The dark clad mage sat at the centre of a grove, within the deepest part of the plagued forest. He could sense many creatures within the vivinity. Creatures that had never been seen by others before.

Most were so dangerous that those that encountered them didn't get a chance to see them before they died. This did not put the mage off. He had been one of the few brave enough to enter these woods. This forest was not elven, unlike almost every other forest in Khadrim.

Thor could sense movement. Something was watching him. He raised his staff as it began to illuminate the forest.

"Who goes there? Show yourself or you shall regret it."

BuMp!

"A concerned being." The figure said, his presance still hidden by the overhanging shadows of the corrupt wood. He had a deep voice, one which seemed to have control of all around it, as though all was seen and was known of before it occoured.

The mage's light cast a few ghostly shadows upon the trees, there seemed to be faces of pain within the bark, moaning in protest of the pain they where suffering. The grass was blackened and wilted through the magic used here.

he took a step forward, the silence in the air was unatural, no bird called....no, that was wrong. there where very low noises within the background.....ones of the unatural creatures in the area.

"Mage....what is the purpose of your actions?" The figure asked. He was surronded by a deep blue robe, which covered his entire body. He had his hands within the depths of the robe, and his feet could not be seen. His hood covered his face, one could not see into the depths....it had an inpentrable darkness, which only held two brown jewels which only revealed themselves for the breifest of seconds.

A hollow wind blew gently, causing the dead elaves to rustle eriely accross the ground, they sounded like bones being clattered together. The figure awaited the answer to it's question.

(OOC The figure projects a magical aura, the robe projects a rather strong aura, and it seems as though a powerful evil item of some sort is carried.)

Thor remained weary of this character..... but he sat down again.

"I could ask the same of you. You are not native to these lands. If you must know, I am searching for a man..... a man that likes places like this forest."

Thor waved his arm, indicating the gnarled trees and the strange noises.

"What...corrupt and dying places? I am no such man, few could define me as a man anymore. I am Kain Irenicus." Kain said to him, his voice resonating from within his deep blue robe, it seemed like he was looking at the floor.

"I know you are not the man I seek. This place ties in with the profession of whom I seek. Perhaps you have seen him?"

"No...I have not seen someone in days....I was wondering why this place was so...dead." Kain said quietly, as he moved his hands within his robe, the robe seemed to change colour, it seemed to grow darker. Although that might be a trick of the light...

Thor could sense the magiks flowing through Kain. He was aware of this creature's ability. You didn't spend 50 years at the mage acadamy and not learn anything.

"It is a mystery. This forest has been like this for as long as I can remember. The dragons and elves have forsaken it. It does seem to attract the dead. These woods hold the spirits of many evil natured beings. But also a few good natured. Many tormented souls also reside here. I guess you could call it a spiritual burrial ground."

Thor lay back against a tree stump, resting his staff next to him.

"So what brings you to the lands of Khadrim?"

Kain chuckled. "Odd that you should say it attracts the dead.....I am on my way to my...homeland." Kain stumbled over the word.

He did not like being assosiated with his homeland. Such a long while of trying to hide where you came from can lead to certain...instincts which can be automatic.

"Your homeland? Would you mind if I join you. My search grows frustrating and I could use a little travel."

"I...I am sorry but this journey wouldn't be for you....there is to much past for me to settle. I assure you....you do not want to come to my homeland...not now at least." Kain said sadly, he was reminded on what his Cloak had told him of the events in Velmora....civil war....Kain felt guilty for leaving Velmora, but then it faded once logic set in. They could not accept Kain as he was now.....the ruler of Velmora could not be like this. One of the many reasons why he left.

"I could however spare some time to heal this wood....you hunt the man who caused this? I could help...I hate to see this..." Kain said, even though he would see it anyway, he saw everything dying beofre his eyes, all plants, trees, mortals. All where dying before Kain's eyes, the beauty of nature which he had prized so much in the past had been robbed to his eyes. Kain admired the Seer's inginuoity to try and make his life a misary.

"As you wish. The man I hunt did not cause this, but he definately added to it. The forest never used to be this bad. He is difficult to find. He hides behind the darkness of his arts."

Thor lazily swung his staff over the blackened grass.

"I think this place could use some healing. We would need to ease some of the older spirits."

OOC: Going to bed. Cya.

"Before we proceed...let me show you what I am." Kain said quietly. The robe began to disintergrate into a simple dark blue cloak.

Kain looked at him, his true form shown. The vampire awaited his remark, wheter or not he would be prejudice against him. He ceratinly was not a normal vampire, his green-brown leathery skin and cloven hands and feet certainly where not the normal charactristics of a vampire. Kain's long white hair draped down his back, his serious face loked at Thor, awaiting his reaction.

Upon Kain's back was a powerful sword, sheved and resonating powerful evil magics. (The sword he is has in the pic)

Thor acted a little surprised, but not worried.

"You aren't an ordinary vampire. Your true form does not concern me. If you wish to help heal this forest, I will gladly accept your assistance. But I do have one question. I sense evil from that sword you carry. What is within it?"

Who do you seek? A deep voice said from an unknown source. But Kain might not be able to recognize it, though he heard it before.

OOC:It would be about time I got one of Daegor's legendary heros, Sir Xern into a quest even if he is slightly up there in years.

OOC: All are welcome.

IC: Thor was not startled by this voice, as he was used to such things occuring in his strange life.

"I seek, Marduk Nephka. He is a powerful necromancer.

Well...I'm not him... Mar said stepping out of the shadows. But I AM a necromancer....and a good one at that. *Mar had bleach blond hair that was cut short. His eyes were a deep green. His presense was stong, and immediately classified as belonging to the Shentavo family.

Sir Xern was riding along on a strong Voreni steed. Wearing battered Voreni steel armor that had survived many battes, he was a short man in his 50s but he was still going strong. He was a living legend in Daegor, a man at the center of countless heroic tales and legends but he was for a reason to deal with an old foe that had escaped him and prehaps find out what happened to Princess Lorina's sister who had dispeared. As he rode along he saw a group of people before him and called out. "Hail, it is good to see people in this dark forest. What are you doing in thiss forsaken place?"

Thor was still hidden under his deep blue cloak.

"I see. Then you have noticed the unnatural state of this forest. There is much death that does not belong here."

Sir Xern replied. "Of course if you get as old as I am, seen and been though what I have it would not be surpising. Besides I have been here a few times before but it seems worse than it is normally is."

"I have," he said, his emerald eyes flickering slightly. "What do you wish to have done though? You can do a number of things..."

Thor looked around the gathering of people.

"The main problem is Marduk Nephka. As long as he roams this forest unchallenged, it will get worse. We also need to worry about some of the spirits trapped in here."

Thor turned toward Sir Xern.

"Sir. This is my homeland and I come here often. May I introduce myself. I am Thor of the High Council of Khadrim."

Leave Marduk to me... * a voice said in Thor's mind...which apparently belonged to Mar. He looked out into the darkness. He will meet his challenge.

(ooc: out for tonight be back tommorow)

Sir Xern nodded. "And I am Sir Xern but you most likely all knew that."

"Perhaps. What brings you to the lands of Khadrim?"

"No. I have my own business to conduct with Marduk. They go far beyond this forest."

Then why have you not challenged him? He asked inquizitively. He drew his staff to his side, emerald glowing slightly at the tip. Restoration of the forest means easing of the spirits. It will take a while for such a vast area..

"He is evasive. But I am close to finding him. He is within this forest somewhere. I have had the matters of the High Council to attend to as well. I am quite busy. Restoration may take years. But once the source of evil is cut off, nature will begin the process."

"Perhaps. What brings you to the lands of Khadrim?"

"No. I have my own business to conduct with Marduk. They go far beyond this forest."

Sir Xern spoke. "An old foe that escaped me once and a possable led to what happened to Princess Lorina's sister."

"And who might this foe be? Perhaps I can assist you?"

Sir Xern spoke. "An anceint and foul undead knight called Derk Darkness bringer. I fought him and nearly destroyed him before 20 years ago but he escaped. I belive he had something to do with the dispearince of Princess Dorina, Pricess Lorina's sister."

"That is unfortunate. Perhaps he has encountered Marduk. Although I have my own agenda, if you wish, I shall offer my aid when the oppurtunity presents itself."

Kain lowered his eyes to Mar, he recognised a Shentavo when he saw one. Kain was reminded furthermore of his exile.

"It would seem that we need to find them both. Find one, you will proberbly find both." Kain said to them, he remained in the background.

