Esamopian People's Army NOT to be associated with the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency :-))

All-volunteer army created by the first act of Politurbo on Dec. 12, 980, following the official integration of all the communes and cities in the "Integration" agreement creating the Politurbo and giving it wide powers. The army's main goal in the past has been to defend Esamopia and was used extensively before the creation of the First People's Police Corps (FPPC) during the 1430's.

Today's EPA (Esamopian People's Army) is the "cream of the crop" of Esamopia, as most of the most brilliant tacticians, strategists, industrialists, and basically most leaders of Esamopia have had some army experience. The army has historically seen very limited engagements, but is known for its loyalty and professionalism in the historic "Capitalism Coups" that plagued Esamopia in the 1930's, the army never backed down from supporting the government, even after some generals (swayed by promises of high salaries and influence) joined the capitalists... even after these despicable generals slaughtered prisoners of the civil war, the Esamopian army showed its professionalism by keeping its cool and sticking to the laws of war. Their great service to the people has always given the army a high reputation and has caused some to unofficially call the army "Esamopian People's Liberation Army" though the measure was never put before the Politurbo.

The army has had some combat experience, though very little foreign action. It has mostly been seen as a force for stability although renowned for its special forces training. Two divisions, the People's Army of Occupation and the People's Special Defenders, are responsible for peacekeeping operations and special forces operations, respectivelly.

Esamopian People's Navy

The navy has long been run by special members of the north-west province of Jojika, the only one with any access to the sea. The navy was created as an afterthought since Esamopia is mostly land-locked, but was created when a special terrorist/pirate group sabatoged shipping. After its establishment it has only seen budget cuts and rumors of abolishing it... though it may be here to stay as some admirals have high connections...

Esamopian Cloud Forces

The Air force was only recently created in the response for demands nationwide for an air force "like everyone else!" and due to an opportunity for Esamopia to get relatively cheap F-15's from an anonymous nation. Although the F-15 deal never materialized, the Air Force was born, and Esamopia's most recent Premier was one of the Air Academy's first graduates.

The modern Omzian Armed Forces, composed of Omzian National Guard (Ground, Air National Guard, Coast Guards) Reserve, Omzian People's Liberation Forces (Ground, Air, Sea, Marine Corps), Omzian People's Militia, and Omzian Special Operation Units. But we'll go with the PLF for now.

People's Liberation Army --- Fight for revolution.
The PLA, is started in 1953, when the Omzian socialist rebel forces started a force to combat the new military-controlled Omzian Armed Republic. The PLA is small --- but it is noted that it is highly advanced.
The PLA has 880,000 personnel, with 7800 MBTs, 9000+ IFV/ICV/APC, 2500 Attack Helicopters, 2200 Utility helicopters and various other advanced armored vehicles. The PLA also operate 500+ ground cruise missile launchers, and 2200+ large air defence units (about 500 batteries).

People's Liberation Air Force --- Peace is our profession
The Omzian Air Force can be dated abck to 1898 --- when the Omzian Imperial War Offices commerced the construction of 4 military balloons for observation. Later, in 1918, the Omzian Army Air Corps is officially formed --- handling military aircraft. Over the years, the Omzian Air Force has operated various aircraft from the P-61 Black Widow to the B-17 Flying Fortress, to the MiG-21 Fishbed and B-52 Stratofortress (still active today, under the name B-52I). Omzian Air Force is famous within the region for its great efficency at commercing air superiority operations, and its highly advanced technologies, logically planned structure, and superb training.
The Omzian PLAF has 430,000 personnel, with about 3900 combat aeroplanes, 1400 trainers, and 200 transports.

