As Jade makes her way outside she can feel a chill run down her spine. Its a bit more cool now then when she had entered. He she been in there for so long, she thought to her self.

She waited for the others to make their wayo utside. She knew she was fast, but again she was only human. their where other that would be faster, and in the end she'd probably lose. But the one thing she had always done in life, and that was never give up, no matter what the odds. Cause every once and awhile you could do the impossible.

Then it hit her, maybe by following that train of thought, there might be hope for her yet. However, at the moment all her attention would have to go towards the coming Race.

the 2 Trasians just stare thinking how idiotic these poor people look

She nods at Jade. She smiles. "Are you not afraid you are going to lose? Many here are not of what you think they are and many are."

Leaning down into a stretch, calnux shouts,

"Everyone ready? On your mark, get set, GO!"

Taking off running, Calnux follows the trail he has taken many times before, knowing that it takes him 13 minutes exactly to get to the top, and the other trails he has tried take up to 15.

"Rachel might beat me. Jade and Zephyr, as much as I hate to admit it, don't stand a chance. I worry for Jade. She has much anger in her heart, and anger is never a good thing. One must be at peace. I can't say much about Rachel. She is so mysterious. Man, that is such a turn on! The way those eyes pierce right through me. I know I've seen her somewhere before, but where damnit, where?!" he thinks in his head.

Jumping over fallen logs and ducking under branches, he turns around and doesn't see anyone.

"This could be a good thing, or a bad thing. Good, because I could be REALLY far ahead of everyone. Bad, because I could be REALLY far ahead of them. I hope I win, since I don't have 1000 jagged to give away over something as childish as this. That money is going to help a dear old sick friend."

Jade returns Rashels smile "Oh I know that. There are thosse here who's physical abilities are far beyond mine, but I'm not going down with out a fight."

Rashel winks at Jade. She sees that someone has set the pace already. She liked it in the back. You didn't have to worry about those following you. She loved the chase. She picked up speed. Her breath became more rhythmatic and she was just behind Calnux. She yelled to him,"How do you suppose you will win?" She was still at a good pace. She still had enough energy and more.

As soon as Rashel takes after Calnux, she too brakes chase. She forced to run at full speed just to keep pace. she wonders how long she can keep this up

She feels Jade and hears Jade. "Hope you can hold out girl." Rashel smiling at the difference in pace, but gives the girl props for staying up with them.

the Trasians continue their discussion about the Stardstroyer shortage in the LV system


Cultist (Kyle) :We need the ISD's inorder to keep law in the LV system, the TSD science division are up to no good, somthing like Xenomoprhs?


Colonel Strivo: yeah, do you know the blank look on the scientists faces? Doctor Eisenberg gives me the creeps. it's like he's almost insane


Cultist (Kyle): yeah, about 30 years ago he survived a Xenomorph attack that killed the rest of the colony members on LV-201.


Colonel Strivo:i didn't know that, i wonder how he survived that slaugherhouse, anyway's the LV system is not as important as the Beta Nobis System, where the Storage facility for our Technology is.



Cultist (Kyle): i know that but the scientists must be protected and have a eye kept on them.


Colonel Strivo:it's not up to me where the stardestroyers go anyway's. well thankyou for the drink my friend.

the Colonel Get's up and leaves the Bar

Zephyr wasn't one for running, even though he was an elf, but he perfered... cimbing. He took after them, and pulled out a pair of metal gloves, with small hooks in the ends. He saw the two girls up ahead and glanced at the trail slightly above. he caught a loose branch and swung himself up and started to scale the small side to the other trail, using branches and rocks to pull on, hoping to get arround and get in lead. To him, this was strictly not cheating, because no one said he couldn't. 'This is actually fun... Haven't done this in a long time...' He said to himself, and began laughing.

Hearing the words, Calnux keeps jogging, but turns his head a little so Rashel can hear what he says. Without slowing down, but appearing to speed up, he says,

"I will win because I can't lose. To be honest, I don't have the 1000 jagged I bet. I HAVE to get that money. A friend of mine is sick, and I need to get him the jagged so he can get the meds he needs. Therefore, I can't allow myself to lose."

And with that, Calnux speeds up. He can hear Jade behind Rashel, and the Elf climbing through the limbs, but keeps a rather fast pace, not giving off a single sign of slowing down anytime soon.

A friend eh. hmmm. Rashel picked up speed. Her quadrecips burned with the new energy it was given. She was right next to Calnux. In fact she could reach out and touch him. She did she touched his shoulder. Just for a moment. The endurance ran through her body and she gave another kick she pulled ahead alittle bit. She was ahead so she decided to cut across him. Back and forth. Back and forth.

Zephyr made it to the trail, but noticed Rashel and Clanux running up close. Damn, they are fast...

He started to run up, and was looking for a good branch to swing from again, but he couldn't and the two were picking up on him quite fast.

Seeing the Elf in the trees and Rashel teasing him, Calnux sees he has almost no chance of winning. He isn't one to give up without a fight though, so he picks up the pace a little. Still running, he goes into the Hembra again, getting lighter, and seeming to run faster. Taking longer strides, and taking them faster, he starts to pull ahead of Rashel again. Looking back at her, he can see that she isn't growing tired at all. He can see Jade lagging behind, and sees how hard she is trying.

Thinking to himself, "There are other ways I can get the jagged. Jade wants to win. I can see it."

Stopping in his tracks, he grabs Rashel as she goes to pass him.

Whispering in her ear, "Let the human win. WHen she is resting, you and I will race again."

He starts to jog slowly, then purposly trips on a log, which would allow Jade to catch up and pass him.

Jade was keeping a good pace but the other were still ahead of her. however, it wasn't long until she began to make some ground. Perhaps the other had drain their engery, now would be her chance. She push forward with more deterination then before, she may yet win.

Seeing Jade pass him, Calnux stands up and begins to jog behind her, making noises like he is out of energy.

"I hope she doesn't let all this go to her head. She seems to fragile, I don't want to hurt her." he says in his head.

Shouting forward to Jade, "How do you do it human? You are as fast as I am, if not faster, yet you do not seem to be growing tired. I've been running my entire life."

Looking around, Zephyr and Rashel are no where to be seen.

"I hope those two aren't already up at the top. I want them to let Jade win."

She took his words to heart. But sometimes nice girls just finish last. Hahaha. Oh okay, she would let the kiddo win just this once. She saw Zephyr bouncing along the trees. Oh I will take care of him. She sprints and gets about 100 feet in front of him on ground level then she bounces up on the tree and waits for him. She knows he did not see her so he will not be expecting this. She sees him bounce for another branch and she lands on top of him and bears all her weight on him and with the helpof gravity she brings him to the ground in three seconds flat. After the dust settles she gets up. "Thanks, Zephyr for the cushion. Hey, there goes Jade. You go girl. Here let me help you up." She reaches for his hand and pulls him up. Her smile is mysterious. "Well, now. I suppose we walk the rest of the way back."

Seeing Rashel and Zephyr fall to the ground, he knows that Jade will win. All he has to do is "fall" again, and she will be up at the top.

"I could just fall, and she will jet ahead, or I can just start running, and pass her then get the money. Hmm, what to do, what to do? Help myself, or help someone in need. I know she doesn't NEED to win, but it will help her self-confidence."

While thinking of this, Calnux didn't bother looking ahead Without meaning to, he trips and falls over a log, and lands flat on his face. Looking up, he sees Jade about 200 feet in front of him. Getting up and dusting himself off, Rashel and Zypher come walking up.

"Hello guys. There she goes. I guess that since she will beat us to the top no matter what, we can fly now? You want to carry him, or you want me too?"

With that, Calnux is back in his own skin.

OOC: He's still pretty damn human-looking Calnux...

IC: The pounding of feet on the dirt path can be heard in the distance. The running form of Whiptail enters view, using his powerful legs to generate immense amouts of speed, keeping his long tail stretched outward for balance as runs. The Dark Argonian stops in front of Calnux and the others. "You have left me in the bar, but I have caught up. Let us continue."

Rashel took hold of Zephyr and took to the sky. She was graceful in the air for the wind and the draft held her up. She looked below and saw the trees look like little green dots. Being up in the air would always take her breath away. THey passed through a cloud and everything was gray for a bit. The sunlight struck her back and was warm. The clouds were parting now out of her way. She would dip back and forth. She saw Jade below and she swooped down and droped Zephyr to be with Jade. She did not want to be restricked. She flew back up to the blue sky again.

As she crossed the finish line she stopped to catch her breath. despite the years of conditioning this race had taken a lot out her. She looked behind to see the other take to the air. normally she would have celabrated her victory, but for the moment she would try and catch her breath.

Zephyr was mad at Rashel for knocking him, but things happen that need to happen. Throught the whole thing, all he did was sit and listen, and when he was in the air, he was amazed. He now knew what it was like to fly.

