Capsule Corporation, in a test project, took the Cassis of a CC Moroni-Class battlecruiser, and the gravwell generators off two Kuat Interdictor-Class Cruisers, and created a mediator ship... one that ensures that their enemies don't go running off in the middle of the fight. There is only one right now, but once CC can get the parts off more Interdictor cruisers, they will build up to 3 more. Of course you know, Gravwell generators work well in preventing Ships in range (50 miles) from entering Subspace or Hyperspace. maneuverability is also somewhat limited too.
The ship has been designed to auto-shutdown the artificial Gravwell if the ship is destroyed, just to make sure that the gravity doesn't remain after destruction.
The "Mediator" is totally unmanned, run only by drones and AI and remote control by companion ships.
That's all on this story, but we have also heard rumors that the Capsule Corporation may be working on a Shield Ship of some sort... more to come as that story develops.
