Tir Eselyn, Ravenspire (AP) -- The Scientific Research Council of Ravenspire today announced a breakthrough in its studies of the chronon, the so-called "particle of time." While it has been possible to isolate chronons for some time, directing their flow was another matter. However, scientists have found a reliable method for influencing the "attraction" of one chronon to others, making it possible to reliably gather or disperse the particles. The concentration of chronons in turn influences the passage of local time. Council Chief Charlton Black likens this influence to the curvature of local space in the presence of a concentration of gravitons, adding, "While I'm not free to discuss them at length, there are certain similarities between the processes which suggest an even more fundamental link between the two particles than had previously been suspected."
The chronon has been the subject of intensive research since its discovery, but many secrets remain to be uncovered, Black says. "We may one day see a timefold device as practical as the Spacy's spacefold, but that, like so much else, remains in the future."