Once he was near the finish line after Jade, he ran up behind her. "Congrats, you have won." and he took a bow to Jade.

Calnux turns to Whip and tells him, "To be honest, you have too much skill for us. There is no way we could have beaten you."

With that, Calnux leaps up, and spreads his wings. Not needing to carry anyone, he is able to take his time, and go as high as he wants. A couple minutes after taking off, he lands on top of the mountian, behind Jade. Walked up behind her, he hugs her and says, "Congratulations. Here is the 1000 Jagged you won. Everyone, give her the money, since there was a bet. We all owe her 1000 Jagged." Calnux hands over three 300 Jagged coins and a 100 jagged coin.

Putting his hand on her head and giving it a little shake, he says, "Try not to spend it all in one place."

Calnux allows the others to get their jaggeds out, and while they do that, he picks up Jade and takes her on a little flight. Up into the clouds, down to the lake, and over the bar. Back up to the sky, seemingly high enough to touch the sky, he lets her. As she is free falling, he swoops down and catches her, then places her back in the spot she was before.

"Just a little something I thought you might like. Didn't know if you had ever been flying before." he says, a little grin on his face.

OOC: geez... with all the flying, I should have brought Kaz or Vor'en into this one... Vor'en would have been good, add a bit of excitement, considering he isn't in an RP at the moment....

IC Zephyr watched Clanux and Jade leave, and he pulled out his Jagged, and hands it to her after she gets back from her flight. "Congrats once again..."

"Thanks but no, keep your momey I've no need for it"

OOc: RL i'm a bit drunk now myself I'm soory foir any errors that my occur while typing

Looking at Jade, he says,

"Well, you won the bet. I don't mean to sound rude or anything, but if you aren't going to take the money, can I have it? A friend of mine, who is like a father to me, is very ill, and I need to get him the meds, but he doesn't have the money for them."

OOC: I just drank a few screw drivers, and I'm starting to feel the effects of it now. Amazing, I can still type correctly.

She smiles "Please give the money yo your friend. i've got all the money I need"

Kyle Get's up and walks outside and lay's down on the grass.


he takes off his mask and robes and breaths the Air that's around him,then he takes out a Orcarina and starts to play a slow song

"Thank you so much Jade. Would you all like to come see him with me? I know the meds he needs, and a shop in town sells it. We could pick it up here, and go straight to see him."

"I see no problem in that"

"How about you guys? Zephyr and Rashel, you want to come with?"

Rashel looked over there heads, she heard the song being played. Words could not describe it. She looked back and said,"No, I think I shall stay and wait for you guys to come back. I have some thinking to do." She walked away towards the music, obviously the others had not heard it. Her hearing was remarckable though. She stopped aways from the Trasian cult gentleman, not wanting to distrub him. She sat down against the tree and closed her eyes as the music took hold of her.

the Trasian dosn't sense the other person nearby and keeps on playing the song

OOC: now that I'm sober in RL I will appolgize for anything said last night. However it would appear the only thing done war poor typing/ spelling. Even though it not that great to begin with.

OOC: It's ok Jade.

IC:

"Well Jade, shall we get going? We won't be gone for long. Just a few hours. 3 at most. Just go to the store, get the meds, go see him, visit for a little, then come back."

Spreading his wings, he shouts, "Get on. Let's get this show on the road."

And with that, Jade and Calnux take off.

Zephyr stood there, and watched everyone leave. He found a spot, still on the hill, and sat against a tree. No one was arround, just him sitting there.

'Damn you Kaz, where are you when I need you, or at least your wings' he thought to himself, and laughed at the remark. 'Why cant I be lucky like him and his brother and be born a half dragon? That sucks.' He got up and began to walk down the mountain and look at the scenery as he strolled down...

As the two made their way to the store Jade turned to Calnux
"You said your friend was sick, but you never said with what?"

Looking back at Jade, he says,

"He has what we call Supuun. The lungs start to fill with blood, and you start to drowned. Sadly, it doesn't happy fast. It's slow, and painful. They will fill, then you could wake up, and it will be gone. It comes and goes. He has been suffering for about 2 years now. We never know what is going to happen. Last time I saw him a couple of months ago, he was bed ridden."

Walking into the store, he looks at the clerk.....

"I need some meds. My friend has Supuun, and he told me to get him 2600mgs of Astorga in 200mg pills. I have the jagged for them."

Laying the jagged on the counter, they wait for the meds. Looking at Jade, he sees a strand of hair on the side of her face, and gently puts it back in place with the others.

"Are you rested? You ran well today."

OOC: I'm not a doctor, so yeah....

OOC: What you describe can happen. however, it usually occurrs at high altitudes, and can be fixed by returning to lower altitudes. people with lung cancer can find their lungs fill with liquid.

IC:
Jade Smiles at Calnux "Thanks" She appreciated his guesture. It was not often that she got this type of attention. But she also felt guilty.

"How long with this medication last your friend?"

Seeing Jade blush, he chuckled inside.

"The amount of meds should last him the next 3 weeks. He does a lot of praying to Jids, so he uses very little energy. He will only need to take one pill every 3 days or so. By that time, he should be good. If he isn't, looks like I'll be going back to the old ways I lived. Going from town to town brawling in street fights to get money for him. I heal faster then most, so the two days it takes me to walk between towns is more then enough time for my cuts and bruises to heal is more then enough."

Seeing how Jade was paying so much attention made Calnux realize how beautiful she was.

"Maybe this is the women Jids is always saying I will find. The one for me." he says to himself.

"You want something to drink? Maybe something to eat? I have about 500 Jagged left over, so we can indulge ourself for the time being."

She reaches into to pockets. She takes a moment to calculate was she got left.

"I've got around 60 Credits left" she had spent more at the bar then she had thought. "Would do want to do?"

Looking around in the store, he asks the man at the counter how long it would be.

"About an hour."

Looking back at Jade, he says,

"Don't worry about it. This is my treat."

This was his way of showing interest in Jade. Hoping she picks up the hints, he continues,

"We have about an hour to burn. I could use something to eat. Maybe something I've never tried before. What are those beef patties you humans eat? Ya know, between the bread? Those any good? I want to try one."

Grabbing Jade's hand, he leds her outside.

"I could really go for some Cola right about now."

Looking around for a resturant, they head down the streets looking for a place to eat.

As the two make their way outside Jade realizes that she feels strangely comfortable with Calnux. Something that hasn't happened before.

As an agent she was taught never to trust. But there was something between the two. However, for the moment she didn't know what it was, She was just glad to be in his company.

sigh "You said that you want to get a Hamburger." She looks around "The thing with those is that they can be real good, or real bad. It all depends where you go to eat." She can't reconize anything that she would know.

She glances over at Calnux "Just want to go sit down some where. It has been my experience that most places sever burgers."

Looking back at Jade, while leading her towards a store, he feels a like a little kid excited about getting a new toy, but it isn't the food he is excited about. He is happy to be accepted by a female. He can't sense any bad vibes, so he must be doing SOMETHING right.

As they walk into the resturant and are sat at a table, Calunx starts to look through the menu. Seeing all sorts of food that looks good, he finds what he was looking for: HAMBURGERS! That is what Jade had called them, so that is what they are. While Jade looks through her menu, Calnux just stares at her. Thinking to himself,

"She is beautiful. I would do anything to be with her. Even in this short amount of time, she has helped me so much, without asking for anything in return. She could teach me much, and me the same for her. Maybe I should say something? No, I couldn't."

His thoughts were inturupted as a heavy set lady walks to the table and says,

"Hello, I'm Fresda, and I'll be your server. What can I get you today?"

Looking at Jade, he tells her to order first.

The two had exchanged a number of looks along the way that told Jade that she wasn't only one who was enjoying the company.

She took a quick glance through the menu trying to decide what she wanted. After a few moment she decided.

"I'll have the BLT on white. And glass of Soda" she handed the server her menu.

She noticed that Calnux had given her a funny look when she had ordered. She thought that may he didn't know what she had ordered.

"It's short for Beacon, Lettuce, and Tomato." She grinned "It's an easy way to tell the server that you want a Hamburger with everything on it. There really good, or at least I think."

"Well, I think I'll do that then."

Looking at the waitress,

"I'll have a hamburger with everything on it please, and a glass of soda."

Handing the menus to her, there was a rather ackward silence...

Jade looks across the table at Calnux. She takes a moment to look deeply into his eye's. She finds her self afraid that she'll end up doing something that will offend him, and drive him away. Jade dosen't know what she should do from here.

It has been said that if two people can enjoy each others company in silience that it actually means something.

"Calnux I.." she stops for a moment " I want to ask you something, but I'm sure exactly what I want to ask you, or how to ask it." she reaches over a takes a sip of the water that had been sitting on the table.

"I.. just don't know what to say right now. Do you know what I mean?"

