This thread is not designed for attention, and I am more than dead serious. I will not change my mind on this matter, nor will anything anybody says change my mind. And I do not want you to pity me, or try to convince me to stay. DON'T.

If you haven't guessed, I'm leaving NS, and that's that. I will join NS2 when it comes out, but until then, screw this, I've had my fill. NS is no longer fun, and I see no point in wasting more of my life on it.

To all those that became my friends here on NS, check your TM's, your kindness will never be forgotten. It's not much, but it's something to remember me by. I'm giving away my puppets, so use them well.

As for my main nation, it shall go to the only one person, Pantera. I request, however, that Pantera never use AMF on the forums, I ask that he just keep it alive, should I somehow decide that it's worth it to come back.

Wether you respect me or not, this is my decision, and I'm not going to be like Drum Gods and make empty promises about leaving. I've run my course, and there is nothing else here that is worth staying for. Criticize me all you want, call me "baby" and "wuss" until your heart's content, but I could give a fuck less.

Exactly. I tried it for a long time before I finally left. I don't know if it improved after I left, though it either did (from the reviews you people give of others) or standards were lowered significantly. Quality was piss-poor way back in March and when I tried quality, it got lost in all the junk threads that persist still. If AMF wants to leave, it's his choice. Sometimes you just need to give up. It's just a shame that he had to.

A. I'm spending more time on NS than on my college studies, and my grades are suffering. Grades suffering means that because I'm already on acedemic probation, I may get tossed out of college. Is NS more inportant than my future?

B. I'm sick of the elitism on NS. I'm tired of feeling that just because I signed up in March that I'm somehow "inferior" to some of you that signed up before me. You are NOT better than I am in real life, and I dare you to try and say you are to my face.

C. I'm tired of putting forth effort into RPs, then get fried because the content is not something they can handle. Well first off, DON'T READ THE FREAKING THREAD, AND STOP INSULTING ME, THE PLAYER BEHIND AMF personally because of it. You don't know me, so shut your god damn mouth.

This "elitism" IMO has gone too far. Still, May/June/July nations are still seems to be treated as "inferior" nations by some of the so-called "veteran" nations.
Worse, the October and September nations are truly treated like... crap. *Sigh*

B. You've been involved in a hell of a lot more than I have, and most of the Dec/Jan/Feb nations. No one is saying that they are better than you in real life, I have no clue where you are getting this from.

If you are tired of that sort of stuff, invite people to RPs, close them, get mods to delete posts that are useless. A controlled, managable RP is infinitely better than a wide open one.

I am saying that it looks really bad when you quit all of a sudden, given your situation, without providing any real reason for it. Now that you have explained it, it is more believable, but you can't blame people for being just slightly suspicious when you say "I quit, this place sucks now", right in the middle of a losing war RP, without providing any reason for it.

There are older nations that aren't elitist, but even some that weren't originally are now becoming elitist. Eventually I think someone is going to get really, really annoyed on one side or another and start a rather vicious cycle all through NationStates. And with more and more alliances of older nations getting elitist it may very well proceed like a NationStates World War I. What I find strange is that nations that haven't poste don the Forums since February of this year are coming out and preaching how they are better, etc. If that is so, then why didn't they RP more during the "good old days"?

BTW, I left you Dark Vengeance. Some of the best fun I had was when we used our "terrorist" nations. It's all yours now.

Personally, I think we got some real potential in these new Sept/Oct nations. It's one of the main reasons I'm not leaving... well that and with alot of the bigger nations departing I can flex some muscle.

I'm not saying that AMF should stay to finish out the RP. If he feels he has to leave, then he's leaving, end of story. If it's because of school, I wholeheartedly encourage him to pursue his studies because he is a smart guy.

What I did say is that he posted "This place sucks, I quit" without giving any reasons. And given the circumstances, I, and a few others, became suspicious. He has given reasons now, and I accept the fact that he has to concentrate on school. Perhaps you should completely read before posting.
