Earlier today, the Aegis Corporation Board of Directors announced the company has been bought out by the PrattCo Conglomerate. The company, specializing in technology with sectors including manufacturing and logistics.

President and CEO Ray Rodgers reportedly said, "This is a prime oppurtunity to benefit the company and its employees, as well as my bank account. We on the board of directors would like to wish the new owners the best of luck."

In an automated customer service factory - tens of thousands of lifelike voice agents answering tens of thousands of calls per minute - a solitary message is routed to a solitary voice agent. This message has come from the Chief of Staff of Manganland, to the Santa Barbarian government (a little-known, always-quiet subset of the PCC), where someone thought it would best be handled simply by the customer service automatons.

The Manganland Chief of Staff gets a cheery, female reply. "PCC Customer Service. We're sorry that you feel this way about a PrattCo Conglomerate product. Please hold so that we can work this out together. PrattCo! Building a better future!"

The sound of muzak plays endlessly.