"Bar tender, give me a bottle of scotch and a pint of cider please!"
An egg of a man stands in the doorway. The man's a Diaconate monk. There's a healthy glow to his charming, furry, smiling face. He dances his way to the bench at the bar, falls off, and picks himself up again.
"Now how did that happen!"
"Been sampling the sacristy wine again I see, father," asks the bar tender.
"Aye, aye, but only a sip or two! Must make sure the stuff's good! Can't be serving bad wine to the parish now, can we? Got little enough massgoers as it is without my driving them away because of an untasty Eucharist!"
"You don't have to convince me, father! You just have to pay the bill and I won't complain!"
"You are a nice lad, bartender lad. Remind me to give you an absolution when I'm more sobre. Now what sort of happening have I stumbled into? Any pretty ladies need comforting? Why don't you come over and sit on father's lap!"

OOC: Good job with your posts Tappee and Calnux. Calnux, I have heard of hemorrhaging, but I haven't heard of your drug. I even looked it up. Oh well. It was a good read anyway. I am glad that our characters are interacting. I do wish others that were part of this would make a connection to these characters also. Oh well.
IC: Rashel shook her head. She came out of her daze. She walked past the player and did not stop. She would not bother him again. She walked up into the bar again. She walked up to the bartender. "Can I have a glass of water, please?"
"Sure thing, miss thing." He handed her a glass of water. She sat down and drank her water. She was looking around the room again. Not much had changed, but Jade and Calnux were not there. She mumbled, "Where is Zephyr?"

the Trasian hears a noise and quickly stops playing and turns around, but he see's nobody so he just turns back around and starts to play a faster song

As Zephyr came to the bar, he heard the song from the Tarsian, and walked by him, into the bar. "Hey Rashel. They ditched me on the mountain with Clanux and his damn wings, makes me wish I had wings... So, what are you up for?" He said, as his eyes seemed to show, on their own, a bit of excitement.

"Not a whole lot. This place still hasn't changed. What do you have in mind?"

A dark figure sat on a stool at the bar not too far from Rashel, swirling a shot of whiskey. A weathered black cloak of a once-fine material pooled around the man, hiding the rest of his body in shadow. A hood masked his face, making none of his features definable except for one pale amethyst eye, and one eye of a deep crimson.

"Matters not to me, just something... fun" he laughed, and thought about some things to do...

OOC: I made up the medicine name. The letters just looked good together.

IC:

Looking back at Jade, she starts to talk.

"Calnux I.." she stops for a moment, " I want to ask you something, but I'm sure exactly what I want to ask you, or how to ask it." She reaches over a takes a sip of the water that had been sitting on the table.

Answering her,

"I think I know what you mean, but I'm not sure. All I can say is that you seem rather relaxed, yet tense at the same time. Is something bothering you? Feeling something you haven't felt in a long time? It's ok, you can tell me. I can take a lot. People say I'm good at giving advice, so just ask, and odds are I can help you. I would like nothing more then to help you."

Hoping she would pick up on his hints, he takes a drink of the same water.

The cloaked figure looked over at the two, and his gaze settled upon Rashel, seeming to pierce her soul.

"Fun you say...would a test of swordsmanship interest you?" He asked, still looking at Rashel.

"I'm.." she thinks to herself for a moment "Well I guess that I'm feeling something that I've never felt before. And to be honest I'm afraid that you may not feel the same way as I do. Thats something that scares me."

She takes a drink of water allowing her words to set in. But she not sure if she allowing them to set in for Calnux, or herself.

"Umm.. From a very young age I was taught to shut of my emotions. Buyt when I'm with you thats something that I just can't do." She reaches over placing her hand on his "When I'm with you I fell more complete then I have in my entire life. I'm happy"

Rashel glanced at the figure in black. She grinned a vicious grin. "A swordmanship test. Sure why not? I have nothing to lose. Only everything to gain." She stood up and waited for the figure to get up. "Obviously, we can't do it here." She walked outside and drew her sword. It was long and slender, but strong. It was a light silver metal and the dwarfs had made it for her. The strongest steel ever made and made by the best craftsmen. It was a gift to her. She should go back and visit those men again. She actually missed their comeons to her. Thinking of this she smiled and said to the man, "Bring it on." She placed her sword straight at him and separated her legs to balance her out. She took and deep breath and paced it for the remainder of what will be exhilerating and exhausting. She always perpared herself for the worse. Even though it usually never happened.

Feeling her hand on his, Calnux feels relaxed. He knows he can protect her, and he needs to be with someone. He is tired of being lonely. That was his choice of course. Over the last few days, he has grown rather fond of her, giving off subtle hints.

"I know what you mean. I feel it also. You NEED to have your emotions on, or you aren't human. You aren't anything more then a machine. This," he says, placing his hand over her heart, "is what makes us what we are. Not this." placing his hand over his weapon.

"I would greatly appreciate it if you would come with me. I love being around you. You make me all warm and fuzzy inside." he says with a giggle. Just then, the food is brought over to them.

"Thank you miss."

He takes a drink of his soda, and gets ready to take a bite of the burger, but stops.

"So, what exactly did I order?"

Jade lets out a bit of relief. Calnux responce had put her mind at ease.

"You got the BLT hamburger. which is a hamburger that has every topping that you would put a hamburger. It's what we call finger food, which means you eat it with your hands."

She reached down for hers and took a bit.

Ring, Ring

The noise startled Jade who had forgot that she had her cell phone in her pocket. She pushed the hair away from her ear so that she could talk.

"Hello" she waited for the person on the other side to finish. "No I'm Ok." she pauses again "I now that we all had plans, but something else has come up, you can go on with out me" A worried look comes over her face. "I'm sorry but I have to go"

she turns off the cell phone. "Sorry about that Calnux"

Taking a bite of the burger, he asks,

"You had prior plans? If you don't mind me asking, with who?"

Chewing the burger, he isn't sure if he likes it or not, but decided he does and keeps eating it, always looking at Jade.

Whiptail re-enters the bar, having lost sight of Calnux and the others. He seats himself back at the bar, near a man in a long black cloak.

"To be honest this place was only a stop over to refuel my plane. In attempt to kill some time while they refueled the plane I stop off at the bar." she takes a bit of her food. "I Was on my way home at my fathers request. That was him wanting to know where I was."

Zephyr started to worry... "No sword fight for me, I'm the gunslinger, not the fighter..." He walked out though, just to watch. Now Kaz, there is your swordfighter... And Vox, with his daggers, but Vox scares me...

OOC Now i wish Kaz was here lol fun to swordfight...
Ok enough of me whining

OOC: I don't know if there will be a fight if my fighter doesn't show up.

The man in black gave Rashel a silent nod, and followed her, the cloak billowing around him. As she got into a ready position, he let his arms hang by his sides at a slight angle. With a sharp hiss, a sword shot out from under each of his wrists. He put one sword's tip nearly touching the ground, ready to block, and brought the other sword slightly above his shoulder, pointing towards Rashel. He gave her a sardonic smile.

"I'm ready when you are. About your earlier comment, I do not know whether to interpret that as confidence, or proof you are in a situation similar to my own." He said, a slightly wistful tone to his voice.

She nodded towards the man. She looked him up and down and judged him. She did not like to make assumptions, but sometimes it was safe to look the other person over. "Then it shall begin." She took her sword with two hands. Brought it straight up and mouthed something. It was in Latin, ancient Latin. Not many people can translate it. It was her main language and what she knew. The sun shone brighter and she smiled, a devastating smile. She was shift in her attack. She brought the sword dead on straight for his neck. She was not aimed to kill just to stun.

OOC: It is okay, we all know we have other priorities. Sorry, if I am alittle shy at this in the beginning. I have never RP a fight before. So, it shall be alittle slow at first.

((Well, I will go a bit faster, as I have participated in several fights like this. Tell me if you wish for me to slow down a bit.))

The man brought one of his swords up to block Rashel's blade, and the cold clang of metal on metal rang out. He quickly closed the gap between the two disengaging his sword from hers and moving too close for her to use a longsword effectively. He lightly raked his other sword along her forearm. It was obvious he wasn't fighting to the best of his skills, but the two were not fighting to the death, after all. As the razor sharp steel ran the length of Rashel's arm, the man's mismatched eyes linked with hers for a split moment, and she could see a deep vibrance in them that she had not seen before.

Finish off his burger and taking a drink of his soda, he looks Jade in the eyes,

"Do you really want to see him? If so, we can make a detour. We can go see him after we get the meds, which should be ready by now. You can stay there while I go see my friend, and I'll swing by later to see how things are. Or, you can just come with me. It's up to you really."

