are my people mad or does this government system work?

this is the way it works:

at the top there is the head pug, who is the ruler of the state. as he cant make any decisions, i make all of them, in the interests of him and his state. as spymaster Of pmi, my name isnt known by anyone except regeional government heads and other ministers. there are then the ministers of the usual departments, including a representative from each major industry, then there is the senate, which is members of the public elected by the local people. there is then a national assembly, where politians take advice from local people present.

Like i said before, are my people mad or just interseted in politics and pugs?

and that IS important, but you cannot develop trade deals with more modern nations with a name like pug.