I didn't come here for Marduk...nor your man either. I've come for the one whom nearly killed my sire...and her fiance. His name is Marius...while a lesser necromancer....his is of older blood than I am....I will assist you in what way possible...but this trinity may be working together...that is my suggestion on the matter anyway. Usually I have an intuitioin about things. *Kain knew that both Mar and Qui were prophets, Qui was just more directly linked with future destinies, and Mar was linked with what was about to happen*

Sir Xern spoke. "Evil is drawn to evil, I am just glad there are not any Keristi."

From the woods a slim figure came out, covered in a hooded cloak that resembles the color of the forest around.

"Not all elves had forsaken this forest, at least, one is still concerned in its protection", says a female voice from beneath the hood

Indeed the threat must be powerful to threaten Rave and Daja...

Mar: You haven't heard Kain? *he asked with a dark tone* Rave...Rave has killed Daja. He tried to....he...he was jealous of Vaughn...and he let it tear him apart. He....he tried to rape her Kain...and...she defended herself...she killed him...

Thor looked up at the new arrival.

"I had a feeling elves had been here. No elf of Khadrim is willing to found a city in these forests. But few may wander into its depths. Perhaps you have seen them?"

He turned to Kain Mar and Xern.

"I agree. These three are most likely working together. I think we can all accomplish our agendas working together."

The newcomer takes out her hood, showing a slim, pretty face, with huge, deep blue eyes, surrounded by a beautiful long, gray hair. Two pointy ears marks her elven features.

"I'm the only elf inside this forest. I came here looking for the necromancer that killed my older brother. I have been protecting the forest from other intruders, waiting for the wretched scum to show up, but I'm still waiting. By the way, my name is Arilean".

Mar looked up to the newcomer for a moment, "Mar Shentavo," he said intruducing himself. He held his staff at his side. Physically, it looked as though he could use it for combat, not necromancy.

"Well. There is at least one necromancer in this forest. Exlcluding Mar. I have tracked Marduk to this forest, he is in here. It seems we have quite a company now."

Mar: You haven't heard Kain? *he asked with a dark tone* Rave...Rave has killed Daja. He tried to....he...he was jealous of Vaughn...and he let it tear him apart. He....he tried to rape her Kain...and...she defended herself...she killed him...

Kain couldn't speak....he was too stunned for words. He had never even thought it possible.....he simply stood there dumbfounded, the idea was so uncomprehensible.

"WHAT? I.....I would not thought it possible....I mean........How could this happen?"

Azara was tired, he had walked for thirty hours nonstop... Resting his bloodstaff on the tree, he sits down intent upon resting for a while...

"We should get in there and find him before he can break havoc inside the forest", says the elven woman. "I can guide you, but this forest is kind of....unpredictable"

***In the Forest***

Suddenly Azara feels the darkness begin to enclose him... He sees a dark being step forth into the clearing. Azara, no longer tired, stands up and points his bloodstaff at the being.

"Stand aside, spawn of Hell, or I will be the last one you see..."

Mar turned to Kain. She drove him wild...come on Kain...you've seen her...makes men do the craziest things...but you see...she's never been unfaithful to Vaughn...ever...and she wasn't about to start now. Sometimes I wonder what she sees in him...and he must have thought the same thing.

Thor looked around the forest.

"I would say there has been quite a bit of damage done already."

A surge of dark energy sparked Thor's attention.

"Something is happening......."

"It's too close for my liking," Mar said, immediately turning into the darkness and into the forest, alone. His staff glowed dimly, but he stifled the glow. He could see better in the dark anyway.

"Indeed."

Thor jumped up and swung around in a fluid motion, his cloak wirling around him. He moved purposefully through the shrubs, towards the source of the dark power.

Sir Xern pulled out his sword and muttered a prayer to Dorstia the Light Lord. "Then let us go see."

***Earlier***

Azara using his bloodstaff had used his magic and tried to defend himself from the Demon, but as Azara's mana was almost used up, he was unable to defend himself with his most powerful magic. The forest surrounding the two antagonists were virtually destroyed... At the end, Azara was no match for the Demon. The Demon after tormenting Azara for a couple of hours left him to die in the clearing.

***Now***

The bloodied and battered Azara exhausted was lying on the ground when the party discovered him...

"Follow me, then", says the elf. Soon before they enter the forest, they found what looks like a corpse of a mage in the floor. "You should check him out, I guess". She pulls out a bow, aiming at the top of the trees, looking for enemies. "I'm smelling something strange. Whoever did this is still around"

Azara twitches and flips onto his back. He is very bloody. Azara opens his eyes and sees a group of people gathered around...

Mar turned to Kain. She drove him wild...come on Kain...you've seen her...makes men do the craziest things...but you see...she's never been unfaithful to Vaughn...ever...and she wasn't about to start now. Sometimes I wonder what she sees in him...and he must have thought the same thing.

I suppose your right...but, I cannot picture it. Still, I proberbly couldn't picture my current situation in the past. How...how is she? Kain asked, his voice different from his usual hard faced image, he was emotionally moved by the news.....

Kain followed the others, still in deep thought about Rave...

She's...she's...alright. By the tone in his voice, Kain knew Mar was hiding something. But if Mar was as stubborn as the rest of the Shentavos...that would remain hidden.

Please...tell me the truth....I need to know....I still owe her so much....if there was anything that I could do to redeem myself...... Kain trialed, his words already spoken, he was sure Mar would understand, as Kain looked to he floor.

(OOC can you give me any threads that I should read to find out more on all of these events about Rave?)

You may wish to ask her yourself... he said rather upbeatly as they headed deeper into the forest. They were getting close.

I don't think I could even look at her again....after what I did....I am a disgrace.

It's your choice.. *he said. It seemed he was the most easy going of the lot. Now that Daja is gone, Qui upholds your curse...can you picture Qui with wings? I sure can't... *his words provoked some thought, and were immensly incomprehensible.

"I do not understand all of these things...what exactly is Rave? I know she is an angel....a serapham, but what does that mean? I...I never had the chance to ask her....and why si Qui getting wings now?"

(OOC I understand what is going on, but obivously kain still is left in the mist)

A seraphim is the highest ranking angel. There were only four of them, one being Gabriel, one being Mephistopheles as well...Qui's always had wings...just never embraced his angelic side...; *he looked at Kain's expression. Well he was the son of an angel and a vampire...

Kain felt another new revelation...."I would have never had thought it....I knew that he had angelic blood within him.....that explains a great deal...." Kain thought back then they dueled, what weapons he was able to use.

"What of the other two? I know of....this Mephistopheles...I have faced him many times, well his minions at least...."

His chains are breaking...Azreal must face him...and soon... Mar said softly. Qui is not willing to accept his angelic nature...he wouldn't have to unless... *he trailed off and said nothing. Kain knew what he was going to say...unless it wasn't needed...to maintain the nation after She is gone...*

To accept the responcibilty....I understand....Is this destiny....irreversable? Surely....you can defy your destiny.....I have little time if it is.....Can't we do anything? Why does it have to be like this Mar...I mean....isn't it possible...? Kain trailed off, emotion filling him.

Kain was filling with frustration....this talk of Rave ineveitably dying...

I'm not sure...Qui has his prophecies...never been wrong yet...but this time, we hope he is.

I have always believed that there is destiny, but...destiny can be effected by choice. There is always choice....there is always choice... Kain said, remembering his choice with Daniella.

Not many people have the gift of choice...or the curse, whichever you perfer. If you make the right choice...then your golden, but if you make the wrong one.. *he paused for a moment.* Terrible things can happen.

Indeed.....but I fear that I have made too many wrong decisions. But there still maybe time in this world, for those people I have failed...for those things I have not accomplised....the words I have not said. Yes, the choices we make can bring terrible consequences, but I still have the choice to stand up and face those consequnces and rectify them....thank you Mar. I think.....I think now I have the strength to continue....Whatever happens.....

Kain refered to many things. He refered to the civil war in Velmora (I am currently re-doing the entire thing of that so it is far more interesting. I will T-gram you when it is happening, but it should not be for a while...). He spoke of his decison to save Daniella...yet forfiet is own family ties with the Shentavos, and to be punished by them....

Thor looked down on the bloodied mage. He then looked around the demolished part of the forest.

"There has been a great battle here. A creature not of this world was involved."

Thor closely examined the mage.

"He will die if we don't help him. Is anyone here a healer?"

Mar caught Kain's knowing glance and crouched down beside the mage. "Do much time hanging out with Seni," he laughed at Kain with a slight smile. Seni was the healer of the Academy, though most of the other teachers could..."Yes, I can heal him." He placed his hands over the wounds, and slowely, they began to close up. A bright green light surround the cuts, and sealed them. He continued to work.

"It is a iseful skill. I never learnt many healing spells back in the Acadamy. I'll be sure to do so when I get the oppurtunity."