Rashel gasped. The metal was sharp and cold. She was not expecting to be hit so soon. It was more a reflex then her being scared. She knew something might happen even if it was an innocent fight. She looked quickly at her arm where she had been sliced and it was bleeding a bit. The blood ran down her arm, but was beginning to coagulate. A few drops stained her white dress. The connection they made sent shivers up her spine, she brushed it of. She smiled. Then she attacked with a force she was surprised she would do so soon, but this was different fights then most. She slashed her sword back and forth and the clanging of metal vibrated even with in her. She held her ground. She flashed her sword around the guys coat and sliced a bit of cloth off. The material flew to the ground. She jumped into the air and flew at him with her sword and hit him on the top of his head with her hilt. She laughed. She stepped back and waited for his next move.

((A little godmoddy, but it's alright. Same rules apply as if it were a war, the person being attacked posts their losses.))

The man grinned at Rashel's laugh, but remained silent. He felt slightly dazed by her hit on his head, but forced clarity into his mind. He moved forwards again, and her retaliatory strikes were easily deflected by his two swords. He pressed fowards, and aimed a swing with the flat of one of his blades at her side, followed by a stunning hit to her neck. After his attacks he moved back slightly, giving her room to recover.

"You are an excellent fighter, madame." He told her as he readied himself for her next advance.

Rashel touched her neck. That would leave a mark. It was already swelling and throbbing. She smiled again. "I had to be. I lived in a large family of boys and well look at me. I am desirable. Boys get mean when they can't get what they want. Plus, being the creature I am we are meant to be warriors." She said rather factually. "You can fight rather well also." She bowed.
Then she began her attack again. She dove under his legs, turned around and swang at him from behind. She met his swords with a force that shook her feet. She steadied her balanced and swung repeatedly and ended landing a mark on his left thigh. She backed up, taking a deep breath.

the Trasian hears a cry telepaticly from Trasa, specificly the Temple of Time, the Spirits of time are calling for help


he quickly get's up and starts to run to Trasa

Jade takes a moment to prepare her response "No I think that for the moment my father can wait." She gave Calnux a sharp smile. "I'm enjoying your company too much, and thinkt that i'd like to spend some time with you. just the Two us."

Smiling at Jades response,

"Well, I'm all done here. I'm ready when you are."

Setting the bill of 34 jagged on the table, with a 10 jagged tip, Calnux stretches his legs out, and accidently hits Jades legs.

"Sorry, not trying to play footies or anything."

Letting out a slight chuckle, he says,

"If you will excuse me for a moment, I need to step outside."

Calnux gets up of the booth, and steps outside. He opens his jacket and pulls out a Mecda, which is known to the humans as a cigeratte. While cigerattes are unhealthy for humans, Mecda's actually clear out Calnux's lungs, and cause his anti-bodies to fight harder to protect the body. Lighting it, he takes a drag. Thank to himself,

"Man, it's been a long time since I've been this comfortable around someone. Last time I felt this way was almost 120 years ago. Nikki, god I miss you. I pray Jids is taking good care of you up there. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you. I swore to you I would always be there for you. I couldn't keep my promise. I can do nothing but pray you will forgive me. Those bastards, they were after me, not you. I shouldn't have got you involved in that deal. Your father asked me not too, but you wanted to help me so badly. I'm sorry Nikki."

Taking another drag, he notices he is starting to tear up, and he hears the door opening behind him.

"If you will excuse me for a moment, I need to step outside."

Jade watched as Calnux made his way outside. Deep down she was glad that she now had a moment to herself. It would give her some time to figure out all the emotions the she was having.

From child birth she never really had any emotional to anyone. She didn't know who her parents where until she was 18, she was rasied in a state orphanage. There was no one in her life that she had every really connected with on this level.

Was this what it was like to be in love?. She wasn't sure. Her father was waiting on her, and she knew that he would be upset with her.

But deep down she knew that her fathers anger would be a small price to pay for what she was now feeling toward Calnux.

Hearing the door open, he wasn't sure if it was Jade or another person coming out of the resturant. He figured if it was Jade, she would say something to him. If it wasn't they would walk past. Hoping it was Jade, he took another drag of the mecda, waiting for the person to say something.

As Jade made her way throught the door she seen Calnux standing there.
She took a moment to glance at her watch.

"Shall we go pick up the meds?"

"Thank you, but I have not even begun to fight." The man said, suddenly dashing at her.

"I did not doubt that one." She saw his attack and saw his balance affected. She took advantage of that and stroke with speed and slashed her sword. She sliced the air several times and almost his chest. Just before she got closer to cutting him open she dropped her sword and used his shoulders as a crutch to bounce over him and when she did she grabbed his coat and it torn open in the front. She leaped over him and twisted in teh air to land infront of him. She gasped.
OOC: What did she see, describe please.

Turning around, trying to hide the mecda, he looks at Jade.

"Is it that time already? Wow, time flies when you are with someone you like. Er, I mean, when you are having fun."

Blushing, he starts to walk back towards the store. Stopping in the middle of the street, he puts his hand out for Jade, motioning for her to come along.

"Coming?"

((Cloak, not coat.))

Rashel saw nothing where she tore the cloak from the man. There was nothing there but pure darkness. He pulled the torn material back around him, and it seemed to grow and repair itself. The man brought his swords up again, both points facing towards her.

"We seem to be evenly matched, madame." He said in a calm voice.

the Trasian hears the Temple spirits returning to their song so he turns back and walks slowly back to the place he was playing his Ocarina

Rashel dropped her arms to her side and still breathed heaviely. "What just happened? Why can't I see you? If you are darkness, why do I match your skill?"

"Hm? Oh, this?" He asks her, pulling away the cloak to expose the void within. "It's a side effect of this damned cloak. It's a long story..."

The vibrance faded from his eyes, and he looked slightly sullen.

"Coming?"

As she looekd into his eyes she decided now was the moment to take the biggest chance of her life.

she casually made her way over to Calnux. Jade reached out taking his hands into hers. With that she leaned in gently put her lips to his. She closed her eye's trying to embrace the moment.

As Jade walked over to him, he noticed she was trembling slightly. As he went to ask if she was cold, her lips met his. As they stood in the middle of the road holding each other, not wanting to let go, the vechiles wanted other wise.

Not breaking the kiss they had going, Calnux picked Jade off the ground, since he stood a few inches taller then her, and carried her to the sidewalk, where he placed her on the curb. They were now even, face to face. They hadn't broken the kiss, and it didn't look like they would. He didn't want to let her go. He was so peaceful, yet filled with energy at the same time. He was happy that she had made the first mood, because he wouldn't have wanted to chance anything bad happening. He has lost one already, he couldn't lose another.

Finally, breaking the kiss, he looks at Jade, seeing she still has her eyes shut and in the position of the kiss.

"As much as I enjoyed that, and am glad you did it, I have to ask. Why?"

Waiting for her answer, he puts the hair that had fallen in front of her face behind her ears, making her even more beautiful, if that is even possible. Stroking her hands, he awaits her answer.

the Trasian climbs a Tree that can hold his weight (123 pounds) and places his ocarina to his lips and starts to play the song of time

She rest her head on his chest. "that was for being there when I needed someone"

It was as if the weight had been lifted off her shoulders. She wished that this time would stop so that this moment would never end.

She rest her head on his chest.

"That was for being there when I needed someone."

Hearing his, he gets a little emotional. People were always telling him to leave, that he was never there, and this one women is asking him to stay, saying he is there for her. That was a huge change. Calnux places one hand on the back of her head, playing with her hair, while the other is placed on her lower back.

"I'll always here for you." he says, trying to hold back the tears.

"Let's go get the meds. I would love for you to meet Soul Dan."

And with that, the two go back to the store, holding hands.

When they get in the store, the man hands him the meds, and Calnux pays the man.

"It is about a 2 hour flight to his house. Would you like to get a little sleep before we go, or do you want to sleep on the way there?" he says, giving Jade a kiss on the lips.

She lets herself be taken in by Calnux.

"I could use the rest, but we should good bye to the others before we leave."

Nodding his head, Calnux agrees.

"We should go see them. It's been a few hours...."

As they start walking, Calnux holds Jades hand, looks over and smiles.

"Everything will be ok. We have each other now."

"For some strarnge reason I know that your going to be right."

OOC: Well done, Clanux and Tappee.


IC Zephyr was simply jaw-droped at the sight of only the emptiness of the man underneath his cloak. He was watching the battle fine, but now he was starting to get worried, but he said nothing. 'How is that possible? A cloak that can do that? Wow... Is all he said to himself.

((A happy ending always makes me cry. :cry: :lol: ))

The blades retracted back under the man's wrists into the devices from which they came. He looked over at Zephyr, and then back at Rashel, noticing that she failed to resume a fighting stance.

"I assume the spar is over?" He said to Rashel.

