Introduction of the Kaer Loche Region

18-10-2003, 20:09
We, the Citizens of Kaer Loche, vowed to friendship and companionship, whom signed our names to the sacred place. Have vowed that our blood is thicker then all things on this "world unlike any other." Our friendships are the key to strength, and they will be defended at all costs.

The people of Kaer Loche come from the world of Utopia. We have long dominated that world by use of our Military, Magical, and Thievery forces. We are now here to flex our Diplomatic Muscles.

Kaer Loche is a region of Close friends as our mission above states. Being approximately 72 hours old we already have approximately 45 Nations involved, with more on the way. Our Universal Brother/Sisterhood consists of several hundred members, but only a small few have come to start our presence in this world. While many of us are formerly of what the Earth World calls North America, our members come from all over that world.

Kaer Loche comes from ancient languages in the Earth World and generally stands for Lake Castle.

We bring with us integrated communications that are not controlled by this world's laws (O.O.C. That would be heavy use of Instant Messengers, SMS, IRC and anything else that sends word from one person to another).

I would like to introduce myself to you. I am known as Ambassador Aggie of The Free Lands of Kaer Aggieville. As one of the original founders of the Kaer Society, I am on of the last of the original 25 provinces that make up the lands of Kaer Loche. We then started to branch out looking for friends and allies as we grew and became stronger. I have much knowledge of the world in which we come from and due to my ability to understand this world, I have also been endorsed by my fellow Kaers as our United Nations Delegate.

While our civilian population is still growing, many of us are famed for our Military Clout and are building armies to defend our great Region. To better educate you in the ways of our lands and what we have to offer I have compiled a list of notable places of interest and markets available in the Region of Kaer Loche:

The inhabitants of Kaer Loche have settled on large uninhabited landmass similar to the geographic make up of what some may know as Earth World Europe. Climates on the island range from Snowy and Mountainous to Year-round sunshine on our southern Beaches.

On it's borders lie several bodies of water. Some of the most notable bodies of water near or in our borders are: Chrill Lake in the northwest corner known for it's immense Trout population, The Darneck River which runs Northwest-Southeast through the region from Chrill Lake to the Gulf of MacFreek, The Gulf of MacFreek which lies on the southern coast, and the GeRRoZ water-way which has been constructed to bring deep-channel waterways to all parts of the region. While there are many other bodies of water around the region, these have been named for some of our ancestors.

South and East of Chrill Lake is the Gwendolyn Mountains (Gwyn Mts.). This mountainous region provides ample skiing opportunities for all Kaers. To the east of the Gwyn Mts. Lies the Aggie Prairie (I was extremely honored for the other Kaers to name this lush green prairie after me). The plains provide able grazing grounds for several of our Cheese Exporters. On the southern Border of the Aggie Prairie is the TwinkleSpring. This natural well which taps into the underground water table of the land was a huge help in creating the GeRRoZ water-way.

All along our southern coast lies the Khan Beaches. These marvelous beaches were for the most part naturally formed by the southern waters, but were helped along and beautified with several plants we brought with us from our previous world. The Charlene Trees (similar to Palm Trees) sure are beautiful in the spring time. Their bright orange fruits are extremely tasty!

While we are still discovering many of the natural resources in the region, one find of importance was Uranium. This wonderful benefit will provide us the opportunity to explore nuclear power for a mode of energy. As of now, we have no plans on developing Nuclear Weaponry while we investigate further into the past decisions of the United Nations.

A thing of note in the region of Kaer Loche is the ability for each nation to have it's own government, many of conflicting styles, but they are all still peacefully capable of working together. Do not be surprised if getting involved with one Kaer, others start coming around as well. We work together in Trade, Diplomacy, and War.

If you are interested in the specifics of any of our Nations please feel free to telegram them and I am sure they would be happy to open communications with your nations. I have compiled a partial list of contacts so you may easier contact these nations

Here are some other facts in regards to Kaer Loche.
Please not I have refrained from posting population due to our current explosive growth, and all percentages are regional averages and have large standard deviation from nation to nation.

Unfortunately, we were unable to bring this technology with us, and have doubts of finding the needed materials to recreate here.)

While we are still discovering our resources we have chosen not to fully disclose specifics of our resources, but cheese, trout, and uranium are some of our marketable goods.

Military:
Currently there is no Regional Military, but the members of Kaer Loche have been discussing this idea and to have that military placed under the control of the Kaer Loche Military Advisor (yet to be named).

Nations have the right to form their own military with the belief that Kaer Loche will be defended at all costs.

I would like to thank you for your time in reading this lengthy announcement. I hope you understand that we are here, and plan on becoming active in the affairs of this world. Do not be surprised if you see the Kaer name growing around the world. We are still developing ways to provide a constant form of communication with the rest of the world and when that come available we will inform you all.

(OOC: we are Real Life friends and have taken the Kaer Loche name. We play many games together and spend countless hours talking and being friends. We spend most of our time playing the online game Utopia, but are now coming to this game. If you look at our region, probably 80% of us have taken Kaer as part of our name because it is who we are.)

(OOC: Just hope you don't go the way of the KLA in Utopia.

It could be worse though. At least you aren't the Apocolypse Alliance :P )

(OOC: The AA.. HAHA...Yeah that is some funny stuff. No, I am an original member who helped create the Kaer Loche Alliance and member of the Kingdom of Kaer Loche in Ages 2 and 3. And this game is less about rankings and things. More about Role Play and expressing our creatiive side. But it is good to see that someone already knows who we are. You should see many familiar names if you know the KLA. And besides the KLA has long been one of the Best Alliances in the World of Utopia, and most respectable.)

While the Region of Kaer Loche still has communications with the home world and Leaders of the KLA. We have been granted the right to self government and shall have little influence coming from outside of this world.
