From all over the galaxy, Olof Palme class explorer frigates pull out of their births, headed into the void. This meant anywhere. Their mission: to explore, discover, and enlighten, as well as to make contact with anybody they find. This, of course, is LRR's ongoing mission, but now the bulk of our resources are concentrating on this endeavour. New classes of research ships are being developed to aid the Olof Palme, LRR's second oldest ship design. This technology is freely available to all WWSETI members.