Rashel smiled at him. She turned around and walked a bit away. Then she flipped backwards and landed an inch away from his face. She met him eye-level. She drew a small sharp steel knife and brought it up quickly to where his neck should be and said softly,"You thought wrong. You should never leave your guard down. Now what are you going to do?" She smiled again. "If I could just see your facial expression." She laughed.

the Trasian stops playing the Song of Time for a minute then continues to play

Giving Jade a little kiss, Calnux says,

"I hope so."

As they approach the bar, they see Raschel and Zephyr outside. Rashel has a knife agaisn't a mans throat. Calnux runs over and pulls the knife down from his throat.

"Rashel! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

Calnux does not succeed in his mission to move her hand. She is secure in that position. "I am just playing. It is okay." She pushes him back and stares straight at the man still waiting for him to respond.

The man brought his hand up quickly and the sword shot out from under his wrist, passing just milimeters from her neck.

"I will try to keep that in mind." He said, smiling softly.

The second sword shot out from under the man's other wrist, and he brought it up in a smooth motion, knocking Rashel's knife out of line. His smile grew more vibrant, and he flipped backwards, ending with both swords in a defensive position.

Rashel at a knife to her throat. Adreline began pumping through Jade veins. She brought her hand down toward her gun. She would be ready to draw it at a moments notice. She was ready to defend Rashel, if the need arised.

Her eye where wide looking for any threat.

"Rashel, whats going on here?"

Zephyr yelled to Jade and Clanux, "Its a free fight, with no damaging, please, Jade, remove your hand from your weapon or I will be forced to keep you and Clanux from interfering a fair fight. Do not worry." He walked over to Jade, and whispered, "Remeber, they both are not human, or I assume the man isn't as well." He walked a bit aways, and continued to watch.

Rashel looked back. Not a single look of fear or threat on her face,actually she was smiling. "Just a game." She backed up and ran quickly to her sword. "Slippery little guy." She grabbed her wooden stick that was secured to her waist. She swung it in the air in a circle. You could not see the stick it was invisible to the naked eye. She stopped and the wind picked up around them. She spun it again with more force. Then stopped. The wind was gone. She smiled feriously again. She sprung off into a sprint and planted the stick into the ground and used it to fly into the air,as she went into the air she took her stick with her and she used her wings to glide back down straight for the figure. She landed both feet flat on his chest and he fell backwards onto his back. She sat on him and grabbed another sword. This one she made sure she had a grip on. She placed in where the heart should be and bore her weight down. She stradled both her legs around him,but was flexible enough to respond if he struggled. This did not occur yet. "I see I am on top again. Literally." She laughed, a melodous laugh. "If you struggle I press harder and trust me noone has ever gotten out of this one. I do not foresee that happening, but I have been wrong with you before." She smiled at him again.

Sorry double post

Watching Rashels counter attack it was clear that she had the situation under control. In a sinlge motion she pulled her hand away from the gun, and placed her hands in the air.

"If Rashel wants to fight, so be it. I will not get in the way"

"Hmm, it appears so." The man said, returning her smile.

His eyes glowed a bright yellow for a moment, and he seemed to become consumed by shadows. Tendrils of darkness snaked up through the ground, enveloping him and then receeding. As the tendrils faded from sight, the man was no longer there, and Rashel was left sitting on the earth. The tendrils snaked up a short distance behind her, and the man rose from the midst of them. As she sprung to her feet, he gave her a coy smile. The swords came before him again, and he charged at her, sending a powerful roundhouse into her head, and he finished the spin with a strike from the flat of a blade. The cloak had changed drastically, it was now a moving, living thing, and as it whirled through the air, the screams of the damned could faintly be heard.

"What the hell?" She was surprised. Must be a trick from that damned cloak. She needed that off him right away,but how. She was distracted by her thoughts and was hit by powerful kick to her head. She was knocked back a bit, but she did not fall. She retailiated with a few punches at his upper chest. Trying to knock the air out of him. She heard the voices and began to wonder about this one. She brought on more force and flung her fists so fast they were a blurr. She struck him over and over on his face, his jaw, his stomach, and chest. She felt the contact, but he wasn't slowing down. She didn't want to lose her control, but she didn't know why he wasn't reacting. She flew over to a tree and flew back to him and dove into his stomach knocking him on the ground. She was on top of him again. She was breathing heaviely. Her hair was a mess around her face that was flushed. She smiled and asked sweetly, "So,what does it take to get you out of the cloak?" She winked at him.

Realizing he was in the wrong, Calnux steps behind Jade and hugs her, resting his chin on the top of her head.

"This should be interesting. I'm rooting for Rashel, since I don't know the other guy. He seems to have a few tricks up his sleeve though. We shall we. I'm going to go get a drink. You want anything hun?" he says, bring his face down next to hers, giving her a kiss on the cheek.

Looking over at Zephyr,

"How about you little man? You want anything?" he says with a smile.

"Your right, this should be a good fight to watch." She reached up put her her hands behind Calnux head. Gentle rubed the back of his head.

"If it's to much to ask I'd like a glass of water."

"Glass of water it is. Hey, you two fighting, want anything to drink? Eh, I shouldn't interupt them."

Turning around, Calnux goes into the bar and orders two glasses of water, then returns outside.

"Here you go love, one glass of water!" he says, handing his new found love the glass.

Zephyr began to laugh on the inside, 'O how we meet our loves'.

Rashel looked over at Zephyr and began to laugh. "I think I missed something that happened with Jade and Calnux, but whatever it looks good from this point. What have you been up to? Wanna fight to?" She winks at him and smiles. She still is ontop of the man waiting for his answer.

Laughing at what Rashel said, he answers,

"Yeah, you could say you missed something."

He looks at Jade,

"Why don't you tell them what they missed, ok hun?"

The man grinned in response, and brushed some of Rashel's hair from her face to see her better.

"I've never found a way to get out of this cloak, nor has anyone else. If you were to release me from it, I would be most grateful." He explained, slicing a long gash in the cloak. The cloak almost instantly regrew. "See?"

"Woah, me fight? No.. no.. I am a gunslinger, not, swordfighter..." He looked to Rashel, then the man and wtched as it seemed to grow back.

Rashel nodded at Zephyr. "Hmmm. I never was much into guns. I could give it a try." She looked down at the cloak, sighs and says,"Well, that will just get in the way." She grins and bursts out laughing. "Something needs to be done though. I will not know who my competator is then." She grabs the cloak and pulls it off and takes it into the air and over to a fire pit. She places it inside and watches it burn. "Maybe that will do the trick." She flys back to the group. "Want some more?"

"What they missed!" Her face instanlty went red. "Well umm"

As she looked over at Calnux who was standing beside her she realized that there was no longer anything to hide. she loved him, and he loved her back. Each of them knew what the other was feeling, there was no denying it anymore. This thought brought a smile to her face. Now they they knew, it was time for the others to know as well.

"After dinner the two of us shared a kiss" she put her arm around his waist, and rested her head on his shoulder. "it was probably on of the best experience that I've ever had"

Calnux gives Jade a little hug, a kiss, and nods in agreement.

IC: Zephyr had nothing to say, so he continued to watch everyone.

A stream of ashes flew over to the man from the fire pit, almost instantly, and surrounded the man. The cloak regrew from the ashes, still on the man. He gave the cloak a look of despondency.

"Damnit." He mumbled.

"I'm always up for more." He said to Rashel.

((Bump))

"Looks like they are having fun. Should we say goodbye now, or wait for them to finish, then leave?" he says to Jade.

"I think it best if we say goodbye now. It is a rather long trip, and I would like to be there before dark."

"Darnit. I thought maybe that would work. " She pressed both hands on his chest and growled. "Why won't it work?" She stood up and grabbed her sword and aimed it at him and said,"Waiting."

"What is your name by the way? You stay hidden in a.. Demonic cloak thing, and we help you, to find no name?" Zephyr shook his head, just realizing now that he asked for a name.

"Necromantic, actually." The man corrected. "Forgive my neligence, my name is Jyai Quill."

Jyai nodded at Rashel and, not waiting for an answer from Zephyr, lunged at her, windmilling his blades to impact in several places with the flats.

The sky was filled with reds and oranges as the sun was going down. Looking in the general direction of the sun made her eyes hurt. But it also served as a reminder that it was getting late.

"Yeah your right I think that we should get going."

Nodding in agreement,

"Yeah, we should go now. Guys, we are going to get going. We should be back tomorrow, or maybe the day after. Depends on his condition. Hope you guys have fun, and get that bloody cloak off him. It scares me."

Jyai nodded and grinned at Calnux for a moment, but was interupted by the impact of Rashel's sword upon his head.

"Ow..."

OOC: LMAO! I'm sorry. I've have a pretty shitty day, and what you just said made me burst into laughter. I can just picture a guy falling over and going, "Ow..." like in some Anime...ROFL!

Zephyr looked to the two, "Dont get to excited on your trip you two, its getting late." He smiled at the comment, and laughed.

