Soviet and Mafia Plots (Open RP!)
The newly appointed Minister of Internal Security opened the report on his desk. It read what the new Democracy had been fretting about for weeks, since it's creation, a Soviet-Mafia plot.
The infant government of Vladivostok had been fearing a Soviet plot since the creation of the state just a few weeks ago. They knew they were weak, and that the Die-hard Soviets in Russia might take advantage of the new Democracy's weakness, overthrowing it, and installing a neo-Soviet Russian government.
Another problem the Democracy feared was the Russian Mafia. Vladivostok was infamous for being a stronghold for the Mafia. It was only a stronghold because of Russia's complete economic destruction. With the new Democracy's laws, businesses were flocking to Vladivostok, and the Economic situation was changing rapidly. Soon the Mafia would all but be destroyed in Vladivostok, if the former economic crisis did not return to the region.
The Minister read the report: Two men had been arrested down by a dock, at around 4 AM. One was a known Mafia Connection, the other was a Neo-Soviet, they had been overheard by a normal citizen, who worked at the docks. They were talking about a possible Soviet-Mafia alliance, so that they could together get rid of the new Democracy in Vladivostok. The dock worker called the Police, who quickly arrested the two men. Both men refused the charges of conspiracy.
The Minister sighed, the government was too weak and small to crack down on a Mafia-Soviet plot. How would the new Republic cope?
OOC: You can RP a Government agent, a Foreign Government Agent, a Neo-Soviet, or a member of the Mafia. Plot to overthrow the new Democracy, or try to crack the case, or spy on both sides from your Foreign Government's Neutral stance. If the plot actually succeeds, I make my government heads towards Socialism ( ) If it doesn't, Democracy! This should be a fun way of stopping all this hatred towards me from Socialist nations, as now they have a chance to overthrow me! :D
Sect. of Other Countries Different from Our Own walked toward the Foxxinnian President.
"Sir?"
"Yes?"
"Here." She shoved a paper towards him.
He looked over the papers.
"Interesting"he said,"Ok, send a guy over there and tell him to grab some trinkets like one of those nesting dolls and I'll see if these people are worth saving from socialism, these, these Valinstock-ism-russia-ise-men-cans."
The Sect. of Other Countries Different from Our Own walked out of the room.
Valinstock-ism-russia-ise-men-cans."
OOC: LOL!
The Tommygun felt cold in his hand.
"Man, what happened to the Minigun?"
"I prefer the old fashioned kind."
"Your loss. Y'know those Miniguns fire at-"
"I know how fast they fire."
"Well, I'm only sayin'-"
"Shut up, Viti."
"Since when can you tell me to shut up?"
"Since I'm the Russian citizen with the passports, idiot."
"Alright. But let's make this quick- I'm hungry."
"How can you be thinking about food at a time like this? We have to kill those two!"
"Why?"
"Because they're going to be tortured for information. And you know they'll talk."
"That's true."
"And do we want them to talk?"
"No."
"Good. Now let's move."
The two mobsters headed toward the recently-formed penitentiary in Vladivistok.
A SIA sniper aims at the mobster with the tommy gun and fires.
The Sect. of Countries Different from Our Own walked into the President's office with a Russian nesting doll in her hand.
"Here," she said handing him the nesting doll.
"Wow! I love these! Where did you get it!"
"Our agent got it from Vladistok Russia."
"Oh yes the Vladistok Russia-ise-icans."he say with a serious look on his face opening the first egg reveiling the next doll.
"So what do-"
"Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!" the president broke in laughing hystericly opening the next doll;he looked up,"Oh sorry."
"So what should we do?"
The president got a serious look on his face again,"We should...We should open them up and see what's inside. HA HA HA HA HA! Oh god give me a minute or two with this thing."opening the next doll.
The Sect. of Countries Different from Our Own walked out of the room.
"Emperor Cav!" The Emperor's minister came running into Cav's large office. "Two men have been arrested in Vladivostok Russia! They were part of the Soviet-Mafia plot that our intelligence agencies have been working on."
Emperor Cav had been power hungry for his empire lately, after recently acquiring Higera after a democratic coup. The Emperor thought if he could renistate Socialiam in Vladivostok Russia that it would be a good target for The Empire as well.
The Emperor thought for a minute. "Continue the plans as we've laid them out. Socialism might not completely break out in Vladivostok Russia, but hopefully we can create a large enough political party to give the democratics some big resistance in the polls."
"Yes, Your Excellency. Right away."
The Kingpriest Velorn X read a report handed to him from one of the acolytes.
"Interesting... Young one."
"Yes?"
"Send in a spy to see if this nation might be viable for a conversion by the sword for the Holy Church."
"Yes Sir."
An hour later from the Istarian National Airport, on a Commercial flight to Vladivostok Russia the spy was sent.
Shoes could be heard walking down a hall in the new Ministry Building, which was the former Soviet Pacific Fleet command building.
"So where are they?"
"Being held in that Prison-thing... You know, that old Factory, that those good Samaritans set up as a prison for our new republic."
"Oh... What can we do to make them confess...?"
"Well... There's always..."
The Minister cleared his throat. "We're not Vladivostok SSR! We're not torturing them! That would undermine every civil right this new Republic stands for!"
"Sorry... What do you suggest then...?"
"Just interrogation... Also, try the bid where you say one confessed, and then hope the other one breaks down..."
"All right. You have a nice night Minister... Be careful driving home, that Typhoon over Japan is making the roads flood out from rain up here."
"Goodnight..."
The Minister pushed open double doors, and opened his umbrella. He walked down to his black car parked out on the sidewalk. The rain poured down onto the city, as he drove off towards his home.
Meanwhile, up at the makeshift prison. A man in a dark coat walked into a room with the Mafia Connection.
"You don't need to talk anymore... That worthless neo-Soviet broke down like a baby, crying and all."
"What!?" The Mafia man looked horrified.
"He cracked. Confessed it all... Conspiracy to overthrow the government. The Soviet-Mafia Alliance, all of it!"
"He would never, as there is no Soviet-Mafia connection!"
"Who are you lying to? Yourself? he already confessed, we don't need you any longer. Guard, take him away, let him see the cell he'll live in for the rest of his life."
"Never! He wouldn't confess! This is a lie!" The guard grabbed the Mafia Member by the arm and started pulling him. "Wait! No! He wouldn't!"
"Rather rainy tonight... your cell has a drip in the roof too... So sad for you. Luckily, the Soviet is getting off for confessing... Poor you..."
"WAIT! How dare he! Fine, the Soviet's wanted us to supply arms to them, so they could overthrow the government! The Mafia had no immediate connection! I was just negotiating the Arms deal! It wasn't even an illegal deal by your new commerce laws!"
"Hehe... Thanks, your Soviet pal will be glad to know you ratted, he wouldn't even open his mouth for us..."
"What!? Nooo! NOOOOOO!"
The Mafia Member was shot right through the head suddenly. Lightening struck just nearby, the sound of the gunshot be drowned out by the thunder.
