Well, if they hadn't purged them, I'm sure you could see for yourself. As it stands however ... *shrugs* Looks like not.
When I first started, I started RPing at least on a small scale the first day. It was regional forum stuff - moving to Mars, setting up infrastructure, etc. I would imagine many of the creative people who started did the same thing.
It just expanded from there at least for me, and I would assume it did for others as well.

I don't remember for sure, but I can narrow it down to a group, at least.
The earliest posts were mainly polls related to the nations. You know, "What's your national animal?", "Where's your capital?", "Does your society have <whatever>?", that sort of thing. People replied to these by the dozens, and soon began replying to the replies. Not really plot-based RP as such, but RP. Now, among these threads was a "Describe Your Nation's Leader(s)" thread, which probably did more than anything else for shifting to IC RP...
I think that thread was started by Demoness. At any rate, she was definitely one of the earliest RPers. Other early ones included myself, Raevyn, Motavia, Meganekkonia, Darkskye, Akbar, and doubtless a couple of others I've forgotten. Pure Evil and Menelmacar showed up around the end of that period, once things had begun to stablize. (ObGeezer: And it's all been downhill since. 8) )
I believe the first RPed war was between Akbar and Demoness.

Hmmmm...i'm gonna have to disagree with that one. Everyone knows that Elders are Pregnant Chickens...and heres a random reason why...
If your national animal is a camel, and that camel ate some radioactive tobacco, then you might get a animal that makes cigars and stores them in a big hump on its back.
Now what has this to do with Chickens, nothing at all! Thats right! Beat that logic!