Thor also bent down next to the mage.

"Would you care to explain what has happened here?"

Azara groans as Thor props him up against the tree.

"My name is Azara. I was passing through this dread forest, when I was attacked by a WraithDemon... When I entered this forest, my mana slowly began draining. Although, I could feel it, I didn't think much of it... When the WraithDemon attacked, I realized that it was using a very powerful Mana Leech Spell. I tried to fight him off using light magic, but as I didn't have enough mana, I lost the fight. He tortured me without end..."

With his wounds practically healed, Azara gets to his feet grasping at his BloodStaff... Azara picks up his satchel and takes out a mana elixir and drinks.

"I believe I have enough mana now to counteract the Mana Leech spell."

Azara raises his arms, and a bright flash encompasses the entire forest... Azara collapses in pain, but the Mana Leech spell was no more...

Kain watched with interest, as he saw the display of healing power. He continued to think how he would go about this in Velmora.....how he would right the wrong...

But that would be later. He wanted to conscentrate upon the preant before the future could occour.

"A WraithDemon? I have heard of nothing like this, although I may have experianced them....what was it like?" Kain asked.

"A Demon that has possessed a wraith. It has the best qualities of both... And it is practically invulnerable to most types of magic..."

"Fight fire iwth fire as they say.....I am sure we can handle it. Where did it go?"

"It is very different from normal demons. The wraith it possessed was the dispossessed body of a corrupted archangel. The WraithDemon possesses the capabilities of both light and darkness. If we unite, we may just barely defeat it..."

Kain stroked his chin. "I see....we shall see....such a powerful combination is similer to.....Nevermind. We shall defeat it, out of curiousity was there any reason why it attacked you?" Kain was unsual. He did not immediately assume that demons where evil, he liked some justification...

"I know that WraithDemon from before, when it was still the archangel, St. Gulliver... I was trained by him. He taught me many things... But he was killed by a Pit Demon... St. Gulliver refused to die and because of this he became a corrupted wraith... From then on, he began to torment the weak, until he was possessed by the Demon, the same one that had killed him..."

"A sad tale....we should move on. I cannot sense it, I am not that powerful in comparison....where is it, do you know?" Kain asked as he looked outwards.

"It flits from here and there, but it remains in this forest, somehow bounded by a curse of the Necromancer..."

Sir Xern spoke. "Evils abond in this forest, Let us hope no Keristi have shown up. This Neomancer seems to draw great evil to himself."

"All necromacy draws evil to it," Mar said in a response, arising from the crouch and straightening his back. "We're vunerable while we are working...gives other spirits a shot at us...if he's using his power...the spirits will be drawn to him."

Sir Xern nodded. "Neomancers are extremely rare in Vorena, there is to many powerful evil creatures expecally in the desert ruins and Shadow forest."

Thor pondered this intently.

"I'm sure we will find many dark creature that oppose us in this forest. It all leads back to Marduk. If we stop him, we stop all the dark creatures."

Thor stood as Azara did.

"My guess..... Marduk is in the heart of the forest. Where it is most corrupted."

Sir Xern spoke "Or near there, He may just cast his spells in a protected area at the center of the forest."

"I have seen the Necromancer, he was with the WraithDemon when it attacked... It seems that the WraithDemon has become an extension of the Necromancer... I believe that the Necromancer is slowly absorbing the WraithDemon in order to become even more powerful. We must stop him before he does so..."

Azara stretches his sore limbs out. Then muttering an incantation, Azara's tattered clothes disappears and a new bloodred robe appears in its place.

"Ah... Now that's much better..."

Mar leans back against a tree, He quickly jumps at something, then pauses for several seconds. "Marius," he said quietly to himself. Marius' presense was approaching. He was with someone though....

Thor raised his staff. He too could sense the presence of the necromancer.

"I should have brought a dragon with me on this adventure. Shall we pursue the evil ones?"

Mar: That's why we're here...isn't it? *he asked while beginning to engulf energy. The emerald atop his staff flickered and shone dimly in the darkness. He thought of his sister, Crisula, for a moment. Wondered where she had gone off to...she would have wanted to come*

"Indeed. Let us go."

Thor's staff was also producing a growing light. A deep shade of blue to match his cloak.

He swirled around and began to walk towards an arch of dead trees.

Sir Xern started slightly glowing in a protective light as he said. "Indeed let us sally forth."

"Wait... I'll provide each of you with a protective amulet to defend yourself from the WraithDemon... Using it the WraithDemon cannot hurt you significantly as long as you have mana flowing through the amulet..."

Azara takes out several Helisk Amulets and hands them out to the members of the party...

Thor looked at the bracelet.

"I am thankful for your concern, but I am in no need of this bracelet. I have faced far darker creatures without."

"As you wish..."

"The device would not work upon me. Due to my unqiye flesh, it would fail to do anything...." Kain said, as he looked into the black and white surrondings, his eyes darting for some sign of movement.

"Fine, fine, fine... Nobody needs it..." Azara in disgust puts the amulets away. "Well then, let's go find and kill that Necromancer..."

Sir Xern spoke. "Derk Darkness bringer is mine, his anceint evil will not longer stalk Daegor. I will see to that and I will find out what happened to the princess."

"Indeed."

Thor parted the dark, mangled trees with his staff as he ploughed through the deep undergrowth.

"Defeating these Necromancers will not be an easy task."

Mar coughed slightly. "Marius nearly killed Rave...I definately do not think this will be easy..." he said whispering something to himself.

Marius sat in a tree, shadowed by the leaves and the wind that was picking up. Everything was dying, and everything was going to plan. He sat perched, two fangs lay on his lower lip. He kept with the old fashions. And there sat Marius...Daja's sire.

Marduk walked out of the shadows. A cloak of shadows completely engulfing him. He appears to glide across the ashen forest floor, towards Marius.

"Soon.... This forest will be completely ours."

Kain did not hear that...he was still rather confidant. He might have rethought his entire stratagy. Kain knew of Daja's old power....if he knew that he would face his sire he would not have been so confidant....as they say, "Ignorance is bliss, yet ignorance brings death"

Mar smiled for a moment, "That is so true. Come, let's go find this son of a bitch." he walked toward the heard of the forest. His boots left an imprint on the ground as he walked. His pale skin was irredesent in the moonlight. His green eyes shifted toward his destination, and he slipped through the forest like a panther.

Marius looked toward Marduk, and smiled. He jumped down from the tree. He had dark brown hair and pale skin. His eyes were black, and they jumped out at everything that came his way. "Indeed it will be...then we shall move our hold futher...and further...and sooner or later. We will control it all."

"Agreed" Kain said, as he walked carefully through the forest with Mar.

Thor directed his bath next to Mar's

"Are there any particular details I should know about this other one?"

Thor was careful not to trample any living thing in the forest. He did not wish to contribute to the corruption and destruction of a once beautiful forest.

Marduk flashed a bone white grin, the moonlight reflecting off his fang-like teeth.

"We shall. These lands shall be under our control and death shall rule."

The shadows making up Marduk's hood flowed off his head and down onto his broad shoulders. This reveaked his jet black hair and eyes and his bleached bone skin. He looked as if he had never stood under the light of the sun.

Mar shifted uncomfortably. "Not that you would need to know this, but he is...was a sire to...a being by the name of Daja." He pretended like it was nothing, and continued on, slightly more frightened than before. But if he was frightened, he didn't show it.

Marius looked at Marduk. He chuckled to himself. "You remind me of someone," he said to him. Before he could ask to whom, Marius had answered him. "My last fledling...long time ago. Wonder if he's still alive...had to go off with that blasted angel..." he trailed of muttering to himself.

Kain snapped his head to look at Mar, the third shock for today. He kept his motuh closed, he did not want to say anything to dishearten the others..


Mar...are you insane? Are you sure we can defeat this..this monster! I mean...many of these people may die Mar, they do not know what they face! We may die ourselves, I do not objct to removing the person but..I am still a fledgling, what good can I do against an ancient! Kain said to Mar, his voice shaky and worried.

I'm not sure what good I would do Kain...I'm just not sure. Mar said as he continued on. Marius won't harm anyone once he hears my name...then he'll only maim me....I just hope my presumptions are right.

I hope for your and our sakes you are right, God I hope... Kain said to Mar quietly as he loked on, his face more troubled than it was before.

Thor could sense the tension over this topic. He decided not to intervene. His main concern was the protection of his homeland.

Marduk cackled.

"I hope he was an evil type."

His expression returned to a blank stare.

"The forces of heaven are always intervening when they are not wanted. Once we conquer this land, they are next."