Look back at the little man, pointing to the sky,

"You be quite, or I'll have to take you up there, and drop you."

"Hey, just a joke." Zephyr was laughing. "And dont worry, I have resources if you do."

"I was kidding also little one. We should be back shortly."

Taking a leap, Calnux spreads his wings, sending him and Jade soaring off into the redish sunset.

Her breath was taken away as the two them took to the air. She was unaccustomed to being so high up, and not being in a plane.

Jyai recovered and awaited Rashel's next move.

"Have fun now, but not too much fun." He mumbled before they left.

Doing a few loops to see if Jade would slap him, he shouted back at her and said,

"How you doing back there? About another 20 minutes and we will be there."

OOC: I got your telegram, but the password is wrong.

Jade can feel her stomach move into her throught as the they experience zero G's as they race toward the ground at the end of on of the loops.

She takes her elbow and gentelly jabs Calnux'x rib's

"I very much doubt that the people below, or you for that matter would enjoy having vomit sprade all over them. I would adivise you, no more loops"

Feeling her elbow jab into his ribs, he decided it would be best to listen. After all, women are always right. *rolls eyes*

"Yeah, I think that would be best. Mind removing your elbow now?"

Looking up, he saw Soul's house.

"There it is! We will be there in a few minutes."

Jade kind of enjoyed flighing like, minus all the loops of course. There was a kind of freedom that was envolved.

She closed her eye's for a moment, and let the wind below through her hair. she extend her arms, and pretended that it was her that was flying.

A shadowy figure enters the bar.

He's older man in early thirties, half his face is scared. his eye's are ice blue.

He takes a moment looking over every one in the bar. None of them are the person he's looking for. He quietly makes his over to the bar tender.

"Have you seen this woman" he hands his a photo.

He looks over it for some time "Sorry I can say that I seen her."

The man slides some money across the bar "How about now"

the bar tender takes the money. "She was in here a while ago. Beat some guy up who was trying to hit on her."

The man take another survey of the room "When she leave"

"She left not to long ago, with some guy"

A smile comes across the man face "Thanks"

His buisness at the bar was finished, he made his way to a car waiting outside and drove off.

Calnux loved the feeling of the wind blowing in his hair, atleast he did till Jade nearly made him puke when she put her head next to his. Scared him badly.

"God women! You trying to get us killed?! Er, sorry, didn't mean to yell. You just scared me. SO, tell me about your father? Why would you rather come with me, then see him?"

Hoping to learn a little about her family, Calnux pries into it.....

"My Father.." the question took her aback. It took her a moment or two to collect her thoughts.

"Well.. my parents were forced to give me up at birth. So I really never knew them while I was growing up. After I graduated from the academy I was approched by people claiming to be my parents." Her eye's began to water, these were painfull memories to her "After doing some research I discovered what they where telling was true."

"We spent about a 5 month together as a family. With the covert war with Iaceo my father needed people he could trust, so he asked my to go undercover and infiltrate Iaceo's operation. I worked there undercover for five years until the end of the conflict. After that I was sent to act as a Liason between Tappee, and the new Iaceo government'

She realized that this was mostly things that Calnux already knew, and that she infact was avoiding the issue.

'Well I guess what I'm trying to say is that I don't really know my Father." Her admission troubled her deeply. "I know that things that he's done, but on a personal level, I don't really know much about him all that well. Since I am his only daughter, and he fears losing me again he rather protective."

That had answered his first question.

"I was once an agent, in the thick of things, now I'm more of a politcal tool then anything else. When I'm with you I feel free and alive, something that I have not felt in a long time.

Thinking he might be in the cross fire of something going on here,

"Protective? How protective? He isn't one of those crazy dad's, is he? He isn't going to try to off me, will he? If it comes down to it, I will defend myself, and you. If you don't want to go with him, you don't have to. I'll see to it."

After saying that, Calnux speeds up a little, does a final loop, then lands on the ground, catching Jade before she hits the ground.

"Well, here we are. Now all we have to do is go inside."

He sees Jade start to take a step, and goes to follow her lead, but can't. He is frozen. He can't move. He is scared, and doesn't want to move.

Jade takes a step or two then realizes that Calnux is not following her. She turns to see him standing there frozen.

"Don't worry about my dad, he's not the crazy type." she chuckled to herself. But she realized that there was more going on here then what she knew.

"Calux, what wrong?" she takes a step forward, but decides to give him some distance "You can tell me"

Looking at Jade, he could tell she was worried about him.

"It's been a while since I've seen Soul Dan. I have this feeling he is very ill. If he is, I can't stand to see him. I know I have to go through that door, but I honestly don't think I can. Help me Jade, please."

Calnux starts crying...

The man from the bar stops infront of a resteraunt.

"This the place?" he lookes over to the woman sitting beside him.

"Yes sir, we were able to track the cell phone call to this resteraunt"

He gets out of jeep, and make his wa inside. he waits at the front desk for someone to help him. It rather busy, he might not get any information. his thoughts where interupted by the hostess who had come to see what he needed.

"Can I help you sir?"

"Yes actually you can" he pulls a photo out of his pocket, then hand it to the hostess. "Have you seen this woman?"

"Oh yeah, her and friend where in here earlier"

"You sure?" asked the man

The host noded, "Yeah her and here friend shared a kiss right infront of the store." a smile came across her face "Rather romanic if you ask me. Then the went across the street to that drug store over"

The man points over towards the store "That one over there?"

She nodes her head in agreement

"Thanks" this was best news he had all day.

She reaches out taking his hand, with her other hand she reaches up placing it gentely on the side of his face. She looks deeply onto his eye's. The two stand there for a moment.

"No matter what lays on the other side of that door, know this. I'll be there for you as you where once there for me. When ever your ready, lets go in"

Hearing that made him feel so much better.

Talking to himself,

"Finally, someone that will be there for me. I have problems too ya know? I'm always helping everyone, and I never ask for anything in return. I'm so happy I decided to stop into that bar."

Nodding, Calnux says to Jade,

"Yes, you will be, won't you? Let us go. I need to see him."

Slowly but surely, he takes a few steps, and pushes on the door. There on the bed lay Soul Dan. He looks very frail. Old. The smell of death is in the air, and Calnuxs' heart starts to beat faster.

"WHat is in this place? This can't be right. No, this can't be him."

Taking a step closer, he sees that it is indeed Soul Dan. It appears he has been laying there, dead, for quite some time. His ribs are highly visibly through his almost transparent skin. There are flies all over the place, trying to find the one warm moist part left on his body to lay their larva. When he sees what has happened, Calnux falls to the ground.

"Why must everyone leave me? Everyone I've come into contact with dies. This man was like a father to me, and now he is gone. WHY DAMNIT?! DAMN YOU JIDS!" Standing up, Calnux runs outside, and falls to his knees.

"This is part of my bloody punishment?! Is this what I get for being a coward?! IT ISN'T FAIR! You have NEVER done anything for me! I've done nothing but spread the word of your love and forgiveness, but you haven't loved nor forgiven me for past things! You Jids, are an unjust god!"

Calnux rips the holy pendent of Jids off his neck, spits on it, and sends it soaring through the sky.

He turns around and sees Jade. He just falls to the ground and cries....

Jade runs after Calnux. she kneels down beside him, taking him into her arms.

"It's going to be ok."

Across town the Shadow man makes his way across the street, and into the drug store, this time he's followed by the woman from the Jeep.

Quickly he makes his way to the back of the store. Since it was the end of the day there weren't many people in the store. he stops in front of the pharamist. "Have you seen this woman" he hands the mand the photo that he has shown all the others.

"Why yes, she was in here to get some medication."

The man demeanor chance. "Can you tell the address for the medication"

The pharamist shakes his head "I'm affriad I can't patient priv.."

The shadow man does not allow him to finish his words. he reaches over the counter grabbing the man by the shirt. He pulls him out from behind the counter, and throws in him to a display.

The commotion causes the people in the store to wounder what is happing and they turn their attention to the back of the floor. The woman who was with him pulls a gun, and fires a single round into the roof. everyone drops to the floor.

The shadow man walks over to the pharamist who lays still on the ground, he steps on the mans chest pinning him in position. He draw a gun of his own, pointing at the man head.

"Now I'm in a hurry, so I'm going to count to five, and if you don't tell me what I want to know, I'll kill ok. one, two"

"Ok" yells the pharamist "The information you want is in a bin located behind the counter.

The shadow man node to his companion whi rushes behind the counter grabbing what they came for.

"Got it lets go, we're running out time"

Looking at Jade, with the tears streaming down his face,

"What is going to be ok? I can't be around anyone. You shouldn't be here now. You will get hurt if you are around me. I love you too much to see you get hurt. Why doesn't he just take me instead of hurting other people also?"