The chip implanted in the Soviet man gave the AWACS off the coast of Vladivostok Russia the precise location of the stockade where he was being held.
The Blackhawk pilots came in low to avoid any radar coverage. Their mission was to recover the Soviet agent and elminiate the Mafia man. The rain would help in their approach. The noise from the rainfall would block out the rotor noises from the helos.
The Blackhawks stopped over the roof and lines were lowered. Fifteen members of the Imperial Special Forces group dropped to the roof of the factory from each helicopter. The thirty men split up with their mission to find the Soviet man.
They weren't expecting that much resistance, and figured their mission would be a cakewalk.
Don Johnson Foxxinnian Spy walked off the Fiery Death International Jet Plane.
"Look out Soviet-Mafia people! Don Johnson is here!" he yelled pumping his fist in the air.
He stood like stone. Everyone was looking at him. He slowly side stepped away a little, stopped looked around and began to walk backwards torwards the luggage pick-up area.
At the pick-up area looking for his bag Don suddenly had a thing feeling like a gun in a pocket.
"Don't move." a voice said.
"Can I get my bag?"
"Okay."
He lent over and like lightning kicked backwards under the man's legs lifting the man on to the moving rack getting his pants caught in the mechanism soon getting ripped off as people stood laughing as the man covered himself and ran off.
"Oh yeah! Still got it" Don said picking up his bag.
"So, hows your wife?" One guard said to the other.
"Ugh... Same as always..." The other guard said sighing.
"I told you not to get marri... Did you hear something?"
A metalic noise was heard from down the hall. Both guards looked wearily down the dark passage.
One of the Cav Empire's men had accidentally knocked a small food tray, sitting outside one prisoner's door.
"It... It's nothing, probably just a prisoner disguarding his food tray..." One guard said resuringly.
Lightening struck, lighting up the hall, the figure of several men down the hall could be seen.
One guard fumbled for his radio. "Sir, there's... men here, they're not prisoners!" One Guard yelled through his radio, small arms, with silencer's on them shot the two guards. They both fell to the floor, dead.
I thought this would get more responses... Guess Soviet's fell off the face of the planet or something....
bump...
OOC: I'm back for more of this
IC: "Shit!" Thompson whispered as he kicked the food tray. The team had made its way through the halls silently, until then. They came to a hallway. "He's around this corner." Thompson took our his periscope and looked. He saw the two guards talking to each other. Gesturing his findings to the rest of the team, he motioned for half of the men to get to the other side of the hallway. As they were making their approach, lightning struck and they heard the two guards yelling into their radios.
With nothing else to do but engage, the men fired at the guards. The silenced shots were unnoticeable over the rain falling heavily on the roof.
"Sir, he reported us before we could take him down."
"Then let's move, soldier!"
Thompson took our the GPS locator. He saw that Alexandrov (the Soviet) was being held in a locked room down the hall. The men barely took their first steps when the factory's fire alarm went off. Shooting the door open, they found Alexandrov sitting up in his bed due to the commotion outside. His eyes widened when he saw the armed men, but Thompson assured him they were friendly.
Checking the Mafioso's room, they found him dead already. Works for us, Thompson thought.
As they were making their way for the door, the windows broke as tear gas was thrown into the building.
"Gas!!" Thompson yelled.
The men sucked it up and kept running for the doors. Some threw grenades out the same windows that the gas canisters had entered. They were in for a firefight when they got out of the building.
OOC: I didn't kill the Mafia guy... a sniper did...
A prison guard held his gun in his shaking hand. The men infiltrating the prison, and helping the Soviet Prisoner escape were coming down the hall towards him. The guard ducked behind a wall, and was breathing heavily. Engage the force of 15 men, or hide...?
They approached, the guard heard the windows break, and gas explode into the hall. The Guard used the chance, he stepped out into the hall, the men coughing and caught off guard, he aimed at the Soviet, who was easily identified wearing a blue T-shirt, far different from the uniformed special ops men.
His shaky hand fired once, the bullet piercing through Alexandrov's right shoulder, a second shot ripped along the skin of his neck. The Guard was then shot several times by one of the men. He fell to his knees, then flat on his face.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Internal Security was awoken by his phone ringing. "Who the hell could it be at this hour...? Hello!?"
"Sir... We have engaged Militants of a foreign power at the prison sir... they appear to be rescueing the Soviet Prisoner..." A man's voice said through the phone.
"Foreign Militants!?" The Minister nearly dropped the phone from shock. "How...?"
"A woman who lives near the prison said she saw a dark flying object that hovered over the roof of the Prison, and several men repelled from it... We're guessing helicopters..."
"Ugh... I... Turn on the old Air raid alarms... And contact Japan, see if they can track where the Helicopters originated from... See if the old strobe lights work as well..."
"Yes sir..."
The Minister Hung up the phone, and sat in darkness for several minutes. Then the howling Air Raid alarms cut through the sound of the downpour. Strobe lights lit up the sky, scanning the dark clouds, Vladivostok couldn't shoot the helicopters down, but they could at least see them, and possibly an ensignia of the foreign power they were from.
Andaman and Nicobar
18-10-2003, 08:59
Several weeks ago, North Andaman, ISAN (The Bay of Bengal)-
Tariq nodded to his accomplice "Ehy, look at this.." he called, lifting up a paper he'd just taken from the body of an ISAN Cpl. who lay dead beside his blackened and twisted Jeep. "The mob are co-operating with Soviets in Vladivostok.. could be of interest!"
"Vladiwhat?" Questioned Ernest.
"Vladivostok.. 's in east Siberia, I think. Think we should contact 'em?"
"Well if Liberation don't like 'em it might be worth it.."
Tariq and Ernest had just ambushed a government jeep in the relatively lawless far north of the Andaman and Nicobar chain. This region was supposed to be impossible to administer due to the sheer number of different criminal gangs, drugs cartels, arms smugglers, and so on. In truth Liberation, the capital of ISAN far down on Great Nicobar, was making a killing by co-operating with the biggest warlords and smugglers, but the rest had no idea this was the case. The government staged seemingly random missile strikes against militia camps- to keep up appearances before the international community, and to keep disperate warlords in line. Co-operate and we let you carry on, go behind our backs and you'll be woken by a cruise missile.
Tariq's discovery of documents related to the Vladivostok situation wouldn't bother the government. "Let them take their trouble over-seas, as long as the drugs out of the Asian mainland still pass through North Andaman, we'll still get our cut." These were President Brown's words.
He hated Soviets- ever since Beth Gellert had thwarted his expansionist plans early in his rule.
Now one of the Marxist-leaning factions in the north was sending men to Vladivostok Russia in an effort to make contact with the Soviets there. Brown didn't know it yet, but he'd have a good idea as soon as reports of the latest attack came in.
Meanwhile Tariq and Ernest had been in contact with the rest of their group, and were even now crossing into Vladivostok, cash and sidearms in tow.
Oh hell, I hope we're right about the still disorganised state of police forces here..