Sir Xern spoke to Thor. "I would be preprared for anything, even with out the Neomancers, Derk Darkness bringer is anceint and very powerful, he will send his undead minions at us. Undead guards men who served him in life in anceint times and now doomed to serve him for enternity."

A Bone dry voice comes out of nowhere and everywhere as Derk Darkness bringer, an shadowly figure in Anceint Armor figure, spoke. "They will send their champions to try to destory us."

Thor looked back at Sir Xern.

"Indeed they will. As will Marduk. We must be extremely wary as we get closer. We have no idea what the forest could bring us."

Marduk spoke without turning around.

"Of course they will. I have plans for them, they will not defeat us."

Sir Xern replied. "Or what they have planned for people such as us. Be careful however of any of Derks minons, their very touch or that of their weapons can steal the life energy from you if you mot prepared."

Derk spoke. "Of course and theres back up plans if those fail."

"It is a dangerous business, dealing with necromancers. I would be more comfortable if Ryath were here."

"Indeed. We cannot be stopped. Our power is too great and we shall take what we deserve."

Sir Xern spoke. "I am more worried about the death knight Derk Darkness bringer, he likely has plans within plans, if we are not extremely careful we will get the others and he will get away yet again to bring down more evil apon us all."

Derk replied. "Maybe, but never get over conifent and always have mutiable excape plans."

"Marduk has never been sly. Just powerful. I'm sure with our combined efforts, we can contain them all. I can even call in some extra help if we need it."

Marduk flashed his evil grin.

"It is good to have one that thinks ahead working for our cause."

Marius laughed slightly. "Yes...extremely evil...killed so many...until that blasted angel came along. I'd do anything to get rid of her...damn seraphim. Then maybe he'd revert back to his old ways...."

I hope I'm right as well Kain... He continued on. I really do.

Kain sighed, the cold air had little effect on him. Had he ben mortal he mihgt have had a cold condensing breath. Kain noticed the change too, it was the little things whcih reminded you what you where.

Marduk's face darkened.....

"I loathe those forces of heaven. They have no right in disrupting the happenings of our world!"

Thor could now sense the presence of more than one dark force at the heart of the forest.

"There are many evils present. It seems all our foes have banded together."

Marius smiled. "I plan to cut her...bleed her dry as a matter of fact." He brushed his hand along a long sharp blade. The blade twisted and turned and reflected the moonlight. "My coven and shall do the same to all of them, and saving Daja for me." He put on a wry smile, then it faded. "Someone is coming."

Mar literally paused in mid step. "They are near. Their presence is around. Dark...and they are not alone." Mar quickly held up his creators staff, ready to attack.

Kain flexed his cloven talons with a crack and swiveled his head. This was it...He drew the Brightblade, its hollow ring going throughout the air as it always did, the demonic blade awaited the combat to come.

Silent, not saying any words, he awaited the combat, his sword in a combat stance.

Marduk's elongated ears twitched.

"There are those who have been hunting me. They would prevent our plans from occurring."

Thor paused and raised his staff, summoning power in case it was needed. After several minutes of silence he mentally spoke.

"There are at least three that I am aware of."

I sense something...I sense...blood kin of my fledgling. HE twisted his lips wickedly. Must take care of that one...

Mar feel silent as he saw too figures come into veiw. He was focused on one. "Marius."

And who are you to have the blood of my fledgling?! Who is your host...

"Ravelyn..."

The angel?

"No other," he said, raising his staff as green whips of light flew into him.

Well then my boy, *he said walking towards him.* You have met your death day.

Thor looked over at the shadowy figure of Marduk.

"Why must you continue to corrupt this fair land? You are banished from Khadrim by order of the High Council."

Marduk flashed his evil grin.

"And what makes you think that will stop me?"

Thor's face darkened.

"Well. Myself and a few dragon friends of mine are willing to make sure of this."

Marduk was disturbed at the mention of dragons as he knew he was no match for a golden dragon. He would have enough trouble dealing with Thor, but he didn't let it effect his appearance.

"We shall see."

The trees behind Marduk began to move, their darkened branches bending around to face Thor and the others.

"Sheild of Immunity!" Mar called out as the earth was blocked from reaching them. Marius and Marduk, however, could pass through...the woods would be held back, for now.

"Why must you persist in such child's play?" *he passed through the sheild effortlessly, and headed toward them.

Kain went to Mar's side, he knew of what they faced. He was afraid...but fear drove him on. He was more fearful of failure. The Brightblade ignited in ice blue flame, the eyes of the skull hilt light up.

Marduk stepped through the shield, advancing on Thor. A dark, ash bone staff appeared in Marduk's bony grasp.

Thor raised his staff at Marduk, blue power crackling around the mounted sapphire.

"I warn you necromancer. This is far beyond personal rivalry. You deal with the council now."

Derk Darkness bringer spoke in a cold bone dry voice as he came forword, his undead gaurdsmen rising from their graves. "The Legendary Sir Xern, the greatest champion of rightiousness in all of Daegor we meet again for the last time, your Heroic legend ends here, no longer will you bring down the great "Evils" of Daegor to make it a better place for the sheep. Your life ends here then the rest of these pitiful fools will die. We will not be stopped." Sir Xern spoke mockingly as he pulled out his sword. "You villains really need to fire who ever writes your speeches."

Azara stares at Marduk.

"Spawn of darkness, you shall fall to my staff!!! Pasljdka aksdjkd gfads! (*meaning Begone Evil one) I banish thee to hell!"

Azara raises his bloodstaff as he utters the last words, but the spell has no effect and Marduk grins at Azara inability to banish him. With one swipe, Azara is left under a tree groaning in pain.

Mar rasied his staff and a spirit materialized in front behind him. He looked at Marius, and Marius looked back.
"A spirit?" he raised his eyebrow. "You have to do better than that."
*the spirit materialized.*
"Thunder spirit," he said, bracing himself. "You're pathetic."

Derk Darkness bringer didn't bother replying and attacked his sword clashing agaist Sir Xern's sword and the undead men at arms, a score in all began to move forward to attack.

Marduk laughed.

"You can't banish me fool. I am no demon."

A beam of dark blue power stretched forth from Thor's staff, colliding with the cloak of Marduk. The necromancer was sent flying into a nearby tree.

Thor looked down at the necromancer.

"I am done with playing. You now deal with the strongest human mage of Khadrim. You may have been a star student..... but the games are over."

Marius was hit directly from the spirit as electricity shocked his body. He fell to the ground, and Mar smiled. "I never knew why you would ever be a match for Ravelyn...this is pathetic."
After two seconds Marius got up and brushed off his shoulder. He glared at Mar, his black eyes red with rage. "Is that all little boy?" He rushed toward Mar with amazing speed. His fist hit the side of his face, sending him twisting to the ground.

Kain sent began to chant, to cast a spell to help Mar. Blue energies began to swirl around Kain, after a few seconds, Kain released the spiraling vortex of blue energies. It had no element, the spell was a a moderately powerful one, Kain charged up another one of the same, to do a barrage.

It spiraled like a blue fireball, it had no heat only solid raw magic, a battering ram. It cascaded towards Marius, Kain was some distance away.

(OOC Bear in mind Kain has the Brightblade, so it would boost his spells a little. Obviously Marius would easily be able to deflect that spell.)

Marduk picked himself up.

"You know not what you deal with mage."

Dark clouds of energy began to wirl around Marduk, whipping his cloak against him. Once the cloud gained it size, it leapt free from Marduk and flew towards the ready figure of Thor.

Thor muttered a few incantations, causing a large sphere to suck up the dark cloud and contain the magiks.

Thor grinned in triumph. He did not notice the dark tree's outstretched branches until they took hold of him and began to squeeze the life out of his body.

Marius took the attack in full, as the energy was absorbed around him. He denied Kain of a return attack, and picked up mar by the throat, throwing him to the ground. "This is all you got? This is all that Daja could give you?"
Mar's lip was now bleeding profusly, and it did not stop. He staggered up to face Marius, only to be struck again.

Kain was filling with rage. He was being ignored, his attacks where doing nothing. He is playing with us!

Kain pointed the Brightblade towards Marius. He did not know what this mihgt do, but desperate times called for desprate measures.

The Brighblade began to charge up, black energies coiling around the blade, growing in strength. Kain held the sword, his own magic working with the sword.

The blade began became black, and crackled. The skull hilt's eyes glowed a malicous red flame and released the energy. A great wave of black energies swarmed towards Marius, going for his side to knock him away. Black creatures seem to be reaching out....Kain realised that this blow was an extention of the Brightblade, it was the inner demon coming out and striking!

