Ainulindalion

He remembered the instant he'd made the decision, now, as the time to fix it came closer.
He was nearly ready to repair the mistakes he'd made yanking the nation from reality.
His mind drifted back to that day.
**************
Humans. How could they do this to one another? The killing. The constant warfare.
It had made him slightly bitter over the years. He could feel everytime one of them died violently. In pain. In fear.
If there was one thing he hated, it was war. Especially modern war.
What was that? That little island to the south had been wracked by bloodshed recently, with one of mankind's most horrible abominations.
Nuclear weapons. Detonated in cities. Full of children and women and old people.
And done for ideals, for hate.
And now it was about to happen again. He reached out and stopped it. For just a split second.
And his mind yanked the people out of this world.
No preparation. No spells. No nothing. Hundreds of millions yanked out the path of destruction, and then...
... the bombs exploded.
What the hell? He tried to bring the people back. But he couldn't.
That was the first time he'd ever failed at anything. He tried again.....
Nothing.
Well, this was going to take some thought.
**************
Well, it was three months later now. Time to undo it, as he'd finally figured out what went wrong.
He'd sent the people to an area of limbo, not dead, not alive.
Time to pull them back.
He pulled the brunette woman in his lap closer, and linked his mind to hers. This would be easier with use of her mental power as well. He'd be able to link to the minds easier, by sending his mind through hers as well as his own.
He'd asked her if she wanted to help, and she had agreed.
He used her physical mind to echo his own, creating a double link to each of the minds he'd trapped.
And then, a massive burst of his power, more than he'd ever used before, even when creating his trees, he ripped the minds out of their limbo.
Each mind had a body before, but not so now. From the minds, he pulled their self image. New bodies.
A new land. Somewhere fresh.
There.
New bodies in a new land. He placed the minds where they meant to go.
Enyalius, relocated to a new land. A fresh start.
He hugged the woman tightly and kissed the top of her head.
"Thank you." Ainulindalion whispered in her ear.
Ainulindalion probed the minds he'd recovered. It hadn't worked as completely as he'd hoped.
A third of the minds faded, dead. Others were lost, confused, minds wiped.
But it was better than total death. And they wouldn't die, there would be enough to keep them alive.
He was nearly ready to repair the mistakes he'd made yanking the nation from reality.