Calnux stands, walks into Soul Dans house, and picks up his body off the bed. The odor fills his nostrols, but he doesn't care. Carrying the body outside, be begins to dig a grave. When the grave is finished, he wraps Soul Dan in Juklas, the dress of death, and places him in the grave. He says a little pray to Jids, and places the earth back in the hole. He craves a few words into a slab of stone, and places it at the head of the grave.

"I guess there was no need for these, huh?" he says, tossing the meds to the side.

"When I first came here, Soul Dan asked if I wanted to rob him. I said I didn't want to hurt anyone, and he told me I would hurt people in my future. He told me that no matter where I went, someone would end up getting hurt. I was only 38, which is about the same as 8 human years, and I was scared, so I ran from him. I came back a few days later, and asked him what he meant. He told me that I had "The Tirfing". I didn't understand at the time what he meant. I understand that now. My pendent, the one my father gave me, was cursed by a man named Tirfer. Tirfer was the leader of the men that killed my village. He was also Soul Dans brother."

Taking a break for a moment, he breathes deeply....

The two stand there in silence for a moment. She was not sure what she should say to him. There where no words that Jade could think of that would ease his pain, all she could do now was to be there for him.

“Calnux I’m no stranger to danger. In fact that is part of the life that I lead. Death can come for me at any moment, but I’m not afraid. However, I’m afraid of losing you, to me that is a fate worse then death. My time on this planet is limited, so I might as well enjoy it while I can. I will not leave you.”

Out of the corner of her eye she saw a car come around the corner. Normally should wouldn’t have paid much attention, but the car had come around the corner a great speed, which had caused it’s tires to squeal. Her gut told her that some thing was wrong.

She looked over to see two women sitting in the car, a look of horror came across her face when she saw the passenger pull a weapon and point in their direction.

“Get down!” with all her strength she reached out for Calnux, and pulled him down. The two rolled behind some rocks for cover. The area was riddled by gunfire.

Jade could hear the car accelerate in an attempt to get away. She looked over the rock to see the car heading down the street. There was no way that she was going to let them get away that easy. She drew her gun, she could feel a sharp pain in her left arm, but for the moment ignored it.

Levelling the gun her target she fire a number of rounds into the back of the car. The car swerved suddenly crashing into a light pole and flipping on its roof.

Jade slowly took a few steps toward the car. The passenger climbed out her door and brought her gun to bare on Jade. Without hesitation Jade unleashed a hail of bullet in her direction, she was killed almost instantly, but not before she herself was able to get off a round.

The impact caused Jade to take step back or two. She dropped to her knees, and then collapsed to the ground fighting for breath.

Seeing Jade fall, he knew something was wrong. He ran over beside her, and saw the blood. Calnux kneeled by her side, holding her in his arms.

"Let me see the wound."

Seeing the blood coming from the area of her lungs, he feared the worse. Opening her shirt, his fears came true. The bullet had gone into her left lung. The blood was filling her lungs. Knowing she didn't have much time, Calnux started crying, saying.

"W...Why did you d...d....do that? Why? It's looks p....pr...retty bad, but if I can get you to a h......hospital, you will be ok. Uhhh, ummm, yeah, you will......you will be ok. We....I've...I've got to....got to get you there."

Calnux picks her up, and flys into the sky, looking for a hospital.

"I won't let you leave me. I don't care. You can't go. I've lost too many, and I refuse to lose another. If you go, so do I."

A man sit infront of a computer watching a live feed from SAT COM. He watches in horror at the scene that unfolds infront him. Immediatly he reachs for the phone.

"Get me Susan Clrackson, there's been a situation."

Susan was reading through some paper work. She had left the office and was sitting in the courtyard, it was much more peacefull here.

Jon Anerton came running up. His face was pale. Immediatly she knew something was wrong.

"Whats wrong Anerton"

He tried to catch his breath. "There's been an attack" he Paused for a moment "Jade been hurt"

The paper that she was reading fell to the ground.

The security team waited near the plane. They had land some time ago for refeuling. Miss Allenson had decided that she want to go sight seeing and had disappeared. However, that was some time ago. Commander Clancey who was head of her security detail was getting worried.

Clancey jumped as his phone went off. He quickly reached of his phone.

"Hello"

"What!" Clancey jumped to his feet. His actions had got the attention of all his men. "When did this Happen?, do we have a SAT feed. Ok I understand"

He was going to be in trouble after all this was done. He looked over at his men, their faces full of concern.

"There's been an attack. I need three teams. Team one will accompany me to the hospital. Team Two will head to the attack site, and gather information. I want to know who did this. Mrs Clrackson is currently enroute and is expected to arrive shortly, so I need team Three to secure the airport.

Landing at the hospital entrance, he runs inside.

"Someone help me. She has been shot! HELP ME PLEASE!"

The doctors run over to see her, and put her on a stretcher. Walking next to them, he holds her hand and tells her everything will be alright.

"Don't worry love. Everything will be ok. I trust these guys. They know what they are doing."

Leaning forward and giving her a kiss on the fore head, the doctors ask him to wait in the other room, so they can work on her. Instead, he stands outside the door, so he can see what is happening. Just the, a group of men came through the doors, but none of them looked injured. Calnux knew something wasn't right, but he waited for something to happen first.

Jade looks up from the strecher to see Calnux disapear behind some doors. She was still fighting for every breath.

As the report of a pistol reached Jyai's ears, he suddenly stopped the fight, and looked Rashel in the eyes.

"Hmm...gunshot. That doesn't happen often in a town like this." He said, his tone giving away the fact he really didn't care.

the Trasian play's his ocarina unaware of the things happening around him, he continues to play his quick and happy song

"what happens here in this town?"

"This is a peaceful town, or so it seems to me. You usually don't have people getting shot out in the open in a place like this." Jyai stated. "Should we go and see what has happened, or do you wish to continue our test of skills?"

Rashel's eyes widened. She had no idea it was Jade that got shot. No matter if was someone she knew or not she needed to help. She went and to see Jade. "Jade, sweetie take deep breathes and don't think about the discomfort." She placed her hands above Jade's left lung. She closed her eyes. Rashel opened her eyes and said quietly, "There is nothing I can do. Hopefully the doctors did what they could. There was a lot of blood loss and your lungs are filled with fluid." She walked out and sat down. She never liked this. If she would have known ealier she could have done something. Now, all she can do is pray. She put her head into her hands and remained there for awhile. "Why didn't I sense this? I shouldn't have been conditioning myself with you,Jyai. Did you have any idea?"

"You cannot blame yourself." Jyai said as he walked up behind Rashel to look at Jade. "None of us had any idea this was going to happen."

The blades had disappeared into the devices under his wrists, and the cloak still remained stubbronly around him.

"I, er, apologize for my earlier uncaring words." He said, turning to Rashel. "The curse upon me often dulls my feelings. Miss, I never got the name of the excellent fighter I sparred with."

OOC hmm i seem to be lost... from my understandings, Rashel should not be ANYWHERE near jade.. but may be i read wrong? I am now confused,.... something is wrong with this picture????

"Rashel." Jyai repeated wistfully, a faint smile visible. "This cloak is necromantic, woven from the souls of the fallen, a cloak of exile. It also allows me to harness the power of the underworld, so that I can control nekröi, or 'ghosts', as the commonfolk call them. It enhances clarity of the mind, perhaps so that I might better reflect upon my misdeeds."

Rashel nodded as he explained the meaning of the coat. "I did not think that a curse would have advantages, quite ironic I might add." Rashel begins to grin, "How do you clean yourself with that on?"

"The 'advantages' only serve to seperate me further from society." He said, and glanced off to the side distractedly, but then looked back to Rashel. "For some reason, dirt cannot reach me. I am eternally clean. Perhaps as a way of neutralizing an excuse to take off the cloak."

Rashel couldn't tell, but Jyai was blushing slightly. It had been a long while since he had recieved any attention at all.

Rashel laughed. It reminded her of her young days that were so vivid at that moment. Maybe it wasn't intirely the memories, but just the emotion of being a child and innocent. With age and experience that seems to diminish. "I must get me one of those cloaks then. I never seem to be clean. I suppose I am cursed then also. Dirt is attracked to me." She winked at Jyai.

the Kyle returns to the Bar with his hood back up again, he walks up to the Bartender


Kyle:I request a Trasian Ale please

pulls out 12 Credits to pay for drink

Jyai was grateful for the laughter, it helped to lighten the otherwise dark mood of the conversation.

"Haha, please, take mine. Ah, if it were only that easy. I don't think that you're cursed by any stretch of the imagination. If anything, you're blessed." He said, smiling at her.

"That was very nice of you to say. See that cloak isn't that bad. It hasn't affected your personality."

Jyai shrugged in response.

"I guess you're right. I haven't talked to anyone for so long, I wasn't sure I was still myself." He said, his smile growing slightly. "I can't say I haven't changed, though."