(OOC Obviously the demon is not coming out, it is still within the sword. Think of it as it still attached to the sword and punching outwards. This attack is powerful, but Kain still doesn't know how to use this ability to the full so some of the power within the attack would be lost, unfocused and wasted.)

Marius turned to face these dark energy, being knocked to the ground. He slowely arose and looked toward Kain. He then looked toward Marduk. "Why do I align myself with such idiots," he said harshly, a black orb forming in his hand. "Like begets like Mr. Irenicus" The orb swirled and was sent toward him, but not as an attack, but as a diversion, something to deal with.
Mar, however, had gotten to his feet. He rushed toward Marius, in a futile attempt to strike him with his staff. He, was unsuccessful. Marius went to work on Mar again, thrashing him to no end, yet still, Mar arose, and continued on.

Kain was suprised at the force of the attack, it actually worked. Little time for celebrations, he retorted quickly.

The black orb was sent flying towards Kain. He didn't know the true nature of the spell he had never seen it before. He did a standerd dispel, his won blue energies crackling at it, trying to unweave it's construction. Little occoured. It slammed near Kain, and Kain's skin flared blue. But the orb continued on, slowly....continuing to chant the dispel Kain wokred on it, hoping that the damage had not already been done.

The black orb taunted him, as if it was laughing at him. There were no major attacks, simply grazing of the shoulders occasionally. It was like the annoying fly that no one could hit.

kain was growing frustrated. This bastard is only playing with me, taunting me so I frell up. Won't play his game.

The orb continued to circle him. Kain simple waited for the right moment...almost...almost.

He chanted, blue light within his hand, he waited until the orb came round to the perfect point....

His fist went into the orb, the blue light going into it, dispelling it from the inside. Hopefully, Kain thought that might work...

Thor screamed as the tree applied more pressure. He was not about to allow such a basic trick destroy him.

Thor summoned up a significant amount of raw energy. He could feel the power flowing through his body. Once the appropriate amount was collected, Thor unleashed the power. The energy escaped his body in a powerful outburst, blasting the tree back several metres and allowing Thor to fall to the ground.

Marduk cursed as Thor escaped. He noticed Kain destroying the orb Marius had sent and decided to provide further distraction. Marduk closed his dark eyes and began chanting in a dark monotone whilst tracing runes in the air. Within seconds a wraith composed of dark mist was flying towards Kain, intent on sucking the life out of him.

Kain was quick to feel the chilling presance of the wraith. he turned and readied his sword for the close quarter combat.

His blade crashed into it's dark weapon, Kain's arm going numb and cold. ignoring this he tried to shove the wraith off of him, but could not. Instead he was forced to go backwards. A swift swipe from the Wraiths weapon, which even touched him would cause great leeching.

Kain narrowly dodged it, and sent a white blast of energy towards the wraith's vision. It could no longer see, the bright light blinding him. But it could still sense Kain. The Wraith paused, took a step back and sensed Kain. It was very accurate still....Kain did not underestimate it.

They both continued to circle, Kain began to chant a spell, sword still raised in defence.

The wraith could sense Kain employing magiks. It carefully circled Kain, awaiting the time for attack. It's tentacles lay just out of reach.

It decided to strike as Kain had to focus more on the spell for just an instant. The wraith leapt forward, tentacles outstretched in an attempt to grasp Kain within a life leeching grip.

Kain had to do he complex part of the spell...that was wehn he was hit.

A tenticle rushed towards him, Kain attempted to parry but was not fast enough. THe edge of the sword scraped against the Wraith's tenicle, yet it prssed on even with the demonic burning.

It hit into kain's solar plexus and a feeling quite extrodinary and horrifying came over Kain. He felt his worst fears come into reality, as his body shook in terror. Yet his mind was still sharp, that inner instict to survive was still there. He slowly reached forward, he felt his soul being leeched away...

He grapped with a cloven hand onto the Wraith, he didn't know where and finsihed the spell with a word more. White light exploded into the Wraith, such a spell was deadly against the wraith, it was specific in it's construction. The Wraith dropped Kain, in shock and pain it had not felt for aeons.

Kain fell to the floor, gasping for breath his soul slowly coming back to him, yet he was deeply disturbed...the very foundries of his body had been shaken and tested. He was on the floor, when he looked up to Thor....

Azara recovers and stands up intent upon attacking Marduk.

"You are a fool, Marduk... Your life shall end now..."

Azara begins to chant in an ancient tongue, "Yaam, toaslkd asdkj danfsk... (*Meaning--Yaam, the destroyer arise...)" Slowly behind him, a dark form was taking shape...

Derek spoke as he and dozen undead soilders surrounded and attacked Sir. Xern who was barely holding them off but everytime he knocked one down or dismembered one of the undead it pulled it self back togeter and rejoined the attack. "Not so easy this time Sir Xern, I made peperations, it will take more than your blessed blade to lay low my Undead Guardsmen." He muttered something a score more undead soilder and zombies ripped themselves out ofthe ground and headed for the others. "You and your companions will die here and serve us in death."

The wraith wailed in silent pain as Kain's spell ripped apart the very fabric of it's being. Within seconds the spirit had dissipated and Kain was left alone.

Thor offered him a hand.

"You ok? I think the Paladin could use a hand."

Thor indicated the man surrounded by undead soldiers.

Marduk withdrew a dark demonic looking dagger from his cloak. In one swift swipe he made an incision on the palm of his left hand. Using the blood to draw runes in the air, Marduk began to add his summoning chants.

After weaving the correct magiks and sending his request, a beast of crimson red appeared in front of Marduk, the demonic features extremely noticable.

"Demon. I have fresh blood for you. All you must do is kill those who oppose me."

The demon grinned, displaying an arsenal of razor sharp teeth as it advanced towards Azara.

Behind Azara, the dark being, Yaam, takes form. Azara watched nonchalantly as the demon stamped towards him. As the rest of the spell did not require Azara's concentration, Azara turned his attention to the demon.

"Spawn of Hell... You will grieve the day you stepped out of your protection..."

Azara mutters a brief incantation, causing his bloodstaff to glow in a rainbow. And with a flash, a power force of Holy Energy flashes towards the demon.

OOC: Azara is buying time for Yaam, the destroyer, to take form...

In a final blow, Mar toppled to the ground, incapable of laying a finger on Marius. He looked up to see Marius' boot arrive on his stomach as he kicked him on the ground. "Come back when you're ready," he said to Mar, leaving him on the ground. He looked toward Kain for a moment, and laughed. In a flash of darkness, he was gone. He had abandoned his comrads and the forest.

This will not be the last time we meet Kain.

Thor unleashes a wave of electrical energy, forming a wall around the grinning form of Marduk.

"Stay there."

Convinced that Marduk was contained, Thor ran over to Mar and began to inspect his injuries.

"Are you alright?"

The demonic beast waved a clawed hand, erecting a shield of demonic energies to block the incoming holy attack. This demon was no mere low level. It had spell casting abilities as well as lethal combat prowess.

The beast continued to advance on Azara.

As Sir Xern held off Derek and the score lesser undead attackers attacking him, the other score of Zombies and undead men at arms reached Thor, Kain and Mar and began to attack.

Thor exploded in a wave of power, knocking several zombies back. In one fluid motion, Thor swung his staff as a thin beam of holy energy cut through the incoming zombies. The beam severed limbs and heads but the creatures did not relent.

"This is getting tedious."

He took two steps back and placed his staff in the ground. Thor began to chant in a foreign tongue whilst inscribing runes of blue energy around his staff. After a few minutes of weaving magiks and setting the spell, Thor unleashed the trap.

His staff began to pulse with a bright blue light, bolts of energy surrounded the simple stick. As the energy grew in magnitude it travelled downwards and left the staff. The zombies had no idea where the large amount of power had gone until it was too late. The ground erupted from under the zombies, a blue wall of pure energy completely incinerating the undead minions.

Kain was still upon the ground, his body and mind still recovering from the system shock of the wraith's attack. His soul was shaken to it's very foundations. Kain coughed up a small amount of blood, and shook his head trying to clear his head. His vison was blurred and had darker patches in it.

"Is..is everyone alright?" Kain asked the group as he tried to get up slowly, with the suport of his sword.

Thor looked back over to Kain.

"Things are getting hectic. Watch out for the zombies. You have to completely destroy them or they keep coming at you."

Marduk was silently gathering dark energies in an attempt to break the electrical barrier that was imprisoning him. Thor immediately noticed this and sent another wave of electrical power.

"You are not going anywhere."

Marduk felt his energy fade away as the newly added electrical power drew off him to feed the shield. He was consumed by frustration. Even though Marduk was an extremely powerful necromancer, Thor was his better.

