Overpopulation Woes.
A recent study conducted in the Holy Empire of Kecha, using Central Governmental, and Provincial Government resources, has shown the H.E.K. is badly overpopulated, our major cities are crowded, our towns are crowded, Shanty Towns are forming up around our cities from refugees, to help stem the tide of overpopulation, Immigration Laws are being strongly tightened, only people meeting certain standards will be allowed in, furthermore, we are forming the Ministry of National Purity, the job of the MNP will be to ensure that noone gets in the nation illegally, the punishment for coming in illegally, or smuggling others in, will be HARSH, another measure we are taking is to build a series of walls, and fortifications all along our coasts, to stop illegal immigrants, while this may seem harsh, consider the alternatives.

OOC: If anyone wants to rant at my ICly in here, feel free, this is the sort of thing that sparks arguments, you could talk about how I'm just being cruel and such, or a number of problems you think it could cause, etc...
We will also be conducting studies of those in the H.E.K. who don't have Citizenship, if they don't meet our criteria, they might be kicked out of the nation, not certainly, but possibly, and no, families shall not be sperated.

We would take the refugees that are thrown out. As long as you provide transportation. Vladivostok Russia is used to other cultures, for Eastern Russia has as many Koreans, Japanese, and Chinese as Russians.

We also would like to take the opportunity to propose that Conglomerate subcorps be sold contracts for aiding in the construction of such a massive project. We would take the refugees that are thrown out. As long as you provide transportation. Vladivostok Russia is used to other cultures, for Eastern Russia has as many Koreans, Japanese, and Chinese as Russians. We probably won't be able to provide transportation outside our borders, we're going to be channeling our resources with care for awhile now, to keep everything stable while the MNP sorts the people out, infuture, however, maybe we can arrange something.

Unless you have millions of people arriving every year the effect of imigrants on your population will be relatively unimportant. Perhaps it would be more efficient to offer contraception free of charge?

Hmmm... I'm not accusing Kecha of this, but a Government could say the problems of the country are from the Immigrants, and use this as an excuse to building an eleborate defense, and military for the country... It would work...

I have an idea, but it is controversial.
1. Require anyone that is unemployed, has less than a high school education, and has a family of at least 1 child and wife to report to government checkpoints on a set date. Have them bring all belongings.
2. Build planned communites for the people. Build the planned communities like military bases complete with a bank movie theater and school.
3. Give the families low cost living spaces.
4. Educate the families, give the men and women jobs and everyone a way to get a free education.
5. After everyone from the slums has been removed demolish the slums and sell the land to developers. Or plant trees.

-- If someone is immigrating to your country use this plan to ensure that every immigrant has a fair education and speaks your langague

Has your nation considered Cable Television? Give your people something to do other than add to the population? The Carver States beams underground television/movies/music to all interested parties 24/7. Right now we're halfway through our 2nd Annual Olin Howlin Film Festival.
In regards to contraception, our Health Department (their motto: "You're Sick??? Wow!") briefly considered importing contraceptive patches for the female population, but then we discovered that a steady video diet of Adam Sandler and Fran Drescher was sufficient to render the average human sterile!
