OOC: Rukemian Civil War RP
OOC-I'm planning to have a Civil War RP in my country, something like a large uprising, I need help on what the people would be uprising about though and what type of government they would support....can anyone give me some ideas? I'm not an expert when it comes to politics and I'm feeling uncreative so someone give a guy some help...please?
OOC: There are plenty of reasons for people to rise up and start a civil war, I guess. Some examples would probably consist of:
-Your country is imperialistic.
-A decisive new law has been passed, one that seriously negatively affects a certain race, sex, animal, or whatever.
-A state could secede from the rest of the country, declaring itself independant.
-The latest election was rigged and it gets out to folks.
I don't know, I'm just throwin' ideas... Bad ones, but ideas.

OOC: I could have spies incite a revolution.
OOC: In my nation's history, I have a lot of military coups.
So you might want to try a military coup --- but only more detailed. You could have half of your military to be loyal to the emperor, and other half loyal to the rebels.
Some ideas for rebels include:
-Disloyal military members who wants to become the emperor.
-Generals want to estabilish a military or communist dictatorship.
-Some people wants to estabilish a new republic.

Political Idealogy - Such as Communism. Before World War 2, Spain had an all out Civil War between Communists/Republicans/Anarchists supported by Soviet Russia and the Nationalists supported by Germany, and Italy.
Ethnic Tension - Such as in todays Ireland, where Catholic Republicans clash with Protestant Loyalists.
Imposition of draconian measures by the government can also lead to Civil War.
You should do a combination of the following:
Disloyal Military
Religious Ideology
and last but still important, political corruption (or at least accusations of such)