Marduk had always dreamed of surpassing his ex-teacher, but it had never passed.

to his full height and saw the shambling corpses. Fear of these things was drowned away by fear of failing. Kain lifted his sword and with a roar he ripped one in two, it's form burning away, a god awful stench left after it.

A second corpse attacked him, his form it seemed falling onto him. Kain punched with his left hand to push it away, but not taking into account the nature of his foe, his attack was less than effective.

His cloven fist went straight through him! the undead being continued to shamble along, even though half it's guts had been ripped out of it. Kain's claw was still within the corpse. Thinking fast, Kain released falmes to the undead being.

It caught alight as the toungues of flame devoured it, the head of the zombie with its glassy eyes burning.

Kain coughed at the smell as it collapsed. His eyes watered at the smell, he could taste the decay upon his mouth. He almost retched. But he did not, as he brought his sword again into another undead being.

Mar: Just get out of here...there is no hope in me...*he said smiling as much he could, revealing his sharp fangs.* Just leave me here...I deserve what is to become of me. I shouldn't have come here in the first place.

Azara mutters a brief incantation...

"Axzkass adjk hgaas ajsdlfas (*Meaning, Bring forth the monster)."

Finishing the incantation, the dark mist, that had formed behind Azara flashes and melds into Azara. Azara straightens and began to fade from view and in his place a massive demon appears.

Azara had changed into the unredoubtable demon, Yaam, the destroyer.

The smaller demon looked up at Yaam. It was obvious that Yaam was a bigger and stronger demon, but not necessarily a smarter one.

Marduk's demon began chanting and weaving dark magiks in preperation for the battle with Yaam.

Chains wound around Mar, unseen as the darkness slipped around him. Too weak to call out, in to much pain to resist, he was taken, taken into the darkness...

Somewhere heading out of the forest, Marius said to himself, "Azrael...your day will come...and as for you Mar...you will help me bring that day into the present."

Little demon... I have killed more beings than you know... I have gazed upon the creation of negative stars and ion clusters... Your life will be extinguished early, if you do not surrender...

With a wave of his hand, Yaam created a tornado that spun towards the lesser demon.

Derek suddenly brought in 10 lesser undead knights each with 20 ancient undead guardsmen to keep the heros busy and spoke Marduk. "I belive it is time to withdraw you wouldn't you say?"

In an impressive outburst of dark energies, Marduk broke free of Thor's electric prison.

"I agree. We must leave."

Marduk backed away towards Derek.

Thor spun around to encounter the many undead opponents.

"Crap. Things just keep getting worse."

Thor passed a hand over his gemmed staff as he began to mutter incantations.

Elementas...... Pyros, Stratos, Hydros, Earthos.....

Within seconds flame and water were pouring out of Thor's staff, the heavens sent down arcs of pure lightning and the earth ripped upwards. After the spell was complete, 5 of each elemental stood before the undead enemies.

The lesser demon looked up at the massive tornado. He may be weaker than this other being, but he was still a competent spellcaster. The demon hissed at Yaam as it discharged a wave of demonic energies that dispatched the tornado.

"You shall have to do better than that!"

Derek nodded and chanted some harsh and quick in a harsh gutteral dark lanuage and soon an super natural darkness covered the battlefeild blacking out everything. Derek arranged for 5 Gaint Skeleton warriors to join the lesser undead knights and the undead gaurdsmen then activated his escape plan when Marduk reached him, opening up a escape portal he had prepared and then he stepped throught it.

Using the powers of the brimstone, Yaam forms a massive Demonic Battleaxe in his hand and raced towards the lesser demon. The Battleaxe was infused and streamed with the various magics of the different elements, fire, wood, earth, water, and wind... Yaam, five paces away from the lesser demon unleashed a massive firestorm of elemental energy, supported by holy and demonic energy, creating a power mixture of power.

The lesser demon attempted to erect a shield of darkness but was not prepared for the combination of powers. The energy ripped into him causing severe burns and knocking it back.

Marduk unleashed several shadow wraiths from a collection of crystal balls he held. Immediately he dived through the portal as the wraiths were released.

Thor cursed.

"Things aren't going our way."

He raised his staff above his head, calling several different energies into one container, his staff. The powers crackled around him as they flew towards the mounted gem at the head of his staff.

By the time several dark creatures were advancing on him, Thor was finished. He lowered his staff and pointed it at the group of dark nights, gaurdsmen and skeletons. With a quick incantation, he released the barriers holding the energies within his staff.

The power rushed forth, into the group of dark beings. It left utter devastation as the aftermarth. Any being that was so much as touched by the wave was incinerated. Thor had positioned it just right as to not destroy the forest around him.

The wave did not destroy all the dark creatures. But the odds were with his elementals again.

The portal dispeared after Marduk dived through and Sir Xern cursed. "Blast it." He began a prayer of light to the light lord as he fought the undead he couldn't see. Much of the undead had been wiped way from Thor and the others in the blast but most of the ones attacking Sir Xern were still there even though he was cuting them to pieces and steadly decreasing their numbers.

Yaam turned and raced towards Sir Xern cleaving the undead as he went.

Although the demon was severely injured, it was not dead. The beast arose and within seconds was unleashing bolts of dark purple electricity into the back of Yaam.

Thor stood back from the conflict, he needed time to recover from such a powerful attack. He let the elementals continue to fight, slowly gaining the upper hand.

Yaam fell to the ground, hurt by the lesser demon's attack. In anger, Yaam levitated into the air and began to prepare his ultimate attack...

Sir Xern finished his prayer and soon Dereks darkness was gone and the undead were thrown into confusion over the sudden brightness and he soon renews hacking them to peices.

Thor recovers and leaps back into the battle, using his staff as a club. He quickly invokes a spell that gives his staff an invisible razor edge, allowing him to hack through the undead alongside Sir Xern.

The demon could feel the power being summoned in preperation of Yaam's next attack. It knew the only way to win was to attack first. The demonic being began to summon all the energies of hell it could muster. The waves of darkness began to spin around the creature, scorching the air.

Sir Zern spoke. "This is really tedious, Derek knows this won't stop us, but it gave him and Marduk time to escape. He always has an escape plan and now we going to have to hunt them down again."

Thor nodded.

"Indeed. I think it is time we finished this. I shall call in the rest of the High Council."

Thor placed his staff in the ground, directly under a patch in the thick canopy of the forest. He muttered a few incantations, sending a beam of golden light far into the night sky.

"They shall be here soon."

Yaam, however he was concentrated on preparing his ultimate attack, was aware of the attempts by the lesser demon to summon the energy of hell. Coming up with a new idea, Yaam landed on the ground and cast the Tranquility Enchantment, putting a stop to all magical spells from occuring. Yaam then raced towards the lesser demon his clawed hands extended to finish the lesser demon off once and for all...

OOC: Tranquility causes magic spells from happening, but does not negate spells that have already been cast...

The lesser demon unleashes the magical energies but is surprised to see no effect. It realises Yaam has cast some sort of anti magic spell but cannont do anything about it.

The beast raises it's clawed arms and leaps towards Yaam.

She leaps out of her cave and heads toward the source of the signal.

Izual and Loric notice the bright beam as they emerge from the Green Heart forest.

"We must go to Thor's aid."

The dwarf and elf prepare their spells and depart.

Yaam flies into the air using his wings and swings his twin tails at the lesser demon.

The lesser demon did not expect an attack with the tails and was caught off gaurd. The tails catch the demon in the neck, severing the head from the body..

The head flew in one direction and collied with a tree whilst the body fell to the ground, spewing demonic blood.

Ryath crashed through the branches of the dead forest and landed slightly behind Thor. It seemed as though the very ground shool as Ryath landed, her massive golden dragon body standing out in a dark forest.

In an eruption of different magiks, a dwarf and an elf appear next to the dragon.

The elf was tall slender and wore a dark green tunic. He had a large bow slung over his shoulder and held an enchanted elven blade. The dwarf, short, stocky and sporting a beard down to his gut. Loric was holding a heavy looking hammer and had a large axe over his back.

Thor smiled.

"It is good to see you my friends."

Yaam finished with his task landed on the ground and began to transform. A dark mist formed behind him and quickly dissipated, leaving a bloodred figure standing. Exhausted, the figure collapsed.

Thor made his way over toward what was once Yamm.

"That was quite a show you put on. You alright?"

OOC: Yaam is gone and Azara the mage is back...

IC:

Azara staggered up, exhausted from his exertions in summoning the demon.

"Thank you, friend. Hopefully, I can recover sufficiently to fight the Necromancer once again."

Azara collapsed again, coughing up blood.

Thor muttered a few incantations as he drew runes above Azara. A bright glow illuminated the area is magiks aided Azara's body in the healing process.

