10%!?

Except your nation's economy to be North Korea-like... Not only 10% is huge, it also cuts labor force greatly.

Not saying that you can't do it, but most people here will ignore you. Set it at most to 2% for ALL branches.

Well, I'm sorry to bring the bad news, but with a basket-case economy and a 10% draft, your nation will be flat broke within days. This is just impossible to sustain, since even the best economies can never mobilise more than 4-6%, and only for a short time.

The various percentages of each branch were representing an amount of the ten percent.
The government has decided to comprimise and set the percentage at 5% thus reducing by half all branches.

OOC: I'm new at this so thanks for the help! :)

Note: 10% is a pretty high percentage of your population to have in the military, even if you're at war. Look at it this way - that 10% is generally going to be working-age males - it's doubtful you'd want infants or senior citizens piloting your fighters. Working-age folks are going to be around 65% of your population, and let's say exactly half of them are males. Then, you've got 32.5% of your population as working males, and a third of that is in the military, out of the normal economy-producing labor pool. In other words, you've probably just eliminated a quarter of your working population (assuming plenty of stay-at-home moms.)

Also, some people might doubt that a fairly new (and poor) nation could have tactical nuclear capability.

Edit: oh well, you guys beat me to it.

OOC: And here I was, so proud that I thought of the right figures. It seems I have a lot to learn about the way things run around here. I should post a revision. Sorry about this but I'm just learning.

OOC: What would be a good population to develop nuclear capabilty at? And is there a forum for "in game" questions like this?
The Weegies

Technical Forum normally answers most people's questions, although the stickies in all RP forums normally give you a good idea of the right way to do things.

OOC: There are many sayigns abotu this, but from what I've seen, the right date is about 1 month and when you have at least a "Very Strong" economy.

And yes, this is the forum
