are on Triton, and don't go anywhere. They were built for a private network.

Really we don't see the point.... no sense in messing with other Galaxies.

Hmmm... Other Go'auld do not like Geb, and might try to track him down to this planet. If yours is the primary stargate, they'll end up facing your "unpleasant surprise'... Geb likes this!

Is it customary for Geb to speak like a child, referring to him/herself in the third?

Why use a stargate when you have the trans-finite drive? We use this wonderful device to arrive places before we left. And power is God, not a stupid dinky alien in someones head.

We have one, and it's accompaning DHD in several hundred pices, scattered across various research labs throughout the nation. The knoledge it's provided has been invaluble to certian... Projects. We've not yet been able to build our own, though that is simply a matter of time. Such activities are, of course, irrelevant to our goals, but it will serve as proof we have interpeted our findings correctly.

The god does not condescend to speak to foreign infidels until they have proven worthy.