Rashel smiled again. "See, that means you haven't and thus that is good. " She paused then said,"But in other ways that is not good. Change can be good depending on the situation. Change has it two sides, it is hard to find the median. I don't think there is one. Surely, you have changed with different experiences? How long have you been alive?"

"Those are wise words." Jyai said, and looked over at her. "I'm 26 years old, this cloak doesn't give me eternal life, you see."

"I see that is just too bad, but I have come to realize eternity is way too long." Rashel looks off in the distance. "I suppose with time I have come to realize this, but I still don't want to believe it."

"Oh." Jyai said, his smile fading. "That, also, is too bad. Life ultimately only seems to bring unhappiness."

He sighed.

"Why are you immortal?" He asked her curiously.

"Well, I wouldn't suppose there would be a reason for us to be here. We need things that cause unhappiness to make the other things seem so much better. We experience these things just to make us better people. We learn from our misfortunes. Yet, happiness can be a learning exerience also. Immortal. I have been this way as long as I can remember. My memory, although is faulty. That is the reason why I came here. It seemed familar and I needed to find out about myself. So much of what I was is distorted. I know how I am, but I need to know the past. Then the mistakes I made then I won't do again. I suppose the wings would give me away. I am considered an angel, but I have no idea as to why me. I am of that faith, and I know the one in my heart, but I do not know if that is what I am. See, even angels have complex things occur to them. It has always been that way. Lucifer trying to get us to go to him and our faith holding us onto what light we can. I suppose I do have some characteristics of humans, but I think that is also how we appear to humans and different species. What have you heard of us, angels? Have you ever heard of me?"

"That's one way to look at it." Jyai said, nodding as he listened to Rashel. "An interesting story. I don't know if I can help you, but I can try."

He paused for a moment as she talked about her faith, her wings, it all added up now. He just stared at her for a moment, then at her wings. He had never really looked at them before. They were beautiful wings, and hightened his wonder. Finally, he turned his gaze to the ground.

"An...angel...I see now. I had heard only the fairy tales about angels, I...I didn't think they existed. I am undeserving of your presence."

"Nonsense. Don't say that. Do not put me up on a pedistal, I am no more superior then you are. In God's eyes we are all equals. I just have different talents than you do. Besides I like sticking around humans, they remind me of my fellow angels, but with more complications, which reminds me of me. " She begins to laugh again. It was not like her to go on and on. She felt like a school girl, but she thought she never was a school girl. She laughed even harder at that thought. "So, just stories eh? Fairy tales. Wow, where has the faith gone." Not intended to be a question, but rather a statement of fact. She frowned. "And where does your faith lie in Jyai? Do you believe I am an angel?"

Jyai nodded quietly, not moving his eyes from looking at the ground.

"I'm sorry, Rashel. It's just that...raising the dead generally puts you below other people. I really have no faith, I don't know if I could maintain one. No, I'm sure my faith has died. Still, I can't deny that you certainly are divine." He said quietly.

After paying for his Drink Kyle goes and sits down in a dark Corner and draws his robes close to himself to shroud his presense, he also ajusts his Mask's Eyesight for Infared.

Rashel cocked her head at Jyai, "Raising the dead? How would that put you below people? Or even above people? You must understand God did not make certain people to be superior to others. Humans created that. God has no system that says this one is better than the other. He has no caste system. Yet, he allows humans to do such things because he has the ability to forgive and he hopes that people will learn sooner or later to cast these ideas aside and know that we are all equal. I fear that it is the later. I am not quite sure how you may think I am divine. I have made sure not to try and stand out besides the wing, but there are numerous creatures here I just assume they would think I to a different species. "

"If God lets his people do as he wishes, to destroy each other, let them become consumed in greed and arrogance, then one must question His intent, yes? If we truely are those he wishes to suceed, why does he not enlighten us now? These are the questions that have been in my mind many years now, and the lack of answers has executed my faith most cruelly. You are divine, there is no questioning it. The wings are a big tipoff, but you radiate an aura of pure good, the undeniable mark of an angel, or so I've been told. Your beauty, too, is not of this world." Jyai explained, speaking softly.

God, does not want his people to fail. He gives them choices. That alone they can chose to follow his way the light or the dark way of the devil. Humans have the greatest gift and that is of choice. Imagine not having that freedom. Angels aren't given that we are here to serve him and to assist in his little creatures that they are guided in the right way, but in the long run it is their choice. As for the last comment thanks, but beautiy is just a virtue. Merely, a perspective. Besides eyesight can blind what is really there. I am not saying I am ugly, that would be a lie, but our own perseptions make us see things in a different aspect."

"Choice..." He murmured to himself. "Yes, I think I understand more fully now. Thank you, Rashel, thank you for bringing the facts right in front of me to my attention. Perhaps I cannot totally confide my faith in such a God, but you are correct. I do have a choice."

He smiled a genuine smile, and looked over at Rashel, their eyes meeting again.

"Sure. God doesn't want people to be forced to have faith. He wants it to occur naturally and with all their heart. Sooner or later people come around and sometimes they just don't. What makes you not have faith? I just can't see my existence without it."

"Everything that has happened to me has made me believe that there is no hope for me." Jyai explained, looking out at the horizon. "That there is no one watching over me, to guide me in the right direction."

Rashel patted his hand. "If you do not have hope I shall give you mine. I just wonder if you have dreams?"

Jyai smiled at her briefly before responding.

"Yes, occasionally. They are the only place where anything is right anymore." He told her.

"Good. Hold onto those dreams." She frowned and said, "I was told once that if someone does not have hopes and dreams, well, they just aren't alive. They can be physically there, but mentally and spiritually they are not." She smiles again and pulls him forward and embraces him. "Therefore, I am happy you have dreams."

Jyai smiled and said simply, "I will."

As Rashel embraced him, he put his arms around her as well, glad for her comforting gesture. The aura of cold apathy still hung around him, but Rashel had apparently found a weak spot in that shield. He smiled warmly to himself, and his mismatched eyes glimmered slightly.

She pulls back, but still remains very close. She looks deeply into his cloak. Still not able to see him, which is fine his personality shown forth light, but it was still mixed with dark. She furrowed her brow and asked,"Can you tell me of your dreams? Are they affected by the cloak because I think I can fix that. In fact I will now even if they are not affected." She leaned forward and kissed him where his forehead was.

OOC: Can Rashel feel is forehead or is it just air? I am alittle confused by the cloak. Can I see him yet> or does he still remain hidden to Rashel?

((Yeah, she can feel his forehead, and the rest of his body. It is just seemingly not there. And no, she can't seem him, other from his eyes and a sliver of his smile.))

"Well yes, it does, I guess." Jyai told her tentatively. "The dreams I have most often vary widely. Sometimes I will dream of when I was first forced to don this cloak, they put it over me, and everything becomes black, and all I can think about is the insane laughter all around me, coming from the cloak, it seems, as if it enjoys tormenting me. Finally the laughter becomes too intense and I'll wake up right before something...big...comes. Other times I'll have glimpses of my life from what seems like ages ago, of my friends, my family, but the cloak is always there, ready to take it all away."

He paused for a moment before going on.

"Sometimes I dream of an angel...you."

"Well, that can help. The light will always chase away the dark. The dark will hide in the corners and in shadows, but it should be weakened for you are touched now with light. I cannot know what you are going through, but I can imagine and that takes a strong will to overcome that. You should be proud of yourself. I am proud of you." She pauses because now she begins to blush. An angel blushing quite odd. "You dream of me? And what do these visions show?" She licks her lips even though they are still moist and hot from his forehead.

"Yes, thank you." Jyai said, smiling slightly.

When Rashel blushed, his smile became more amused.

"Yeah, I've dreamt about you occasionally for...a few years, I guess. I never knew who you were or what you were there for until now, though. Sorry, but my dreams are rarely tangible, so I never really dream about anything concrete. But you're there." He told her.

"Ahh! I see then. We play hard to get. Abstract is always mroe interesting than concerte. I can understand that it would be hard to remember. It is just that there must be a reason I was in your dreams, or why you had envisioned me. When an angel is seen in a dream they is a purpose behind it. Knowing what it is that is the hard part, especially if I don't remember being in them."

"Interesting." He said, still feeling slightly unreal.

Rashel laughed, "That is all you have to say?"

Jyai blushed slightly, though Rashel couldn't see it.

"Yeah." He said truthfully. "It's kinda above my head, if you know what I mean."

Rashel cocks her head at him, "No, I do not know what you mean. Why do you not know what your dreams are? You do not know what inspires you to go on? If I were human it might be my faith or a love or family or something like that. Now, do you understand? Dreams like that do have meaning, but I can understand why you may not entirely understand them, but it is quite odd you don't remember them, especially when an angel is involved. Angels are not meant to be forgotten." She had a puzzled look on her face, but she still smiled.
