I am certain that he can squash you simply because he has twenty-five times the ammount of people that you have, and did not the Soviet Union, during the second World War, win because of the sheer size of its armies? The troops were badly trained, malnourished, and undersupplied, but there were so many of them that they held their position, and even gained ground. Then there was the whole incident at Stalingrad for the Nazis. If the Nazi's had the troop base the Soviets did, freezing winters would mean nothing for their army as a whole.
In short, size DOES matter.

Raevyn would only be victorious through outlasting us, that is, they have a much larger population pool to pick soldiers from.