People's Liberation Navy --- Never cross the fire.
The Omzian Navy can be dated back to 180 A.D., when the ancient Omzian Empires formed a group of ships to bombard enemy coast. Today, the highly advanced --- but small --- Omzian Navy operates a wide variety of equipments. The PLN has been noted that it has an extensive combat experience and record.
The Omzian PLN has 510,000 personnel. There are about 200 warships, 55 submarines, 200 logistics and transport vessels, 30 large amphibious vessels, and over 1800 aircraft.
People's Liberation Navy --- Marine Corps --- Storm, storm, for the revolution.
The Omzian PLN-MC can be dated back to 1942, when the Omzian free Republic drafted a small naval landing force, the Army Marine Corps. The highlt advanced PLNMC today has one of the best trainings in the Omzian Armed forces.
The Omzian PLNMC has 125,000 personnel, with 700 aircraft and over 1200 armored vehicles.

Right now, I only REALLY have an air force, and I haven't even given it a tally on numbers since I have no idea how to do so. So I have to BS a few things, with the exception of how many aircraft I have. But, anyway:

The Ruschic Air Force was established just after the resignation of Russell Dillinger III. His son, Russell Dillinger IV, took command of the nation and set out to build up the country's military, starting with the air force. Feeling air supremacy to be the biggest factor in how battle goes, Dillinger and the government set up a program for high schools and colleges around the nation that allows early training for recruits ages sixteen and up on weekends when there's no school. The ranks quickly filled up, and ever since, the Ruschic Air Force has been there for the nation in its and others' times of need. The most widely-used fighter of the air force is the MiG-29 Fulcrum, with F-5E Tiger IIs using up a wide variety of training, patrolling, and less significant roles. Currently, the air force is looking to obtain more of its preferred fighter, the Su-37 Super Flanker and eventually replace the MiG-29s with them.

Iraqi Army

Formed in the late 1930's after Iraq became free from British rule. Grew steadily until the Iran-Iraq war in the 1980's. The army went from around 275,000 active service personnel to about 1,000,000 men by the end of the war in 1988. Army was decimated in the Gulf War of 1991. Slowly rebuilt and successfully held back the American forces during Gulf War 2 in 2003. When Iraq and Syria united, certain units from Syria were incorporated into the Iraqi Army, but most Syrian Army forces were dismissed due to political unreliable elements.

Iraqi Air Force

The airforce was never paid much attention to until the Iran-Iraq war. Airforce grew to over 900 combat aircraft. Many aircrafts were lost in the Gulf War of 1991. Since then, the airforce has slowly been rebuilt, but still only manages to field around 400 aircraft. Most Syrian aircraft was pillaged for parts for Iraqi aircraft.

Iraqi Navy

Smallest branch of the whole armed forces. No real combat significance.

Fedayeen Saddam

Formed in 1995 by Saddam Hussein's son Uday. Now numbers some 50,000 men with pro-Saddam Syrians and many Iraqis.

Iraqi Republican Guard

Totally manned by volunteering men from Saddam's homeland. Numbers over 150,000 men. Armed with T-80UD tanks, AK-103 assault rifles, BMP-2's and BMP-3's w/ERA armor. Best training, equipment, and pay of the whole armed forces.

The DNRC military is comprised of several thousand rednecks with shotguns and beer, who are told before battle that the enemy are the ones who killed Earnhardt, they stuch Jeff Gordon stickers on the Rednecks trucks, tried to ban hunting and beer and hate Jesus.

It works rather well.

Langham Marine Corps.
The seconds smallest of the Langham military, is also the second toughest. The Langham Marine Corps. was established when we first got gunpowder in the early 1700's. The Langham Marine Corps. has had a history of causing chaos to the enemy in any possible way. The Marine Corps. is known to be demons on the battlefield and is feared by rebels in West Langham.

Langham Elite Guard
The smallest branch of service in the Langham military. The Langham Elite Guard is the toughest and most elite of all of the branches of he Langham military. The Elite Guard patrols and defends a 10 mile radius of each major city. The Langham Elite Guard was formed after World War 1 after the Germans attempted to invade Langham in a secret invasion. Since then the Langham Elite Guard has protected all major cities from enemies.