Sir Xern spoke. "I am most peeved."

Thor couldn't help but grin.

"Indeed. We have some help now."

He indicated the dragon, elf and dwarf.

"These are the other members of the High Council. Ryath is the dragon, Izual the elf and Loric the dwarf."

Sir Xern bowed. "Welcome to our little hunt."

The three council members bowed in return. Ryath spoke.

"Welcome to our land. We thankyou for aiding in the thwarting of these evil doers."

Sir Xern spoke. "Yes well don't count your blessing yet, all we basically did was relocate them, Derek was expecting us. That means most likely they can pick up where they left off."

Thor grinned.

"Sir Xern. Do you know anything about the golden dragons of Khadrim?"

Sir Xern shook his head. "The only dragons I have had deal with have all been evil like the Great Wyrm, Gunxi the Great whom I slew."

Thor nodded.

"You will find no evil dragons in this land. Anyway, my friend Ryath happens to be the most powerful being in Khadrim. Dragons are very able magic users and each species has their own unqiue ability. Golden dragons are the most powerful magic users and have the ability to take whatever form they wish."

suddenly you are starteled by a bright flash which disappears as quickly as it came. The only evidence that it ever occured is the rather confused dwarf lying on her stomach dazed and weary.

Thor nodded.

"You will find no evil dragons in this land. Anyway, my friend Ryath happens to be the most powerful being in Khadrim. Dragons are very able magic users and each species has their own unqiue ability. Golden dragons are the most powerful magic users and have the ability to take whatever form they wish."

Ryath grinned, displayed her arsenal of teeth.

"Oh they won't escape. They are still in this forest and they shall not leave."

Ryath raised her mouth to the sky, unleashing a massive beam of golden light. The beam shattered into several and they all made their way to different positions on the edge of the forest. Once they hit the ground, the energy spread around the perimetre of the forest until the whole thing was engulfed by a semi-sphere of golden power.

"All we need to do is find them now."

Azara stared at the dragon. Taking a seat on the floor, Azara fingered his bloodstaff.

Thor looked around at the others.

"So. Shall we pursue the evil ones?"

"Whatever you want..."

"Ok then..... let's go."

Thor lead the others through the forest, toward the darker part of the forest.

OOC: This thread is kind of dying.... do you want to finish it quickly?

Sir Xern followed watching carefully the shadows

Ryath shrank herself so she could pass through the forest with ease. She led the others toward the darkness, where she could sense the necromancers.

The others followed, closely behind.

Azara's feet left the ground and he began to hover. Azara moved forward, following the others...

Marduk sat in the centre of the forest.

Curse that mage. He always follows me, hindering my plans. We must destroy him.

OOC:Multapost, sigh...

Derek spoke to Marduk. "Sir Xern is just as bad and worse, even without his consant foiling of my plans you your self know how many powerful among the forces of darkness he has cast down and slain, the mightest and evil dragons, Powerful Sorcerors and Neomancers and many more have all fallen to his blade. For more than 30 years to long he cast driven back and cast down the mightest of the forces of darkness driven the darkness back all across Daegor. Even if we do kill the mage, Sir Xern must die or our plans will never succed. Even greater it will bring dispair to the forces of light across Daegor if their greatest Hero and champain is laid low."

As Marduk searched the forest for the pursuers, a great fear came over him.

"No... No! It can't be them.... why them!?"

Derek spoke harshly, the undead knight becoming slightly irrtated with his neomancer companion. "What is it? Who is we?"

"I think he means us"

Thor could be seen leaning against a large oak that was full of life once again. He indicated the dragon, elf and dwarf standing behind him.

Marduk cowered.

"The High Council......."

Derek noted. "The high council, huh, more goody two shoes and with Daegor's most legendary and famed Hero as well who is still seeking me. I should be honored. Now prepare to die." Derek Gestured and scoress of Skeleton Warrors, Zombies and 20 undead knights and 40 undead specteral guardsmen rose from the ground.

Sir Xern spit. "Derek you shall not excape this time, thy evil has fouled Daegor long enough."

Azara rushed forward, his staff emitting a bright red light.

With the chant ended, a powerful blast of demonic energy blasted out racing towards the Death Knight...

Derek swatted the attack to the side with seer contempt in the motion and blasted Azara with a massive bolt of pure dark power and the woods area plunged into shadowly twilight. "Fool, you seek to use demonic power agaist me. Derek Darknessbringer, a Prince of undead, an Master of Darkness. Such power can not harm me!" He Glared at Sir Xern. "Your light god shall not save you Sir Xern or shall this high Council."

Ryath stepped forward, the ground shaking with her every step. A golden arc surrounded her as she summoned power. Arcing her mouth open, she unleashed a wave of enchanted flame, completely vapourising the undead creatures.

Izual released several orbs of elven power, they immediately began work on the forest, restoring it to life.

Thor and Loric stood at the ready, magiks flowing around them.

However, the Undead knights and the Specteral guardsmen reformed themselves, they could not be destroyed before Derek they were bound to him for all time or til his destruction. Derek glared and the forest withered and died all around them, a darkness decented again and the trees themselves nearest the group became undead and started to try to kill Sir Xern and the High Council. Sir Xern called out as he tried to make his away towards Derek through the undead. "The those remaining undead can only be destroyed with Dereks destruction as long as he exists they will come back again and again."

Derek swatted the attack to the side with seer contempt in the motion and blasted Azara with a massive bolt of pure dark power and the woods area plunged into shadowly twilight. Ryath smirked.

This one has some power. Such a pity he will soon die.

Ryath swung around, using her tail to send several undead flying into the sky, far from the forest. She faced Derek once again, he eyes a soft golden glow. As she moved forward, she crushed undead under her massive feet, not noticing the squeals.

Thor raised his staff, summoning energies for a complex spell. Power flowed around him, dragging his cloak. He emitted a dark blue glow as he prepared the spell.

Loric grinned.

"Finally some action."

He raised his enchanted hammer, lightning flowing around the head. As he struck an undead, its arm was completely crushed. The creature may not die, but it would be severely hindered.

Izual casually walked up to marduk. Marduk drew his tainted blade and lashed out at the elf. Izual withdrew his own elven blade and blocked the attack. As they struggled against eachother, Izual enscribed several runes around the necromancer. Before he could react, he was within the grasp of a massive oak. He could sense the bindings were more than just physical, he was completely trapped. Izual smiled, displaying his elven beauty.

"Your time has come necromancer."

He then withdrew a bow and notched an arrow.

Azara allowed the demon within to claim him... With a earth shattering flash, Azara transformed once again... Blowing everyone in the forest off their feet, and cracking thousand year old trees.

Out of the light, a human-shaped demon walked forth, his demonic powers like an unstoppable tsunami surrounded the forest in a blinding black light. The humanoid demon was an amalgation of the High Demon, Yaam, and Azara.

At last after twenty-three millenia, I am free... I am Hezekial. My roar brought down the walls of Jericho, my fist created the kamikaze that destroyed the Mongol invasion, and my name has brought terror to many people... Foolish mortals, cower before the might of Hezekial the Bringer of Doom, the Destroyer of Heaven...

Hezekial's power created a vortex of energy around him, forcing everyone to work to keep standing.

Foolish mortals, your doom is at hand...

Ryath looked on as the demon emerged. She was usually skeptical about demon kind. But this one seemed to be on her side.

She continued to swat undead as she made her way to Derek.

OOC: Hezekial is evil... Pure and simple. Azara couldn't control the power of Yaam, which forced the amalgation of Azara and Yaam, resulting in Hezekial... Now Hezekial is gathering energy for his battle with GOD... You guys should stop him, before he gets too powerful...

IC:

Hezekial roared, causing lightning to flash across the sky and the ground to split in half. With the roar, Hezekial grew in size and became increasingly demonic...

Mortals, tremble at my presence... Your destruction is at hand...

Sir Xern calmly made his way towards Hezekial. But the voice he spoke in was not his rising his sword. "In the name of Dorstia the Light Lord and Serveni the Shadow Queen and all the Gods, back to your prision demon. Begone!"

Derek chuckled as the dragon came at him, this would be intresting. "Its been a long time since I have corrupted a dragon, they make such intresting undead."

Ryath looked over the High Council.

"I don't know about the knight. But we are not mortals. So don't bother us."

The golden dragon continued of her path, towards the necromancer. Golden electricity flowed around the dragon. She heard the words in his mind.

"My dear necromancer. You will not corrupt me for one simple reason. You cannot. You knowledge of the arcane arts far outweighs yours and so does my ability. We do not appreciate your corruption of our fair forest."

Izual called upon several forest spirits to combat the undead as he aimed his enchanted arrow at Derek.

