Glider Trouble - Serious Open RP

Pablicosta
20-10-2003, 20:25
Flight 144.2, a military jet, took offf from Pablicosta City airbase at 3:15 this afternoon with a glider in tow.
The operation was an investigative one, searching for good sites for a new government project. Onboard was a crew of five investigators, one of which was Sir Frank Higgins, Surveyor in general to the government of Pablicosta.
Take of went smoothly and the jet and glider rose to a steady height at 27,000ft. From this moment on the glider began searching the landscape for suitable positions, and logging them in the computer.
Things went swimmingly for 35 minutes when one of the computer tracking systems started malfunctioning onboard. This meant that the crew nor the pilot knew where they were headed/ Thankfully the compass was still in operation and the jet began heading North again back to base.
At 4pm Controll at the air base received a message from flight 144.2 asking for help and reporting the trouble.
Then all hell broke loose, there was think fog arround Pablicosta City, and the base was completely un tracable. With no tracking systems the jet rose to an altiude of 30ft to try and get a clearer view.
At approximatly 4.25pm a small private plane circling the airport waiting to land reported that they were witnessing a man climbing along the connecting line between te glider and the jet.
At this point Operation Controller James Davies attempted to make emrgency contact with the flight but received no reply.
At 4.32pm the passenger jet again spotted the man crossing the line, but now he was sat atop the the jet harnessed to it. He was apperntly trying to get in to the Mig-31 class jet to take controll.
The following five minutes are un recordeed untill 4.38pm when two military jets pulled up beside them, dispatched by Davies ten minutes before. The jets made repeated attempts to contact the jet, and the man sitting atop the jet.
At 4.40pm the man, wearing a black jump suit and parachute pack drew a gun from his leg, a long barreled gun. He fired two shots at one of the jets following the action. One bullet pierced the undercarriage and hit some crutial landing gear, another smashed through the cockpit. Lets say the pilot didnt need to worry about is landing gear. At 4.42 him and his jet smashed into a small woodland park just outside Pablicosta City.
Seeing his team mate be hit and plummet to the ground, Commader Guy Snead pulled his jet down and away from the Mig, observing from a distance.
At 4.45pm the man fired a bullet through the cockpit of the jet he was on, smashing it into millions of pieces. The pilot was seemingly allready dead when the mysterious man took controll.
Commander of operations at Pablicosta City Air base, Geofrey Signal gave the command to destroy the jet at 4.50pm. The following jet made a manouver to fire a single missile to the jet, but systems on board malfunctioned sending the helpless pilot forward into range of the hijacked mig 31.
The mig dived down wards, smashing the glider into the top of the jet, creating a flaming ball of metal.
Again this jet and glider smashed into the ground in a suburb of Pablicosta City. So far 32 people have died, a further 4 in critical condition

After this point all radar lost track of the jet, untill 5.25 pm.
At this time, over the northern city of Falmont, the fog had cleared and radar picked up the jet, just intime to see it set on fire and fall from the sky. The stationmonitoring the jet was it by it, killing 63 people on impact. The remaining 2 people died on routé to hospital.

Our Investigation teams have examined the remains of the hijacker and found a note near by to him, apperntly dropped via parachute before the impact. It read
"This is not first nor the last attack you will see from Al Qudab. Your nation will suffer along with the world"

The note is being analyzed at our high security base in Pablicosta City.

OOC-You may send investigators to aide in the investiagtion, or provide us wit info in any way-i am restricting this rp to 5 people other than me. Thanks.