Langham Army
The largest branch in the Langham military, the Army invades enemy countries by land while the Marines invade by sea. The Army was formed right when Langham was founded. The Army is the father branch of the famed Langham Tank Corps. It is also in competition with the Langham Marine Corps.

Langham Tank Corps.
This branch of service is associated with the Army. It is entirely composed of tanks, tank mechanics, and tank crews. The Tank Corps. acts as the Army's support in battle and could always be trusted to be next to the Army's side.

Langham Navy
The second largest branch of the Langham military. The Navy acts as support for all of the branches, just like the Air Force. The Navy is the most important component in invasions because they transport troops, vehicles, and supplies. The Navy is very close to the Marine Corps. and is in competition with the Air Force.

Langham Airforce
The third largest branch of the Langham military. The Air Force acts as support for all branches. The Langham Air Force is much similar to that of the U.S. Air Force.

Vladivostok Russia has no conventional Army/Air Force/Navy. We only have the scraps left behind from the former USSR's massive build up in the Pacific.

Vladivostok National Guard (VNG) -- A hardly organized group of former Soviet Military personnel, who are committed to guarding Vladivostok from international threats. Although they could only fight off maybe a rat invasion, these former Soviet Armed Forces bring pride to the people of Vladivostok, despite the fact that they don't have Uniforms, Weapons, or an organized Military Hierarchy. Only about 30,000 people are in this organization, which is hardly funded by the struggling government.

Vladivostok Air Force (VAF) -- The Air Force, like the "National Guard" is just a small coalition of former Soviet Military Personnel. This however, is sadly not funded at all, fuel for the planes at this time is far to expensive for the infant government to afford, so the planes, and the "Air Force" is being scraped. Around 10,000 people still work in this now non-existant branch of the military.

Vladivostok Navy (VN) -- This actually is funded by the government, only for the fact that it is the former Russian Pacific Fleet, which consisted of nearly 90 Nuclear Subs. Most of those Subs have been scraped, but Vladivostok scrapes up enough money to keep maintenance on about 10 of the Subs, but can't afford to service them. The other 35 which have yet to be scraped, are dry docked up and down the Russian pacific Coastline, deteriorating into Environmental Disasters. Around 20 of the Nuclear Subs remain in other Russian Government's Hands. The Surface Fleet of the Pacific Fleet was scraped during the early 1990's, before Vladivostok's independance, although 2 Nuclear Surface Vessels remain. Japan continues to try to help Russia to scrap the Nuclear Subs. About 70,000 people work for this devision of the Milutary.

1) Air- or Space-borne Lasers, to attempt to shoot down a missile as it lifts off
2) Anti-Air Missiles launched from ships and/or aircraft in the region
3) Theater High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system of 100 missiles, to attempt to shoot down the missile, starting when it's at ~60 miles
4) Anti-Air Missiles launched near the would-be point of impact
Now that the system is complete, Nianacio has nearly leakproof defense against ICBMs, SLBMs, SLEMs, and similar weapons. 8) The system has been expanded to protect the latest MC nation.
ARMY:
35 combat divisions
5 reserve divisions
10 spec ops divisions, with greater emphasis on physical fitness and small-arms proficiency than the combat units. Spec ops training includes martial arts, survival, diving, foreign languages, and parachuting, focused primarily on urban, highland, and jungle areas, and after graduating, the soldatoj will probably go through at least one specialty school, of which there are six (UAVs, amphibious operations, demolitions, communications, computers, and foreign languages). The SOFs are the first to get new equipment, and are trained to use foreign equipment, in case it becomes necessary. You might someday find my SOFs rescuing prisoners, capturing valuable personnel, seizing important areas, and/or destroying equipment and installations in your nation. They'll also be the first in combat, but will go back to SOF roles as soon as reinforcements arrive, which will probably be soon after the SOFs arrive.

