The current head of Foreign Affairs for The People's Republic of Lac Aloatra offers formal greetings to all.
Unfortunately, owing to a growing number of internal disputes we are currently unable to offer very much in the way of international relations. However we felt it prudent to make ourselves know to the outside world and pledge to become involved, where possible, in affairs beyond our borders.
For the time being we shall attempt to build relations with neighbouring nations or, indeed, those further afield when we can and hope to make contact with you at the earliest convenient opportunity.
As a post script please note that we are presently enjoying a boom in the Lemur population and would be interested in opening trade talks with any nation requiring same. Lemurs have a variety of uses (although we would have to deliberate their use as either foodstuff or target practice) and make extraordinarily effective tree surgeons.
Yours,
PRLA Foreign Affairs Secretary.