OOC: Tag, V.R., has your government asked for international assistance yet?
OOC: No Tiawan, not yet... although we're probably going to as soon as Cav posts...
OOC: I could have sworn more people would want to join this... I mean, it's a Soviet Vs Democracy RP! You'd think people would be jumping for joy at joining it!
A bright strobe light passed over one of the Helicopters. It turned back and settled on the dark hovering Black Hawk. The ensignia was unclear, but the light blinded the pilot.
"Has Japan responded yet?" The Minister asked through the Telephone.
"Yes... They said they came from the South... Near the Typhoon. The Typhoon is disrupting Japan's radar, so they are unable to find their original departure point..." A voice said through the phone.
The Minister sighed. "Wake up the Prime Minister... and the other Ministers... Issue a nationwide alert..."
"Yes sir..."
Meanwhile, at the Prime Minister's home, the phone rang, and someone banged on the door incessantly.
"What... who... Who is it!?" The Prime Minister said through the door, the response was drowned out by the Lightening. "Hmph! One AM in the morning..." He opened the door, two men in dark long coats, drenched in rain stood there. "Where's my bodyguard, he is supposed to check all people before they come banging on my door. And who the hell is that on the phone!" The Prime Minister picked up the phone "What!?"
"Sir, foreign militants have been engaged at the Prison. We are sending someone over to escort you to the Ministry building!"
"Didn't you already send them?" Lightening struck nearby.
"No..."
One of the men in the coats put a cloth over the Prime Minister's mouth.
"Mmhghmm!" He cried through the cloth, before collapsing to the ground, phone laying beside him.
"Sir...? SIR!?! SIR!!!!!" The voice yelled through the phone. One of the men carefully picked it up the receiver and hung up the phone.
The other man picked up the Prime Minister and put him over his shoulders. He carried him outside, passed the Dead Bodyguard laying by the door, and into a black sedan. The other man got in the car and it sped away...
OOC: International Terrorists!? The Soviet conspirators, attacking with a Plan B? Cav backed kidnappers!? Russian Mafia!? Foreign Government Agents!? Find out soon...
Funniest thing, my spell check didn't recognize 'Soviet' LOL. It wanted to replace it with "Seascape" or something. LOL!
OOC: i wil join you boys
Kisar Starchaser:have the men from our allies returned yet?
Grand Admerial Yetti:yes, they have taken the Vladivostok Prime Minister
kisar Starchaser:Excellent, inform our friends that their pay is tripled...
The Minister of Internal Security placed a pill on his tongue, and swallowed it. "Why must so many factors attack democracy... My life would be so much easier if I had just gone into Medicine like mother told me..." He said to himself as he drove down the road towards the Ministry Building.
At the Prison, one of the groups were to secure the roof for Thompson's group to evacuate from via Helicopter. But with the men in the Black Hawks blinded by strobes, Vladivostok guards easily got on the roof without being fired on from the helicopters. As the door to the roof opened, one of the Special Ops walked out, and was instantly shot through the leg by a Vladivostok Guard. He fell backwards, and cried out in pain. The other special Ops men crouched down in the stairway up to the roof. A fire fight was sure to ensue very soon...
The Minister pulled up to the Ministry Building, barricades had been set up around the city, and around the building.
"Where's the Prime Minister?" He asked an aid
"We don't know... we've sent some men to investigate his house... They should report in soon... Until then, we have many men up on the roof of the Prison, the Special Ops can't reach their Helicopters yet. The Helicopters are currently immobilized, as we've blinded them with strobe lights. If the pilots do suceed at evading our strobes though, they will see our men on the roof and most likely use machine gun fire on them... And we don't have the fire power to shoot down the Helicopters..."
Over at the Prime Minister's house, several men search through the house. "Sir... we're at the Prime Minister's house... His bodyguard is dead, seems as though strangled... Everything else seems normal..." One of the men reported through his radio. "We did find Muddy Tire Tracks out front though... We'll bring in Pictures of them..."
"We have Barricades on all the roads leading out of the city, the border patrol on our Chinese boarder has stepped up security, and the Airport is suspending all flights. They hopefully wont be able to leave the country..."
"I'm not worried about them leaving, but what they might do while still in the country..."
OOC: You can write the fire fight Cav... You can escape by Helicopter, or make it harder on yourself, and have to go through the streets of the city to the Cav embassey or something.
Don Johnson, Foxxinnian Spy sat in his room waiting for his phone to ring to get instructions on what to do. There was a knock on the door.
He opened it.
"Hello, Mister Johnson, a package was sent to you."he handed him a small cardboard box.
"Thanks," he says taking the box.
There was no return address. He held it up to his ear. A slight buzzing.
"What kind of idiot to they take me for?" he questions himself throwing it out the 5th story window. It hits the ground in a deafining explosion. 60 ft. down three cars lay burnt to a crisp as people run and screem.
Three blocks down in a small brown VW van.
"Maybe we underestimated the intellect of this Foxxinnian guy."
"You said all of them where idiots."
"Well I guess not. So shoot me."
An instant later his head was gone as the man next to him dove out of the car ran for less than a second before a sniper hit him with a bullet to the neck.
"Eagle lead, this is Knife. Request evac from predetermined location."
"Knife, this is Eagle. Things are a little hairy here. Advise secure your position and wait a few."
The Blackhawk pilots were trying furiously to keep away from the lights. The gunners aimed in the lights' general directions, but the rain was making things very hard to see.
The troops arrived at the door to the roof. Thompson was second in line, holding Alexandrov and trying to keep pressure on the wound. "Let's go and secure this roof!"
The door opened and the first man ran a few steps and then jerked back involuntarily. He fell dead back into the stairway.
Thompson took a minute to think. They've got men out there already. Damn. No grenades-- that might blow a hole in the roof and make a helicopter landing impossible. It'd be a shooting gallery if we ran out there one by one. We can't go back down; there's too much gas. They had to get out of there soon, or Alexandrov would die.
"Eagle, this if Knife."
"Go ahead, Knife."
"I think we're going to need to go to Plan B."
"Roger that. We'll make the call."
Plan B rolled in over the treetops. Three Apache Longbows flew towards the prison, looking for the sources of the lights. Unheard over the roar of the Blackhawks and the falling rain, the Apache pilots found their targets. Two of them fired their Hellfire missiles at the light fixtures. The third made its way for the rooftop.
The men were standing on the roof, concentrating on the stairway door. The pilot radioed Thompson. The "go" order was given. The Apache turned on its landing lights, distracting the soldiers. Thompson and his men ran onto the roof. Being lit up by the Apache, blinded, and confused; the Russians were easy targets. Thompson's men secured the roof and gave the OK to the Apache.
The Blackhawks rushed towards the roof. The first one was loaded up with Alexandrov and half the men. Once that one was off, the next came and left as soon as Thompson was on board. They, along with the Apaches, made their ways out to sea.
Andaman and Nicobar
19-10-2003, 04:59
Tariq and Ernest were begining to think this expedition less than genius.
