Kecha

Yes, you read it rightly, torture has been legalized in the Holy Empire of Kecha, this has been done for the purpose of extracting information from suspected terrorists, a special unit has been formed that will specialize in torture and information extraction, this unit is called the Geber des Schmerzes, this translates into Givers of Pain, this unit is classed as a Sub-Branch of the National Guard, methods of torture that they are trained to use are classified heavily.

The Federal Republic of New York and New Jersey has used torture in the past to uncover plots against the government as well as plots against the nation as a whole. Our intelligence gathering agency the OSS would be glad to exchange tricks of the trade with counterparts from Kecha if they would like. We have developed several rather effective techniques for dealing with torture.

While I myself agree that such methods must be employed on occasion, I find it interesting that you so willingly, and so many others, felt a need to go public about it. I've found that some of the prime methods to being left alone to my own devices have been a pleasant public image, a tight-fisted control my nation and the goings on therein, and airtight spin to any unpleasantness that does happen to come to light. Why borrow trouble? There are far and away enough petty democracies hell bent on taking away the power from rightful rulers such as ourselves. I refuse to give them any more reason or access to do so.

All the same, I don't expect my methods to be those of others, and respect your decision to do as you have done. Best of luck in your endeavors, and may the cretins that have so accosted you with their so-called morality swiftly lose their taste for the hunt, and leave you to rule as you see fit.
