OOC: That's right, this is a space colony of Neo earth, in the year 2152 (Neo Earth takes place in 2010)

Oh, yeah, and don't give me the crap saying there isn't enough room on the moon and mars.

IC:

[Telegram from Neo Earth]

After long years of research, Emp. Coran VI has launched a expedition to colonize the Moon and Mars. Both colonies are established, and are thriving. We have been given a loan from the Holy Empire of Neo Earth to buy all space weapons needed.

It was supposed to be written by this nation.

Plenty of room on Mars. Welcome to the neighborhood, and watch out for Vascilia County. They don't like colonies.

Great, where can I stake my claim?

You can buy pre-developed land in Noachis, Sirenum, or Vastitas Borealis (if I remember correctly), or start from scratch anywhere else that doesn't have a colored line around it already.

Well, how many people are you putting down? I would suggest an area away from VC, as well as moving a specific puppet to The Planet Mars.

Much of the (unclaimed) planet is being developed for colonization by Eniqcir, thus I would recommend contacting them for a pre-built area. Easier to colonize that way.

Well, 500,000 people are on the moon, around 200,000 of our military is finishing training on Earth, another 25,000 are in our new space crafts. So that leaves 4.275 million people to land on mars.

I will move to the region.

You can move to the Green Mars region of Mars. We have a regional terraforming sector, which keeps us from having to live in domes. It's so nice, it's essentially a pollution-free Earth.

Istar wishes to enter space and request the aid of any nations willing to help the Holy Empire gain the technology to traverse the stars in a manner that will allow us to maintain a Space Empire.

Also, could you expand the Crimmond territory to fit in 387 million people? And rename in Mizar 3, my puppet that's taking it over. I'd like to get a larger chunk of that sea I'm bordering there.

Uh... on the map, Green Mars is underwater, you have gills too? That's not water, that's just a lower area of Mars. Anyway, we never claimed the territory on that map, we claimed it on a different one. They just pasted us where we fit on that map.

OOC: RESI - there is water there now. But the general idea is that either you built walls or the domes are now islands. But let's not turn this into a Mars thread.

If you have a specific desire to move to Mars and want a claim, TG me and we will discuss it. Crimmond - Next update (Sunday) it should be done.

But let's not turn this into a Mars thread.See, there lies the problem, Green Mars never needed domes from the start. People only colonised the land after plant growth began. The terraforming that came about due to the Green Mars project can't destroy the place, at least not without my OOC consent.

OOC: Well, I guess there are walls or something there then. The water is not that deep, and we would't have flooded you out or anything. The walls could have been built before the water was released from their dikes. Does it really matter? It just makes Mars more attractive for all of us.

And yes, it does matter if your nation is under ten feet of water.

OOC: I was talking about the water in general. Some nations have been walled off, some have become island nations, others have moved to higher ground. What you do in reaction to the water is absolutely up to you. I was just giving an example - I don't know your particular situation and desires.

heh, the terraformers arguing about their own work. it is impossible to terraform one part of Mars without affecting the whole planet. Of course green mars is under water, and I'd say Sunset is only trying to smooth things over when s/he says it isn't much. It's an ocean!

But of course, I shouldn't stir up trouble.