"F***! It's cold! F***! It's cold!"
"I noticed" Ernest said, his teeth chattering as he spoke. This was a bit less.. Indian than the pair were acustomed to.
Now these two men, one white, one Arab, both English speakers first, Arabic second, and not much beyond that, were wandering around Vladivostok under the impression that they wouldn't be able to parade their new faces around for long without the Mafia showing up.
"You..don't suppose we.. jumped the gun on this a bit, do you, Taz?"
"..F***! For F***'s sake! Maybe if we hold up a business the mob will get word someone's moving in on their protection racket and they'll find us?"
"Erm.. oh f*** Taz, where are you going?"
Tariq was breaking into a car somewhere just inside the southern borders of Vladivostok Russia, and fully intended to use it as a get-away vehicle. He'd start his own mob if that's what it'd take to get the attention of the Mafia or else the Soviets.
No one said he was bright.
..Angry, angry young man.
The Blackhawks stopped over an area of the sea. The pilot came over the radio.
"Tango Romeo."
Ahead, two lights were shown. The helicopters made way towards those lights and set down on the deck. They were aboard Cav's flagship, the CIS Cav. Once down, the lights were shut off and the massive carrier was invisible from the skies again. Marines grabbed Alexandrov and ran him to the infirmary. Thompson, accompanied by a few armed marines, boarded an MH-53J and lifted off. The other men went below deck to get some dry clothes and much needed shut-eye.
The Pave Low skimmed over the ocean and touched down on another ship. The men disembarked, this time on Admiral Dutch Maxwell's Blue Ridge Class Command ship. Thompson reported to the Admiral's office.
"Welcome back, Captain! How did things go?"
"Sir, we have recovered Alexandrov. He was wounded during our escape and is being treated on the Cav."
"There was resistance?"
"Yes sir. We got tear gassed, and Arnast was shot dead on the roof. They beat us there and set up a trap. They lit up the helos like it was daylightso we couldn't immediately evacuate. Luckily we had our alternate plan ready to go."
"The Apaches did their job well then?"
"Yes sir, we wouldn't be here without them. It was a good idea to have a backup plan."
"Well, it's a good thing that you are still here. The Emperor's got some big plans for this group, and you're my best special forces man. You can put the rest in your written report. Get some sleep and some dry clothes for now. You can use the officers' quarters here."
"Yes sir."
As early morning broke, Vladivostok was in a state of panic, the news was out around the world.
The Minister flipped through the International news Channels on a Television set in his office. He landed on the BBC...
"Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen... It is now 7 PM here in England, and we have startling news from Vladivostok Russia, where it is currently 7 AM. Apparently, yesterday afternoon, two men were arrested for conspiracy. One a known member of the Russian Mafia, the other a Neo-Soviet Soldier. One of them apparently confessed to conspiring against the Democratic Government of Vladivostok. The Mafia member was shot by a sniper, the Vladivostok Police do not know where the Sniper shot from, or what nationality he was. The Neo-Soviet was kidnapped by Foreign Militants who repelled from Helicopters onto the Prison roof, infiltrated the prison, kidnapped the Soviet, and then escaped via Helicopters. Our reporter took a picture of one of the Black Hawk Helicopters, and with super technology, we have positively identified the Helicopters as Empire of Cav's. The Empire has refused all charges, and says any investigation by the BBC is preposterous..."
The Minister shot up. "How can a news network know the Helicopter's nationality before we do!?" He yelled at his aid.
"I don't know sir... would you like me to contact the Cav Government anyway?"
"Yes!"
The BBC reporter continued. "The death toll in Vladivostok continues to rise.. A bomb exploded outside a first class international hotel just about an hour ago, and two men were killed by sniper fire down the street from the bomb. As of an hour ago, the death toll reaches 45, most of them Vladivostok Soldiers, and Chinese Tourists. The Chinese Tourists were killed by the bomb, as they were having breakfast in a restaurant across the street. The government of Vladivostok applied for aid from the International Community about 40 minutes ago, just before asking for aid, the Vladivostok Government released information that the prime minister had been kidnapped, and Tire Tracks found outside his Home were positively identified as a known Neo-Soviet's car."
Emperor Cav's phone rang. "Your Excellency, are you watching the TV?"
"Yes I am. And I only have one question. How could you let our helicopters go into a foreign country with our markings on it!!?!?!?!
"Sir, I don't know how that happened. I, uh... Oh hello. Who is this for? Me? Wait! Your Excellency! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait!"
Emperor Cav hung up the phone. His Undersecretary of Defense would take the blame for this. Hopefully The Empire could save face and still keep the plan going. The Emperor was going to make an official speech in a few hours.
"Citizens of our Holy Empire, and the world," Cav began, "a terrible tragedy has taken place in Vladivostok Russia yesterday. It appears that two men, one working for the Soviets, the other for the Mafia, were arrested in the country on charges of conspiracy.
"It is thought that The Holy Empire of Cav had something to do with the breakout of a Soviet prisoner from Vladivostok Russia's prison camp. International news crews have been showing footage of what looks like one of our Blackhawks circling around the camp during the breakout. I can say with a heavy heart that, yes, that was our helicopter."
The Emperor paused for a minute to let that sink in.
"However, this act was not sanctioned by myself or any number of officials in our government. It was solely the work of Undersecretary of Defense Peter Barry. He managed to trick a small elite operations group into thinking that the government of Cav has a hand in the newly formed democratic government of Vladivostok Russia. We don't know his reasons for doing this yet, but he is being held for questioning right now.
"We are presuming that the special operations team made it out of the country alive, but we have no way of knowing where they are. We would like to locate them though, and we are asking Vladivostok Russia if we can help in locating our rogue team.
"The Holy Empire of Cav regrets that Mr. Barry would do such a dreadful thing. We will compensate the families of any guards or soldiers of Vladivostok Russia who were taken down by our bullets. Also, I would personally like to meet with the leaders of that great country, so we can mend this situation face to face.
"Thank you."
The Emperor walked away from the podium. Journalists were shouting questions, but he didn't feel like answering any of them at the moment.
OOC: If you are having trouble making up Russian Names for characters in this Cav (Or anyone else) try this website (http://www.kabalarians.com/male/ru_m1.htm) It has Male and Female names, 525,000 of them! (It's actually a Baby Name site, but it works...)
IC:
"Bah... They're lying..." The Minister of Internal Security said as he turned off his Television Set.
"You can't be sure of that Sir... we should take their word for it..."
"You think any major government official could actually stage a Military Operation like that, without anyone in that Empire knowing!? That Emperor would know of any operation within 2 minutes of it taking off, even if he didn't order it."
"That could be sir... But we should still give them the benefit of the doubt..."
"Fine... Well, we still can't meet with him. Our Prime Minister was kidnapped, and I wouldn't doubt it if it was backed by him!"
"Well, second in command is the Minister of the Interior, Melnik Nesterov, we can send him..."