Loric continued to crush undead that approached him, drawing closer to Derek. Thor was not far behind, as he cast spells upon the undead, causing their limbs to randomly twitch and spasm.

OOC: Khadrim... My character has just joined the bad guys...

IC:

To the astonished onlookers, the demon Hezekial grew larger by the minute. When Sir Xern stepped forth and tried to banish him, Hezekial laughed...

Foolish mortal... Your pathetic powers cannot banish me... Your weak Gods can do me no harm... You and your species will get the death that they have so richly deserved... Muwahahahahaha...

Sir Xern merely at stared Hezekial and spoke with great power behind the voice coming out of his mouth not his own. "You are mighty but you are nothing compared to the King and lords of the Keresiti and they have been casted down and smote apon the earth. Begone back to you prison or meet thy doom."

Derek laughed. "Necromancer? I am no necromancer. I am Derek bringer of darkness, A knight of darkness and death, a Prince of the undead. I existed in Daegor before the frist elves and dragons even came to these shores and men were slaves to the Kersisti, I saw the height of the Keresiti's power and saw their fall and the rise of the new gods. Yhe mightist heros have tried and they have failed to destroy me, what gives you the foolishness to think you would fair any better."

Ryath smiled again.

"You may have been around these lands before dragons came to them, but I too have been alive since before dragons came to this land. I do not think you understand. You are in our land. We have power and advantages here beyond your comprehension. You trespass and defile our land and expect to get away with it? I think not."

Thor, Izual and Loric drew closer, until all four council members surrounded him.

Derek laughed darkly as the world plunged into yet darker shadows and the sun could no longer be seen. "Trespassing? My power is everywhere, everywhere is my home, I will make this land back into my land death and darkness like in the days of old. Darkness, evil and death know no borders nor does my power."

Izual shook his head.

"You are sadly mistaken. Much has changed since those days. This is our land and it is our responsibility. You have no right and no power over us in these lands."

The elf completed a rune, causing the forest to burst back into life, green returned in a massive scale and a slight breeze came through the resurrected lands.

However then Dereks power flared forth and everything in the forest began to wither again and the cries of animals made into undead could be heard. "Come then and try to destroy me, come and meet your doom."

Izual barely moved, except for the shaking of his head.

"You can't stop it. The land has already begun to heal this place. The planet is stronger than you."

The plants stopped withering and grew back to life at an even faster rate, a sense of peace returning to the forest once again.

Derek glared. "Fools, that is what they said about the Plains of Gereka, or as it is known now as the great Voreni desert." He powered flared again and the forest began to wither again and black poisionious liquid began began to come out of the ground withering and posioning all it touched.

OOC:Just think all the stuff that will recover including the forest with his destruction.

OOC: So are you intending for him to die? I wasn't quite sure. He may be strong, but he is facing the 4 most powerful people in the nation. It's not looking good for Derek :P

IC: Izual sighed.

"Why must you continue to taint our land?"

He waved his hand, causing the black liquid to sink back into the ground.

"Do not force us to prevent you from doing such."

OOC:He is going to be destroyed, the forest and many other places will not be healed and restored intil he is destroyed no matter how much Izual tries and its going to take all them to do it and its going to be a nasty battle but he going to be destroyed. Of course there will be something to remind the land forever that he existed. That vale is never going to be the same but your see. :)

Derek chuckled. "Surely that is not the best you can do." He didn't even wave his hand as all the trees died in the vale and the forest continued to wither and the black liqud poison began to spray into the sky like fountains agaist the will of those who tried to stop it.

"Of course not."

Izual's eyes flashed a light green as the forest pushed back the death.

Thor, Loric and Ryath flared into power, energy flowing around all three of them. In unison they stated.

"You had your chance. We shall not tolerate the defilement of our land."

Derek power flared well and the land withered again and all the plants of the vale turned to dust as the posionious liquid formed ever greater fountains and as the clearing sank into the earth slowly as his power pressed agaist theirs. "The land remembers me well, this land will never truely be yours, not while I exist and it will take more than the four of you to destroy me."

OOC: Um guys... Derek is not your main concern... Hezekial is a very, very powerful demon lord... You should take him out, before his evolution is complete...

IC:

Slowly, Hezekial began to break free of the shackles placed on him by God... Suddenly with a horrendous roar, Hezekial was free...

Tremble mortals... For the dawn of my conquest has come... The world as you know will come to an end...

Ryath was not concerned with demons, she had faced such before. With a flick of her tail she replaced the shackles and alerted the god of magic, Azgard of the situation.

All four members circled Derek, power flowing around them. They all began uttering incantations in unision, but in their own languages. All those present could feel the immense power that was been summoned and harnessed by the High Council.

"You know little of our power, and that will be your undoing."

OOC: Khadrim, a little godmodding there considering you don't know who placed the shackles...

IC:

With a slight twinge of his muscle, Hezekial broke the shackles once more. Drawing himself to his full height, Hezekial laughed at the pitiful attempts of the so-called High Council...

OOC: I didn't say they would be as powerful as whoever place them. I expected them to be broken.

IC: Loric cursed as he noticed the demon free itself of the shackles.

"Hey laddy. Can you bear with us a minute whilst we take care of this guy, then we'll get to you."

OOC:Five Civilized Nations,what your demon is going to have to deal with now is a powerful Paladin, Sir Xern who is a knight of the Dorstia the Light Lord, someone who has been concidered the greatest Hero of Daegor for over 20 years, I think he going to have his hands full expecally with Sir Xerns god coming to his aid. Hmm it seems we got two epic battles at onice, the evil Derek Darkness bringer and the high council of Khadrim and the epic hero Sir Xern with the aid of his god verus the demon Hezekial.

Sir Xern spoke as he reached the with sword drawn. "Very well demon prepare to be thrown down and smote upon the earth. Dorstia aid me."

Derek continued to strived agaist the might of the high council his power flaring even more as he sought to overwelm them with his power and smote them upon the earth then force them to serve in undeath.

OOC: Don't defeat Hezekial, because I have something else planned for him. And note, Hezekial is a very, very powerful demon...

Background information on Hezekial
Twenty-three millenia ago, Hezekial was released from his prison in the Timeless Realms, where he had languished for more than fifty millenia, after he was destroyed... As Hezekial laid waste to nation after nation, killing millions, one man stepped forth, the Dragon Lord, Obelisk Tek. In a battle on the Emerald Plains, that lasted five days and six nights, Obelisk Tek managed to defeat Hezekial. With the assistance of the venerable Golden Dragon known as Yun Ti, Obelisk banished Hezekial back to the Timeless Realms. There he has languished for twenty-three millenia.

Five years ago, a young archmage by the name of Azara Riskal disillusioned with dragonic magic, which failed him in the disastrous war between humans and orcs, Azara began his study of demonic magic. But he stumbled into this too far. Two years after he began, Azara discovered how to transform into powerful demons trapped within the Timeless Realms. One day, as he was experimenting, Azara unwittingly transformed into one of the most powerful demons in the Timeless Realms, Yaam the Destroyer. Yaam went on a rampage obliterating an entire city and killing over 29 million innocent civilians. Azara awoke two days later to find him lying in the midst of this destruction. OOC:Sir Xern can't not lose either, I need him for later and he is an extremely powerful Hero with out any aid from his god. Its unlikely Hezekial could kill him even without Dorstia coming to his aid.

The council continued to chant, the pace growing faster as more power surged around the four members. The chants grew to a deafening volume as the power began to surge and crackle, causing the ground to shake beneath everyone.

A golden sphere sat in front of Ryath, a deep blue in front of Thor, a dark green in front of Izual and a firery red before Loric. There spheres grew in size and power as the chants coninued.

Derek used even more of his power as what little of the sun was blocked out and the black poisonious fluid began to pool in the sunken vale and the forest lay in a half withered state and then he sent four powerful blasts of dark power at the high council.

The blasts simply shattered against the magical shield the council had put in place whilst performing the spell. They countered with their own surge of power, the black liquid being lifted into the air and destroyed by intense beams of energy. Eyes glowing and power surging around them, the High Council spoke.

"You cannot defeat us. We are the defenders of this land. You shall be ridden from this place."

Lightning began to strike the earth nearby as rain and thunder exploded from the sky. The ground continued to shake, opening fissures that swallowed the black liquid.

Derek Countered the black liquid shoting into again and continued pool and coming out of the fissures that were opened up. The blasts against the shields increased in strength. "Your fools do not know what you are dealing with, where ever there is light there is darkness, where ever there is life there is death, thus my power is everwhere and even if you succed in destroying me then you will never know what I did to the Voreni princess. Even if I am destroyed I will still win."
