Reploid Productions

Come one, come all! To celebrate the launch of our first spacecraft, the Hamakaze 370 (http://rpstudios.ian-justman.com/junk/CGgoods/hamakaze370.jpg), we're auctioning off the 4 production prototypes! Unlike the retail version, the production prototypes include features and engines more powerful than were deemed necessary for the retail version!

The auction rules are as follows:

1.) This is a silent auction, meaning all bids must be telegrammed to Reploid Productions. The current high bid price will be posted once per day.

2.) Minimum bid increase is $1 million. Maximum bid increase is $10 million

3.) Only one bid per 24 hour period!

4.) Auction will end October 29, 2003, at 12:01 am Pacific Time.

5.) Bids that do not follow the rules will be void.

6.) When bidding, specify which of the 4 prototypes you are bidding on. Only one prototype per winning nation. In the event of a bidder winning 2 or more of the craft, they will be asked which one they will keep, and the 2nd highest bidder will win the other one(s). The four prototypes are: The Heavensent, the Crusade, the Stardiamond, and the Solara.

Compared to the retail version, the prototype have a max acceleration of 5.5 Gs due to possessing larger engines, as well as a wide range of luxury features, including, but not limited to: zero-g spa, conference room(s), private sleeping quarters, exercise room, and so on. Additional customizations are available on request.

Happy bidding!

What are their thermal tolerances?

There is no starting bid: The first bidder has the option of opening the bidding anywhere from $1 million to $10 million.

As for their thermal tolerances, they can withstand atmospheric re-entry without a problem, and can safely withstand the temperatures and/or radiation within Venusian distance from the sun.

I assume that with approrpriate materials and specifications from us we could have you raise the thermal tolerance?

Certainly, not a problem. Though, if you're planning to use the Hamakaze 370 for what Mr. Grey is guessing, it might be wiser to purchase the retail version, though obviously, in the end it is up to you.

Alright! Many thanks to everyone who participated! Congratualations to our winners, and to those who didn't quite take the win, remember, you can buy your own for the retail price of US$120 million!

Without further ado, the high bids at the time of acution closing!

Heavensent: Slagkattunger: $121 million
(2nd place: The Most Glorious Hack: $110 million)

Crusade: Slagkattunger: $150 million
(2nd place: Treznor: $149 million)

Stardiamond: Sneaky Bastards: $131 million
(2nd place: Slagkattunger: $121 million)

Solara: Slagkattunger: $161 million
(2nd place: Iraqstan: $160 million)

As you can see, Slagkattunger had the highest bids on three of the four craft at the close of the auction. As per the rules of the auction, they will be contacted and must choose only one of the three, in which case the second place bidders will be declared the winners of the remaining two craft!