"I suppose... Ugh..." The Minister started banging his head on his desk, as the aid left the room.
"Mr. Nesterov...?" The Aid knocked on the Minister of the Interior's door.
"Come in..." He sighed.
"The Emperor of Cav wishes to meet with our national leaders, as you probably saw on the Television. Since the Prime Minister is missing, you're in command of the state."
"Yes, yes... I'll go..." He sighed. "When and where does the dictat... I mean Emperor want to conduct the summit?"
"He has yet to contact us with that Information..."
OOC: Set up time/place and stuff Cav!
And come on people! Join now! If the Soviet's succed I'll make my government go... *gulps* Communist... *shudders*
So change my country's future!

Prime Minister, I would like to come to your nation and discuss, in person, the events that have taken place in your nation in the past few days. It seems that our country had something to do with this plot, whether or not it was approved.
I would like to make arrangements to meet with you in two days, if that is possible. I feel that the sooner we can get past this misunderstanding, the better our coutries can continue to grow.
My security force will be leaving today, bound for your international airport. They have 2 Antonov 225s with my motorcade and other security measures. Once they have checked the area, my plane will lift off and I will arrive in 4 hours.
I hope that all goes well in your country until the time of my visit. I will see you in two days.
Sincerely,
Emperor Cav
The Holy Empire of Cav
End Transmission
The two massive planes landed one after the other. As soon as they stopped, people started getting ready for the arrival of The Emperor. The security teams met with the local airport officials and acquired a runway to use for The Emperor's arrival.
The detail taxied the planes to that runway and began unloading the motorcade, including The Emperor's new limosuine, the Daimler-Chrysler Maybach. Stretched and bulletproof, this car drew the attention of most of the airport personell, who dropped their work and stared for a few minutes.
Then, the usual black SUVs and other escort cars were rolled out of the plane's nose and were situated in motorcade formation.
The security team coordinated its efforts with the airport security/police. Most of the small matters would be handled by the airport guys, no planes could take off or land 30 minutes before or after Cav's flight was scheduled, and other security measures were set up.
The detail leader radioed back to Cav and informed him that things were secure. The Emperor's plane would lift off from Cav soon and then be on it's way to Vladivostok.
The security teams took out their automatic rifles and stood guard, awaiting their Emperor.
The Cav Security men stood still and quietly, a slight drizzle falling on the city. The Typhoon had taken a sudden southern turn, and had settled south of the Korean Peninsula. It was expected to turn north within the next few days, and hit Korea, Manchuria, and the Russian Far East with full force. That was the least of Vladivostok's worries, as Neo-Soviets had staged small raids on government officials homes, as if trying to eliminate the entire government body. The Prime Minister was still missing, and the Minister of the Interior was kept under lock and key in the Ministry Building to avoid him being kidnapped.
The Trans-Siberian Railroad, the Russian Far East's lifeline to the rest of Russia, had been temporarily shut down after a bomb blew up a freight car in Siberia. Several small ferry ships had been sunk by bombs in Vladivostok Harbor, cutting off the Harbor from any large Cargo Ships. The Typhoon's rainfall on the area had caused erosion and land slides north of the city, cutting off all major roads into the city. It was as if the city was slowly but surely being isolated from the outside world. Airplanes were the only connection to the outside world for now, but as soon as the Typhoon hit the Korean Peninsula, all Air Traffic would have to be grounded. The Minister of Internal Security saw it all happening, piece by piece falling into place. In 2 days, Vladivostok would be entirely cut off from the world for about 3 days. It would be the perfect time for any plot to be executed.
The Cav Emperor's visit wasn't reassuring, it only made Vladivostok more suspicious, as the Cav Empire had launched an illegal operation in the country just 3 days ago. The Emperor denied his knowing, but very few people in Vladivostok believed him, the Minister of Internal Security adamantly believed he was part of the plot.
OOC: No harm will come to the emperor, unless you RP it, don't worry Cav.
The Emperor's supersonic jet landed and taxied to the spot of the motorcade. It pulled up so that the delta wing was positioned over the last car in the motorcade. The door opened and the plane's own stairs rolled down to the ground. Two of The Emperor's security detail stepped out and stood at the bottom of the stairway. When the lead team gave the detail leader a nod, they radioed that The Emperor could disembark.
Emperor Cav stepped out of the plane and surveyed Vladivostok. He felt the rain drizzling on him. It was a cold rain, the only type to be found in Russia. Cav walked down the steps and met the delegation that was awaiting him. They all shook hands and headed for the cars.
The stairs on the plane rolled back up as the motorcade drove off. They were headed for the main government building to meet Vladivostok's Prime Minister (ooc: we still don't know he's missing).
The Emperor and the leading delegate made small talk in the car. Mainly it was the delegate gushing over what a wonderful and luxorious car he was in. The Emperor promised to get him one.
Back at the airport, the guards stood around guarding The Emperor's airplane. They were waiting until they got word that Emperor Cav was being met by the leader of Vladivostok. That was when the fun would begin...
The motorcade pulled up to the large 4 story Yellow and White Ministry Building. Several dozen Vladivostok military personnel were standing along the sidewalk, the Minister of the Interior Melnik Nesterov, and several other government officials were waiting outside the entrance of the building.
The Emperor's Chauffeur opened the Limousine door, an aid opened an umbrella and placed it over the Emperor as he got out of the Limousine.
"Good Afternoon your Majesty..." Melnik Nesterov said reaching to shake the Emperor's hand...
"Good Afternoon your Majesty..." Melnik Nesterov said reaching to shake the Emperor's hand...
"Yes, it is." The Emperor shook hands back with the minister. "Quite some weather you've got here. I hope this storm doesn't delay any investigations..." Or my departure, Cav thought.
"Well, let's get down to business. Where is your Prime Minister?"
"..." The Government officials darts eyes around and each other.
"Missing..." The Minister of the Interior mummbled. "Kidnapped by Neo-Soviets..."
"Kidnapped! Oh my. Our condolences are with you. I hope that you understand that The Holy Empire of Cav had absolutely nothing to do with the kidnapping. If you require any help in finding your Prime Minister, we would be happy to help. Please let us know."
************
Meanwhile....
The guards were standing at the airport, watching the rainclouds over various parts of the land. Luckily it had just stopped raining there, when...
"Shots fired! Shots fired!"
Men in camo. uniforms came from the other side of the runway in SUVs. They had uzis and were firing at Cav's security detail. They circled the planes, cutting the guards off from escape.
"Those damn airport security guards can't do anything right!" one of the guards said.
"Sierra Whiskey, Sierra Whiskey, we have shootings at the airport. Request backup assistance," another called into his radio.
The call was picked up by the AWACS operating over the airport, due to The Emperor's presence. It was immediately relayed to two more AN-225s that headed toward the airport. Circling in the airspace just outside of Vladivostock, they were ETA'd for 15 minutes.
************
The security detail with The Emperor got the news immediately too. They took Emperor Cav aside and informed him of the news.
