Bardista, THE GULF STATES-Round 2 of the NSF1 World Championship opened up at Stafford Raceway Park, as 4 teams took to the track for day one testings. At the end of the day, Eagth Motor Racing's Zexion Xixion held the fastest time followed by Alex Belmore. For the second testing session in a row, Buk Franella found himself in a very undesirable location when his Progressa Racing machine found the tire barrier.

The Ruschic capitol, Melakko
Presidential building
---

The Ruschic leader, Sovereign Rustito (as he apparently likes being called by his staff), sits on his enormous couch in his equally-large presidential office, staring at an eighty-inch television set. The NSF1 cars on the screen (accompanied by the very annoying sound, which Rustito has turned up FAR too greatly) aren't the only motor-racing-related things in the room at that moment. There's a very large assortment of auto racing garbage, most of which Rustito has obviously purchased with his country's money. He fails to see the numerous papers on the desk in front of him showing exactly how much of their budget he's blown on racing crap -- Including that giant cardboard cut-out of NSF1 driver Alexander Cooper positioned right behind his desk -- since he's using the papers as a coaster for his sodas while he watches the practice.

"Er, sir," poor old Hal Allen, Rustito's secretary of defense utters from behind his leader, "have you been looking at our budget as of late? We've been losing money for the past month, not from our air force but from random government spending, and it's because--"

Allen realizes Rustito hasn't heard a word he's said, mainly due to the extremely loud bee-like engine sounds coming from the obnoxiously large television set.

"SIR!" Allen has to yell this time. "HAVE YOU BEEN LOOKING AT OUR BUDGET LATELY?"

"YEAH," Rustito responds at an equal noise level, not taking his eyes off the action, "I'VE BEEN WATCHIN' HIM FOR THE LAST THIRTY MINUTES. HE'S REALLY MOVING!"

"NO! OUR BUDGET! BUDGET!"

"FUDGE IT?" Rustito still isn't taking his eyes off the practice session. "NO, TELL THE GIRLS I'LL BE READY IN A LITTLE WHILE!"

Allen sighs and takes out that familiar bottle of headache medicine as the walls begin to rumble as Rustito turns the volume up even louder...

Track = Stafford Raceway Park
City = Stafford
State = Bardista
Nation = The Gulf States

Meanwhile, Tony Fiskeri and Humberto da Silva are in the garage area at Stafford Raceway Park.

Fiskeri: Oh man. This is brutal. We're still middle to back of the pack. And this is our home track. We got to fix up the cars for the race. We can't embarass ourselves like this.

da Silva: I still got to pick up a couple of seconds.

Fiskeri: I wonder what the crew thinks is wrong with the cars.

da Silva: I'm not quite sure, it was driving ok though.

Fiskeri: Obviously our setups quite frankly suck.

da Silva: I believe so too. I'm just wondering how I'm nearly a second behind you.

Fiskeri: What do you do while you're out on the track.

da Silva: I'm a bit more conservative. I'm not out to go drive off the course, hit the wall, screw up the car. Stuff like that.

Fiskeri: Don't care so much. If things happen, they happen.

Announcer: "Aaron Schrock President of Great Eagth, and owner of Eagth Motor Sports, will now come out to give his first address on his race team,and their success."

Schrock: "Hello, and thanks for coming to this press conference which will hopefully be the first of many. I am exstatic that my team has been doing so well in their qualifying efforts. At the last race, we started second, here we have not only second, BUT the POLE POSITION! We hope we can continue our success throughout the remainder of this season, and even next season.We are very confident in our teams drivers and crews,we feel we could win a championship here within the first few years of this league."

Schrock: " Now, onto another issue, the country of Great Eagth would like to have its newly built racepark (Haximandos Raceway)added to the schedule for next season. It has a 4 mile long superspeedway,but it has (like most all superspeedways) a road-coure track on the inside of it. The road course is 5 miles long, it has many hills, and 14 turns, it has aobut 1 mile of track under-ground (built like a tunnel in the road). It would be a first in racing. It is safe, we have had Zexion Xixion along with 10 other drivers run over 1000 laps there in the last month to test safety. We had one major wreck in the tunnel section, that ended up in a 4 car crash, however it was no fault of the track, it was just that four of the un-named drivers tried to race 4 wide through there,which they couldnt, thus causing a crash, the only injuries, were a concusion and a broken collarbone."

Schrock: " I hope you consider this, thank you."

Humberto at least finished a race for once. And Fiskeri still can't get a top five. It's like Jimmy Spencer and Todd Bodine on the same team...

Valiniar, FALASTUR(DP)-There was plenty of action during the first day of testing as several teams found out that The Star of Samilis circuit it much more daunting than it seems. Three of the four drivers found themselves stuck in gravel at one point or another, mostly on the faster turns, where lateral grip is a must. Zexion Xixion posted the fastest time.
