Transport Service

24-10-2003, 23:29
Freedom Country is officially announcing this:

It will cut back on its military spending, from 30% budget to 15%, halfing the expense. This should lose some future jobs, but all current projects are goin ahead as planned.

With the money gained per annum from the reduced spending on military, we plan to build an expansive transport network, involving ground newtorks, subways in all major cities, trams in most cities and towns, new airports and funding to aeronautical companies.

We plan to design several high speed trains, that will run along main routes in FC, making a full transport service. This includes the new 'Superstar' system, a line of new high speed trains. 30 are to be built in the first wave.

A new supersonic plane will be developed, much like Concorde, but we hope it will be more economical and useable. Companies are being funded by FC to design a new plane.

New trams are to be built, for acces in major cities. These and subways are likely to eliminate traffic, and be more enviromentally and economically friendly.

New subways are to be built, for easy acces in cities. This project is hoped to be revolutionary, and be groundbreaking the world over.

Any questions will be answered. We hope to get IT help, and will give updates often.

We applaud Freedom Country for their progressive moves in the field of public transportation.

Oglethorpia runs it's own Maglev lines and highspeed freeways; the speed-limitless Autostrada and Autobahn and our own Maglev lines that run at a silent 346 mph.

Good design makes Maglevs a significant addition to any nation's transport lines.

In Xanthal all transportation is public, with a few exceptions for government and military usage.

Is it possible that this new transport service could be intertwined with the new-to-be-developed Inernational Spacelines?

The inter-planetary service will run on a regular basis between the Benderland international space hub and the various spaceports on and around Mars, Jupiter, the Jovian Moons, Saturn, and the Saturnian moons. Special requests must be filed for any distance further than that.

"In other news, today the huge cross country Freedom City to Rosport 'Superstar' Line was completed and opened. Hundreds of passengers were on the first train, which took all of 3 hours to go the 800 Miles from one station to the other.

A single train, the 'Brox', made the trip, and is scheduled to return to Freedom City tommorow, carrying our president, Sarah Muir, from Freedom City to Rosport. Rail services from Rosport to Peterhead and Freedom City to Peterhead will start on Monday.

Minor rail services from Freedom City and Peterhead to Fraserburgh will start next week, as the track is overdue from having to tunnel a 50km long tunnel under the 'Flower' mountains. Passenger services are said to be huge, and the rail services look to be very popular.