Cav turned to Minister Nesterov, "Come with us, you'll be safe. You can bring your security staff as well, but they'll have to ride with my guards."
The Minister got in the car with The Emperor and it sped off. The security detail was on the radio trying to figure out what was happening at the airport. Cav asked Nesterov where the nearest safest location was. They would head there and wait out this situation, while also trying to iron out the events of the last conflict.
"Closest safe spot... would be the... Military training Academy, it's just about seven or eight blocks away..." Minister Nesterov pondered what could possibly be happening... Vladivostok figured Cav was backing the Neo-Soviets. So why would the Soviet's attack Cav troops? Perhaps the Mafia, but doing this wouldn't accomplish anything for the Mafia...
They pulled up outside the large Brick Wall, which surrounded the Military Academy. Minister Nesterov entered his security code into the computer unit outside the gate.
The cars pulled up along the drive way up to the Five story Brick building, the main building of the academy.
Cav and Minister Nesterov entered the lobby, in the lobby was General Chernyev, the head of the armed forces of Vladivostok.
"General... You aren't supposed to be here...?" Minister Nesterov suddenly felt very uncomfortable, the General was supposed to be in Japan for a conference...
OOC: Nothing will happen with the general yet, it's just part of a later turn in the story line.
Two more Antonov AN-225s landed in the airport on the same runway as Cav's plane. They scared off the SUVs for a minute so the guards could regroup. Out of the planes ran army soldiers from Cav. They and their M16s positioned themselves and then fired at the unknown assailants.
Having uniformed soldiers coming at them from all angles now, the gunmen decided that it was time to leave. They crashed through a gate and drove onto a road, leaving the airport. The soldiers did not give chase, but The Emperor's security detail yelled for the airport security and Russian police to chase the car. The soldiers moved to take over the positions taken by the airport guards. As that happened, HMMVWs and Bradleys were being rolled out of the AN-225s.
**********
Emperor Cav walked with Minister Nesterov around the academy.
"I must apologize for this sudden happening. My guards put my safety above all things. I hope you can understand... We must now find a place where we can sit and put all of our information on the same table."

Tariq and Ernest had just burst into a local business in what seemed a fairly run-down part of Vladivostok Russia. They still only knew a few words here and there in Russian, so trying to find out who, if anyone, had links to the Mafia and/or Soviets was not easy. Tariq had taken to waving his M1911 automatic in the faces of shopkeepers in the hope that he would eventually gather that they were already paying protection money to a local maffia boss. Maybe they could get in touch this way, even if it meant getting off on the wrong foot.
"Taz, this is a fucking dry-cleaners, man, they aren't going to have much cash dude.."
"I don't give a fuck about their fucking Russian money!" Tariq yelled back, brandishing the .45 as he did. "I want to know where the fucking mafia..soviet..fuckers are!" He ranted on, looking from Ernest to the little man behind the counter.
"I.. wouldn't it have been better to learn a bit of Russian.. or find someone who speaks English?"
"I haven't time for your fucking shit, this isn't an above-board official exchange of fucking ambassadors!"
Ernest just shrugged and stuck his head out the door to check for police.
(ooc: basically the pair of Nicobarese soviet-ish rebels are racing about Vladivostock Russia loudly and crudely trying to find a soviet/mafia boss so that they might foster some sort of co-operation with their group in North Andaman, which might be tempting due to its profitable blackmarket arms and drugs trade. I'm not sure how clear it has been exactly, through the haze of Tariq's potty-mouth :) )

OOC: Go to the airport. That's where my men are.

Ernest was fast running out of patience for hot-headed Tariq's wreckless criminal behaviour. They'd be arrested in days if this kept up.
"Come on man. This is small-time, you're right. We need to be where the action is. If these Soviet/Mafia organisations are half serious they'll have fingers in big pies, like ports and airports, right?"
Tariq pouted thoughtfully, eventually conceeding that Ernest was probably right.
"Airport it is then."
"One thing Taz, you are not holding-up the airport!" Laughed his friend.
The airport was bustling with Cav troop activity. They were securing the positions taken from the Russian police, and transports and armored vehicles were driving around. The lead soldier made his way to the air traffic controller and walked in.
"We're going to need all air traffic diverted from this airport. It's just become a crime scene and we need to bring in our investigators and more security personell. You must only allow Cavish planes to land."
The lead controller stood up to protest and started saying, "I... I don't have the authorization for this. It already looks like a warzone down there..."
The soldier held up his M16 with the bayonett attachment. "Here's your authorization. Get to it."
Three more men walked into the tower with their M16s.
"These men are here to see that the airport stays closed."
The Cavish soldiers formed a tight perimeter around the airport. Everybody wanting to get in or out had to go through at least two checkpoints.
The people waiting for flights were met by the same man who was just in the control tower. He spoke to large groups of people and then made an announcement over the speaker system.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we are sorry for the delay. As you may or may not have noticed, we have a large diplomatic party here from The Holy Empire of Cav which was fired upon about half an hour ago by unknown assailants. For that reason, we have closed down the airport and are not allowing flights in or out of here. It is just as much for your safety as it is for ours. We have a team coming to investigate the problem and then we should have the airport open an hour after that. We have to ask you to exit the airport now for further security and safety measures. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience."
OOC: Sorry! I couldn't sign on for two days, and didn't have time to post yesterday!
IC:
Minister Nesterov sat with the Emperor in the office of one of the General's of the Academy. It was around 11 PM, but the Emperor wasn't tired at all due to his Homeland's very different time zone. The Minister was dozing, until a soldier came in and whispered something to the Minister.
"You're troops shut down my airport..." Minister Nesterov glared at the Emperor, still not trusting him. "You do realize Vladivostok is isolated as long as that Airport remains closed...?" After a moment of no answer, the Minister asked another question abruptly. "Your Majesty... As soon as you find where your insubordinate Special Ops team took Alexanderov, will you return him to us?"
"It is unfortunate that your airport was closed, but our forensic teams being flown in must have the crime scene intact. And with this storm coming in, we have to do it quickly. Also, the planes were being held for 30 minutes after my arrival. There will only be a little longer delay.
"As for Alexandrov, we are closing in on the rogue troops. As soon as they are in captivity, we will turn him over."
The people at the airport were being extremely civil and orderly. They evacuated the airport in good time and were allowed to return home to their families.
Most of the peolpe were exiting the airport, but two men walked up to the guards and requested to see their superior. They had a plan to make and were taken to Colonel John Rondone to discuss things.
The forensics team arrived in more planes. They, along with more tanks and soldiers, exited the plane and began investigating. Shell casings were collected and analyzed. The tire tracks from the SUVs were also inspected. They were hoping that Vladivostock's police would have some luck finding the culprits.
General Chernyev walked into the office the leaders were sitting in.
"General, may I help you...?" Minister Nesterov asked, the General gave no answer. "General, you never told me why you came back early from Japan..." Still no answer. A few armed guards walked up behind the general.