Seventeen combat divisions and 1 spec ops division are assigned to each military region.
DEFENSES and TERRAIN:
OK, so this isn't a branch of the military; it's still important.
Most of my nation is covered in forest, so tanks will have to stick to a few roads. I'll make sure there's an adequate...'greeting party' on each road.
The nation also has steep mountains, where I hide my factories...underground.
The depth of the waters surrounding my nation averages 200 meters, so submarines won't be able to go very deep. There are also coral lagoons around my nation, so, like tanks, ships will be forced to stay in certain areas. I have more anti-ship defenses.
The people find hedgerows are great for marking property boundaries. ;)

A: My population is over five times that of the United States of America; my economy is better, too. My aircraft carriers carry only 54 aircraft and are also troop carriers. I could have even more carriers, but I don't want them.

A: For part of the Cold War, the USA had 500 ICBMs. Even if you cut that number down over 4/5, with my population, that would still go back to 500. Adding in my economy, and the fact that SLEMs aren't actually ICBMs, I think that number is reasonable.

Wednesday, the 4th of June, 2003 (real-life) - KwsNI had decided to provide me with support. Construction time of my carrier groups will be reduced from 12 to 8 years, and the ABM system will be completed in no more than 14 years, probably 10-13 years.
Wednesday, the 11th of June, 2003 (real-life) - I've decided it would be good to convert some of my electronics to a new type that would be virtually impervious to EMP except at close range. I'm doing this by constructing them out of Gallium Arsinide (GaAS), and altering the interior geometries of the devices. Constructing electronics of GaAS is expensive, so most of the military's electronics will only be able to have the geometry changes.
Tuesday, the 17th of June, 2003 (real-life) - I realized I made a mistake with my military regions, and have adjusted some numbers because of this. I have to build two more carrier groups and arm 37 combat divisions and 1 spec ops division.
Friday, the 4th of June, 2003 (real-life) - I updated combat division numbers to match my increase in population (10 more divisions). Reserves haven't been updated. My combat navy is down to the following at the moment:
41 attack submarines
82 destroyers
72 cruisers
94 supply ships
41 aircraft carriers
1,611 aircraft

Tuesday, the 2nd of September, 2003 (real-life) - Construction has begun on 30 more carrier groups. It is expected that no more will be built (except to replace old ships) after these are completed. Estimated construction time: Seven and one-half years
Sunday, the 14th of September, 2003 (real-life) - Nianacio has begun reducing the size of the army. Instead of 90 divisions (85 regular, 5 spec ops), there will be 45 (35 regular, 10 spec ops). The reduction would take several years (instead of firing soldiers, Nianacio will be recruiting fewer), but I'm going to make those several years pass right now. The training of the regular soldiers has at the same time been increased, and a Nianaciana Foreign Legion (NFL) has been set up.
Is that enough information?

I think it's just because he's been playing for nearly a year... 30 pages of info over a 11 month period doesn't mean he has too much time on his hands... In fact, I bet most nations would be at around 50-100 pages after a year.

The bristilian forces.

The whole region of bristle puts forward a regional defense force rather than wasting time and money on individual militaries. We focus mainly on navy as a land locked nation and have mininum forces on ground and air.

The Bristilian NAVY
Comprising of almost totally bristle made ships the navy is huge which is compensated for in the lack of air and ground forces
it includes:

The Bristilian Army
The bristilian army is extremmelly limited. It recieves almost no funds by comparison to that of the Navy and is only used for defensive purposes
it comprises of:
300,000 full time troops
2 million reserves
200 heavy tanks
300 medium tanks
1000 mech infantry
200 hercules transports
10,000 swordtails (the elites of the military)

the Bristilian airforce
300 harriers
300 apache attack helicopters
150 stealth bombers

The bristilian Space forces
2 Assult carriers
20 Corvettes
40 fighters

The Bristilian Intelligence Organisation (BIO)
12,000 full time intelligence staff working behind desks with administrative duties
500 spies