"Simple Minister Nesterov... I wanted to overthrow this week democracy..." He smiled. "Take the Minister away... Inform the Soviet revolutionaries that the army is now in control of Vladivostok..." Minister Nesterov just looked in shock as two guard grabbed him and carried him off. "Now, your majesty... You came to meet our leader... I guess that would be me."
The Emperor looked shocked. "This is a Military Coup? Are you instating a Socialist Government?"
"No... The Military does not support the Capitalist Republic, or the Neo-Soviets... The Military is underfunded, and we've had quite enough of that weak indecisive Republican incompetency... So, the Military will henceforth be the government of Vladivostok... Now, would your nation like to do business with ours... If not, I'm sure I can get a nice price from your country for your safe return..." General Chernyev laughed.
Meanwhile, a Soviet backed mass of citizen soldiers were about to attack the Ministry building, when the Vladivostok Army stormed the building. The head of the Soviet movement glared through his binoculars at the building.
"The army seized the government... They're asking for us to lay down arms, and let them take control peacefully, or they'll retaliate in full force..." One of the Neo-Soviets said to the leader.
"No... Continue as planned... I would rather live under a Capitalist Republic, then Military Oppression..."
The Neo-Soviet attacked the army, which were attacking the Ministry building. Within minutes, the entire Ministry building turned into a massive fire fight between Army, Republican Loyalists, and Soviets
OOC: twists and turns... Will this country ever have a stable government? The soviets will remain unidentified for now... The Vladivostok Military is fighting for General Chernyev. The Police, and about 50% of the citizens are for the republic. The Mafia is in support of the Neo Soviets, as are about 40% of the citizens. And then there's the Cav Military, who I don't think if friendly with any of the factions at this piont...

"Oh fuck.. what the fuck's going on here?"
Tariq and Ernest had arrived just outside the airport.. there seemed to be soldiers and security all over the place.
"Maybe that's a good sign.. I mean.. maybe the Soviets are active around here.."
"Maybe there's a fucking war on!" Suggested a less optimistic Tariq.
"What the fuck do we do, man?"
Ernest didn't seem to know.
"Avoid being searched, I'd say. Maybe we should stash the pieces eh?"
Tariq didn't like that idea, and decided instead that the pair would avoid serious looking concentrations of soldiers and what not, and then take their chances against anyone less seriously armed who might discover their weapons.
The pair tried to blend in to the nearest town to the airport, looking for a bar and waiting for whatever was going on to blow over.
Of course with neither speaking much Russian, and one being an Arab, they probably stuck out like a sore thumb.
"Hey, maybe the fuckers will have good vodka at least!"
"Mh. If we don't get in touch with home soon the group's going to loose interest in any kind of deal with the Soviets, Taz, we've got to find out what's going on. Look for a bar with a TV, maybe the news will help."
Cav stared at General Chernyev and thought for awhile. "You are aware that my nation will not be threatened by you or any other nation. I have a 'small' force at your airport right now that is the size of your army. If I am harmed, my nation will come down so hard on you that nobody will be able to step foot on this land for hundreds of thousands of years. I do not respond well to threats. I'm leaving now."
Cav stood up to walk out the door.
**********
The airport was bustling with Cavish troops now. Almost a full brigade was ready and able to obey General Irwin's orders. More troops were on the way, too. The airport was a perfect place to start an invasion-- all the fuel and land an army would need to set up. They were just waiting for The Emperor's meeting to be done with.
**********
The carrier group under Admiral Maxwell was preparing to launch its planes for a combat air patrol. They were still off the coast, in international waters, but moving slowly towards the Russian coast.
**********
An SR-71 Blackbird flew in the high skies over Vladivostok, taking various pictures of the city for tactical purposes. The Ministry building had erupted with a lot of people, and... Are those guns?, the pilot asked hmiself. This does not look good.
"Knife, this is Watchdog, over."
"Watchdog, Knife. Go ahead."
"We've got some images of the target I think you should see. Need refinement, but I don't like where this is going."
"RTB immediately. We'll go over them ASAP."
The city of Vladivostok broke into factions. The Mafia had seized the docks, the Soviets had siezed the greater residential areas, the Republican Loyalists were trying to hold out in the administrative and public buildings, the Military Coup seized much of the downtown commerceial center and industrial sector.
The Typhoon had pushed north sooner then expected, the eye started to plow through South Korea, wind and rain in Vladivostok rapidly increased.
Don Johnson, Foxxinnian Spy, called back to Foxxinnia.
The phone rang once, twice, thrice, quadtic...quadsep...um...fourice, fivices, sixtepiceicledon...ice.
"Hello. What is the problem?-"
"Ok, may I speak-"
"That is what you would hear if someone was here, so leave your name and mission and we'll get back to you. *Beep*"
"*sigh* Ok this is Don Johnson on the Valdistok Mission and I might need back-up over here, ok? Be discrete about it ok? Thank you."
One day later on the FBC the President holds a press confrence.
"In Valdistok Russia freedom is under fires...fire. That is why I am going to send 200 troops to Vladistok in an effort to defend the Vladistokoinans from Communism. Questions? You."
"Ok, Erik Stewards, BBC. By making this public doesn't this endanger the troops going to Vladistok?"
The President looks around nervously.
"Well...Yes I suppose but I don't believe the Soviets will see this brodcast. So we won't air this."
The cameraman simply says,"Umm...This is live across the globe."
The President stands still like a deer in the headlights and then slowly sidesteps of the stage into the field of reporters. Sidesteps a few feet farther and opens the restroom door and ducks inside.
OOC: VR, what are your plans for Emperor Cav? Are you going to let him just go, or is your general going to hold him for now?
Two guards grabbed the Emperor as he walked through the Lobby.
"I beg your pardon?" Emperor Cav scouled at them.
"You're coming with us..." They pushed him off down a hall, to be held in a room in the Academy...
OOC: I guess I'll hold him hostage

OOC: I guess I'll hold him hostage
OOC: Holding our Emperor hostage? Your funeral man...
IC: The guards were waiting outside of the office when they noticed the large military presence. The leader of Cav's guard looked into the office to see The Emperor being walked away by two armed men. His mind raced. They would kill The Emperor if the men made a move. He had to relay this information back to The Holy Empire. He called the detail and told them to make way for the exits. There was nothing they could do to help Emperor Cav right now, and they were the only ones who knew what was going on.
They walked quickly out of the building, getting into their cars and driving off. At least they would be safe at the airport. Hopefully that part of the plan would be going as hoped.
Two Foxxinnian hovercraft transports are seen skiming across the Valdistokian horizon.
One soldier looks over the newspaper, "Hey look at this."
"What?" a nearby soilder askes.
"The Cav Emperor has been taken hostage."
"Really?" the other soilder says sipping from his coffee mug with raised eyebrows.
"Yeah."
"How 'bout that."
A loud voice crackles over a speaker above their heads,"Attention. Attention. We are about to land. Please get ready for landing."
The soilders began to pack-up and then they rose to their feet just as the hovercraft hit the beach causing them all to fall back in one sudden jolt.
The landing door opened revealing 100 soilders on their backs trying to get up like turtels to a waiting general who had just gotten off the other hovercraft.
"To you feet soilders!" he shouted. Slowly the soilders stood up, slightly dazed. "This 'ere's forigen land. You can't go fallin' down and spittin' ever'where." He paused to spit out a fist sized glob of tobacco. "Now chances are one of you boys could get shot. Maybe two of ya'. Err...Well hey you can all die in a huge explosion for all I care." The troops exchanged worried looks. "Umm... Well anyway don't worry you're in my command. And I ain't ever lost to any soviet soilder. Well...Probably cause I never fought one, but I bet they're big pussies. So who's gona' fight!"
"We are!" they all chanted.
"For who!"
"The Vladistokoinans!"
"And for what?"
The waves crashed upon the beach as high tide rolled in.
The general got a look of disgust on his face "Freedom you slimy morons!"
"For freedom!" they yelled stomping off the craft.
The Minister of War had become the temporary leader of the Republican Loyalists. He was handed a note from someone. "The Foxxinnians have landed 200 troops, to HELP us!?" He looked aghast. "Oh dear god we're doomed!"
OOC: Just pick which faction to support Cav
"The Emperor has been what?!?!" Imperial Minister Miles Forsyth yelled. "Kidnapped!! "
"Yes sir," Admiral Maxwell reported. "His guards reported seeing him taken away by men with guns during the military coup. They figured that they would be risking The Emperor's life more than saving it if they started an attack."
Forsyth was in shock. He was now in control of the government of Cav. Cav II in Judithville would have to be called in on this one. So would General Higgins in Higera. The Emperor had plans on making Higgins the leader of Higera after his heroism and valor.
"Get Emperor Cav II and General Higgins here now. We cannot let this takeover endanger our Emperor. I mean, we were the ones who were supposed to be taking over, not some military faction. We must out down this revolution. Dispatch 7th and 8th fleets to the area. Get as many men to that airport as possible."
"Yes sir!" The Admiral made the call to his subordinates and relayed the orders.
More planes were stocked up with tanks and men and were to fly out to Vladivostok. The weather was getting rough, and nobody knew how much time the Cavish had before it wasn't possible to get planes through.
F/V-27B Manta Rays (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=78668&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=f+v27b+manta+rays) took off from the carriers along with F-14s, and began flying combat air patrols over Vladivostok. They expected minimal resistance from the Russians, but had an AWACS up to check things out.
The tanks were still rolling off the incoming planes, and the airport was beginning to look like an army base. They set up quarters and offices in the terminal, and had ample space in the hangars for storage. They were waiting for orders any minute now, telling them who to fight.
OOC: If you would put Cav in with your Minister, I'm sure they will build a lasting friendship. Also, since our Emperor has been kidnapped, we're not going to be very friendly to the Vladivostokian Soviets.
The Emperor was pushed into the dark room, and the door slammed behind him. "I wont dare stand for this..." He murmured.
"Hello..." A Dark figure said from the corner of the room, sitting on a bed.
The Emperor walked over slowly, and looked at who it was "Prime Minister Nikitin!?" Emperor Cav was shocked to see the Prime Minister of Vladivostok in his bath robe.
"Emperor Cav!?" The Prime Minister was shocked. He knew the Emperor from pictures, but not personally.
"What are you doing here?" They both asked at once.
"I was kidnapped by that insane General Chernyev..." Prime Minister Nikitin sighed. "What are YOU doing in Vladivostok!?"
"Well... That's a long story..." The Emperor Cav started to explain it all, and how the country was fractionating now.
OOC: The PM is found!
"So that is the condition of your country right now. I am sorry that we had to meet this way. To be honest, we originally wanted to install a Socialist-friendly government in your nation, but... Well, after seeing what your military wants to do with the country, I bet my peolpe are going to fight for the original government."
*************
Emperor Cav II of Judithville had just arrived at the airport. General Higgins was talking with Minister Forsyth about plans for action. Cav II stepped off the plane and into the limo where he was given a card with the nuclear missile codes on it. Cav II was now in command of The Empire.
They talked throughout the limo drive to The Emperor's palace in downtown. Once there, they had larger staff meetings with the Imperial Defense Department and Imperial Agency for Security. They came up with a plan of action and sent out in information to the commanders.
General Higgins got up from the meeting as well. Cav II asked him where he was going and the General replied, "My Emperor is in dangerous territory. He trusted me in Higera, and I am sure that he would want me in Vladivostock. I will deliver these orders to Admiral Maxwell myself."
Higgins left the palace, got in his official car and headed off to the airport at top speed. He would be aboard Maxwell's command ship tomorrow morning.
"General Higgins, welcome aboard! I hear you made quite the hero of yourself in Higera." Admiral Maxwell said aboard his command ship. The General had flown in the night before and slept on the CIS Cav. He was then ferried onto Maxwell's command ship for an early morning meeting.
"Thank you, Admiral. Higera was easy. Those Coalition people didn't know their asses from their faces. This is going to be a tougher situation."
"I know, Will. We've both been good friends of Emperor Cav for a long time. It's madness that the Soviets think they can hold him hostage like this. Well, that's what we're here for, right? We'll figure out something to get The Emperor out of harm's way. Let's get up to speed."
"The airport is pretty much secure by the army. We have planes transporting things day and night, even in the rough weather they're having over there. We have a brigade there and ready to go. We're running out of room to put everything though."
Admiral Maxwell looked at the map of Vladivostok and did some thinking. "I have our fighters doing CAPs over the city, but they haven't had any problems yet. Either the Russians don't know we're up there, or they don't have anything to take us down with. We've got this whole group ready to go though, and we're expecting another fleet equipped with fully-loaded landing ships. We're keeping the ships away from the coast for now, due to the storm that's coming."
The General and Admiral talked for a while longer and decided that Emperor Cav should be the top priority. General Higgins and Admiral Maxwell decided to send a message from the leader of the military coup, from one officer to another. Then they'd work from there.
Maxwell and Higgins asked their officers to type up a draft they could send to Vladivostok within the next 12 hours.
OOC: Sorry, doing ALOT for my region lately. I set up a forum for it, and a Congress thing... I just haven't had time to post, and don't really have time today either...
"And... there. I've got it!" Emperor Cav had finished tunnelling his way out of the cell with a spoon and bowl given to him by his captors. The food wasn't good, but the dishes sure did the trick.
"Prime Minister, wait here and pretend that you're talking to me. I'll be back as soon as the guards come into the room to check on us again. I promise."
Emperor Cav stealithly made his way to the road and hitched a ride to the airport. From there, he boarded his hypersonic jet and made his way back to The Holy Empire.
OOC: It's tough to get things done when The Emperor is locked in a cell. I've promised Cav to a lot of different functions and haven't been able to use him becase of this. Whenever you're ready to finish this, let me know. Until then, Emperor Cav will be free.
